Rhysand had sent Azriel out for a recruitment project with a local thief. This thief was stealing goods and distributing them. So because Rhysand wants to help his city, he wants your guidance.

When Azriel saw you, he thought you were beautiful. Granted, he could only see your eyes and hair. But he saw an all black suit that hugged your figure and a black mask that brought out the color of your eyes.

So when he approached you, he thought it would be easy-peasy.

However, you took the fucking Shadowsinger of the godsdamned Night Court coming at you full fucking speed as a bad sign. 

So naturally you fought back and got away. Not only were you a siren with your eyes but your voice too. You had quite the mouth on you.

Azriel had come back to Rhysand and Feyre in shock. 

“How did she get away?” Rhysand asked in pure bewilderment. 

“I let her go.” Azriel stated. 

Rhys paused, “you what?” 

“I let her go. Because shit got weird.” He shuddered. Feyre put a hand over her mouth to hide her laughter. 

“Explain.” Rhys demanded but was also fighting a smile. 

“Okay, I had her cornered, we were fighting, it was a normal altercation.” His hands begun flailing as he talked with them. “And then my hand ended up around her throat, she looks me dead in my pupils into my soul and says ‘harder’.” Azriel then shrugged in a way that said I don’t know what happened but it sure did happen. 

“And I’m.” He swallowed. “I’m looking at her and I’m like ‘excuse me?” 

Azriel just shook his head staring at the floor. “I didn’t know what to do.”

Feyre fully snorted. “Well, there goes that recruitment opportunity.” She nudged Azriel’s foot with her own. “Nice to see even a 500 year old trained warrior gets flustered.”

Rhysand laughed, “I don't know, maybe she’ll show up again.” 

About a few weeks later, Azriel was out with the Inner Court and the Valkyrie. It was pride night at Ritas, Mor and Emerie were disgustingly in love and Azriel could not be happier for them. 

He saw you across the dancefloor, looking gorgeous in a satin mini dress that was baby pink. It hugged your curves deliciously. 

Something in him told him that he knew you from somewhere. But he couldn’t place where. He shrugged it off and walked up to you to ask you to dance. He was never this forward, but he didn’t know how he became so confident. 

It was only later that he realized where he knew you from.

could you write a azriel/reader fic where he only starts dating reader because elain and gywn are not interested in him and she's available and she overhears someone else talking about it a few months into their relationship but sees azriel being involving in their relationship and deludes/convinces herself into thinking he really likes her, but something happens and they fight(jealousy? you can choose a reason tbh) and he tells her that he only dated her bc elain/gywn weren't interested in the heat of the moment(maybe she brings it up? or he could say it himself tbh, idm) and has to grovel. you can take this whichever direction you want to, if you have other ideas about certain areas!

He was a thunderstorm. Lethal yet so beautiful. Like a pyre, lighting up the darkness and calling you in. Calling them all in. Weaving the traps and lurking in his shadows. The unlucky soldier of love. Falling and falling and falling but never finding the right one. Never finding the satisfaction. Never finding that peace deep within. “You look in need of company”, he mused. Although now that you look back on it. It was his gaze that kept on going back and forth between your table and the one he had abandoned. “You look in need of water”, you chuckled watching him sway even while sitting down. “It’s nothing”, he hiccuped with a smile, “I just had to come to say hi, you had my attention all night”. Your heart had skipped a beat. Who wouldn’t have dreamed of being admired by the spymaster of the night court? “Just pretty words”, you brushed him off. “If I swung over to your shop tomorrow and told you the same thing stone sober would you believe me?” You had thought nothing of it. Nothing until he showed up. And said the exact thing he had promised just hours ago.

Everything that followed suit was a whole mess of everything. Stolen kisses. Long nights spent talking. Hand-written letters. He was there. Always. Everywhere. And innocent touches had quickly turned into racing heartbeats. Sweaty bodies. Cries of pleasure as he unraveled parts of you, you didn’t know existed. It was sweet. Blooming slowly.

“Accompany me to a ball in spring tomorrow night?”, he whispered, kissing your shoulder. “Tomorrow night?”, you gasped, “I have nothing appropriate to wear”. You shook your head. “Don’t worry it’s taken care of”, he brushed a strand of hair away from your face, “I wasn’t gonna go, but… plans changed and quite frankly, I would love to show you off”, Azriel smiled at you. How your heart had soared when the thought of being his officially crossed your mind.

But you should have known that it was too good to be true. Should have seen the signs. Should have known. From the moment you opened the box with the dress. To pull out a baby pink gown, laced with flowers. You had frowned slightly, imagining that he would have wanted you to wear something close to his sapphire blue, to the depths of his shadows. But you had pushed it all aside. Maybe it was a themed party in spring. Maybe light colors were a must.

Then there was a whole lot of him being distant. He was close to you, yes but his mind was elsewhere. Azriel’s eyes barely stayed on you. Instead, he was scanning the crowd. Pulling you with him as if you were only an added accessory. “Az, are you looking for something?”, you asked starting to feel frustration bubbling. “No, just… need to see someone”, he muttered. “Can you do that alone? Or do I need to be dragged around like a dog”, you huffed, pulling your hand out of his. “Don’t be childish…”, he grunted.

And then he halted. Making you slam into the side of him. And you wished you hadn’t looked up because you imagined knew who had his full attention. There she was in a yellow dress. Golden curls flowed down her shoulders. She was stunning. You got the appeal. Azriel stepped forward. Your hand was forgotten. A light gasp slipped past your lips as you watched him go. “Az”, you called out walking right after him. But he never answered.

