I want to see and edit to that one song, yk the one, that's like and they both reach for the gun, the gun, the gun, and it's the marauders and Voldemort grabbing at Peter, and the gag is that musical the song is in is supposed to be making a point on false advertisement/propaganda (or smth like that, is what I heard), because neither is actually reaching for the gun, because even among friends and even among the allies he painstakingly built, Peter is painfully unwanted, and neither the marauders nor the Dark Lord is actually reaching for him.

"did sirius black just wink at you?"
no. you're trying to pretend he didn't at least, this is the second time so far this term sirius has winked at you and he smirks at you whenever you accidentally makes eye contact.
sirius black cannot like you, he just can't. he likes loud, confident, thin, conventionally attractive girls, he does not go for girls like you. black dates 'hot' girls like marlene mckinnon, not you.
not a girl like you, soft, cute, round.
black cannot like you, he likes someone who's like him, a gryffindor, popular, likeable, approachable, someone with the same friends. someone who he can walk next to in the corridor as he can sling his arm around their shoulder with zero shame.
that's why sirius black cannot like you. you're not his type and at this point you're getting annoyed with his constant fucking around with you.
you pretend you've never shown much interest in him before. you don't talk to him in class and don't talk to him in general, you pretend to think his jokes are immature and his hair is ridiculous and everyone believes you, apart from the man himself. you scoff and roll your eyes at the snarky remarks made in class towards the teachers although you hide your mouth behind your hand and slightly smile, you bite your lip trying to stop giggling, you pretend you want to support your house and watch all the quidditch matches but the only reason you attend every single game is to watch sirius play.
sirius black is smarter than people believe him to be, he knows that it's all an act that you put up. and he loves it.
he loves the way you turn your head away from the door every time he walks into class late. he loves to hear you stifle your giggling as you see the latest prank he's pulled like snape walking around with bright green hair. he loves the big jumpers you wear when you always pull your sleeves down so they cover your hands. he loves the way your chubby cheeks become more prominent on your face as you're talking carefree to your friends.
"black did not wink at me, he probably doesn't even know my name. i'm not his type."
you're sitting in the courtyard and you're pretending you haven't noticed the marauders. you want to read to get some work done but the library is too cold and your common room is too crowded. you try and focus on your essay but not only are the marauders near you, a couple of your friends are distracting you too.
one of your friends is bending down to your eye level, blocking out the sun while complaining that you're wasting the day, your other friend being just as melodramatic waving their hands about complaining about something you're paying zero attention to.
in the corner of your eye you see james potter laying on the ground fiddling with a golden snitch, which you think is strange because though you go to the gryffindor games to watch sirius you do know that james is a chaser. remus lupin's reading a muggle book and is somehow being able to ignore his mates chattering. peter pettigrew has his hand stuck in a can of something that he's trying to shake out off while sirius is snickering at him.
thinking you've looked at him long enough for it to start becoming suspicious you turn your full attention back to your essay.
"oi, black's looking at you again." your friend shouted to you in a whisper.
"no he's not," you hiss back not looking up.
"yes he is!" came from both of your friends.
"i'm not his type guys," you reply getting exasperated, feeling like you've had this exact conversation so many times by now.
"who says?"
you freeze, knowing that voice, having dreams about that voice. finally you look up from your essay to see sirius smirking from behind you having heard your conversation. your two friends have the biggest grins on their face, i told you so grins.

remus lupin x reader ★ 1.5k words
Luck was almost never on Remus Lupin's side. He was a disgusting, ravenous werewolf for one. His scars were off putting, puffed skin stretching all over his face and body. He wasn't born into a wealthy family, and he wasn't promised a successful future.
But Remus did well in school, he'll give himself that at least. Maybe not top of the class, but enough to feel good about it. And he had the most incredible friends, always supporting him during his 'time of the month', and constantly trying to set him up with girls they thought were his type. They never were.
Finding love was never really his priority anyways, his mind focused on school and keeping his beastly secret. Aside from that, he never believed that someone would be able to fall in love with a poor, ugly half-blood with cycle issues. Unfortunately, the world decided the throw the most perfect girl his way at the start of third year.
"Gryffindor!"
Remus was caught in such a daze from your confidence walking up to the sorting hat and your almost familiar blinding grin once your house was announced that he didn't catch your name at first. He forced his eyes away and straightened his posture as you begun walking towards the red and gold embellished table.
"Who is that?"
"Seriously Moons? That's Y/N, I told you guys she was starting this year."
So why did you have to be his best friend's sister?
You were just like James in the sense that you were unbelievably kind, and the definition of loyal. He's surprised you weren't sorted in Hufflepuff with how hard-working and honest you were. But then again, it made sense for you to be in Gryffindor with your brother, you were one of the bravest people he knew, taking risks and always standing up for yourself and others.
Even though you were his best friend's sister, he really didn't get to see you much when you first started at Hogwarts. Unless you counted his shy glances during study sessions, or tipsy stares over Friday night butterbeers. The two of you didn't have any classes together, because that would mean the world was being good to Remus Lupin.
He doesn't really know when he first started to feel differently about you, but remembers feeling touched when you had begun purchasing his favorite tea. It wasn't just any tea; it was the exact same healing peppermint tea that he would drink around the full moon. How did you even notice that? You would even go as far as to bring it to his room in a warm mug, with a little too much sugar in it. But he would never bring it up to you as you could do no wrong in his eyes.
Fortunately while the other boys were trying to figure out if you knew his secret, he was grinning to himself behind closed maroon curtains. The boys cared about him, obviously. They had even been talking about becoming animagi to help him during his transformations. But to be seen by you, understood on another level that only you knew, caused a herd of hippogriffs to fly around in his stomach.
Finally, the winter holidays arrive and James had invited everyone to your house for Christmas. This was your favorite time of the year; James and your father were decorating the outside of the house while Sirius and yourself took care of the inside. The two of you always liked staying indoors to gossip while inhaling taste testing Euphemia's cooking to make sure it was up to standard.
"What are you hoping to unwrap this year Y/N, Remus perhaps?"
Your eyes widened and you turned to hit the cheeky Gryffindor in the chest, cheeks blazing with embarrassment. "Sirius! My mother is right there!"
He barked out another laugh when he saw your mother's shoulders shaking lightly with her own laughter. Your least favorite Marauder slung an arm around your shoulders and led you back out to the living to finish setting up for your friends.
The party had started the moment Remus and Peter arrived with arms full of presents. The gobstones were pulled out almost immediately, and everyone had a steaming mug of hot chocolate with whipped cream and toppings. Euphemia made sure to put in exactly ten marshmallows in James and yours because if you had one more than him he would undoubtedly throw a fit.
The spiked eggnog and mulled wine came out later in the night, the group sitting in a circle next to the tree to pass presents around. The typical Quidditch gear and gag gifts were opened. Peter had taken out his camera to take a picture of you and James when you had opened your matching red and gold sweaters, "Potter" written in a sparkly font. Your gleeful smiles and infectious laughter were immortalized with a flash of a camera, the photo being displayed on the mantle straight away.
The twinkling lights hung around room reflected in your eyes, a warmth creeping into Remus' chest as he averted his gaze. Luckily all eyes were on Peter as he unwrapped a pair of knitted socks from you, striped with Gryffindor colors and his initials sewed on the side. The tall boy smiled fondly as his friend tried on his gift, with you clapping adorably in response to them fitting perfectly.
With the sun having set hours ago, the Potter house was now littered with scraps of colorful paper, candy wrappers, and board games were strewn about. The Potters and Peter had gone up to their rooms for the night, leaving Remus and Sirius to clean up at living room. Before following your brother and Pete, you walked over to the werewolf and poked his arm to get his attention (as if his attention wasn't always on you anyways).
"Hey Rem, I just wanted to let you know that I left your present in your room, in case you didn't want to open it in front of everyone," you smiled shyly, nodding awkwardly before shuffling towards the stairs, "Merry Christmas."
He wants to blame the mulled wine for his flushed face and racing heart, but he knew that nothing could be as intoxicating as you.
"Y'know Moony, your obsession might be a little less creepy if you just asked Little Potter out."
The wizard chess pieces dropped from the brunette's hands, looking up at his friend who had a shit-eating grin on his face. Remus huffed and quickly put the game pieces back in place, shaking his head. "I'm not obsessed with her, Sirius."
"Oh it's Sirius now! Struck a nerve, have I?"
Sirius had been staying with the Potters for a few years now, and it had become hard not to notice your behavior around his sandy-haired friend. He was no stranger to the way you would fix your hair around Remus, or put on your favorite outfits when you knew he was coming over. Also, you and Sirius had late night gossip sessions after James fell asleep. That was probably it.
"Pads, stop. It's not like that, and she wouldn't even like me back anyways. I'm just like you or Peter, just one of her brother's friends."
"Oh Moony," Sirius sighed dramatically, " Moony, Moony, Moony. You poor, oblivious boy."
Sirius had gone up to his room soon after, leaving Remus in the living room by himself to reflect on his feelings towards you. But how humiliating it would be if he confessed to you and you said no. He could never face you ever again, probably have to stop being friends with James at the very least to avoid any further embarrassment. Alright, he's thinking about this way too much. Remus head upstairs to his room, ready to fall asleep to hopefully dream of a life where you would look at him the way he looked at you.
On top of his pillow sat a small gift box wrapped so beautifully it couldn't have been from anyone else but you. Rough hands pulled away the delicate ribbon you had tied around the box, opening the lid to find a handmade teacup, his name painted carefully on the side. Next to the teacup laid a few bars of his favorite chocolate, a new book, and a bag of his favorite tea. His chest tightened with a new but very obvious feeling.
A knock on the door pulled him out of his daydream, the dark wood opening to reveal your lovely self smiling up at him. His mouth went dry as you stared at him with those big chocolate eyes that made him feel that just for moment you could look past every flaw and see him a man you could be with.
"Y/N-" he cleared his throat when it cracked embarrassingly, a deep blush dusting his scarred cheeks, "Thank you for the gift Y/N, I love it, really." I love you.
You nodded and pointed up the the top of the doorway, Remus lifting his head to see a sparkling spring of mistletoe.
Perhaps Remus Lupin could be lucky.

Scars and Stars
Remus Lupin x reader
SUMMARY: You and your best friends help Remus with his insecurities, his scars, making them easier to love.
MARAUDERS MASTERLIST
a/n: you don't have a defined house, but it's kind of implied that you're in Gryffindor. Marauders friendship >>.
w/c: 1,2k
English is not my first language, sorry for any mistakes.
REMUS looked at himself in the small mirror in his dorm shared with his best friends, he thought he looked disgusting.
Disgusting, disgusting. Looking at him is disgusting. There are so many ugly, horrible scars that pollute his face. But he got used to it a little, never having had a face without his scars.
Somehow, he really doesn't know how, he found a girlfriend, who loves him and who he loves, in some way he doesn't understand. But he can't help but think he's a nuisance, that he's going to hurt her one day. After all, he is a monster, a dangerous monster.
He can even hurt his friends, his family. And those ugly scars all over his body are just proof of that.
And then he is taken from his numb form in front of the mirror, with a soft slam of the door, as James closes it.
"Moony? Are you okay?" James regretted it as soon as the words left his mouth, it's obvious that he's not okay.
"Uhum" Remus shakes his head, tired.
"Moons, do you want me to call [Nickname]?" James asks, worried, then Sirius and Peter enter the dorm and quickly notice the tension, falling silent.
"No" Remus didn't want to bother you, it would be ridiculous for you to stop anything, just for a person like him, a monster.
"Are you sure? I know she would love to come and she certainly doesn't mind" Peter tries again, knowing that Remus needed her. That doesn't mean Remus doesn't need the other Marauders, he does. But right now, he needs all of his best friends.
But Remus didn't want to accept help now.
"I'm sure" he said somewhat aggressively.
"Remus, you know you're beautiful, right?" Sirius spoke for the first time.
But Remus let out a disbelieving chuckle, as if Sirius were joking.
"It's true, moony" Peter smiled, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"It is, moony, you're hot, you know who else thinks that?" James smiled widely, putting his arm around his shoulders.
Remus shook his head, "no one" Sirius raised an eyebrow, standing behind him, who was sitting.
"You're kidding, right? All Hogwarts thinks you're hot, have you ever seen how they look at you?"
"I don't care about them" he only cares about what his friends think, but he cares so much about what you think, and even though you always show and say that you think he's beautiful, he can't believe that that's possible.
You'll probably end up leaving him, and he will not blame you, it will be his fault for sure.
"I'll call [Name], you know you need her too" Peter said, squeezing his shoulder, but waiting for him to consent. To which Remus just shakes his head slightly. So Peter went in search of you.
———★———
YOU folded a blouse, placing it on your dresser, today is your tidying day. It seemed like you had already done so much, but the pile of clothes still waiting to be stored prove otherwise.
You pick up another blouse, starting to fold it, but your work is interrupted by someone knocking on your dorm door. You get up and open it, seeing Lily Evans standing in front of you.
