The Transformative Journey of the Bioplastic Packaging Industry
The global bioplastic packaging market size is expected to reach USD 50.57 billion by 2030. The growth of the global plastics packaging industry is likely to be driven by the increasing consumption of plastics in packaging food, beverages, cosmetics, personal care, and consumer goods.

Bioplastics are plastics that are made from renewable sources such as corn, sugarcane, potato, wheat, rice, vegetable oil, or cellulose. There are two types of bioplastics, namely biodegradable plastics and non-biodegradable plastics. Biodegradable plastics include polylactic acid, starch blends, PBAT, and PBS, while non-biodegradable plastics include polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polyamide, and polytrimethylene terephthalate.
Bioplastic packaging is considered to be an environment-friendly solution and helps enhance the final product’s appearance. Growing usage of bioplastics in flexible packaging is expected to fuel market growth. The growing demand for food, due to the rising global population, is a key factor driving the demand for flexible packaging. Moreover, the packaged food industry in the U.S. and Europe has grown tremendously in recent years. Furthermore, increasing concerns regarding toxins in petrochemicals, along with depleting crude oil reserves, are driving the development of bio-based polymers.
Regulations by most governments restricting the consumption of petroleum-based plastics in certain applications such as food packaging and medical devices are expected to further incentivize bioplastic production in the plastics industry. However, the high cost as compared to conventional plastics is a major factor restraining the market growth. Currently, low prices of conventional plastics are making it difficult for bioplastics to achieve competitive pricing.

some concerts Charles Rowland could've attended
Okay this is technically research for a WIP fic of mine but I'm putting too much effort in it to not share, so. Here's a list of concerts that Charles Rowland could have attended based on a few criteria/caveats, including: 1. Dates range from 1984-1989 (yes he would have been 11-12 in 1984 so I tried to keep it to notable concerts only until I hit 1986) 2. Mostly of the Ska subgenre, with other notable punk groups and bands mentioned explicitly by creators of the show/character 3. All in London, GB 4. Non-exhaustive list bc I am but one 21st century american person with limited access to this information at best. If you feel like I've missed anything major, or if you just want to add to this list, feel free to do so by reblogging!!!! Also, many of these concerts have photos, videos, posters, and more online, so I'd recommend looking further into them if that sort of thing interests you :)

completely unenforceable rule is you should only get to make youtube essays on actual random people if you can prove you're treating them with the respect and dignity they deserve, and not a curiosity to be laughed at. acting like you are, but clearly doing so through a patronising lens that views their personality as entertainment, doesn't count.

Renewable energy sources like wind and solar are critical to sustaining our planet, but they come with a big challenge: they don't always generate power when it's needed. To make the most of them, we need efficient and affordable ways to store the energy they produce, so we have power even when the wind isn't blowing or the sun isn't shining. Columbia Engineering material scientists have been focused on developing new kinds of batteries to transform how we store renewable energy. In a new study published September 5 by Nature Communications, the team used K-Na/S batteries that combine inexpensive, readily-found elements -- potassium (K) and sodium (Na), together with sulfur (S) -- to create a low-cost, high-energy solution for long-duration energy storage.

Ngl. Kinda wished that Lockwood and Co was on BBC instead of Netflix. So atleast I wouldn't be this stressed over it being renewed or cancelled 😂 Oh just how relaxed I was watching His Dark Materials while not having to worry about a single thing. & we got 3 perfect seasons of it. That's also another super underrated series that deserves more love. Its another books to screen adaptation. Although I won't exactly recommend it to any Lockwood & Co viewers because they're completely different, pace-wise. But if you don't mind a more slower-paced story, why not give it a go? Will and Lyra is another slowburn ship that I love.