You watched him embrace Elain. Watched her smile at him. A fire burning you from within. You had no idea what part of you possessed you to walk towards them. But you did. “Azriel”, you called out once more. “Elain”, he muttered, “this is yn”. “I’m his girlfriend”, you added, extending your hand to her. She only smiled at you. “Love the dress”, she looked you over. “Azriel got me the same one but I didn’t love the color so I sent it back”, your face fell, alongside your heart. “And the necklace. Didn’t you give this to Gywn?”, she chuckled, before tapping your cheek, “You sweet thing”. Her eyes turned to Azriel for a brief moment, “You know where to find me”, she whispered. And even if Azriel didn’t nod. Even if there wasn’t a single way to know what was on his head. You knew his mind was made. You knew where those late-night calls took him.

You let out a bitter laugh before turning away from him. “Y/n”, he called out but you were done. Done being plaid. “Your bitches shit? Seriously Azriel? You gift me the same shit you gave to other bitches you fucked?”, you hissed turning to face him. “Don’t call them like that”, he muttered. Your wind eyes watched him, “The audacity… You are a fucked person”, you practically spat at him.

“I needed you, okay?”, he hissed, walking after you. “What for? To be your punching bag? A heartbreak fuck?”, you whinnied, pulling at your hair. “I liked you, okay, you caught my eye”, Azriel replied, making you halt. “Past tense. You used the past tense”, you turned to face him, “Liked”, and your eyes looked him over. “I didn’t want to hurt you, I just…”, he started. “I curse you, Azriel from the night court. I curse you in love”, an angry tear slipped past your cheek, “May you never find peace with any of your future lovers”.

Then, regrettably - for him, Rita was sure that Bellatrix didn’t have a single regret - the guy had tried to pull Rita back towards him again.

Bellatrix had not been impressed.

In fact, she’d been so unimpressed that she’d pulled Rita behind her and punched the guy in the face.

Things had devolved from there.

The night had ended with Rita in their hotel en-suite pressing a damp towel to where the guy, who apparently carried a knife, had cut Bellatrix across the side of her waist, and Bellatrix spinning the knife she’d stolen from the guy between her fingers and complaining because ‘if he was gonna carry a knife, he should at least know how to use it’. She’d come out of the fight with nothing more than the cut on her side and a few bruises but the guy had been bleeding profusely from several stab wounds, on the brink of unconsciousness, when Rita had managed to pull Bellatrix away from him so they could sneak out of the bar before they got caught up in the consequences, so it was fair to say that Bellatrix had come out on top overall.

Rita was sure that meant something; Bellatrix had never really held herself back from starting fights, she was violent by nature, something burning hot in her blood, but this had been more brutal than usual, more aggressive, fueled by something different to her usual motivators (vengeance, spite, boredom). And as they walked home, Rita was trying to put pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding a bit before they got back to the hotel and Bellatrix had said “I like when you have my blood on your hands” like that didn’t make Rita want to make her bleed more, canine teeth sinking into the side of her neck, fingers digging into her back and blood drying under her nails.

That must have meant something - the look on Bellatrix’s face after she’d said that, eyes burning, that infuriating smirk, like she knew exactly what Rita was thinking, like she wanted her to do it.

He had so much good shit this episode. First of all he actually sounded like capital N Nureyev, not ransom or anyone else. Second of all he was so willing to put himself in harm's way for this heist!! He's acting so much like he was when he was younger, desperate to get the job done, insisting he can do it even when it's obvious he's overreaching because he wants it so badly

Thoughts after the fact:

What vespa was saying about nureyev acting differently..... could be read as him being nervous but I can't help but think with him having been talking in his own voice all episode, what if he just wasn't putting up a persona? I don't think it would be much of a leap to think that nureyev in actuality is much quieter than the personalities he wears, but idk, just a thought

This is further to discussions that were had on the tpp adults server but uhh juno is So smart and should have been listened to earlier not just in this episode, but like going back to part one he's been pointing out buddy's questionable decisions she's made to put off this heist for almost the whole year!! I know..... that jet has been lined up as buddy's successor...... but like idk I feel like that's not a role that suits jet rly?? The symbol he left behind is the only thing keeping the citizens of brahma safe - and not even that tbh, it’s only providing the illusion of safety, if this is actually the case. SOOOOO I’M BACK FROM RANGERSTOP 2019!!  i had a super awesome time running my first art booth, and so many other amazing things happened as well! (copy-pasted from my twitter threads lmao i’m still so tired)

DAY 1 SHENANIGANS:

- so far the booth has been a fun experience!!  I sold a few prints stickers and a shirt!!  and even when people didn’t buy anything it was still great talking to people esp this family with little kids who were SO excited to hear about me meeting ajj 

- LOTS OF ACTORS CAME BY OUR BOOTH TOO some for just a few seconds but they said they’d come back the rest of the weekend.  special mention goes to Richard Mystic Force who did that cute cheesy YOU DREW THIS?????  THAT’S AMAZING spiel i love him so much

- APPARENTLY CARLA RITA REPULSA CAME BY THE BOOTH AND LOVED MY RITA/ZEDD PRINT WHILE I HAD STEPPED OUT I WAS SO UPSET so I gotta take her a print tomorrow

- DWAYNE MERCURY RANGER IS SO SWEET AND MY NEW BEST FRIEND he remembered me from pmc and we just talked about everything from hugh jackman to what programs I used to draw.  He’s so wig

- I went to see nic mystic force yellow and I mentioned I hadn’t eaten all afternoon and he was like “oh me neither do you want something??” and just. pulled a giant bag of starbursts out from under his table and handed it to me