"Lily, hey. How are you?" You smiled at her.
"Hey [Name]! I'm fine and you? Peter asked me to come here and get you, since he can't go up" Lily smiles back, she's such a cutie.
"I'm fine too. Do you know what he wants?"
"He didn't told me, but he seemed in a bit of a hurry."
"Ah, okay then, I'll go there" you smile and head out the door, leaving with Lily.
"Peter, hi" you hug him, “did something happen?”
"Yes, it happened, Remus it's sad again" he whispered, hugging back.
"Get it, is he in your dorm?", as soon as Peter responds "aham" they both went in the direction of the marauders' dorm.
Peter opens the door and lets you in first. You head towards Remus, Sirius and James with Peter behind you.
“Rem, hi” you hug him, giving waves to the other boys, who wave back.
You break the hug and look at him carefully, Remus looks so tired. Then you move to his side, facing away from James, who stands behind you.
"Do you know what I see?" Remus doesn't answer, even though the answer is obvious in his head.
"a horrible monster that can kill anyone in this room because of a simple and stupid moon."
"A brave boy, who deals with his problems, instead of running away" you pass the turn to James.
"A boy who loves his friends more than anything and would do anything for them" James nudges Sirius to speak.
"A boy who is always there when anyone needs"
"A boy who takes on a friend's blame when he needs it, but also corrects him when necessary" Peter spoke last.
"And I think we can all agree that you are perfect in your own way, and that, those scars" touch his face, "just prove how good, brave, kind, important and all the other good adjectives, that you are" Remus eyes glistened with tears, "and if you want to know, they make you, our moony" all the remaining marauders smile, knowing what would come next.
"And everything for our moony" they speak in perfect tune.
Remus lets a tear fall, which makes everyone embrace in a loving and caring group hug.
They stayed like that for a moment, before Sirius had an idea and pulled out of the hug. Sirius then searches his bedside table, pulling out a quill and an inkwell.
"You know, you love the stars," Sirius begins, smiling cutely. "Then you should love your body" you all release Remus and he dips his quill in the inkwell and carefully draws a star on a particularly large scar on Remus' arm.
Remus looked ecstatic, eyes still bright with tears. Sirius hands the quill to James, who draws another star, more clumsy, on another scar, but on his shoulder. Afterwards, James hands it to you, who draws another one, in his hand. Finally, you hand it to Peter, who draws a perfect star on the scar on his collarbone.
Remus lets another tear fall, not taking his eyes off the scars with a small star drawn on them, they looked less ugly now. In fact, they didn't look bad at all. But Remus feels he needs more little stars.
Then, hesitantly, Remus points to the scar that runs across his nose "can you draw one here too? And.. a few more" it was strange to see Remus shy around you all, but it seemed normal at this moment and none of you cared.
"Of course" Peter draws the little star and then gives the quill to Sirius again, who draws another one and hands the feather to you who also draws one.
And so you spend the afternoon, drawing stars on Remus' scars and he really wonders what he did to deserve such friends.
At the end of the day, Remus became the star man, full of drawn stars. And Remus loved the stars, which made him love his scars.
His scars are full of stars and his stars are full of love.

“You know, I am shocked he didn't ask you right then and there.” Marlene laughed and she looked through some of the pamphlets for matching dresses. You and the girls were in the courtyard, wasting time for the most part. Lily had asked for some themes for the dance, but you five flowed so easily with ideas it was done in just a few hours.
“You should have seen his face! He was as red as his robes!” Mary laughed and Lily smiled bright at you as you gave another cheeky look.
“I am done with us dancing around it! He knows I want him, he can do with that whatever he will.” You giggled and Lily gave a scandalized gasp.
“Mother does not endorse these behaviors at her ball!” She joked and Dorcas gasped.
“Wow, in the middle of the ball? I think everyone here thought they would at least get a room.” Dorcas chimed and her humor hit even harder being the first real sentence she said since she got there. Marlene finally giving both their lips a break.
“W-wh-what-” Lily stammered over herself in amusement and you threw your head back. Mary holding onto your shoulder and clenching her stomach.
“I just can't unsee it. I'm sure he was thinking some very similar things. I swear the blood was struggling to stay above the belt.”
“You guys are vile.” Lily scoffed out a laugh, rolling her eyes.
You five dissolved into giggles, trying to calm yourselves but everytime you would glance up and meet one of their eyes, the laughing fit returned. That was, until you heard a familiar voice from behind you. You turned to look, seeing the boy from the library. You tilted your head with a bright amused smile, before you began to calm your giggles. “Hello there.” You gigged out, trying to shush your friends. “Can I help you?”
“I wouldn't say help, more humor.” He chimed and you tilted your head, a bit more interested in what he had to say. “Firstly, I wanted to apologize for yesterday, I don't even believe you have my name.”
“Oh, I know your name.” You mused and put your hand on your cheek. “Amos, right? Amos Diggory,”
“How would I expect anything less for the training Auror?” He chimed and you laughed. He wasn't bad company, easy on the eyes too.
“Do you know all the girls' secrets or are you just this friendly with me?” You hummed and sat upright, he returned your look with a dazzling smile. Okay, very easy on the eyes.
“Was that meant to be a secret? I believe half the great hall heard your declaration.” He mused and you gave a playful gasp. “You cheek!”
“I thought we agreed on friendly?”
“I didn't hear a confirmation nor a denial.”
“Would you have a preference?”
“Honesty.”
“Honesty is subjective, but I will gladly answer, if you do something for me.” The banter flowed easy between you two, you didn't even notice the marauders coming down the exit of the transfiguration classroom.
“Something for you? What would that be?”
“Reconsider me. As a date, I mean. I will wait until the last moment if I have to, but if you and Lupin don't end up going, I’d cancel any plans of the night if you say the word.”
“That's a bold declaration.” You muttered, stunned by the forwardness. It was almost scary how serious he looked.
“I figured waiting for you to notice me isn't working anymore. Lupin may be beating me now, but I know what I want.” His voice trailed off as he looked to his side. The boys had walked over and Remus seemed very displeased you were talking to the Hufflepuff from the other day. He sat down and wrapped his arm around you, pulling you into his side.
“Diggory.”
“Lupin! Nice to see you.” He mused and waved his hand, looking at you with a wink. “Think about it.”
You rolled your eyes with a fond smile as he left before Remus looked you over. “What was that?” He whispered to you. Sirius had made his way over to shove Marlene and look at the catalog with her and Dorcas, James went to ask Lily to the formal for the third time today, while Mary teased her as he did. Peter just sat down beside Mary and tried to make small talk with the shorter girl, always a nervous mess around her, Mary just gave him a patient smile that seemed to fry his brian.
“What was what?” You mused and he huffed, grinding his teeth but trying to seem indifferent. “What you two were talking about.”
“Jealous, Remus?”
“Incredibly so, yes.”
You gave a surprised laugh and pulled away from him to look into his eyes. “Well, there is a simple solution, isn't there?” You asked and he sucked in a sharp breath. As if his mind was cleared up and he realized what he was doing.
His jaw went slack and your playful smile slowly fell. “Remus? Do you want to ask me something?” You asked cautiously and he bit his cheek, pulling his arm away. You gave him a look of utter shock, leaning back forward to try and catch his eyes as he avoided yours. “Remus?”
“I volunteered to help supervise the event. Dumbledore wanted at least three Prefects so I figured..”
“When was this?” You asked after a moment of pause. Trying to pretend you didn't notice your friends listening in to your conversation.
“This morning.” He winced and you gave a watery laugh of disbelief. “Remus John Lupin. You are going to chaperone the dance?”
Remus sighed and looked to the side to avoid your eyes once more. “I don't see what the big deal is.”
“What? Merlin, you- you-” You stammered over yourself and quickly got to your feet. He followed after you, gathering your books and bag, you quickly snatched them away and shook your head at him. “You have some gaul, Remus! ‘Incredibly so’? ‘Incredibly so’? You have no right. If you wanted to reject me, you should have done it properly. Instead of allowing me to make a fool of myself and trying to scare off everyone else.”
He tried to speak but you quickly snapped over him. “If you don't want me to be yours, fine Remus, but you will not stop me from being with others.” You glanced at the entrance of the courtyard, seeing Amos had stopped to listen to you and your show. You took a deep breath and walked past Remus without letting him get a word in.
“Diggory! Wait for me!”
~~
You were woken the next morning by the sun casting down on your face. You had been convinced by Sirius to stay with him that night instead of returning to the Weasley’s. You hoped they didn't check on you, but you had made a habit of sleeping through the day regardless, so Molly probably wouldn't be checking on you for hours.
Where you woke up was so painfully familiar it wasn't hard to guess where you were. The Shrieking shack. Seems Sirius had made a home of it, You spent most of last night talking, explaining what had happened to you and what Dumbledore had done to you. He was furious recalling the night Dumbledore looked him in the eye and allowed him to believe it, that you were gone.
You turned around and were greeted with another familiar sight. Sirius Black, sleeping soundly by your side. A view you hardly had time to truly miss, but now that you had it back, your heart clenched desperately for the days you didn't have it. He looked dirty still, hair greasy and his teeth were almost blackened. You reached out and slowly grabbed his cheeks.
This startled him awake, he gasped and grabbed your forearms harshly. You took a sharp breath, slowly rubbing your thumbs along his hollowed out and carved cheekbones, he seemed to relax. “Vulpes Vulpes.” He whispered out to you, and you pressed your forehead to his. “Padfoot.”
His hands ran down your arms to your sides, pulling you once again, even closer. You leaned forward and focused your eyes on his gray ones. He let out a choked sob and you gathered him close. He had his face in your neck, letting out a small string of begs to the gods that this was real. You ran your fingers through his hair and sniffled as well. He seemed weak, so vulnerable.
Finally, you were able to bring him comfort. Return the favor for those years ago.
~~
The night of the ball had arrived all too soon. You had dressed in a deep forest green dress, one that covered you nicely in loose fabric, and yet seemed to still highlight your best features. You had even let Mary do your makeup.
As you suspected, Lily had caved and ‘allowed James to entertain her’ for the night. You shared knowing looks with the girls at the news but didn't push it. Progress. Marlene and Dorcas went together as well, Mary, to everyone's surprise, was going with Peter. You almost lost some brain cells trying to figure them out, but decided that was best answered by professionals. Though, you have to admit, the looks they gave each other when you first walked down to the common room could make a tree blush. Even the whomping willow felt the tension.
When you made it to the grand hall entrance, you were greeted by Amos Diggory, in a simple black cloak dress suit and a yellow bow tie. He gave a chuckle, “We probably should have coordinated our outfits a bit better, you think?” He mused and you smirked.
“Intimidated by a bit of green, Diggory?”
“Maybe more, the woman in the green.” He chuckled.
You smiled sweetly and the boy led you in.
The night went amazing for the first part. You were dancing it away, Diggory had pulled you to the dance floor every other song when you tried to get away, your friends joking about his keen eye, able to spot you over the crowds. Normally you would find his insistence annoying, but it was quite thrilling. Feeling wanted.
You hadn’t noticed the sets of eyes on you all night. One of which belonged to Remus, as he tried to convince himself you would forgive him for this.Watching over the oceans of people who were having the time of their lives he stood by the teacher’s exit and watched your smile light up the room. This is what he gets. For pushing you away. Everytime he pulled you onto the floor, a little piece of Remus went with you, it was destroying him, watching Amos twirl you around and showing you off like you were his most prized possession. Remus had to stop a dry heave that left him as the music turned slow and you moved closer to him.
“This is quite the night, Amos. I hate to admit it, but you delivered on your promise.” You teased him as you looked up into his eyes.
“Did I now?” He asked with an amused tone. You gave a nod but noticed as his eyes kept drifting right past you. You pouted a bit before you turned to look, seeing a girl decked out in yellow. She was beautiful, with long almost red auburn hair, and bright grey eyes. You knew her, or better, of her. She was a few years older, like Diggory, and when you looked back to his eyes your breath was stolen.
His eyes held so much love for her, a look you had seen only a handful of times. You felt like you were going to pass out just from being around someone with so much devotion. Like he could drop it all right now for her.
You let your head fall to his chest, slowly closing your eyes. “... What's her name?” You whispered.
Diggory looked down at you bewildered, before he noticed your content smile and he shook his head. “Leah. Leah Westerlin.” He whispered before he looked back up at her. “She's my best friend, nothing to worry about for you, darling.” he cooed and you gave a small chuckle.
“You know..”
“Hm?”
“I have been friends with James Potter since nappies.” You mused and looked up at him. He stared at you as you took a small step back. “I have never seen him look at me like that.”
Diggory fell quiet and you shook your head with a fond smile. You fixed his suit and straightened his hair as he looked at you with soft and guilty eyes. “Listen-”
“She's been watching you. All night, you know?” You smirked as his face turned a soft red. “You graduate in a few months, Diggory. Go get her.”
