Leon truly did not care about Krauser at all originally.

I've talked about some of the differences between original and remake Operation Javier before, since then I've thought more about the ending and it's dawned on me just how little Leon cared about Krauser. (This doesn't conflict with anything in my first post, it's just an addition that didn't occur to me until more recently.) Comparing his "relationship" with Krauser to everyone else that meant something to him in DSC, it's clear that Krauser was not someone he was at all emotionally attached to. Krauser was obsessed with Leon from the start, every thought he had during that mission connected to Leon, he thought that they had some sort of weird bond and Leon was attached to him too, when that's very clearly not the case.

Looking at Memories of a Lost City… Leon quickly becomes attached to everyone. Claire's instantly his ride or die partner, he wants to help her find her brother and get out of the city. They encounter Sherry, she runs away from them. Leon is hell bent on finding and rescuing this little girl he doesn't know and saw for like 2 seconds, to the extent he kicks a damn door down when Sherry crawls through an opening too big for him to go through. (Of course Claire was also hell bent on helping Sherry too, this post is just focused on Leon.) Ada is incredibly sketchy and doesn't want Leon's help, but Leon's instantly attached and wants to follow and help her, although he does prioritize Sherry over Ada and chooses to look for Sherry instead of Ada when forced to make a decision.

And of course after making it out of Raccoon City, Leon is willing to stay behind with Sherry so that Claire is free to keep looking for her missing brother… Then ends up agreeing to be a government slave in order to keep Sherry safe. He's willing to sacrifice so much for someone he barely knows.

Moving on to Game of Oblivion, which is the strongest part of my argument and has the most direct comparisons to make to how Operation Javier ends. We learn that Leon's selflessness didn't stop at him becoming a government agent for Sherry, he also used that position to help Claire and Chris. He had never met Chris before, and yet one of his first thoughts was apparently "I now have access to resources that can help me find Chris Redfield, the missing brother of the girl I knew for a day." He is able to find Chris, only to learn he can't tell Claire because now she's missing. Naturally, he just starts trying to locate Claire next. Citing the relevant Game of Oblivion Leon narration (emphasis mine):

Once Chris disappeared from the Mansion incident he was near impossible to track down. But using my newfound position in the government, I eventually discovered his location. I would have contacted his sister, but she was a ghost herself. So I turned my search over to Claire then, and eventually learned of her confinement on Rockfort Island. I shared this information with Chris. And he asked me to arrange a rescue mission before he set off on his own to find her.

The big takeaway here is that when someone Leon cares about, either directly like Claire or even indirectly with Chris, goes missing, he does not rest. He does everything in his power to find them. (Honestly, I think he also would have put extensive effort into finding Ada again if she hadn't faked her death.)

And he did nothing when Krauser disappeared! From the cutscene The Return, the normal good ending OJ cutscene (emphasis mine):

Manuela was later taken into custody by the U.S. government. She was put under strict surveillance... But so far there have been no reports of any changes to her body. Krauser's arm never fully healed and he was forced to leave the army. Where he went, no one knows.

Why did Manuela never lose her conscience? Was it something genetic? Or was she sustained by this land that's so rich with life? The virus continues to grow. Altering its form, strengthening perpetually. until the day it can be destroyed... In our bodies... in our souls.

Krauser went missing after the mission. Just like Chris was missing, and Claire was missing. But unlike with Claire and Chris, Leon just doesn't care. At all. Doesn't care enough to try to find Krauser, despite the fact he'll chase after and track down people he barely knows. Doesn't care enough to even speculate what may have happened to Krauser. He does not care. He's far more concerned about the mysteries of Manuela's infection than he is about Krauser's fate. He knows that Manuela is alive and well, and he's still more concerned and curious about her than he is Krauser, who for all he knows could very well be dead in a ditch somewhere.