- MELODY ASTRONEMA IS SOOOO NICE AND SWEET SHE TOLD US SHE LOVED US INSTANTLY AFTER WE INTRODUCED OURSELVES!!!!!!  also her favorite astronema wig was the blue one just for trivia reasons.  and she agreed with me that the wildcat zord looked like a sheep

- also someone pulled the fire alarm so we had to evacuate for like fifteen minutes.  our first thought was SAVE THE TOYS

DAY 2 SHENANIGANS:

- so the day started out awesome when aljin jungle fury stopped by our booth before the crowds started!!!  his fiancé got one of my alpha shirts WHICH SHE WORE THE REST OF THE DAY I WAS DYINGGGGG

- ALSO he stopped by later and he had a little box of krispy kreme donuts so of course I was like “lol power rangers always get krispy kreme” and he was like “oh do you want one?????” So that’s the story of how I got a donut from Theo Martin.

- I MET CARLA PEREZ RITA REPULSA!!!!!!  I GAVE HER A PRINT AND SHE LOVED IT.  she wanted a shirt too but I didn’t have any her size :c so she told me to dm her once my store was ready!!  I’M GONNA SLIDE INTO RITA REPULSA’S DMS

- I asked her about her scenes with zedd and she said she always had a great time with the suit actor!!  she’s been wanting to get him to come to a con but he’s kinda ghosted which is kinda a recurring thing whenever we talk to actors about casts

- speaking of talking about casts we chatted with Dwayne and apparently he’s still on great terms with the overdrive girls but hasn’t heard from the boys in years.  which sucks bc idt we’ll ever get a full overdrive reunion BUT HEY we can hold out hope for girls coming back

- WE’RE MAKING FRIENDS WITH SO MANY CAST MEMBERS Richard Mystic Force passed by when we were packing up and he was like “ARE YOU OFF???” and checked that we would be there tomorrow I love him

- BUT YEAH tbh I didn’t go around to cast members too much today, but I sold lots of stuff!!!!!!  it’s such a great feeling that people like my stuff enough to buy it dhhdhd

- OH ALSO we saw Glenn Ninja Storm and I asked about the visor-opening thing - apparently that wasn’t an irl thing, they wore a closed helmet, then stopped the filming and switched to an open helmet, and the opening effect was added in post.  just fun trivia

DAY 3 SHENANIGANS:

- ALJIN’S FIANCEE WORE MY ALPHA SHIRT AGAIN!!!!!

- but okay today was the last day and so business was a little slow SO i made more of an effort to see the actors.  my main one was rj cyler!!

- literally the first thing out of my mouth was YOU’RE TALLER THAN I IMAGINED he thought that was funny djdhdj but all of our conversations involved me craning my neck up.  enduring neck pain for you king

- we talked a lot about his little role in swamp thing!!!!!  mostly about how his characters are always dying specifically dying in water.  he’s like it’s awful bc his mom watches everything he’s in and it’s like NOOOOOO

- also at some point Walter Jones came over and he and RJ had a moment and he was like “sorry for taking your time!!” like king no Walter Jones can interrupt me any time he wants thank you sir

- then we spent literally ALL OF OUR TIME WITH WILL NINJA STEEL IT WAS SO GOOD we had a big group hug at the end and his biceps were literally crushing my neck.  I’m sorry this is gonna sound like a kink but thank you king

- nic mystic force yellow randomly stopped by the booth and we started talking about my nick/fire heart print.  apparently everyone on the cast HATED saying fire heart bc saying it in an American accent was just so weird and different compared to saying it in a kiwi accent

- Richard mystic force was leaving until he made eye contact with me across the center and walked all the way to us to say bye.  somehow I became bffs with nic and richard?? well nic is chip solidarity at least.  richard is just really really hot

He was one of my first guy friends ever and he was very nice to me from the very beginning; always made sure I felt like I belonged in a crowd. Also studies in UP and I think he is taking up sports science because he wants to go on to med school. abby/abbey: This is my mom’s name. She goes by the first spelling. I know an Abby from high school; she studies in La Salle now. adam: I don’t know him personally but there used to be a dude from WhatCulture Wrestling (a popular YouTube channel) named Adam – he was my favorite to watch until he got caught in a major fuck-up and was booted from the group. adel adrienne ajee