He didn't need much more convincing than that. He muttered a string of apologies with a promise to make tonight up to you somehow. Running off to go meet Leah, and you smiled at the two. You couldn't help but feel happy for them. For her. You made your way off the dance floor as you watched him ask her to dance. She looked around in a slight panic, before her eyes landed on you and you nodded. She gave a bashful look and took his hand.
You took a shaky breath and left before anyone else could see you. Remus watched it all happen, and he was torn. He wanted to follow you, he wanted to comfort and hold you, but something about it seemed cruel to him.
“You should go after her, mate.”
His head snapped up and he looked at Sirius. He had came alone, dancing all night with the guys and gals who also came alone. Remus groaned, threw his nose and shook his head.
“I cant.” He muttered and Sirius gave an offended and horrified look at Remus.
“Remus, fuck your prefect duty, the bird youre sweet on just left crying and youre just going to sit here?”
Remus shook his head and sighed, making Sirius down the last of his drink with a scoff. “Fine.”
He turned and walked past their friends who called out to him, past a few girls trying to get his attention. Straight to the exit, only pausing to grab a water bottle on the way out. He walked down the corridors and paused when he heard soft sniffling from inside one of the classrooms. He pushed the door open and they became so much more clear.
“R-remus?” You whined out, letting yourself be hopeful looking up through your blurry eyes. Sirius sighed, closing the door and walked up to you. He sat down, handing you the water he swi[ed on his way out. “Sorry to disappoint, pretty girl.”
The first time he ever called you that, you were sure you never looked more of a mess then that night.
~~
“You truly think Peter is alive?” You asked in a soft tone. You were sitting up on the old and tarnished bed, your back to the headboard and Sirius nestled close to your chest. He was refusing to move and you had no plans of getting up any time soon.
“I know he is. I saw him.” He declared in a stern tone and you nodded carefully. “And that rat has been sleeping next to Harry this whole time? The same room?” You mumbled in thought and Sirius nodded. You shook your head as you tried to come to terms with what he was telling you. Peter had sold out the potters, taken Voldemort to their home, and Sirius, instead of staying for Harry, left to avenge James and Lily. You truly didn't know if you were allowed to be angry.
“... So what's the plan, Sirius? You plan to kill him?”
“Given the chance, I would.” He mused and your heart broke a bit. He sounded like a man with nothing to lose. You were there, in his arms, and he spoke like he was ready to lose his life all over again.
You were silent for a moment, before you sighed and began to sit up, much to Sirius’s displeasure. “Let's go.” You mumbled.
“What?”
“Let's go find the rat.”
~~
You and Sirius walked the full way back to the school without using the tunnels, you both had returned to your animal forms, and tried to figure out a plan on what to do when you saw him. The sounds of chirps and low growls filled the silence, as you argued.
“We should do this with the least amount of attention. Understand?”
He didn't respond.
“Sirius?” You whispered before you followed his gaze up to the stone hedges at the entrance of Hogwarts. Harry and Ron seemed to be comforting Hermione. You narrowed your eyes and you slowly stalked around a tree, leaving Black for just a moment. You jumped back as the rat bit Ron and he let out a yelp. He must have seen Sirius, you wondered. Cursing as you watched Ron and the two others follow after him. Merlin, why did you think this would be easy?
You signed and turned to Sirius, but he was just a blur in your peripheral. The large mutt dashing off towards the group. You huffed but stayed hidden.
“You do realize what tree that is, Harry?” You heard Hermione shout from her distance. You narrowed your eyes, tail flicking wildly.
“Ron! Run!” Harry yelled at the red head, before you saw Ron shutter and squirm further back. “Hermione! Harry! Run!” He shouted and they both snapped their heads around.
Harry felt the air leave his lungs. The grim.
You, however, were moments away from puncturing him in the head with your jaw. He was scaring the poor kids! This idiot!
What he did next almost made you want to charge him from your hiding spot. He pounced at Ron and dragged him down into the hole that led straight to the Shrieking shack. You rolled your eyes, before your heart stopped. Harry and Hermione, the smart one, charged forward to try and grab Ron's hand. It was too late, and the sound that left the two small kids as the Willow smacked them back hard made you wince.
You looked around before you cursed and charged in. Harry watched you with a breathless look, jumping and charging towards the tree. You slammed your entire frame into a wart on the side to paralyze the tree, before scurrying down the hole. It only took Harry a moment to recover before running after her. Hermione muttered something about stupidity before she came after. Just being missed by a branch as the Willow stilled.
When Harry made it down, he was stunned by the view. You, standing between Ron and the door. You were snarling at something, and when he entered, wand raised, his question was answered. “Harry! No! It's a trap!” Ron sobbed out and pointed to the door. “He's an Animagus!”
Harry turned fully and watched as Sirius closed the door. Seemingly having a one sided conversation with the familiar fox. “What was I supposed to do!? He was right there!”
You yiped out and snapped your jaws like you were reprimanding a child and Sirius threw his hands up, threw his hair before he let out a crazed laugh. “It comes so easy for you! You havent been waiting twelve years for this!”
You chorted at that, tail still lashing side to side. Sirius looked at the kids and Hermione pulled Harry behind herself. You couldn't help but stare at them. Yeah.. She was just like Lily.
“If you want to kill Harry, you’ll have to get through us!” She declared fearlessly, and you winced as Sirius gave the most ominous fucking response.
“Only one will die tonight.”
“Then it will be you!” Harry yelled and charged with his wand. You winced and internally apologized to Harry, before launching forward and biting down on his wrist. Not too hard but enough to startle him. He stumbled back and shook you off his wrist, you jumped back and your body went rigid when you heard an all too familiar voice boom by the door.
“Expelliarmus!” Lupin shouted and Harry’s wand was shot from his hand. Lupin gestured with his wand and Harry hurried off. Lupin was focused on Sirius, it gave you the chance to slip over to the kids and use your body to block them in. Your eyes were now locked on Scrabbers. He gave a desperate squeak and tried to squirm. Yes, that was him. Ron looked like he was about to pass out, and Harry was far more confused and hurt. Looking between his professor and who he assumed to be his guardian angel just a few hours ago. He had learned that crossing a fox was supposed to help him make choices in his life, and was supposed to help him make better decisions down the line. He knew Divination was absolute rubbish.
“I thought you were my friend.” Harry huffed at you and you almost flinched to look at him. It's okay, Harry. You wanted to tell him. It's okay, you'll see.
Lupin pointed his want as Sirius and he tutted. “Well well well, Sirius. Finally, the flesh reflects the madness within.”
“You’d know all about the madness within, wouldn't you, Remus?” He taunted. You then turned to glance at the two, watching as Sirius was lifted to his feet by Lupin and they both hugged. You gave a bark at them and Lupin turned to face you.
“Ah yes, how could I ever forget my favorite of the furry bunch?” He remarked before Harry gasped. “She's yours?”
“She's mine.” Sirius snapped back before he looked at Lupin. “He's here, he's right here, let's kill him!” He begged.
“No one will be dying tonight! We trusted you, Lupin! You’ve been working with him this whole time!? He's a Werewolf!” She announced and you winced a bit at the declaration.
“That’s why he has been missing classes!” Hermione declared and your head snapped to hers.
“Well well well, Ms. Granger, you truly are the brightest witch of your age-”
His speech was interrupted as you transformed back. Everyone's eyes seemed to snap to you, Lupin gave a shift of several expressions, but he did his best to keep it hidden.
“Boys! The both of you!” You snapped at the two and Harry’s jaw went slack.
“{Y/N} {L/N}, you haven't aged a day.” Remus breathed and you scoffed. “And it seems in 12 years neither of you have grown a clue! Your excitement overlooks your task at hand!”
You turned back to look at the kids. Ron was horrified, Hermione stood in front of the boys, and Harry felt his jaw drop as he began to piece things together. You smiled proudly at Harry as his eyes snapped over to yours then the boys behind you. “You know, don't you, Harry?”
“You’re Vix. You're my-”
“Can we get on with it!?” Sirius boomed and you scoffed, furious your moment with your godson was interrupted. “You wish to do this? Do this right! You will explain to the kids what is happening before they lose their minds!”You shouted back and he huffed.
“I know why this is happening-” Harry began and you shook your head at him.
“You couldn't possibly. Harry, hear them out.” You looked into his eyes, and despite it all, he was overwhelmed with this rush of pure comfort and safety. He shut his mouth and carefully nodded.
“Years ago, someone betrayed your parents. We all assumed it to be Black, but the true culprit had been playing dead!” Lupin bellowed and you sighed.
“Who?” Harry asked and Sirius raised his voice. “Peter Pettigrew! And he's in this room! Right now!”
“What?” Hermione mumbled and she slowly looked to Ron, then to the rat in his hands. Her eyes widened. “No-”
“Remus wasn't exaggerating, you truly are the smartest witch of your age.” You whispered to Hermione as you noticed the look of realization on her face. “Scabbers-” She began before Ron’s cracking voice interrupted. “What!?”
“Scabbers, his true name is Peter.” You mused and Lupin shushed Sirius as he had his episode.
“Let me see him, Ron. If we are wrong, no harm will come to him.” You promised and Ron looked at Hermione and Harry. Harry had his eyes on you, but the girl nodded to Ron.
Before the trade of hands could happen, the door slammed open. “Expelliarmus!” Severus shouted as he stormed in. Wand pointed at Sirius and he had that devilish twist to his voice.
“Severus..” Lupin tried to step closer but when the wand turned to him, he quickly backed down.
“I told Dumbledore you were helping an old friend into the castle and he didn’t believe me.” Snapped snapped. Sirius hissed. “Well done, Snape, you have once again put your keen mind to the task and come to the wrong conclusion. Now if you’ll excuse us, Remus and I-”
“Give me a reason, I beg of you.”
“Severus, don't be a fool.” Remus tried to interrupt and Sirius wasn't helping.
“He can't help it, it's habit.”
Snape put his wand to his neck and you stepped forward. “Reason for what, Severus?” You finally called out to him and the boys looked at you. You hand your wand in your palm, pointed directly at him.
The three kids behind you fell silent, Harry wondering why you were calling him with such a familiar tone.
Snape almost lost his nerve when he saw you again. He was reminded, as if the memories forcibly played in his mind, of the only two times he's ever begged for anything. The night you told him you could never see him as a friend again, his sleeve rolled up forcefully by you, holding his wrist until it was almost bruised and berating him. You haven't spoken to him in years and this is how he greeted you, With the dark lord's mark, just begging for a reaction. Something to tell him you still cared. And the night he thought he lost it all. Begging Dumbledore to save his two friends who wanted nothing to do with him any longer.
He was thrown off at first, before he slowly pressed his wand deeper into Sirius’s neck and watched you flinch. “I always warned you these boys would make you rotten, {Y/N}.”
“You would know all about going rotten, wouldn't you, Snape?” You hissed and glanced down at his wrist and it made him flinch. “I don't think I have ever known you to be anything but.”
He turned his attention to Sirius and you took the chance. “Depulso!” You shouted and Snape was flung across the room. Sirius dropped his shoulders and Lupin looked at you with a brief bewildered look. You turned back to the kids who looked just as stunned as Lupin, you held out your hand, “J-Just don't hurt him.”
The second Peter was about to switch hands, he tried to bolt. The boys began to send spells his way. Before you could even think about shifting to go after him, Peter was hit hard with the spell. You took a shaky breath as you prepared to face your old friend.
Remus grabbed him up by the collar of his shirt and practically tossed him across the room. You took a deep breath and you walked over to them. All three of you had your wands on him, and Peter was shuttering. “Remus, Sirius, {Y/N} my old friends!”
Remus stood in front of him when he tried to run, the second he glanced at Harry you focused your wand on him with new vigor. “Don't even think about him, you slimy rotten core.”
Peter and you held a moment of eye contact before he dashed around the piano. Sirius and Lupin boxed him in, and you watched from the otherside, hands trembling on your wand. Peter must have sensed your apprehension.
“You sold Lily and James out to Voldemort, didnt you?!” Remus demanded and you scoffed as Peter looked down at his hands. “I-I was furious! Don't you understand? Furious th-that they had gotten you killed. I thought you were dead! I had gone mental!”
“Gone mental!? Mental enough to kill the people you thought I died to protect!? They were our friends, Peter!” You shouted across the room and Remus gave you a cautious look.
“Yes! I thought I had lost all I had! You understand that, yeah?” He tried to appease you and you looked at him with nothing but disgust.”You understand me, don't you {Y/N{? The feeling of wanting to hurt someone as you have been? That's what you told me, yeah? When Sirius BROKE YOUR HEART!” he gave a manic laugh before he quickly stopped and you flinched. He's gone insane.
“How dare you say that about me! I am nothing like you!” You hissed and Peter flinched.
“What did you want me to do, {Y/N}? I had nothing left! He would have killed me!”
“You die!” Sirius bellowed. “You die for your friends and you savor the last moments of your life knowing you saved another!”