If Leon had remotely cared about Krauser, I would have expected his ending narration to have something more like "Krauser's arm never fully healed, and he was forced to leave the army. After that, he mysteriously disappeared without a trace. I used every resource at my disposal to try to find him, but came up empty handed. To this day, no one knows where he went or what happened to him." The fact he didn't say anything like that, just briefly mentioned the fact Krauser disappeared before continuing to talk about Manuela, is very telling. Operation Javier and being partnered with Leon was a pivotal moment in Krauser's life, that mission was life changing for him, he was forever changed by it. But for Leon? Operation Javier was just another mission. It wasn't special. It didn't change the trajectory of his life. Krauser wasn't special, Krauser was just another random stranger he was forced to work with for a day.

I guess I'll close this with a thought I've had regarding original vs remake OJ recently… Despite genuinely preferring the DSC RE2 retelling to RE2R and having fun with OJ, I used to think that the remake Krauser/Leon mentor/rookie-actually a strong bond that wasn't one sided thing was better than the original dynamic. Krauser was creepy and obsessed with Leon, but Leon also admired Krauser and looked up to him as his mentor. But the deeper I get into the original dynamic and analyze it, the more it grows on me… Leon actually being in a position of power over Krauser but mostly treating him like an equal, Krauser clearly thinking he's more experienced than Leon and should be in charge, the fact Krauser rearranged his entire life because of Leon and was obsessed while Leon pretty much just moved on after the mission and forgot about him, there's plenty of compelling stuff there. It's not the long-term, more two-sided mentor and student relationship the remake presents, there's not really room to insert any type of shipping, logistically speaking (at least not anything mutual– Krauser was weirdly obsessed and definitely would have been down for some sex, but 1. Leon would not be interested and 2. The fact they were only around each other for a single mission, and weren't just alone together, they had Manuela with them, they wouldn't have had an opportunity even if Leon was interested.) compared to the longer term relationship the remake presents, but that doesn't mean there's nothing there worth exploring!

shifting to games like resident evil, silent hill, last of us, etc.. can be very intense most of the time and are not for everyone. this does not mean you shouldn’t be shifting to here just because it’s a lot to handle, i just recommend scripting safety hazards and making sure your mental health can handle realities like this. happy shifting 🤍

unfortunately, i forgot the date but i know for sure it was sometime in mid to late november— and i think it was a sunday as i had school the day after (whatever it’s not important tbh💀)

i had recently been in a great mindset at that time and i had reprogrammed my mind. i hadn’t used a method that night, i just meditated, said affirmations, then set the intention to wake up in my resident evil dr. this reality takes place in the events of raccoon city. it’s kind of like a mix of resident evil 2 and resident evil 3

i was woken up with loud banging on my door, i was confused because i didn’t have school that morning and didn’t have to be up for anything, as i opened my eyes i realized i had shifted. i was inside my apartment which was so much more cozy than i had expected. my room had so much decor and ugh i could go on forever about it ANYWAYS.. i had to take a few deep breaths because i knew if i didn’t i would probably just freak out.

btw, the banging was NOT scripted so obviously i expected the worse (a zombie😭) so i grabbed the gun on the kitchen counter as i opened the door, to see it was only leon. (as he lives in the same apartment complex as me) he was telling me how the zombie outbreak was getting worse by the second and we need to find out what’s going on and leave the city and i’m like dude i can’t go i have a lot of work to do for my job (im a journalist for the fbi, and at this time there was a LOT of things to do💀) but he convinces me i need to be safe blah blah blah okay whatever i go with him (but i make leon wait a minute bc no way i was going out in my pajamas…)

so we make our way out of the apartment and surprisingly only see one zombie which i literally shot?? hello that was so crazy to do 😭?? our main mission atp was to get somewhere safe where zombies couldn’t reach us and leon had already made a plan to go to the subway as he had found a map and said he knows the way, and then to the police station.