ajla alan: I have an uncle named Allan. He was part of my dad’s friend group in college; they met each other in their org. He was in every birthday party when I was a kid, but I don’t see him anymore now because his family already migrated somewhere else. alex: Broad comm student who plays the guitar and sings well; I haven’t talked to her. I also knew an Alex from 6th grade and she was just...not a very bright student. She had to move because I don’t think her grades reached the standard in my school, and now I think she lives in California. If not there, then somewhere else in the States. She had a serious car accident in the middle of the sem and had to wear like a nose brace thing for the rest of the sem. alycea/alycia alyssa: I rode the school bus with a girl named Alyssa but I was much closer to her older sister Alex. There’s also an Alyssa from broad comm and I was classmates with her in my political science, history, and broad comm classes for this semester. She’s the niiiiiiiicest girl and would always help me out if I have missing notes or whatever. amanda: Girl from my org who’s taking up engineering. I was her VP last semester, but she had personal problems and so she wasn’t able to work much under me. Whenever she did, though, she was always reliable. Quiet girl, a little socially awkward. amari amber andrew: I first met him at a rally/protest I attended in 2017. Hit it off well right from the start because I saw that he was wearing a wrestling shirt, so we bonded over WWE that day. He plays the guitar and has released his own EP, is a junior DJ at one of the hip radio stations in Manila, and has done his fair share of hosting gigs. He used to take up engineering but shifted to journalism as he likes it better. We first met each other in Grade 1 when we were 7, and we became friends after I stabbed her palm with a newly-sharpened pencil. She still has the pencil mark today. anna: Anna is a popular secondary name in the Philippines, but no one actually uses it as their main name. anne: Same with Anne. annie: My grandma’s best friend who used to come over the house every Sunday. Like I said in the past survey, I’m honestly not sure if she’s still alive lol. She was already pretty old when I was still very young. anthony aasad ashley: I *think* I have a distant cousin named Ashley that I first met at a family reunion last year. But let’s be real, Filipino families are huge and I don’t even know if I remember her name correctly, if she’s even an Ashley. aubri: One of my closest friends in high school was Aubrey. We were very, very close in junior year until she dropped a bomb on me that her family was migrating to California by the time we start senior year. She’s in UCLA right now and as far as I know she is killing it over there. austin autumn: I know an Autumn from my wrestling fandom days. I think she was a redhead, but I don’t remember anything else. barbara becca: A girl from broad comm. She was one of the principal actors in one of the productions we did for BC and she has a really cute laugh. Super elegant; she reminded me a little bit of Audrey Hepburn because she was really graceful. She’s the older sister of my orgmate Rita, who’s from psych. ben beth bethany betty: I have a friend-ish named Bettina. Betty’s kind of like a goofy nickname; she actually doesn’t use it but I think it still counts. I’ve known her since first grade; she peed her skirt in our first day of Grade 1 and I remember her crying a lot. She had a wild TV show phase starting from Grade 5 and she was into Nicole Kidman, Paula Abdul, Kara DioGuardi, Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Stana Katic, Kate Walsh, etc etc etc and a bunch of shows like Private Practice, Grey’s Anatomy, Castle, Suits etc etc etc. She was super shy, very awkward in person so I’m glad her love of TV shows and actresses sprung her into life for the most part. I honestly used to be so envious of this name of hers because I thought it sounded really nice, but now I think it kinda sounds like a bratty name hahaha. brendan brian: I have an uncle named Bryan, but we aren’t related. He’s my mom’s cousin’s husband. He’s VERY shy and likes to keep to himself or his kids at family gatherings but turns really cool when he’s had a little to drink. brittany/brittney/brittni brock brooke bruce buck cameron camille: Nice girl from my childhood school bus. There’s an unofficial norm in private schools in that when you’re older, you get to be mean to the younger kids. Not her. She was always nice and include us second graders in her antics in the bus, even though she was several years older. I was bummed when I found out they moved to the States. candy carina: I used to ride the school bus with a Carina but she was much younger. I was already in high school when she was in kindergarten. She’s the younger sister of Carissa, who I always found to be pretty weird. Anyway, these girls were clearly rich and pampered; they had a nanny ride with us in the bus. carly: I had an Internet friend named Carley; she was my first online best friend. We met here on Tumblr in like 2012 and got close because we were both huge fans of Stephanie McMahon at the time haha. We would video-call EVERY afternoon when I would come home from school while she would get ready for school (she’s from Pennsylvania). Eventually she’d disappear off the face of the earth and stopped talking to me but resurfaced a few months later. She’d continue to do this like 10 other times until I got tired of getting my hopes up of having her back. She’s tried reconnecting with me again on DMs but I just ignored it cos I knew there was a good chance she’d just cut off our communication again. We’re still Facebook friends and she’d pop up on my news feed from time to time, but that’s it. carol: I have a great-aunt named Carol. But my grandma has so many sisters that I honestly do not remember which one she is. carrie cassandra: I had a batchmate named Kassandra, who went by Kasey. Really bright, sweet, intelligent girl. She moved to Singapore in 7th grade. She was very, very simple and very kind to everyone and you wouldn’t be able to tell that she’s crazy rich. Her dad’s a top exec for a famous food and drink company and she lives in the same village I do–their house is guarded 24/7. cassidy chantel charlotta chelsie: Chelsea’s part of our high school friend group and is also crazy rich. We always hung out at her place because her house is huge. She’s very maarte, which I cannot really translate to English...the closest term is probably high maintenance hahaha; but she’s very sweet and generous and kind too. cheryl chris: One of Gabie’s best friend is a Kris. Other than liking outdoorsy stuff like going to the beach and hiking which is all I know about her, I think she’s also half-American. christopher: I have an uncle with this name but like I said his nickname is Perry. He works abroad like my dad (his brother-in-law) and my dad’s sister (his sister-in-law). cienna clare: Guidance counselor for several grade school levels. Understandably, she is very maternal. I once had a nasty fight with another girl and we had to be sent to her office. clarissa: Went to school with a Clarisa. We first met in Grade 4 because she rode my school bus, and instantly clicked. She was very nice, very sweet; she was simple to the point that, like Kasey, you’d have no clue how rich she was. She lives in a huge mansion now but she lived in a huge house before that as well, it’s crazy. Really, really sweet and she would give the best hugs. I played table tennis a lot with her in high school too. She studies in Miriam now but I’m not so sure about her course. claudia: Already said a lot about her in the last survey. Popular girl her whole life. She still goes to a bunch of parties but she is so much nicer now than she was when we were younger. cody cole collin corey corinne: One of my former teachers named her daughter Corinne. I think she’s 8 this year. courtney crissy: Chrissy was one of my very best friends in preschool and grade school. She looked Chinese even though she had a Filipino-sounding surname, and I was never sure if she had Chinese blood or not. She was boyish so she was very rowdy, liked to play rough, and punched other girls if she got pissed; but other than that she was very quiet and shy. She was constantly on the basketball team too. She’s