“James and Lily were nothing to you!?” You snapped after and Peter lowered himself down in a crouch. “After everything we had done for them! Every fight, every mission, you were by my side threw it all, Peter! We fought for them! We should have DIED for them! You swore to me you would die for us!”
“You really shouldn't call Lily and James nothing infront of {Y/N} {L/N} and Sirius Black of all people.” Lupin scoffed and Peter’s expression suddenly turned dark.
“Oh yes,” Peter would sneer. “Oh how great the bastard of Black was to James. And how important to {Y/N} that mudblood was-” He would click his tongue, changing from cowarding to pure anger,
Hermione gasped and Harry stepped forward but you held out your hand to tell him to stop., Sirius turns to try and charge Peter but he shuffles around to yell at you all. “Oh, I would never be Jame’s favorite, and I knew it! I knew he would never look at me as more than a pawn! But, you, sweet {Y/N}, you saw me! You saw the true me and you cared for me, didn't you?” He begged. “I was never Lily, never Lupin, but I was your Peter, remember?”
You shook your head hard, frowning deep at his crazed look. “I… I never knew Peter Pettigrew.” Peter's face fell and you turned your back to him.
“Be rid of him already!”

Me and My Husband-Chapter 1
Summary + series masterlist
Main masterlist // marauders era masterlist
This is a slow burn wolfstar x reader/arranged marriage au
Word count : 2,724
The Marauders had all piled up into a carriage of the Hogwarts Express, sweets and lollies littering the seats and floor as they talked all about their break from school. Sirius had of course spent most of his break with the Potters once again before having to go back home before the start of their new school year. "We went to this muggle movie theatre and it was amazing, I've never been to one before" Sirius was currently spouting out about all the things he had done with James, not having a chance to do those kinds of things in his own home. "It was quite fun until we almost got kicked out because Padfoot here wouldn't shut up!" James spoke up with a humorous tone. "Well enough about that, how did your guys break go?" Sirius asked the other two boys after giving James a slight shove. Remus spoke up first "I went to visit my grandparents, they live out in the countryside, so it was nice to have some peace and quiet finally" Peter timidly spoke, a hint of concern in his voice. "Did you handle the full moons alright?" Remus gave a slight nod "it's a pretty secluded area, plus lots of room to run around" He gave Peter a smile to ease up any concern he had for the young Werewolf.
The rest of the trip was filled with mindless talk about more stuff that happened during their break, what kind of pranks they were planning this year and of course relationships. Sirius seemed to stiffen as soon as the topic had been brought up. Peter droned on about his new hufflepuff girlfriend he had gotten at the end of last year before asking the others if they had any crushes or anything. "Well I can't say I have one yet, but who knows this year I might get lucky" James said with a huge dorky grin on his face. After being rejected by Lily Evans far too many times the boy had decided it was best to move on, and now without the constant attempts to gain her affection they had become close friends. Sirius hadn't contributed much to the conversation though, in fact he hadn't spoken a word since Peter had brought the topic up. Although James and Peter didn't notice, the two boys continued with meaningless conversation. Remus on the other hand had noticed how Sirius was unusually quiet, his stormy eyes didn't look away from the window he was leaning against until the scarred hand of the tall boy touched his knee gently "you alright padfoot?" Remus's soft voice had always been pleasant to his ears. Sirius gave a small nod and faked a smile, though Remus could always tell when someone was faking a smile he just always knew, tilting his head as his eyebrows furrowed, clearly not believing what he had said. It scared Sirius just how much of an open book he seemed to Remus, though he guessed everyone felt that way about the tall boy. He knew Remus knew he was lying, he leant down towards him "I'm here if you need anything Sirius" giving him a soft smile, everything about Remus Lupin was soft, his hair, his voice, his warm skin and even the sweaters he always wore. Thankfully though he didn't press on, just leaving his large warm hand on Sirius's knee.
The train ride had come to an end soon after that, the four rowdy boys rushing off the train. All laughing like madmen at some stupid joke James had said. "Let's get to hogwarts quickly I'm starved" Sirius said with an over dramatic and drawn out sigh, James slung his arm around him as a laugh was drawn out from him "yeah because you totally didn't have enough from the trolley" Sirius elbowed him in the side, although that did nothing to discourage James. "Yeah padfoot you would've brought her whole stock if Moony hadn't stopped you" Peters jab had James cracking up all over again. Even Remus let out a small laugh, though Sirius just huffed "you're all the worst" shaking his head at his three friends. "Yeah but you'd be lost without us" James stated, ruffling up the hair of his best friend. As they continued walking Sirius caught sight of the one person he dreaded seeing around the school other than his younger brother, Y/n l/n, or as he referred to her since their last meeting during their break, the absolute bane of his existence. The sight of the expensive jewellery she wore on her hand made his thoughts bubble with anger, she was just as pompous and up herself as ever. He quickly dismissed the thoughts of her, not wanting to think more of it.
The four friends eventually found their way to the great hall, watching on as new 1st years were getting sorted. The boys were certainly the loudest when new students were sorted into Gryffindor. After the sorting and the same speech Dumbledore gave every year the feast had begun, everyone digging in and talking loudly with the people around them. Once the boys had finished eating they rushed to their dorm room, already excited to start planning out pranks for their last year. They all fell asleep quicker then they had initially planned on, the adrenalin wearing off as they started to crash out, barely out of their clothes or under their covers. Remus fell asleep sitting at his desk, his head leaning against his sweater he was using as a makeshift pillow. James was sitting upright, leant against the headboard of his bed, Sirius had crashed out at the end of James bed, his legs dangling off the edge of the bed. And Peter had fallen asleep on his own bed, though lying on top of the covers in nothing but sweat pants he had changed into.
They woke up later than usual, all stiff and sore from the uncomfortable positions they slept in, except for Peter, he was just cold. They all got dressed and decided to go down to the courtyard, they had the entire weekend to settle back in before 7th year classes started. Which they were all eternally grateful for. The Marauders made their way outside, laughing and joking around as usual. Finding somewhere nice to sit they picked back up their conversation from last night. "So this year everything needs to be bigger and better boys" James announced, clapping his hands together "I was thinking that prank we did last year on Snivellus, when we turned his uniform bright pink for the whole day, was pretty good but we could definitely top that". As soon as he finished the four boys all had that same classic Marauders look on their faces that screamed they were up to no good and to steer clear. Sirius shot up "how about we make it rainbow and glitter" Peter laughed and added on "yeah we could even add frills this time" that sent the boys into a crazed fit of laughter all except Remus. It wasn't that he was against the idea, it was more that he had something else in mind "or we could turn his uniform into the girl's one" despite his voice not being as loud as the others, their laughter had completely stopped. Wide devious smiles quickly covered the shocked looks they gave him "Merlin Remus you're a bloody genius!" James shouted, as he ruffled his hair up in approval.
They continued talking about how they'd pull it off when James noticed none other than Lily Evans walking through the courtyard "hey Lily!" James shouted out without a second thought. Lily's head shot up and she smiled at the boys walking over with one of her friends she had been talking to. "Hello boys, I hope the break treated you all well" the boys responded with simple answers of head nods and even a thumbs up from Remus. Sirius had finally noticed who Lily just so happened to drag along with her, of course it just had to be her, Y/n. "Mind if we sit with you guys?" Lily asked, her tone as sweet as always. Sirius would have denied her, almost saying how they were planning some 'Marauders' stuff. But of course James beat him to it "of course not, go for it ladies" he smiled at the two girls as they sat down. Sirius was angry at this, not at James for letting her sit with them, but at Y/n for thinking she could just sit near him so casually.
Sirius couldn't help the hateful glare as he watched the girl in front of him, seemingly avoiding conversation with the rest of the Marauders. All he could focus on was the girl he deemed to be the bane of his existence talking away with Lily, the two only met because of Lily's best friend Severus due to the two being in Slytherin. His stormy eyes held a gaze with the glittering gem on her left ring finger, acting as a constant and cruel reminder of his unwanted fate. Remus of course had noticed, he always did when Sirius's mood suddenly changed. The Werewolf leant down to whisper into said boys ear "You know if you keep brooding at her you're going to burn holes into the back of her head" he let out a soft huff of amusement as the boy looked back over at him, an incredulous look on his face "I'm not brooding, I just don't like her" Remus had that look on his face, the kind of look that said yeah that's totally it. The boy shook his head leaving the over dramatic boy to continue his not brooding session.
Y/n knew Sirius was glaring, she could feel his eyes on her as soon as she sat down with Lily. She tried to ignore it, instead choosing to focus on her conversation with said girl about their breaks, the muggle born witch always asked about the balls and events Y/n went to. Neither minded talking about it, Lily got an inside view of what rich and exclusive Pure Blood gatherings were like and Y/n was able to boast about the overly expensive dresses and jewellery she wore to each event and how pretty she felt in them. She was able to ignore the glaring eyes that seemed almost harsh enough to feel in her skull, until Lily had pointed it out "you know Sirius has been staring at you this entire time" the Slytherin didn't spare a glance at the mentioned boy "I'm well aware, he's been doing that a lot lately, I have no idea why" she let out a scoff at the end of her sentence. As much as she liked to talk about every little detail that happened during her break to Lily. The one thing she just so happened to leave out was the meeting between both her family and the Blacks. When Y/n's left hand combed through her hair brushing it back giving Sirius a perfect view of the beautiful ring he had come to hate, and of course he had taken it as a personal insult, as if she was flaunting the expensive jewel on her finger to dig the knife deeper into him. And that kind of insult wasn't something he had taken very lightly as something seemed to snap inside him, the black haired boy stood up abruptly walking over to the two girls "may I have a word with you l/n" his stormy grey eyes filled with hatred and disgust met the dull and harsh eyes of the girl he stared down, awaiting an answer from her. "With all due respect Black I'm currently busy" despite the two seeming to hate each other's guts, they always still acted formal with each other, years of being raised by pure blood families leaving its mark on the two teens."Yes well it's a very urgent matter Y/n" at the use of her first name she sighed and stood from her seat next to Lily, Sirius had only ever seemed to use her first name when he was beyond angry at her "i'll be back soon Lily" the girl just smiled and nodded joining the conversation with the rest of the marauders as Sirius dragged her away. Remus noticed the tight grip his friend had on the girl's wrist, he felt a tinge of worry creeping up on him, though he seemed to be the only one who noticed, not even Lily had noticed how Sirius pulled away the girl she was just talking to a second ago. Remus knew he was overly perceptive sometimes to his own detriment, so he softly interrupted the group's chatter with the excuse of going to the bathroom. Only to follow the two teens who had just left, stopping just before turning the corner peeking over slightly to see the people he was looking for.
Sirius had cornered Y/n against the wall, not wanting to let her leave until he spoke to her "do you seriously have to wear that stupid ring everywhere" he scoffed down at her, disgust clear in his voice. The Slytherin rolled her eyes at the boy "my parents wanted me to, it's not like I could say no to them, you know what will happen if Regulus finds out you're not wearing yours, do you really want your parents to find out" it was now Sirius's turn to roll his eyes "that doesn't mean you have to flaunt it around and keep reminding me of it" the girls face morphed from slightly irritated to furious "Excuse me! You think I'm flaunting it, as if I ever wanted this, as if I like this any more than you do!" Her voice kept rising in octaves as she yelled at the boy in front of her. "All I'm saying is you seem far too comfortable wearing that to be too upset about it" he leaned down into her face, it was clear to Y/n he was trying to intimidate her, there was a pause of silence before a loud slap rang out in the empty corridor they had found themselves in. Sirius's hand shooting up to hold his now reddening and sore face "you prick! Stop speaking to me like that, as if you know anything about me, it's like you think it's my life's dream to be betrothed and bear children to some moronic teenage boy I hate, simply to uphold our stupid pure-blood lineage!" Sirius was too stunned to speak, he didn't know if it was because of the slap, the angry words the usually quiet girl had yelled at him, or the tears that were now violently streaming down her face. Y/n turned away from him, face red and hot from her anger and tears, in doing so she had locked eyes with none other than Remus Lupin who was standing at the end of the corridor in shock only slightly out of view, both their eyes widening as their eyes locked. Y/n letting out a shocked gasp had alerted Sirius, whose head shot over to look at Remus, the tall Werewolf looking between the two, a slight bit of fear etched on his face at being caught. He looked down "sorry, I didn't mean to overhear anything, I was just worried about you" he didn't say who exactly he was talking about, eyes locking onto the floor. Though Remus himself didn't know who he was talking about either, only looking up when he heard the sudden movement of feet, watching as Y/n shoved Sirius away from her. Finally being freed from against the wall, she took off in the other direction, unable to contain her violent sobbing. Remus looked awkwardly at Sirius as he slowly made his way over, the taller boy staying still in his spot "you can't tell the others about this, can you promise me that Moony?" Remus seemed shocked, while he looked at Sirius. He seemed so vulnerable and scared, almost weak even as a few tears leaked down his face "I- I promise… I won't tell anyone anything" he gently put his hand on Sirius's shoulder. Said boy leaned into the touch of his friend, he sniffled slight before speaking "thank you Remus"

Previous Chapter, Part 3, Next Chapter
Over the next few weeks you committed to showing up to lessons more often, you spent time with the Weasley's but you avoided getting into trouble. People started noticing the sudden change in your behaviour and dedication to your studies, Percy was very proud of your change in attitude and believed his talk with you helped you get there, you let him believe it but really it was all profesor Lupins doing. Unfortunately his class was the one you got the worst grades in, it was okay when you didn't attend and got bad grades but even with attendance they didn't grow it was your weakest subject.