also, i wanna mention as we were getting to the subway mf nemesis appears?? and i wonder why the hell i didn’t script him out😭😭 we luckily got away but rest assured i scripted him out for my next shift🧍

so as we make our way to the subway, we run into carlos out of nowhere?? so we tell him we’re trying to get out to the subway and he should come with us and he decides to help us because leon got the directions wrong 🤦‍♀️

so me, leon, and carlos, got to the subway and went to raccoon city police department for answers, leon decided to split up from us as he went looking for survivors (dumbass could’ve died) while me and carlos stayed at the police station to search for anything. i had learned a lot about carlos that night and we came close

i had then shifted back because i had school the next day and already so much had happened. soooooo that was my first shift to resident evil if you read this whole thing i love you

i recently came to a realization that a reason why a lot of people haven’t shifted yet is because of old shifttok lies. the one i’m talking about though is the people who say that shifting is personal to you and that not ever method will work for you. i agree shifting is personal because it leads you to self trust and discipline and a personal journey but the idea that not everything works for you is what’s keeping you stuck. the law of assumption always works. so by you believing and affirming that not every method works for you or that you don’t shift on every attempt or that shifting isn’t easy for you. you are simply affirming that to be your reality. unaffirm it. apply the law of assumption to it. and start affirming that shifting is easy for you. that you don’t even have to do a method to shift because it’s so easy that all you have to do is fall asleep thinking about your dr to shift or if you like methods than that all methods work for you or that everything works for you whatever floats your boat but by thinking you have to try a butch of different methods your making it a process and your over complicating it when in fact shifting and manifestion are basically the same thing if not the same thing and all you have to do is affirm it works for you. hell you can affirm sleeping with a certain pillows makes you shift to your dr or that drinking a certain drink makes you shift to your dr and it will work. once you start using the law of assumption with shifting it becomes easier i swear but yeah that’s my ted talk ☺️

“HQ, this is Leon. I don't know where Barry went, but I'm still with the male survivor and we just found his daughter.” “What about the targets? The Umbrella employee and the B.O.W.?” “Still no sign of anyone Umbrella, and the B.O.W. got away from me again. But not sure it matters, we need extracted immediately. Something in the engine blew, this ship is going to start sinking any minute.” “No can do! We can't get a chopper up in this storm. Suggest you look for Barry and hold out until the storm blows over. We'll get a chopper out the minute the sky is clear!” Great. Leon sighs and looks over to Luis, who's still hugging Lucia, telling her everything's okay, believing there's a helicopter on its way to save them. He hates having to be the bearer of bad news. “I did get in touch with HQ, but,” Leon scratches his neck nervously. “We're on our own. They said the storm's too bad to send the helicopter now.” “Okay,” Luis doesn't look as panicked as Leon expected him to. “I'm sure the ship has some kind of sprinkler system, we can go and try to activate it to put some fires out and buy ourselves some time, then look for your partner while we wait for your HQ to rescue us. Sound good?”

Leon and Lucia both nod, though Lucia's nod is slower and she yawns.

“Controls for the sprinklers are probably in that computer room, right? Let's head there, I'll carry Lucia so she can have a break from running.”

So... that all happened.

In an effort not to drown in current events, here's some WIP Wed for You Pay the Cost. This is all extremely rough. And I'm talking extremely here. A lot of this will get changed as I finish out the scene and edit it. I just wanted to share something. Gotta head to work now, but enjoy.

Leon was the last one to go through the door, he ducked under the frame and moved his tail all the way inside before closing the door behind him. He watched Luis set a small backpack down on the couch and begin to go through it.

“You ok?” Ashley asked him. She caught the way he seemed to hover uncomfortably near the door.

“Yeah,” he said, “I’m good.” Neither of them were sure if that was the truth. He stepped a bit further into the room and shrugged his rifle and shotgun off his back. Leon didn’t really know what to do with himself.

Luckily Luis saved him the trouble by turning his attention to him. “Ok,” he started with, “lets give you a quick lookover, Big Guy.”

Leon raised an eyebrow and rubbed his two bottom pedipalps together. “A lookover? For what?”

Luis stepped closer to him and said, “Your product line has a high failure rate, as far as mutations go.”

“Product line?” Leon frowned and stepped back.

Ashley asked, “So you know what he is?”

“Well, now that I’ve seen the full mutation, yes. I had a guess before, but seeing the whole thing in front of me, there’s only one product type it could be. Verdugo.”

“Ver-what now?”