from business ad and was juggling another org so she wasn’t very active at all to begin with. Her performance just plummeted every month and she ended up ghosting my org last semester–never replied to anyone when we tried to check up on her. I was very mad at her until she restarted contact with us recently and explained how tumultuous stuff suddenly got in her personal life and mental health that she had to take care of herself for a while, which we all understood immediately. She’s coming back to the org this year and we’re more than ready to welcome her. She’s very charming, goofy, and kind. He’s a new faculty member but is craaaazy good at teaching; clearly knows what he’s talking about. He was passionate about his subject and I always admired that about him. I was really sad when class had to end. grace: I have a great-aunt named Grace; he’s my late grandpa’s sister. She’s really...quite fabulous; she has connections with super prestigious people and has a fancy wardrobe. She’s the only Filipino grandmother I know who goes by ‘Nana’ to her grandkids, which I note because Nana is like a super Western thing afaik. She has drama queen tendencies though and can be sensitive to a lot of things lmao. gracie hannah: One of the close friends I’ve made in college so far! Our first meeting was when she and Macy moved from UP Los Banos to the Diliman campus (where I study) and the three of us enrolled in our classes together. I was closer to Macy first, but eventually me and Hannah got a stronger friendship. Best groupmate, workmate, and David Archuleta fan I know. Sings great and plays the piano great. We were never in the same cliques but she is one of the friendliest people I know. She knows how to talk to anyone which I appreciated. We bonded over One Direction in high school and she also confided in me a few times about her relationship and how her parents forbade her from seeing her boyfriend because he was trans. She also studies in my school now, taking up business economics. I’ve only met him twice; once when he was a newborn, and then when he celebrated Christmas 2018 with us. Spoke straight English, is intelligent, but is a huge goofball and very mischievous/rebellious. She was a smartass and liked testing the teachers’ patience whenever she can, but she always did it in a very funny way I think. She was often called to the guidance counselor’s office for having relationships with other students (I went to a Catholic all-girls’ private school, so this was obviously not allowed) but she always stood her ground about it and was never afraid to fight back. I found her to be verrrrry pretty and she had the biggest, most piercing eyes; until I found out that she was one of those die-hard Catholics who are vehemently pro-life. She once defended a fraternity whose members were confirmed to be misogynist, sexist, racist, homophobic and transphobic pieces of shit in a leaked groupchat simply because she believes in ‘forgiveness.’ She caused another ruckus two weeks ago when she made known her pro-life views well known. I wanna unfriend her ass so bad but she just keeps making all the wrong opinions that I just wanna stay and watch her get schooled by my less-than-thrilled college mates hahaha. lina liz: If I remember correctly, there was an Elizabeth from my wrestling fandom who went by Liz. She lives somewhere in the UK, had reddish hair, and was in love with John Cena lmao. She would sometimes make edits too. loren: Other than the Lauren I mentioned in the previous survey, I also had a friend named Lauren from the Tumblr wrestling community too. She was one of the first friends I made. We became close for a while because we rode the school bus together and she would lend me the other half of her earbuds so we can listen to Ashley Tisdale’s Headstong and Vanessa Hudgens’ V every day (this was when High School Musical was peak popular). She sort of had a tumultuous family life here until she moved to Hawaii a few years ago. I think she may have moved to California now too. maria: Again, this is like the base name for like half of all Filipina girls. It’s so common that it’s just simply shortened to ‘Ma.’ because everyone knows what it stands for. marina marisa: Kayla’s middle name is Marissa. marquis mary: Macy’s first name is Mary. mathew: I know a bunch of Matthews from both high school and college but they all go by Matt. The one I remember the most is Matthew from another high school friend group who was close with my group. Our group was invited to their Christmas party, and they had a gimmick that each member of their group was gonna be paired with someone from ours, and it was gonna be a costume party. I was paired up with Matthew (but they called him Cho), but I never went to the party so I never got to meet him. I’m sure he’s nice, though. matt: See Mathew. maura mechelle: I have an orgmate named Michelle. She’s clumsy, kinda awkward, but she does it in a very cute way and we all love her because she’s so funny haha. She passed the toughest med school program in the COUNTRY but chose journ in the end. She was very smart but I remember her to be deathly afraid of walking on beams when we had to do it in PE. She moved schools in the fifth grade, and she studies in UST now. michael: His full name is Michael, but Mike is a guy I almost went out with in high school. Wasn’t really attracted to him, but he’s like super smart so it was a huge plus point for me lol. I also have an orgmate named Michael but we all call him Elis. He’s unreliable. miranda: If surnames count, Gabie’s best friend’s last name is this haha. molly monica: Some girl who went to my old school but transferred schools early on, like in 2nd or 3rd grade. She was Gabie’s childhood friend though so I still hear from her from time to time. She’s in UP now too, but I don’t know what course she’s taking. morgan nashid natasha: I went to high school with a girl named Natasha, but she goes by Tashie. Huge girl and a beast at softball. I was originally iffy because she didn’t get online to work until like 11 PM, but when I did see her start working, she was a GODDAMN BEAST. Amazing. Did everything I assigned to her. When I met her in person the next day, she spoke very well and was very put-together. My respect for her soared even more after that. I dropped my application soon after for unrelated reasons but it was a pleasure working with her. Last I heard, she’s a councilor-elect in her local college’s student council. rachel: My math teacher in Grade 1 was a Rachel. I don’t remember her at all, except for the fact that when she found our class noisy one day, she completely stopped talking and mimed everything for the rest of the 45-minute period. raheim raven: Creepy, weird dude from my org who’s always looking for a dick to suck. I’m not even trying to insult him, he’s just perpetually thirsty and makes sure the whole world knows it for some reason. ray renee: Sweet, intelligent, hilarious girl from my high school. We all just kinda naturally flock to protect her from bad influences or creepy people because she just has such a sweet soul. She’s my successor VP in my committee. robby: I have an Uncle Rob, but he doesn’t go by Robby. He’s the husband of my aunt (my mom’s cousin). He’s from New Zealand and has a Masters or a PhD in film theory, I don’t actually remember which. ryan: I used to see him a lot at a relative’s house until I was like 8. I’ve never seen him since and don’t actually know how he’s related to us or me lmfao. sabrina samantha: I have a younger cousin named Samantha. Sam was born and raised in New York but visited the Philippines last year and I was primarily in charge of taking care of her. She’s just the cutest darling I’ve seen and has the most perfect accent ahuhuhuhuhuhu. She likes My Little Pony. sara sarica sean: Someone from a lower batch in high school has this name. She was a gentle giant; like she was a naturally big girl but was very soft-spoken and SUPER shy. She was kinda mean in grade school but got nicer as we got older. I never really got the chance to know her well. tori trevor trisha: Another high school batchmate. All I remember was that she would cheat on tests by changing her wrong answers when the teachers would give our results back so they could correct it for her. ALTON ADVENTURES BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