Your evening smokes continued some days Lupin was there some he wasn't but he was there often some days he wouldn't smoke he would just be there to talk with you, your conversations turned deeper than they used to be as you got to know each other and you looked forward to them, you saw him as someone you truly connected with, yes the girly attraction was still there but what girl didn't find him attractive he had girls flirting with him constantly. It did make you feel uncomfortable watching the girls put bright lipstick on before entering his class and staying behind to ask him questions or for extra lessons, but he seemed to not mind and act profesional giving the girls extra lessons and paying no attention to their advances.
You had DADA last on Fridays which normally would've meant a lot of people not paying attention and aching to leave but profesor Lupin kept the class entertaining and engaging. It was a practical lesson, the ones your dread because with lack of practice you genuinely sucked at practical lessons. But you got through it and you were excited for the weekend to start, before you left the class Lupin asked you to stay behind. So you said bye to Percy and a few others telling them you'll join them later, you weren't worried that you'll get told off like with most teachers when they ask you to stay behind it was Lupin so you patiently waited for the last few girls to say "bye profesor" while walking out and then went over to his desk where he had sat down.
"What's up?" You asked as you approached his desk.
"Please, sit down Y/N." He said quite formally gesturing to the seat in front of him, now you were getting worried. "I'd like to speak with you about your grades." He paused and saw your face drop before continuing. "Now please don't think of this as a telling off, your attendance is better this year than any year before and I've heard great things from your other teachers about the progress you've been doing." He said but you still looked worried so he added. "You should be very proud of yourself Y/N." Which made you relax into the chair a bit more. "Nevertheless, I am worried about your grades in my subject as you're doing well in the theory side however it's using the spells in practice that you seem to struggle with. I know you've had a few hard years with the rotation of teacher, some worse than others, so it's not your fault you are in this position." He said all of this formally. "Although notoriously skipping classes for the last sexi years probably didn't help." He said with a small laugh as a friend rather than a teacher. "I want to help you, I've been speaking with your head of house about how we can improve your grades and we believe you need extra lessons, practical magic like this can't be learnt through studying alone in your dorm you need real practice. So I'm happy to offer you tutoring twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, to help you catch up." You sat silent still. "You don't have to do this, but profesor McGonagall and I do believe it is in your best interest." He added you just looked down embarrassed that you skipping classes has lead to this. "Okay Y/N I'm dying here please say something." He said casually addressing your silence.
"Thank you profesor." You said.
"How do you feel about my suggestion?" He asked.
"Embarrassed." You stated. "How so?" He asked I'm a caring tone. "I wouldn't be in this situation if I listened to everyone when they told me not to skip so many lessons."
"You're not the only student who will be receiving extra lessons, I have a small group of girls that have asked for extra time that I teach on Tuesdays. If you want you can join them so it's not just one-on-one if that's more comfortable for you?" He offered.
"But I'm the only one who actually needs tutoring. They only asked for it because they have a crush on you." You blurted out in your annoyance.
"Trust me crush or not some of those girls need extra lessons. Still after weeks of receiving them." He said honestly. "They're too busy staring at your lips to learn I guess." You said laughing to yourself, he gave you a gentle smile. "Y/N, you're a quick learner. You know the theory, with a little practice you'll be caught up by Christmas."
"Okay. As long as these lessons are done by 9pm." You said with a hint of humour.
"I would never let education get in the way of your nicotine addiction, I'm not a monster." He replied jokingly. "We have a deal." You say.
"Perfect, now enjoy your weekend." He said and you took that as a queue to leave. "And Y/N, don't let this overshadow all the effort you've been putting into your studies, you're doing amazing." He said whole heartedly.
"Thank you professor." You said leaving the classroom. You looked him as a teacher so if you needed anyone to give you extra lessons you were glad it was him.
You went straight to the great hall for dinner after your conversation with Lupin, Fred and George had a space saved for you next to them. "What took you so long?" Fred asked.
"Lupin is making me take extra lessons." You said solemn.
"Bullshit, you've been studying harder than ever." Fred expressed. "I know but I'm still behind, plus it's only two days a week and he said it'll only be until Christmas." You explained.
"I think it's a conspiracy." George stated. "Now why's that?" You ask amused. "They're obviously trying to keep you away from us so we don't pull any pranks." He expresses. "This has old minnie all over it." Fred adds sniffing the air comedically.
"Now that you mention it..." you say looking over at the teachers table watching Lupin and McGonagall speaking. "...Lupin did mention this being her idea."
"See! Merlin, Y/N we need to pull a prank now." George states. "Show them we can't be stopped so easily." Fred adds. "I don't know guys, I've been enjoying not sitting in detention."
"George, she's getting all soft." Fred states. "Now that's not okay." George replies and they both have a cheeky smile before they stand up and suddenly pick you up while you protest taking you out the great hall while you laugh and tell them to stop, you hadn't even had time to eat before the kidnapping and the whole school watched this happen but the boys didn't care. They carried you straight to the dorm room plopping you down on the sofa. "Y/N it's time to plan our first big prank of the year." George begins. "Perfect timing as well as we can go to Hogsmeade over the weekend to get any supplies we need." You laugh and agree to the plotting, you plan a prank. It was to happen in the library, the plan was to hex every book, the books about animals would bite you, the books about history would disintegrate in your hands, the books about plants would be filled with soil and so on. You would obviously need to take all the real books and hide them but that wasn't a problem using the marauders map. You were looking at the map when you noticed Lupin was already standing on the bridge, you checked your watch and it was after 9pm already, he was just standing there you felt like you were missing out on seeing him plus you were scared he'd think you're ignoring him after your conversation earlier. "Boys I need to go, it was a pleasure scheming with you as always. I'll see you tomorrow." And with that you took the map, put it in your pocket and headed for the bridge. When you were around the corner you saw Lupin walking down the corridor in your direction, he must've finished smoking you thought. "Good evening professor." You said with a smile and me looked up at you with a grin. "Evening, Y/N. Evening stroll?" He questioned as if to ask why you didn't go to the bridge tonight.
"Just going to destress." You said showing him your pack of cigarettes.
"I forgot mine in my office I was just going to go get them." He explained, odd because he had been standing on the bridge for a while you think to yourself.
"You can borrow one of mine." You state.
"I'll give you two tomorrow." He replies turning around to walk with you. "I hope I wasn't too harsh on you today." He says as you walk after a moment of silence.
"You weren't harsh at all." You say with a hint of confusion.
"I didn't think you would come here today in all honesty, after the way you looked at me after class and during dinner." He said with a soft smile but you could tell there was some hurt behind there. "How did I look at you?" You ask.
"Differently." He simply stated, maybe because usually you look with admiration and a bit of lust while now you were looking at him like at a teacher for the first time.
"Well you are about to ruin two evenings a week for me by making me study." You remark.
"Is that how you see spending time with me? Am I ruining your evening right now?" He teased.
"You know what I mean, this Lupin isn't the same as profesor Lupin." You say adding emphasis to professor.
"I am the same person Y/N. If you're afraid that I'm going to be making you write essays and do homework you're mistaken, I promise I'll make the evenings fun." He says in his teacher tone. Maybe it was the mischievous energy from planning a prank that allowed you to say what followed maybe it was purely forgetting he's not your friend but you replied with. "Fun evenings? What does that mean?" You watched him swallow getting a bit uncomfortable and not knowing how to answer. "I mean don't treat it like a punishment. I'm just trying to help." Your brain went straight to replying with something inappropriate about getting punished but you held your tongue as you didn't want to push it too far.
"I hope you don't think I hate you, I really enjoy our talks." You say. I really only came here to talk to you, I feel like smoking on a empty stomach will make me feel worse." You we're over sharing now but he didn't seem to mind.
"I watched you get carried out by the Weasley twins before dinner, the whole school did." Lupin remarked unamused making your face go red.
"Yeah they were messing around and wanted to go talk as they said I've been too busy with lessons this year."
"They sound like a bad influence," He said sternly before pausing and thinking. " keep them around sometimes you need friends like that." He added.
"Profesor you're great at encouraging bad behaviour." You say laughing.
"Friendships like that are sometimes very important, if only you knew what I got up to when I was your age." He said with a soft reminding smile.
"And what would that be?"
"I can't say, I'm your teacher after all." He added a wink at the end which you didn't know the meaning of, but all you did know was you wouldn't find out anything more about his past.

Hello <33 could you write Remus Lupin x Black reader?
Here is the idea... reader is sirius' younger sister she is in love with remus, but she thinks remus would never feel the same way because she is younger and sirius's litte sister. Then sirius figure it out about reader's crush on remus and he helps her to get remus attention.
Hope this is ok 💓 thanks dearest 💓
Hiii lovely, thank you so much for this request. I'm soooo sorry that it took me so long. Hope u enjoy. Warnings: use of y/n, kiss, swear words (1.3k)
Being Sirius's younger sister is already hard as it is. Everybody always recognises you as that, you've had girls befriending you just to get close to him and so on. But one thing that is even worse about it, is that you are absolutely invisible to his best friends. Specifically only one, Remus.
You've been hopelessly in love with him, but you know, there's just no way he likes you back. You are sure about it, because everytime you enter the room, he dissappears or stops talking. He barely exchanges a few sentences with you.
To Remus's defence, he can't help it. He needs to leave to room, because he knows if he stays, he'll be in a bigger trouble than he already is. He has a big crush on you and he doesn't want Sirius or James or you to know, so being in your proximity is definitely not the answer.
And when he is close to you, he doesn't want to say anything stupid to you, so he just talks less. It's honestly driving him crazy.
It's driving you crazy, too. So that's exactly why, you are now complaining about it to your best friend in the Gryffindor's common room.
"Why are boys so complicated?" you whine into her shoulder.
"Wish I knew, but sweetie, I think that you may be wrong about him," she rubs your shoulder, trying to cheer you up.
"What do you mean?" you frown at her.
"Okay, so don't kill me, but I'm like 95 percent sure, Remus likes you," she tells you and your eyes widen at her statement.
"What?"
"I wasn't sure at first, but I am now. I've caught him multiple times, staring lovesick at you," your mouth opens to argue, but she gets ahead of you, "It's true, I mean it. I can tell the difference between his regular staring and his 'I'm in love with y/n' staring. He definitely like you back. "
"Then why does he always ignore me or dissappears when I am near, huh?" you scoff, you can't believe, Remus likes you, there's like zero possibility that's true.
"I don't know, maybe...-maybe he's just shy..." She tries to figure it out, but she can't really explain it, too. You don't talk much after that and head to your room to sleep.
Big mistake you two did, was that you didn't check if anybody was near the common room, because it was already very late. But to your 'luck' Sirius heard the whole conversation.
Sirius starts to pay more attention to Remus whenever you are near and to his surprise, your friend was right. Remus definitely fucking likes you, it's so painfully obvious that he doesn't get how he hasn't noticed it before. Like the loving eyes or the bashful smiles, it actually makes Sirius sick as he thinks of it.
He also pays attention to you, he already knows you like Remus from the eavesdropping, but it's different seeing the truth for himself. You are obvious with your crush too, but Sirius sees how sad you are, that your feelings aren't reciprocated.
Which is why, he decides (despite you being his younger sister and Remus being his best friend) to get you two fuckers together.
His plan is simple. He'll lock you to in a room and won't let you out until you'll confess your feelings.
So that's what he does, he even let's James on the plan. James is supposed to lure Remus in, while Sirius has to lure you in. It's pretty easy to get you there, all it takes is one innocent lie about needing help with something and you two idiots are there.
You are inside first and in a matter of seconds Remus is by your side aswell.
"What-" you don't get to finish the sentence because the door gets shut and it's just you and him there. You can hear both boys chuckle as you start pounding on the door.
"Sirius, if you don't open the door, I'll beat you up-" you angrily shout.
"Guys, just open the door, this isn't funny," Remus says, still keeping a cool mind. Suddenly, their chuckles stop, you expect them to open the door, but nothing happens. They are definitely gone.
You try the 'alohomora' spell, but of course it doesn't work, you should have expected that.
You suddenly turn around towards Remus, " what's this all about, huh?"
"What?" he asks baffled, " i-...trust me, I don't know anything about this."
"How can't you know? You three are literally like one, there's no way you don't know anything. You have to know what's this prank about," you accuse him.