“It means executioner, but I think a more fitting title should have “Guardian” or “Protector” even “Body Guard” would have gotten the product’s purpose through more clearly.” Luis closed the gap between himself and Leon once more. “They were created to be soldiers but Saddler quickly abandoned that idea after learning their abysmal survival rate through production. The research teams shifted focus and fine tuned the serum, more survived but not in the numbers he was looking for. Instead of scrapping the project, it was re-pitched as a line of personal body guards.”

Leon ignored most of that. “So you think I’m going to die?”

Luis shook his head. “Most likely not. You survived the mutation process, but I’d like to double check.” He reached up for Leon’s face and said, “Bend down for me, ok?” When Leon hesitated he added, “It’s best we get this done now, yeah?” Leon relented and Luis reached up to touch the outer jaws. Instantly Leon flinched back away. “Leon,” he said more sternly, “don’t be difficult.”

“I just- is this really necessary?”

“Yes. Now stop being a baby.” This time when he reached for Leon’s mandibles he was less gentle. He pulled him back down and opened them up. “I must remind you, my lab did not work on the Verdugo line, I was primarily a special variant Plaga researcher. However, they made us all sit through the presentations of the other labs, so I know just enough to get you sorted.” Leon kept trying to pull away from his touch, no doubt partly on instinct and partly due to being uncomfortable. And while Luis could sympathize with him, he still needed to check him over. “You mutated quickly and aggressively. The process normally takes a week, sometimes more, and is done in stages, induced with serum injections in increasing doses. Now this,” he manipulated the mandible in his hand, “this isn’t the correct outer jaw that goes with this body plan.”

“Yeah?” Leon wanted to yank it free but he let Luis continue. The other man ran his hand along the inside of it, feeling for something. It was uncomfortable, Leon felt the tip of his tail twitch. “What’s it go to then?”

“Las Plagas,” Luis said bluntly. “I think something interesting happened with you. The Plaga can also cause mutations to the host. The drone types have predictable mutations that follow their life stages. The controller Plaga often have more unique mutations, suited to the individual host. These can be triggered at will or in a life or death situation. Sometimes due to stress as well, or as a trigger from another, stronger Plaga.”

“So you think the Plaga was also trying to make me into a monster?”

“Yes,” he said. “But it got overridden by the Verdugo mutagen. The jaws and extra arms are not from the Verdugo mutagen. If I had to guess, they are from the Plaga.”

“But he’s done now, right?” Ashley asked. “No more changes?”

“Theoretically, yes, but-”

“There’s always a but,” Leon said with an eyeroll.

“But until we get the Plaga out of you, it could try to mutate your Verdugo form. Unlikely, since this is such a strong mutation, but it could happen.” Luis finished feeling around one side of Leon’s jaw and moved to the other. “Are you in any pain? From the mutation? Anything still hurt?” Leon shook his head. Luis finished pushing on Leon’s jaw lining. Nothing felt inflamed or swollen. “You don’t appear to have venom sacs, I don’t know if you’d consider that good news or not.”

“Wait, I could have had venom sacs?”

“Yeah, the Plaga with this face type can sometimes develop a venomous bite. You’d have a gland back here,” Luis reached in again with his hand and pressed just under his ear, where the skin of the outer jaws fused with his human skin. “But I don’t feel anything. It’s possible it’ll develop later.” He turned his attention to the large fangs at the end of each mandible. “I doubt it though, I don’t see a hole in your fangs for the venom to leave through. In any case, if you feel swelling here,” he pressed again, “or here,” and did the same with his other hand, but on his neck this time, under the human jaws, “it might be the gland coming in. It won’t affect the remains of your human jaws, or at least it shouldn’t, and your spit won’t be venomous. But your outer jaws could deliver a toxin strong enough to bring down an elephant. So exercise caution.”

“Great,” he said unenthusiastically. “What about,” Leon almost hesitated to ask, but he knew if he didn’t do so now, he might never get the chance. “What about acid? The ones I’ve come across can vomit acid.”