So...because its Friday and I usually update AA on Fridays, I figured it was time to make my big announcement! 

And that is...that Alton Adventures is changing. A little bit. 

Am I rebooted the comic again? No haha! Once I get back to it it shall continue as normal but some characters may look a bit different going forward. 

Who may those characters be?

Sir Gareth Nemesis 

Why is he changing? 

Sir Nemesis’ change is actually less drastic than one may think. For starters, he needed a design rehaul. I wanted his armor to be more simple, easier to draw but with still details that could tie him to Nemesis (the green eye, the arms, the light pink details instead of inconsistent tentacles). I also had an issue where his hair was too close to his skin color, so to combat this I turned him into a ginger! His eye color also changed from gold to green, another thing to visually tie him more to Nemesis. 

So yes, I changed Sir Nem’s design because I was unhappy with it. His armor was never drawn consistently ever, I was constantly changing the tone of his hair and his skin so that was inconsistent. I want my designs to be more consistent and polished going forward.

What else is different? Well, you can probably tell he looks much more serious, like in older pictures I drew of him. Why is that? Well, I was kind of..honestly tired of his role as the “dad character tm” that he kind of turned out to be. It almost undermined his true characterization and turned him into a typical over the top exaggerated hero character. And I started to realize how much I missed his original concept. A battle hardened solider that was filled with regret and remorse, who heavily sympathizes with the plight of the alien he’s locked in combat with. He’s still much a father however, as he has a biological son and adopts an alien who mimics his likeness (hence another reason he’s a ginger now as his Nemesis daughter always was one). He’s just returned to his roots as a character. Because I felt that characterization was a unique one for the Nemesis ride. And it was an idea I really loved. Sir Nemesis actually WAS one of my favorite characters...I wanted his role to be much larger than it is in the comics. I don’t blame anyone for him becoming a joke, I did initially kind of fuel the fire for it, I’m just hoping that its not to late to get back to the Sir Nemesis I originally wanted to write. And of course, all my characters are still meme and joke worthy. I just want to tackle much more serious issues with my comic and show the more serious side of some of my characters and don’t want there entire existence to be a joke Mr.S can’t have too many folks 1 uping him in the laughs department!  I guess to note with this change that his original voice claim has also been solidified as well. It’s a more somber and serious tone that I feel fits him as a character. 

Final Notes 

Sir Nemesis is a character that I have a lot of thought put into. His backstory is tragic, emotional, and his character is complex and he’s not the perfect hero people might image him as. I plan for his Arc to follow the Fireworks arc in the comic, as well as I am planning to start some more text heavy short stories about how the Secret Weapons became Secret Weapons (which I will likely call Secret Weapon Short Stories hehe) and will be writing his first. Also a very important thing i must address. Yes, the eye on his chest moves. (I have a gif but it doesn’t want to work on this post Ill have it up later ><)

Erica Annabelle Cloud 

ooof okay this is a huge one. Confession time. Erica was always my least favorite character. Why? She just had...no character. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with her, her design felt phoned in and there because I needed an Air/Galatica character, (yes, she is changing as her Galatica stage too). She was just. not well thought out. She had a dual identity but I think a lot of people didn’t pick up on that? She felt like a Rita 2.0 as just a nice and friendly optimistic person and literally had 0 backstory. Originally she was supposed to have had some sort of accident that turned her into Galatica and she had memory loss and forgotten about when she was Air, yeah it was a mess. That eventually just turned into Nebula Corona being a character she made up (bc her one trait was that she was into space and wrote a lot) that she played as when her rides themeing changed. 

She was just..barely a character and her design was abysmal (Her Galatica suit was okay but her Air outfit was an afterthought) She needed a massive visual upgrade. A sleeker flight suit that makes more sense (I used a ref or two for this design!) A different face shape to help her stand out more, my signature they wear glasses they have dot eyes look. Long, wispy, flowing hair to resemble those trails planes make. A bit more lanky and tall. And let me tell you I LOVE her design now. It looks so much more unique and you can just SEE she has so much more character now!  As for her characterization im going full into her being a nerd. A very tech nerd at that! She designed her suit to help her fly at her best, and eventually will be the one that designs and builds all her Galatica tech! Her Galatica design hasn’t been done yet, mostly bc I wanted to focus on her current comic canon design, but not much would change I feel with her upgrade anyways! She is effectively the brains of the group, and the others often turn to her for plans of attack when dealing with a situation, or innovative solutions to problems! I have yet to get a voice claim for her, but im sure one will come to me soon enough! 