"I swear, I don't know anything," he puts his palms up, showing you he really doesn't know.
"Oh c'mon...," you say frustrated, " you must have heard at least something."
He tries to think of something, but he doesn't remember anything worth mentioning, " They didn't really mention you, I only remember that Sirius was talking to James about how he was eavesdropping on a conversation with you and your best friend some nights ago."
Your face goes white and Remus immediately notices the change in your expression.
"What's wrong?" he questions, " does it have to do something with this?"
You clear your throat," umm...- no, it-it was just silly girl talk that's all." You lie and clearly, it's so bad, that nobody on this earth would believe your lie even if they tried hard.
"Oh come on, you can tell me, maybe we can get out of here then-"
"No, really. It was just some stupid conversation, nothing worth mentioning...." you say, eyes fixated on the ground.
"It can't be stupid, if we are here because of it, right?"
"It's just-..." you can't say it, you just can't. It's already embarrassing enough that you are in love with your brother's best friend, but admitting it to him is way, way worse.
"What is it, y/n? You know you can tell me anything," he softly smiles at you.
"I-I-I...." you stutter, you want to say some excuse, but nothing comes to your mind. And it takes you one look at his stupidly tender smile to tell him the truth.
"Ilikeyou,"you blurt out, but it's so quiet that he doesn't catch it.
"What was that?" He asks, eyebrows raised.
"I said,..-" you take a deep breath," that-that I like you."
"What?" he sputters, "y-you like me?" Remus doesn't catch on.
"Yes, like more than a friend," you almost wince as you confess it. You watch, how his expressions change every few seconds with emotions. It honestly terrifies you. You'd rather have him laugh in your face, than to watch this slow reaction.
Suddenly, his face breaks out into the biggest grin you've ever seen on him, " you like me?" he breaths out in disbelief.
You nod, giving him a hesitant smile. And in matter of seconds, he is kissing you. Remus's kiss is, oh so soft, that it has you melting. But before you can even respond, he is pulling away. "I'm sorry. I shouldn-" He doesn't finish, because your lips are on his, shutting him up.
It's a sweet kiss, that's got you smiling giddily at each other, when you pull apart.
"Does this mean you like me, too?"
"Obviously, " he says in a 'duh' tone, but then adds softly," I've been head over heels for you since like forever."
"Why haven't you said something before?"
"Well, I didn't exactly want your brother to beat my ass," you both chuckle at that.
"What makes you think I won't now?" His voice startles you both and as you turn around to look at him, you see him with a smile, not a drop of anger in his eyes ."I'm happy for you, but no lovey shit in front of me, got it?"
"Yes, Siri " you agree and with a smirk, you lean in to kiss Remus again, who happily oblidges and kisses you back. You only hear a fake gagging sound then and Sirius's quick steps to get away from you two with "what have i done" muttered under his breath.

Severus as a vampire hcs
Credit to @intotheswollenriver for inspiring me
I personally would feel like it would be a Dhampir situation for Severus. His mother is a vampire, and his father is obviously human
The Prince family would've been one of the few vampire families still existing, and they would've originated from Romania
Severus would not be as powerful as a normal full blooded vampire, but since he is also a wizard, he would still be considered powerful
Eileen fed him blood when he was younger, but Severus didn't know.
Severus wouldn't know he was a vampire until either before he got his Hogwarts letter or after
As he grew up, his normal human scent changed into a scent similar to death, and his fangs started coming in slowly
Lily would NOT know he was a vampire or, in this case, half vampire.
Severus (I feel) would've hated drinking blood from both animals and humans when he was younger (you can't tell me he wasn't sensitive about that) but he went for animal blood since it somewhat satisfied him
Severus would've had a suspicion about Remus much earlier due to his scent of wet dog, which separated him from every other witch and wizard around them
Similar to Wolfsbane, he would've made himself a potion of his own creation to become a blood substitute to satisfy his cravings. He makes enough to last him years (he's prepared)
His powers/abilities other than magic, potions, and alchemy would include enhanced strength, speed, heightened senses, and maybe even compulsion
Normally, Severus would have control, and he would be able to retract his fangs and hide any of his vampire features.
When his hunger gets too much, his eyes will turn dark blood red to light blood red, his fangs will show, he'll become fidgety, his senses will kick in overdrive, and he'll become overwhelmed. It will also become very difficult for him to stop from ripping everyone around him apart, but he manages to make it.
When he goes into a frenzy, it will take minutes up to a few hours to calm down and gather himself. He also makes sure to isolate himself very deep into the forbidden forest with lots of animal prey and no human scent in his sight or in his vicinity
He goes into the forbidden forest, not just for ingredients for his potions but to also hunt and to "set the beast free" along with train and control his vampire abilities
After the 'prank', Remus found out about Severus's vampire side, and Severus made sure that Lupin wouldn't breathe a word of his secret to anyone, especially his friends or else he will take Lupin down with him
I want to believe he can also turn into a bat (i will leave that to you all to decide)
He hates the sunlight or sunny days (no. It can't kill him. It just annoys him and gives him headaches)
Prefers cloudy days
Dumbledore obviously knows
Severus self-taught himself control from a very young age since there wasn't anyone to help teach him
Similar to Rosalie from Twilight, he won't drink the blood from bad people. He will probably see it as tainted or bad.
He saw himself as a monster for a very long time, and he still does to this day
He ages more slowly than normal people due to his vampire blood
His appearance will be normal. Pale skin, skinny, black eyes, black hair, and roman nose. But his vampire blood will sharpen his features and some of his bone structure, build him a little muscle but nothing too noticeable, paler than usual, his hair will have something more to it than normal (idk what, tho), and his gaze and presence will also have an unspoken power to it
Voldemort, along with many of the death eaters, doesn't know about him being a Dhampir
The only people who truly know about his vampire side are Lucius, Narcissa, Regulus, Remus, and Dumbledore (Regulus figured it out by himself)
Lucius and Narcissa both have given Severus their permission to feed off them if needed
Remus is very frightened of Severus, but he feels some sense of common ground with Severus because he's not the only dark creature he knows of anymore.
Severus (much to his deep regret) granted Remus access to Severus's hunting grounds in the forbidden forest, so Lupin can "wolf out" every full moon without endangering lives.
Severus has cast many protection and glamor spells on the hunting grounds, so that way no one other than himself and Lupin had access to the hunting grounds and no one outside can enter the area
Vampire blood can heal wounds and is often used in healing potions
Severus is immune to garlic and crosses, but pure silver stings him a little bit but not fatally
He can eat normal food
Has tasted werewolf blood before, but it tasted unappealing and disgusting like acid
Has tasted human blood on more than one occasion, but it's like sugar to him. Very addicting and difficult to control, but he manages through it

Hiiii!!
Can I get a friends to lovers scenario with some of the Harry Potter boys (particularly George Weasley and Remus Lupin if you do those two characters ❤️❤️)? Any specifics will do, I’m just a sucker for the trope. Please and Thank you!!!
George Weasley - Friends to Lovers Trope HCs
I know you guys are looking for probably actual writing but right now making bulleted headcanons are just so much easier on me and my melting brain, so for now, take this semi detailed scenario hcs about being friends to lovers with George :))
I'm so sorry I'm advance!! these really are just me rambling about how I think it would go,,, I hope y'all enjoy,,
I promise I'll actually write something better for this soon
•So friends to lovers with the one and only George Weasley. Honestly I see this trope as like,,, you're just best friends with him and he's the one to fall first. And believe me, he falls HARD.
•This man doesn't fall easily for people. At least, not like this. Sure he's had a few fling crushes here and there that he might have hyper fixated on a tiny bit just because he craves the attention. HOWEVER - once he realizes he's falling for his best friend? He's a mess.
•One day he was just listening to you talk to him, Fred, Lee and Angelina and all of a sudden when you laughed about something stupid he said? It made him feel different. It pulled at his heartstrings in the most beautiful way that he was almost sure he imagined it because you never stirred up this reaction out of him before?? So he was very confused.
•No doubt he tried to brush it off but as time went on in the span of the 30 minutes you and everyone else was chatting in the Commons, it dawned on him.
•O h. I'm gaining feelings for my best friend.
•Insert him excusing himself to go do… something else. Probably go try to work on WWW inventions or something. He just needed to take a quick breather and distraction. Everyone thought it was normal but Fred could sense something was off with his twin. So he followed after him? He went to their dorm to see George kind of flustered and freaking out and asked what was wrong.
•Naturally, George is great with words /sar so what ended up coming out of his mouth? Complete gibberish. Fred normally could understand his brother's incessant ramblings but not this time.
•"Woah Georgie, slow down. I can't understand you when you're spilling your words all over the floor like this." He normally would have tried to make light of the situation and he still does. Thankfully, George was able to actually get out what he was trying to say.
•"I think - I think I might be falling for them!"
•Que Fred laughing. Also que George punching him in the arm while yelling "BLOODY HELL FRED THIS ISN'T FUNNY!!!"
•Oh but it is. He knew his brother was rather soft when it came to the mushy feelings of romance, but he didn't think he was this bad.
•So naturally Fred has to talk him through processing these feelings (not that he could really handle his own feelings if he ever liked someone like his twin is currently)
•They're both horrible with their feelings. Despite having a big family, I don't think Molly really was there to help them process their own feelings due to having their younger siblings to take care of. And you know Arthur was always working so it was quite literally just the two of them. Not that they don't appreciate their family but c'mon now.
•ANYWAYS I'm getting off track here. George eventually figures out his feelings and yes, its very apparent he feels something for you.
•So he and Fred try to plan accordingly about how to bring it up to you. But you're so… you. George doesn't want to mess whatever you guys have up.
•I will say however that you've noticed him acting a bit different. So the plan the twins had goes out the window once you confront and ask George about his behavior in the next coming weeks.
•He cracks, because he just can't lie to you! Not when you're looking at him like that. So he ends up spilling a confession of which almost gets missed by how hesitant and quiet he gets.
•Thankfully your ears work (unlike mine lmao) and you take his confession in pride. You tell him you appreciate it (which he swears he's about to be rejected just because of those words alone-) but then you tell him that you'd be willing to try. Because recently you had started to see him in a different light.
•He's ecstatic tbh and SO relieved. Like when I tell you he let out the biggest sigh of relief? I MEAN IT.
•This is how your relationship with him starts. Yeah it's a little messy, but not in a bad way! George has next to no idea what he's doing because he REALLY does care for you and he doesn't want to let you down or hurt you.
•Just be patient with him, okay? I promise he makes it all worth it <33

To Begin Again
PART TWO
Summary: You're a new teacher at a large and influential school. It's a risky step for you, as you've been running from your ex for almost two years. But when Dumbledore asks you to take on a class at the renowned Hogwarts, you can't refuse. However, your life as a newly arrived teacher won't be easy. Especially when the other teachers don't seem eager to make friends. Or rather, two teachers in particular: Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.
Author's Note: Welcome, dear readers. Please leave your comments if you enjoy fanfiction. This fanfic takes place almost in the real world (with the addition of werewolves) and is not a wizarding fanfic. There will be some differences and changes in things from the Harry Potter story or other fanfics in the HP universe, but I promise to do my best writing this fanfic. Dear readers, I'm back. With a significant time jump, Harry, Draco, and others who were once children are now teenagers, almost adults. More mature themes will be portrayed in this fanfic. Come and see how Y/N navigates her new life as a maternal figure for Draco while trying to help Sirius and Harry move forward with their lives. Enjoy the read.
FINAL CHAPTER CHAPTER TWENTY
Four years later, you are arriving home with groceries, preparing to make Draco's favorite lasagna; he should be coming home soon. He just got his driver's license. As you approach your house, you spot a brown-haired boy with glasses, not believing that it could be who you think it is.
"Harry Potter, what the hell are you doing here?" you exclaim. Despite what you say, you're not angry, but rather pleasantly surprised. You quickly go over to hug Harry. He immediately embraces you, trying to help you keep from dropping the grocery bags.
"Extreme times call for extreme measures. That and bringing you personally the invitation to your wedding," Harry says, his voice sounding deeper. He's grown up so quickly. But you're concerned about the tone of his voice.
"Why are we in extreme times, and who is getting married? I hope it’s not you. If you want, you can stay with us. You don't have to get married; in fact, I encourage you to run away from any marriage," you say, reassuring him that he can find a home and refuge if needed. For heaven's sake, what have Lupin and Black been letting this boy do? Now that he's so close to you, you notice that he seems tired and thinner.
"Sirius was arrested, and I didn't want to disturb Lupin. In fact, Lupin is the one getting married. And it won’t be to Sirius; he's marrying his new girlfriend, Nymphadora Tonks. Lupin asked me to mail the invitation, but since my godfather got into trouble, I thought I’d come in person. It was quite a trip, and I’ll tell you all about it on the way back to Hogwarts. What do you think?" Harry looks at you with a pleading expression, as if he’s feeling lost without you. You’re left confused by the many pieces of information.