“Ooooh, that’s a tough one my friend. That organ is internal and I’d have to open you up to see if its in there. Your cousin species, the Novistadores have acid as well, but your species isn’t often engineered with it.” Luis moved away from Leon’s face and began to run his hands along the various plating on his chest. “I wouldn’t worry about, if you develop it, it’ll be because of the Plaga.”

“And the only way to know would be to open me up and check?”

“Yes.” Luis pressed on one of the plates that sat just below where his diaphragm would be. “Does this hurt when you breath in?” He could feel Leon expand his lungs and his ribcage moved under the carapace.

“No.”

“Good, good. Some issues that were reported with this line had to do with lung capacity and the ability to breath uninterrupted by the carapace.” He continued to move his hands down to his stomach. “Have you had any bowel movements?”

“No. Haven’t really had time.”

“You eaten anything recently?” Leon didn’t want to answer. He clamped his jaws to his face and looked at Ashley. “Leon?” When he looked up it was clear that the question had made him uncomfortable.

Ashley said instead, “Remember when I called you? And I said Leon wasn’t acting like himself?” Luis looked to her then back at Leon and nodded. “Well, when he wasn’t… himself,” she settled on, “he had eaten some of the cultists.”

“Oh.” Luis looked again to Leon who wouldn’t meet his eyes. “I see.” The blood around his jaws had been a giveaway, but he thought that maybe he had only used them in self-defense. “While I wouldn’t suggest your diet become comprised of human flesh, I will say that your guts are designed to process raw foods. Vegetables, fruit, and yes, meat. So eating them won’t have any negative consequences on your health.”

“I’m a fucking monster,” Leon said quietly.

Luis dismissed that with, “You were doing what you were designed to do. Protect Ashley no matter the cost.” When Leon looked at him with an eyebrow raised, he said, “It’s pretty obvious that its her you’re being made to protect. I don’t know if Saddler had you imprinted or if you did that all on your own.”

Ashley asked, “Wait, imprinted? Like with baby animals?”

“Perhaps that was the wrong word, “paired” might have been better. You see the Verdugo line, like I said before, was shifted to become a guardian type weapon. The first few iterations were not biologically bound to the one they were supposed to protect.”

“And now they are?” she asked again.

Luis nodded. “We have two ways of doing it, both involve the use of a Plaga. It’s clear that Leon has a Plaga inside him,” he said and turned over Leon’s arm to show off the dark veins that were still visible in the gaps between his carapace. “Sometimes both parties are infected with a custom made set of paired Plaga, this, along with picking a person close to the one needing the protection, insures the best results post mutation. If the client has the money and Saddler decides they’re worthy, the client will receive a custom Controller Type Plaga. Then it doesn’t matter as much which Verdugo is shipped to them, if it carries a normal Plaga the client will have no issues with commands or its loyalty.”

“And Saddler would do that? Just give someone a Controller Plaga?” Leon snorted. “Doesn’t that seem a little dangerous?”

“No, it’s actually a benefit to him as well. You see his end goal is to control the world with Las Plagas. The more people he infects the better, and if these folks are eager to do so willingly…” Luis trailed off. “It’s not a safety concern for him because Saddler’s Plaga is the strongest we’ve seen. He wouldn’t give out something that could usurp him to some random militant group.”

Luis put a hand on Leon’s back and started to lift and check the various plates. “You have a Plaga but Ashley doesn’t,” he was focused on Leon and didn’t catch the way that she froze up, “but you’ve clearly already paired yourself to her. Your body language gives it away, I’m sure you feel it as well?” Leon nodded. “The instincts that come with the mutation are strong. Incredibly strong. New Verdguo if not previously paired will pair themselves with someone eventually. We normally keep them in solitary until a client buys one for that reason alone. The pre-paired ones are obviously made to order.”  Luis continued, “Once the bond is made its made for life. It cannot be paired again. Of course, that doesn’t mean it can’t serve another, but the biological connection? That’s a one and done deal.”

Leon looked at Ashley who was staring back at him. “What does that mean?” he asked. “For me?”