Final Notes

Erica/Nebula was a character I struggled to connect with. Everyone else had Airs that were either super plot important, or just much more cool and creative in general. I felt, that with my Air/Galatica she was just there, and I wanted her to be more. So a full character rehaul was done with her and it makes me so happy. She feels much more fleshed out, better designed, and I’m super excited to do more stuff with her, and hopefully you will all see her much more now that I’m a lot happier with her as a character! <3

Black Hole, AkA Beatrix, will be joining the MAIN CAST of Alton Adventures! 

When I drew my Black Hole design, I knew she was something special. She stands out compared to a lot of my characters, and her design SCREAMS main character. While the biggest main roles will still be held by Mr. S and Rita, I wanted to add another non SW coaster to the main crew, and because Canonically Corkscrew is MIA, Black Hole seemed like a fitting addition to the main crew! As she isn’t human, a species literally only referred to as Black Holes, I thought making her a main character and giving her a big arc would help flesh out the reality of non humans in Alton Adventures! Her powers and design and character and personality are just too fun to shove her into the background. I feel that adding her to the main cast gives them not only another character to support them, but a closer friend! You will all see her much more in the future for certain! 

Well that's about it! In terms of comic updates themselves...its still going to be hiatus as long as I’m being swamped with school work. I hope you all understand. I’ll try to squeeze in updates over the breaks I have IF im not working on assignments for class. As I also said, I wanna do short stories as well, to expand the world and explain it better, as a comic will only develop the world so quickly and lots of you have tons of questions! I also wanna do something animated at some point, that’s my dream. I’ve ALSO mentioned to some people about merch, likely going for making stickers first since that's simple. I got an excited reaction for that so I’ll come up with designs for them soon! I just wanna do a lot with Alton Adventures, because I know how much it means to people, and of course it means so much. Goodness I really need to actually get to this park, I look quiet silly constantly gushing over a themepark I’ve never been to all the time XP  That all aside I thank you all for sticking by me. I promise that even if I don’t do comic updates as frequently during the school year, I’ll still work to push out as much AA content I can outside of that! I’m always open to suggestions to what you guys want to see! ALSO, working on a big google doc spreadsheet with info on all the characters I’ll be posting when its more completed! So be on the lookout for that!

While I will be 4ever salty about the wasted potential of Azazel and in turn azanina (and really Nina too) in favor of the Cheerio, my sister who finally caught up with VS said something great about it: "I can't believe they HAD to get rid of Azazel for 5 freakin episodes to make that guy remotely likeable or to try convincing us that him and Nina are better suited for each other" and now I'm grinning because it's true: they had nothing in favor of that guy so they had to remove the competition.

while I do think chari/nina is always endgame, the show doesn’t seem to know what do with chari’s development; as in, they need him to be cruel, but they also need him to be sympathetic, and they seem to choose a shortcut for this. it’s easy to change nina’s opinion since she’s a character they made, but there’s no controlling the viewers’ reaction, and the show needs the viewers to side with him a little or at the very least be invested in his plight, even when they don’t bother to disclose his plight at all lmao

remove the competition indeed, not a competition for nina’s heart, but for the viewers’ attention and sympathy. considering azazel had ranked in two magz popularity poll, azazel’s clearly winning despite having less screentime lol

tbh the setting itself is kinda weird tho:azazel:

had his capital city destroyed

losing half his kind in the slaughter while the other half ended up in slavery

is a vigilante freeing weak, tortured demons by night while working as undertaker by day

is a revolution fighter fighting to overthrow dictator

takes in a kid who is former slave despite not knowing the kid’s background

explicitly stating ready to die in order to stop demon slaughter

other named characters worry about him, implying he did something to make them care for him

is the culprit who destroyed a whole capital city using powers stolen from gods whom he killed bcs mommy dear got killed by bahamut

other named characters either despise him (jeanne, el) or think him horrible and want to stop him (kai, fava, rita)

like, if you look at their default setting in vs, it’s not hard to guess why more ppl would sympathize with azazel, despite the show’s effort to make azazel a ridiculous meme character.

and let’s be real, making a character cry doesn’t instantly make him more sympathetic lmao

Barba Theories Part 4

Again, I’ll separate this into personal/professional drama. I truly hope I didn’t miss any of your theories, but I may have, between the asks and the replies and the reblogs. Sorry if I did <3

Professional Misconduct

@all-things-raul-esparza mentioned William Lewis, along with an extremely accurate observation:

What if it has to do with William Lewis? Benson perjured herself during that trial and iirc Barba had at least some kind of knowledge/idea about it?

In this case he wouldn’t be able to go to Benson for help but she could also be involved in the episode (because we all know that there is no chance in hell that an episode can focus completely on a character other than Olivia Benson).

True that. I really want to see how Benson finds out, and if she scolds Barba, both for not telling her and for doing whatever it is he did. I imagine all the detectives will learn of Barba’s “secret” together, either via their investigation or via Barba finally coming clean (like he did about the death threats), and I think Liv will take that super-personally. Maybe we’ll get a reversal of the Tucker conversation, with Liv feeling betrayed this time, like @larkin21 mentioned here.

I could see that. My initial thoughts were that Barba can’t go to Benson because he doesn’t want to implicate her, but this would make sense too. That she’s already implicated, so Barba is desperate (and does that ill-advised thing) to help her, too. Not just himself. Maybe they’re both in this together, and that’s why Liv can’t know. @leaper182 also brought up October Surprise, by the way, and that would also be a great callback. Maybe we’ll finally find out what happened to the Full Muñoz.