"Step-mom, you won’t believe what happened. Professor Lewis dared to give me a bad grade on that video we made dancing to 'Wannabe.' He said it wasn’t artistic enough," Draco says, still not noticing Harry. "What the hell are you doing here, Potter?" Malfoy exclaims, surprised to see Harry for the first time in four years. Harry looks a bit uneasy, while Draco appears angry.
"Hey, Malfoy. I know you're angry with me. Your last message made that pretty clear, but this is bigger than both of us. I need you and Miss Y/L/N to go back to Hogwarts," Harry says, almost sounding guilty about something, which makes you wonder if he and Draco have some unresolved emotional issues going on.
"I don't know what you think you're doing here, but leave. We're not going with you, not even to the corner. Stepmother, I'll wait for you inside," Draco says, all pompous, as if he's too proud to show how glad he is to see Potter. Malfoy goes into the house, and you look at Potter with a lot of compassion.
"Dear, let's go inside. I'll make lasagna. Fortunately, Draco and I will be on vacation for the next few weeks. I'll help you with Sirius and try to give you a chance to improve your situation with Malfoy. Now, let's go in," you say, seeing Harry beam with happiness at your words. It seems that after four years, it's time to return to Hogwarts.
"For what reason are Potter's problems going to make us change our vacation plans? We were supposed to go to Ibiza," Draco grumbles as he and Harry set the table. You’re focused on preparing dinner, determined not to burn anything. Last time Draco's complaints distracted you, you burned a perfectly good homemade pizza. You’re not about to make that same mistake again.
"I’m not thrilled about spending time with you either, Draco. But Miss Y/L/N knows I’m lost without her. If you're so eager to avoid me, stay here and learn to live on your own. It might do you wonders to stop thinking only about yourself and consider others for a change," Harry retorts while setting the plates on the table with a certain aggressiveness. You listen to everything like a piece of furniture, silently, without interfering in their issues.
"Oh, get real, Potter. My stepmother has no obligation to save you from the mediocre life your godfather stuck you with. In my last letter, I told you to move on with your life and stop following Sirius like a little puppy, and you replied that I wouldn't know what it's like to love someone enough to never give up on them, even if I tried. And now you dare come to my house, trying to take my guardian with you and ruin my vacation—drinks, insane shows in Ibiza, the whole lot. You selfish idiot." Draco retorts, raising his voice while carefully placing the cutlery and glasses on the table. Therapy has worked wonders for him—he's learned to use his mind, not his fists.
"I said I don't need you coming with us, Malfoy. If you want to go to the beach—which, as far as I know, you hated the idea of—then go. Is it so hard for you to see that this has nothing to do with you? Or with whatever happened between us?" Harry says, placing the jug of lemonade on the table, while Draco sets down the salad bowl. They glare at each other, as if ready to hurt one another with just a glance.
"It’s clear that you both have a lot to catch up on. But as the adult here, I think I need to make something explicit," you say, taking the lasagna out of the oven and carefully placing it on the table with oven mitts. "Harry, not only will I help you with Sirius, but if I see he’s being negligent, I will request legal custody of you. Draco, it’s not and never will be optional for you to come with me and Potter. Stop grumbling and accept the inevitable. And also, dinner is ready." There’s a heavy silence from both young men as they sit down to eat the salad and lasagna.
"I don’t want to abandon my godfather. If I can ask you for anything, it’s to help him be for me what you seem to be for Draco," Harry says, his voice low and almost tearful as he finishes a piece of lasagna. You look at him with understanding, imagining that Sirius must be the only one right now making him feel part of a family. However, Draco lets out a somewhat disrespectful laugh, and you shoot him a disapproving glance.
"Sorry, stepmother, but it’s just too funny that he wants to make demands when his life is falling apart. He should be grateful to be under your protection. None of his beloved parents' friends can give him the affection he needs, so he comes here begging you to rescue him and turn that drunk Sirius into a functional adult. It makes me laugh," Draco says, looking directly at Harry. There’s something distinct about the way they interact now; instead of fighting each other, they’re arguing by using each other’s feelings.
"I never should have told you in those damn letters about my situation with Sirius, you jerk. Want to gloat about having a better guardian than mine? Go ahead. That doesn’t make you any less empty inside. And it makes sense for her to be your guardian and show you what love is, because that’s certainly something you know nothing about," Harry says, standing up and placing both hands on the table to assert some dominance. Draco looks at him as if he’s actually enjoying Potter’s boldness, which undoubtedly hit a nerve. Without saying much, he stands up from the table, maintaining eye contact with Potter.
"I hope my stepmother can fix your loser godfather as soon as possible, so I never have to look at your face again," Draco says, looking firmly at Harry as he steps away from the table. He then looks at you. "Stepmother, I'm going to pack my suitcase for our trip; have a good night," Draco tells you, and you gently nod your head, allowing him to go to his room.
"You two still know how to get under each other's skin. Harry, I believe you and Draco need more time to reconnect, but don't be cruel to him, and don't take his harsh words too seriously. You’re both still young. Now, let me show you the guest room. Draco won’t admit it, but he insisted we have this room ready just in case you ever came to visit. While you and Draco rest, I’ll handle the details so that we can leave for Hogwarts by tomorrow," you say calmly, fully aware that both Harry and Draco are shaken by their reunion. Gently, you run your fingers through Harry’s hair, ruffling it softly. He then hugged you tightly, as if he had missed you. You embrace him in return, feeling a weight lift from your shoulders. At last, you can help the boy whose life was shattered by your father.
"Thank you, Miss Y/L/N, I knew I could count on you," Harry murmurs softly, snuggling into your arms. "You’re safe now, Harry," you reassure him. Then, you lead him to the guest room, offering him one of Draco's pajamas and a few items he can use. After making sure he’s settled, you leave to take care of the necessary arrangements for your trip. First, you buy the tickets, then contact your lawyer to check on Sirius's situation, determined to secure his release. Once you've handled some more details, you return to the dining room to clear the table, only to find that Harry has already taken care of it, loading the dishes into the washer. Draco would never have done that.
It's not easy to fall asleep knowing that the next day you'll return to a place where so many traumatic memories occurred. Yet, somehow, knowing that Harry and Draco are safe brings you a sense of peace, making you feel as though nothing bad can harm you. The next morning, you rise early to wake Draco and Harry, urging them to have breakfast and get ready for the journey ahead.
"Potter isn't going dressed in those rags he came in, is he?" Draco remarks as he sits across from Harry at the table, eating the pancakes you've made and drinking his orange juice. Harry, who is having toast with eggs and bacon, pauses to glare at Malfoy, clearly irritated by the comment.
"First of all, you should worry more about your own clothes than mine. Your pajamas are so tight, I felt like I was suffocating. And how do you even move in that outfit? You’d be more comfortable wrapped in bubble wrap." Harry responds, showing Draco how the pajamas cling to his body. In fact, the pajamas didn’t even fit properly—there are tears along the sleeves, and part of his stomach is exposed. Draco studies Harry for a moment, and you could swear he gave a slight smirk, not out of amusement but for some other reason. Or maybe it's just your imagination.
"Draco, see if any of your clothes are in a bigger size than those pajamas and give them to Harry to wear. Harry, I apologize for the silly way my little one speaks. Both of you, once you finish breakfast, get ready so we can leave," you say as you rise, finishing your coffee and heading off to get dressed, leaving the two of them to finish their breakfast together.
So, you climbed the stairs to your bedroom on the second floor of the house. After a few hours, you and the boys had already arrived at Hogwarts, reaching there by early evening. Your lawyer had informed you over the phone that he had successfully secured Sirius's release. He warned you that Sirius would now be under your care and that he would still need to appear in court for a hearing next week. You agreed to take responsibility for Black, just in time to hear the lawyer mention that Sirius had been asking about you. The scoundrel had found out that you were coming and that you were the one who paid for both his lawyer and his bail. The boys slept through most of the trip after they finally stopped bickering with one another.
"Potter, you don't need to carry my suitcase. Stepmother, tell him that just because he has muscular arms and a toned body doesn't mean he has to carry my luggage." Draco says, wrestling with Harry over his own suitcase. You are only a few steps away from what used to be the Malfoy manor, now renovated to be just Draco's house, and therefore yours as well. Harry bursts into laughter when Draco nearly trips in the tug-of-war over the suitcase.
"I want you to know that this was just me being polite. Nothing to do with my toned body. But thanks for the compliment, by the way." Harry grins as he releases Draco's suitcase, leaving him stumbling from the sudden shift. "Miss Y/L/N, I'll carry your bag. That ungrateful guy can deal with his own heavy luggage." Harry smiles and takes your suitcase from your hands, carrying it for you.
“I don’t know about you two, but I need a good bath,” you say, feeling the weight of the day. “I think we can order some pizza, maybe watch a movie together. Harry, don’t worry, I arranged for someone to bring over some clothes in your size. No more borrowing from Draco. And each of you will have your own room, with your own bathroom. Yes, Draco’s family was that wealthy, Harry. But now’s not the time for financial discussions.” You hold only your purse, watching as Draco and Harry walk side by side, carrying the suitcases. Before either of them can respond, the three of you are startled to find Sirius Black standing right in front of the former Malfoy mansion, waiting.
“If it isn’t the happy little family. Didn’t think I’d show up here, did you?” Sirius says in a cynical, almost malicious tone. The boys, who had just moments ago seemed to be getting along, now tense up immediately. You meet Sirius’s gaze with a hint of anger, feeling the shift in the air. Without saying a word, you pull the house key from your bag and hand it to Harry, keeping your eyes fixed on Sirius.
“Harry and Draco, I want you both to go inside the house. Don’t worry, Sirius and I will have a little chat, and we’ll join you shortly. But for now, I need you to go,” you say in a serious tone, watching the boys closely. Draco hesitates, clearly wanting to speak, and so does Harry.
“Stepmother, we’re not children anymore. We can stay here and defend you from this bearded troglodyte; you don’t have to face him alone,” Draco says, gently holding your arm but struggling with his suitcase. Harry steps in, helping Draco with the suitcase and turning to you. “We’ll be inside,” he murmurs, sounding slightly downcast. He likely understands that you and Sirius need to have a serious conversation. Practically dragging Draco and the suitcases, Harry manages to open the door and enter the house with Malfoy. Sirius, for his part, tried to make eye contact with Harry, but it didn’t happen.
"Turned my godson against me, have you? Is this how you make your triumphant return here?" Sirius sneers as he descends the steps towards you. You stand your ground, unwavering.
“As if I needed to turn him against you. You’re doing a fine job of being a terrible guardian all on your own, my dear. And I suggest you watch your tone when speaking to me. Remember, I got you out of prison and ensured your godson was taken care of. I’m not asking for your gratitude, knowing you’re too ill-mannered for that,” you retort, stepping even closer, locking eyes with him, your anger clearly visible. Sirius stops in his tracks, taken aback by your boldness but still unwilling to back down.
"As if everything you do isn't just to atone for your father’s sins. Playing house with Draco, taking care of Harry, getting me out of prison—it’s all just to ease your guilt," Sirius says, crossing his arms defensively. For a moment, it feels like the years have melted away, and you're right back to that same exhausting argument. Four years, and he’s still stuck on this. Deep down, you pity him. His inability to move forward, to let go of the past, is stifling him—and those around him. You stare at him, a mix of frustration and sorrow flickering in your eyes, realizing that while so much has changed, his bitterness hasn't.
"You won’t hurt me by digging up my old guilt. It'll take more than trying to wound me with my father’s mistakes. And to be clear, my intentions are none of your concern. What is your concern is that I’m filing for full custody of Harry. You’ve proven yourself unfit to care for him. A boy who needed a father figure has become your caretaker. As of now, I am his temporary guardian. And if you want to remain in his life, you’ll need to improve," you say, your tone calm but firm, watching as Sirius's expression shifts. You can practically feel him unraveling, though he tries to keep it together. He paces, frantic and restless, his frustration and disbelief bubbling to the surface. For what feels like several long minutes, he doesn’t say a word, just stalks back and forth, unable to process the reality of your words.
“What do you want? Damn it!” Sirius yells, his impatience spilling over as he glares at you. You meet his gaze with disapproval, taking a deep breath before responding.
"I want you to be a good man for Harry. Someone he can look up to. I did my research on what’s been happening in your life. You lost Lupin, drowned yourself in alcohol, even gambling. You were fired from Hogwarts. You’ve been arrested more than once this year, for God’s sake. You assaulted someone in a bar, got caught driving drunk. You’re lost, Black. I know things have been hard for you, but you need to get it together. For Harry.” You hold his gaze, even as he shifts uncomfortably, unable to meet your eyes. Shame is creeping in, and it's clear he knows that what you’re saying is true, even if he can’t admit it.
"I'll do whatever it takes to make you drop this ridiculous idea of taking my godson from me. But don’t think for a minute that means I want anything to do with you again, or that I’m going to play along with your fantasy of a normal family with Draco and Harry,” Sirius says, his tone dead serious. You can’t help but laugh—loud and heartily—as if it’s the best joke you’ve heard in years.