“Well, you might be switching careers friend. Being separated from the one you’re paired with for long distances and durations will cause immense feelings of anxiety and sometimes violence, if you aren’t brought back together.” Luis asked, “Can you bend forward for me? Like you’re going to touch the ground?”

Without giving it much thought Leon leaned forward and dropped his hands to the floor and stretched. “So that’s it? I’m fucked?”

“Oh I wouldn’t go that far friend. You have options. Control over yourself will come with age. Some of our Verdugo on the market have been around for a couple of years now. They settle pretty easily, at least, that’s what I gather from the reports I’ve read.”

“I’m sorry,” Ashley said, “Leon I’m sorry. I didn’t know this would happen.”

“Neither of us did, not your fault.”

“On the bright side,” Luis said, stepping away, “you are built wonderfully. I’ve never seen such an exceptional specimen. Your body seems to have adapted perfectly to the mutagen, nothing is out of place. Full range of motion, carapace that has a bit of give, everything slots perfectly together, honestly, a perfect example of your species. If the Plaga hadn’t don’t a couple of its own mutations you’d be exemplary.”

“Please,” Leon winced, “please stop talking about me like I’m a product.” He stood back up to his full height.

“My apologies, Leon, but you are. Best shore up with that now instead of later.”

Every now and then I wonder what it would be like if the George A Romero had gotten to make the live action Resident Evil movie. I remember finding the script for it online and reading through the whole thing (I actually went and found the original website and it still has it up along with a collection of other scripts). It has been a decade since I read it but there's still bits that stuck perfectly in my head.

Most memorable details were:

Jill was head of Bravo Team and she ends up as their only survivor after the initial attack. She actually outranks Chris.

The screenplay includes everything from the games. Everything. The zombie plant, the giant snake, giant spiders, even the zombie sharks. I doubt they all would have made it to the final cut of the film, if just for budget reason, but it's fun that they did at least consider ways to add everything they could.

Because it's clear that RE1 was the only piece of RE media at the time, some interpretations of the characters are very different to what we'd get in later instalments. For one Wesker wasn't really the Master Manipulator we get in later versions, in fact he came across as quite brash and incompetent. The screenplay also focused less on his sunglasses as his signature identifier and rather a skull themed tattoo.

He also has a very definitive death where he gets speared by the Tyrant multiple times and then gets his head lobbed off. I get the feeling if this movie had been made and that version of Wesker had become the public perception of his character then I doubt they would have brought him back as the series main villain.

Similarly Ada Wong isn't a spy but she's one of the scientists working at Umbrella (all this thanks to her being ""appearance"" in RE1 being a namedrop in some Umbrella emails so you can see how they made this extrapolation for her).

Also Brad Vickers doesn't disappear in the helicopter. He is part of the team that explores the mansion. He also gets shipped with Rebecca, the two have a little romance throughout the movie (I think Rebecca was written to be older, about the same age as everyone else on the team). He eventually he gets bitten by one of the zombie sharks and there is a tearful scene where he sacrifices himself by staying behind realising he'll eventually turn.

There we go. Those are the main things I remember. I will say the screenplay isn't --great, there are bits that often felt hard to tell quite what Romero was going for, but a screenplay is not the finished product of a movie. It's the very first stage of making one. There doubtless would have been revisions and changes if it had actually gone into production, and the final film probably would have ended up very differently. But I still wish they had stuck with this and that this had been the film we got.

The thing about it is it's fun, and cheesy, and really that's all I want from my Resident Evil movies. The biggest problem with the live action RE movie we got is that it's often dull and boring. The games always have a sense of camp, whether unintentionally, but that's all I ever really want, and it's a shame we didn't get that.

Frozen arctic station – virus strike out

Well, let me say, that for last two years (2024-2025) this is my biggest development. So it was here lots of tasks, and I was not prepared for them before. As for example, that with shooter games player moves. To the left and to the right. And it were lots of different tasks. Which I cannot predict. Programming  - it is about solving tasks.

And now I am writing the text story, script. And now with text format. So it is not yet programmed. But part of it – already written. But not everything.  It is already about 100 game scenes. Also including labyrinths. Mainly, now, they are not big. And one is bigger size. So you need there to shoot  at monsters. With a pistol. And collect items and use items. And interact with computers.