@emmabean517 had another extremely interesting theory:

my other thought would be it somehow relates to his death threats and that he’s not receiving emails or something and he’s either paid the people off which I’m not sure would like that bad or he has started doing favors for the people threatening him or reducing charges or punishments or something 

That would be amazing! If they managed to tie the death threats into this. If Barba is being steadily blackmailed, doing “small” favors for the people threatening him (maybe offering deals for a more lenient sentence or dropping charges for “minor” offenses etc) in exchange for, well, his life, that would be both shady and understandable. Or if he’s paying them off in regular installments (which is information a hacker would definitely have access to).

I kind of love this idea.

Plus, it could work on two levels, because there’s a good chance Barba’s “ill-advised action” will be to pay off the hacker (who is also the perp, right?). Like, there’s Barba’s secret (which is career-threatening and involves potential misconduct) but then there’s that additional thing Barba does, after he becomes aware his secret is about to be revealed but before he tells Liv. For example, what if he offers to reduce the charges brought against the hacker/perp? Even if we disregard the death threats (which the writers clearly have), Barba will be facing a new threat, and maybe this is how he’ll respond to it.

Personal Misconduct

Again, a lot of you feel this could be it, and maybe you’re right.

@darkmeadow sent me an ask saying:

I have been burned by these writers too many times to think it will be something character-changing. So I agree with you that whatever it is probably won't be mentioned after that episode. For some reason, I really don't see it being something illegal. Barba is so smart, he wouldn't use his work email to confess or talk about a crime he committed or a law he bent to his own purposes. So that only leaves personal; maybe an inappropriate relationship? Ugh, it all kind of feels like a cheap trick

That’s what I think as well, about Barba being careful not to leave any evidence of any illegal shenanigans. But what kind of personal secret would threaten his career? An affair? So what? I mean, who is he fucking, lol? The DA, and that’s how he got the job? The DA’s spouse, and he wants to hide it? A convicted criminal? D:

If Barba is involved with someone mildly ‘inappropriate,’ like a cop or another ADA or a defense attorney like Rita, would that be “so big”? Who gives a crap? Unless “career-threatening” doesn’t necessarily mean “OMGGG A TERRIBLE SECRET!" and it just means "Barba might have to step down from his position at the DA’s office and go into private practice and make a lot of money”. Which is pretty underwhelming, if you ask me.

But what if he is having an affair and that’s the reason he did something illegal? A combo of the two? What if he shielded his significant other (who could be married, or a politician, or a defense attorney, etc) from scrutiny? What if his (current or former) significant other did something illegal and Barba covered it up, and now he’s forever implicated in that scandal? A sort-of redo of October Surprise?

Overall Comments

The emotion-toying anon sent me several comments, one of which I’ll post here (also, ET anon lol, I’m totally with you on the Sonny/Barba stuff and their potential, but I don’t think Benson’s possible FBI love interest is in any way involved with the Barba episode):

Can I just say how pissed off I am this Barba plot is in this POS season? Any other and we could have had Barba opting not to go to Liv but [trying to] soliciting help from Carisi; the cop he's closest to aside from Liv and who can talk to lawyer to lawyer. You'd have Carisi's lawyer/cop dilemma, and the "I'm going along with this bc I trust you, but I'm not sure we're going about this the right way" a la 17.05 - and then the fallout for both when Liv finds out. 

hehehehe Seriously though, it would be great if Barba turned to Sonny, like he did when the death threats hit, but this season that’s a pipe dream. I think Barba will turn to outside assistance, or he’ll take matters into his own hands. Because God forbid the writers integrate Barba as a character, and show him interacting with all his colleagues.

That said, I’m curious to see how the other detectives react. I hope we don’t just get Liv’s reaction lol what am i saying To be fair, though, we never did get Liv’s reaction to the death treats, so maybe now is the time?

Several anons asked if I think this could be setting up Barba’s exit (here’s an example):

Do you think Barba's Secret is a strategy to get rid of the character?

My answer is “maybe?” Again, I’m 90% sure this will be the standard “dramatic” character-centric episode, where Barba goes through something intense which is never mentioned again. But if Raul does want to leave (which I have no way of knowing), this could certainly jumpstart his exit. For what it’s worth, Raul is still filming, so whatever happens might happen during the season finale. We’ll have several more Barba episodes to look forward to, at the very least.

Lastly, a sweet anon sent me this, and I completely agree:

I’m with you, I just hope this doesn’t tarnish Barba’s character. Frankly, I don’t think it will. It’ll probably be something reckless, showing us that Barba can be a hothead, and maybe willing to bend the rules when it suits him (which we kinda knew already), but it won’t be something terrible.

- and honestly i’m more upset at the idea some people are theorizing that kat might be dead bc like uh. that would be.  Bad.  shattered grid has actually been pretty good at avoiding the “fridge the girl for the man pain” trope but idk about this.  the whole book is about man pain i feel they could try to pull this one off

AND SORTA KINDA RELATED after the panel i was sitting charging my phone and DAFNA PLEBAN THE EDITOR OF THE COMICS CAME OVER i said hi and SHE RECOGNIZED MY ART AND SAID SHE FOLLOWS ME HERE!!!!!!!!!  HELLO DAFNA IF YOU’RE READING THIS!!!!!  she was so nice and sweet and told me they still saw kim and tommy as being friends and family even if they weren’t Together Like That which was super nice to hear - now if we can only get it in the book/show lmao.