Storyline it is also a brave step. I write a big size of a story for me. Big size. Before, I never done this. Well, for last two years. As I start to be more active with development Basic games. So this development- it is a test of my skills.

It is already storyline writing process. And about half it is already done. It is about station in the ice. Science. Scientists find some interesting virus. And dig also under the station. It was already a passage there. Natural cave under the ice. Virus was taken from surface, snow. Virus type 1. And virus type  2 was taken from caves.

They start to learn about virus.  It was very flexible. And it can be inserted into other species. But at the snow it was sleeping. Start do research. Mix it with other virus. It gave new features. Later mix it with mold, mushrooms and waterweeds. Again, new features. Virus grow active and makes a changes.

And so he strikes out! No one expects this! It was damage at the laboratory and the storehouse. They decide to explode underground caves. And station start to be under earthquake. Which is still continues. But already a little, from time to time. And virus strikes out.

And there is here block B. Which by my idea is some reference to first Resident Evil. So there is a room with typewriter and a ribbon. All who played with this game it is familiar. And there are also strange walls. With old style. Well, something like – there it was castle.

But here it is a science station. And so character explore it. And collect information from computers, about what  is going on. Lots of data , collected by scientists. And they already know a lot about virus. So this is base idea about story, that I already write. With a text file for now. But it is not programmed yet.

Basic Pascal version 1.18 "Duckling" – most newest version. In this version there are 4 new games! Puddles at Countryside, Duckling Pseudo 3D, Road to Countryside, Duckling Goes 2D. And even more retro games! It is a pack of retro games with modern versions of Basic and Pascal.

It is now in development new version Basic Pascal pack games. This game will be included in a new version.

Resident Evil 2 Original Uncut Script Claire A Scenario.

So, the Resident Evil 2 Survival Guide contains the mostly complete uncut scripts for the original RE2. Some stuff was out of order, possibly implying that those scenes may have been added later. But this is just a guess.

Everything should be back in order now but you'll probably notices a few differences between this and the final product.

do you know if the redfields are supposed to be native in the remakes? i noticed claire’s necklace in the re2make and couldn’t find anything online about it

In terms of “supposed to be” I don’t think they are, at least, nothing in canon intends to portray them that way, similarly to how nothing in re canon intends to portray Jill as having Japanese heritage despite a single press release that came out nearly 30 years ago.

That said, I do like the concept of the Redfields being native (gd knows this series could use more diversity) and it has the potential for deeper storytelling and themes esp since the (INTENDED) antagonist of this series is racism and eugenics, and even Chris’ and Claire’s story specifically could take on a new meaning with them being native (especially since Chris’ biggest foe is Mr. Ecofascist man).

Not to mention, the idea of the Redfields being native isn’t a new concept either, even if it doesn’t come from the games. In the George A. Romero script for his live action Resident Evil movie (something we unfortunately never got to see), Chris was actually supposed to be part native, specifically of Mohawk descent.

And as seen in the line that brings it up, that specific heritage seems to play into his character and personality. His ancestry means he doesn’t let his confusion show.

This moment as well, I believe, is meant to relate to his native heritage as well:

Not to mention this in the script, while not dialogue or a specific action, still is intentional in the writing

And yeah, the fact that Chris is Native American Mohawk gets brought up throughout the story, actually, it isn’t just a one off mention

And the story mentions his connections to Arklay and Raccoon City as the land he grew up on (especially his farm) and he gets sentimental watching it all get blown up at the end. Honestly I really like the Romero script it would’ve been fun to see on the big screen.

Wrt what you said about Claire, other people have noticed the necklace too. Specifically this Quora post goes more in depth about it and specifically the Mohawk tribe. Although the Mohawk detail is specific to the Romero script, I just found the detail interesting here.

So like, is it canon? No, far from it. Would it be way more interesting if a detail than anything the remakes have given us thus far? Abso-fucking-lutely. It’s an interesting headcanon and could be done really well if put in the right hands. Just not Capcom’s.