“Excuse me, but you must think you're the best man in the world. Honestly, I’d be more interested in having a relationship with a fine bottle of wine than with you. Now that we've cleared that up, let’s go inside before you say anything else ridiculous.” You give Sirius a light pat on the shoulder, then turn toward the house. He follows after a brief moment of hesitation, his expression sour, like someone who’s been forced to eat something distasteful.

Alcove
Jegulus/Black Brothers microfic
Hurt/comfort
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
"You know it won't be pretty if we tell him....for either of us..." Regulus lightly held his boyfriend's fingers, not wanting to meet his eyes.
James nodded a little. "And we'll handle it. He can't separate us....I love you too much." "James, I won't be what causes a rift between you two. I won't do it."
James eyes soften. "As if I could truly pick between you two. You're both stuck with me." A small smile graced his lips. "And if he has an issue, we will deal with it. I don't want to hide my love for you, reg..." James held regulus' cheek, placing a small kiss on his lips.
Regulus cheeks grew warm, his mouth twitching into a smile. Salazar, he wanted to believe James so badly. He wanted to trust his optimism. "I don't want to hide you either."
"Then it's settled." James hopped up and started walking, pulling regulus with him. "What are we doing??" "Telling him now." James smiled. "Now? As in right now?" "Well, the longer we wait the worse it'll be." James spoke as if he wasn't worried at all, it almost made regulus' anxiety wash away. Almost.
They made their way to the gryffindor common room, regulus holding onto James arm for comfort. His heart doing back flips, mind overwhelmed. Anything could happen. Hell, sirius could set the castle on fire for all he knew. His brother was nothing if not unpredictable.
James leaned towards the portrait, speaking the password softly. The door opened up before them, and james walked them both in with confidence.
Remus noticed them first, smirking a little and holding his hand towards Peter, who looked up and rolled his eyes. He pulled a few coins out of his pocket and gave them to lupin. Bloody bastards made a bet on them.
No one really made anything of it, it was just a normal day. Until sirius noticed. He raised his eyebrow in question, then looked down and saw their hands intertwined. "What the hell is happening prongs?" He slowly stood up and made his way over. "This some sort of joke?"
"Not a joke, pads." James said, smile never leaving his face. Sirius eyes narrowed, flitting between them. He landed on regulus. "Did you spell him? Amortentia perhaps?" Sirius walked towards his brother. Regulus let go of James and backed up a little. "Maybe you black mailed him? Bribed him."
Regulus' eyes stung. "Do you truly think so little of me?" Sirius didn't miss a beat. "Yes."
"Pads-" James tried to intervene. "Don't worry prongs you'll snap out of it, I promise." "Sirius there's nothing to snap out of! I'm not under a spell!" "So you're telling me it's real?!" "Yes!"
Regulus needed out. He can't watch this. He can't watch his brother hate him more. He can't. They were both distracted, so he quickly ducked back through the portrait and ran.
His eyes burned. He blinked viciously, trying not to let tears break through. He kept walking until he found a quiet alcove to hide in. Somewhere safe. Somewhere away from everyone. He hugged his knees, staring at the ceiling, begging his tears to stop. It was no use, they broke free and they wouldn't be stopping anytime soon. Head against the wall, he sat and cried.
Of course his brother won't be ok with it. And he'll convince James to stop seeing him. And regulus will lose the best thing that's ever happened to him along with the chance to have his brother back. All because he liked a boy.
James said he couldn't pick, but part of regulus didn't believe that. Deep down he felt sirius would be the first choice. Sirius was always the first choice.
Time passed by. He had no idea how long he had sat in the alcove. Time could end for all he cared. He didn't want to leave.
That was until he heard footsteps. Then he wanted to run far away from whatever was coming. But he didn't move, the masochistic side of him curious of who it was.
He looked over to find his brother standing there, not looking at him.
Sirius sighed. "Look, I'm sorry." Well he didn't expect that so easily. "I know- I know you're not like that. You wouldn't spell him. I don't know why I thought that."
Regulus waited, letting sirius continue. "I just- didn't expect you two. And I definitely didn't expect prongs to not tell me." He rolled his eyes. "Then again maybe you were right to not tell me considering how I reacted." He looked at regulus, a guilty expression on his face. "So I'm sorry."
He seemed to mean it. Leave it to james to knock sense into even the most stubborn gits. Regulus looked at his hands. "I care about him...a lot....I wouldn't spell him. Even if he didn't return my feelings. I wouldn't do that."
It was quiet for a minute. "You love him?"
"I do........and I won't stop, no matter your feelings on the matter-"
Sirius smiled a little. "Are you kidding? Truly there's no one I'd rather for you than James. He brings out the good in everyone."
Regulus smiled to himself. "He does."

Pairings: Remus Lupin x Reader, slight Sirius Black x Reader
Warning: cocky Sirius, kissing, you (coz you are hot)
..........................................................................................................................
Sirius was getting a lot more attention than the previous year and that boy was enjoying it. Remus really wonders how he ended up being friends with people like James and Sirius who were confident and got a lot of attention. While the former had settled with a certain redhead, Sirius was exploring. Even Peter had a girl he could cherish.
One day Remus was walking in the hallway he heard a group of girls
"Sirius can get any girl he wants"
"Or any boy" the girls giggle leaving Remus to ponder.
Remus was not actively looking for someone. Unless you count Y/n who just happens to be in his line of vision every time. He just can't help it. She somehow always managed to capture his attention. Either it was her laugh, her voice, or simply just her.
Unfortunately, it seemed like he was not able to catch her attention as one day during a free class he noticed her blushing at the sight of Sirius Black. Remus sighed. Another one bites the dust.
Remus ignored his hurting heart whenever he caught you looking at Sirius. He hated how he felt. He was his best friend he should not feel like this. You can't help who you fall for.
............................................................................................................................
Remus was returning to his dorm after dinner, he was so tired he felt like he would sleep as soon as his head would hit his pillow. He was practically dragging himself when you called him by his name.
"Remus?"
He was thankful he was near a wall because he turned at such a speed that he almost slipped. You know his name?
"Hi, I don't know if you know me, I am Y/n." you extended your hand with a bright, genuine smile. Of course, I know you. I think about you all the time.
He shook her hand "I share a few classes with you"
"I know this will sound rude but I kind of want your help"
Remus had guessed what you needed from him. For the first time, he wanted to be wrong.
"Can you introduce me to Sirius? I would not have asked you if he was not swimming in attention."
His smile dropped but he immediately regained his composure ignoring his shattering heart.
"Uh sure, why don't you meet me during lunch on Monday?"
"Ok Remus see you on Monday take care" with that you left Remus in the hall alone with his thoughts.
..............................................................................................................................
Monday was here and Remus didn't want to leave his bed. His friends on the other hand were ecstatic.
"Moony get up we are getting late" Sirius yelled shaking Remus' foot.
Remus hid in his blanket when someone knocked on their dorm room.
"Who could it be?"
"Prongs we are also standing here," Sirius quipped opening the door to find a fellow Gryffindor standing there.
"Oh hi Mark"
"Hey guys a girl is looking for Remus"
Remus immediately got up from his bed while his friends hooted.
"Guys please she just came here to ask for my notes." he lied hoping they believe him. He quickly made his way out of the portrait to find Y/n waiting for him.
"Hii Remus good morning" you greeted him with a warm smile that energized him.
Good Morning indeed.
"Good Morning Y/n Sirius will be down in a minute"
"I don't know if I can talk to him, Remus"
"It's easy you are talking to me"
"Well you are easy to talk to"
Remus smirked "Are you flirting with me L/n?"
"Uh-what -no what?"
Before Remus could reply they heard Sirius and Y/n shrunk behind Remus.
"Oh hey, Remus where is your friend?"
"Uh she left"
Sirius just nodded his head and left.
"You know you will have to talk to him for him to notice you?"
"I will I promise, ok how about this you tell me more about him, and I will use those points in our conversation".
............................................................................................................................
With that Remus and you spent most of your days talking about likes and dislikes of Sirius. Remus obviously didn't go into detail leaving it for Sirius and you to talk about it.
It had been a few months and you were nowhere near talking to Sirius. You really tried but he would be busy either talking or snogging someone.
You would instead talk to Remus to build up some confidence. But would be distracted by how the hue of his eyes changed under the sunlight or how he would laugh at your puns.
He offered some of his own set of puns. You were surprised. After all, he is a Prefect. You thought he would be calm, strict, and studious but spending time with him just because your crush was busy with other people showed you a different side of Remus Lupin.
Throughout your conversation, you would find yourself mostly listening to him talk because you just liked hearing his voice. You realized how insecure he is about himself and wanted nothing more than hold him in your arms and kiss his scars to let him know how beautiful he really is.
You didn't even realize when you fell in love with Remus. You only came to the realization that you would smile not just to be nice but because you were genuinely happy to see him.
..........................................................................................................................
As usual, you were waiting downstairs for Remus with his favorite flowers that you hid behind your back. You just couldn't wait for his reaction.
Remus came out of the fat lady's portrait and smiled at the sight of his love smiling.
"You are more smiley than usual" he noted
"Is that bad?"
"No" he simply stated. He quite liked the view. On one hand, he was happy you were slowly getting confident because three days ago you were able to have a decent conversation with Sirius during Potions.
"You want me to call Sirius?"
"Uh no" you quickly replied "I actually came to meet you"
"Me why?"
You presented the bouquet to him "Remus, I know this is going to sound weird but not only I have grown feelings for you but I feel attached to you. I am so sorry if I crossed my boundary"
Remus quickly cupped your face. His calloused fingers rubbed your cheeks. You looked into his eyes to see that he was on the verge of tears.
"I have been infatuated with you for so long. It really took my whole spirit not to kiss you every time you showed up"
"What is stopping you now?" you teased him and quickly felt his soft lips on yours. His hands caressed your hips while he kissed you with such passion you would have fallen down if he was not holding you.
He broke the kiss, his lips red and swollen making you feel even more breathless.
"What is on your mind, pretty girl?"
Your head swooned at the nickname "I am an idiot for looking past you."
He chuckled "Well you are looking at me now"
..............................................................................................................................
It was Valentine's day the next week. Everyone excitedly planned their dates. Everyone except Sirius. Surprisingly he didn't get a date this time. He was bummed. He spotted you sitting across Remus in the great hall. He remembered your conversations during Potions and thought that you would make a great date for him.
He quickly sat beside you "hey Y/n" he greeted you with his charming grin.
"Oh hey, Sirius how are you?"
"I am good but I will feel better if I get to take you out on a date," he said in a tone that he knew would work in his favor.
Remus went back to eat knowing you can handle this yourself.
"Uh- I am dating Remus" you awkwardly point towards Remus
Sirius looked at Remus who just waved his hand at him.
"You are kidding me"
"No," Remus said with a smile spreading on his face
"Why didn't you tell me you were dating someone?" Sirius frowned.
"Well we had recently started dating Sirius, we are in our honeymoon phase and just wanted to spend time not talking about someone else"
Sirius walked away dejected and Remus smirked feeling a sense of pride in his chest.
"And what are you smirking about that was so awkward." you berated him with an amused smile.
"I proved everyone wrong, he can't get any girl he wants," he said getting up
"Yeah it was weird I never thought I would say no to him"
You both got outside and Remus cornered you in an empty corridor
"Do you regret it?" he asked
You wrapped your arms around his neck and brushed your lips against his "if you have to ask that question then I am not doing a good job of showing how much I love you"
"And how much do you love me?"
You slowly kissed him, biting his lower lip slightly. Your hands wander on his chest. You both broke the kiss with a gasp.
"Did that show you?"
"Hmm I might need more evidence"
You giggled and took his hand to escape the peering eyes of Hogwarts to show him how much you loved him.

Beneath the Angst
Summary: In the wizarding world of Hogwarts, Sirius Black and (Y/N) share a playful and passionate relationship. However, a misunderstanding leads to Sirius being upset with (Y/N). As their angsty days unfold, Sirius finds it difficult to stay mad at (Y/N)'s beautiful face. In the end, love and fluff triumph, strengthening their bond.
Warnings: Angst, fluff (if there are anymore please say)
In the Gryffindor common room, laughter and excitement filled the air. Sirius Black and (Y/N) were the heart of every gathering, their playful banter a source of amusement for all. However, on this particular day, their teasing went a bit too far, and Sirius found himself genuinely upset with (Y/N).
He stormed off, leaving her bewildered and hurt. (Y/N) didn't know what she had done wrong, but the look of anger in Sirius' eyes haunted her.
For days, Sirius avoided (Y/N) like the plague. He wouldn't meet her eyes or engage in any playful exchanges. The Gryffindor common room lost its spark, and their friends noticed the tension between them.
Remus Lupin and James Potter tried to mediate, but Sirius was determined to stay upset. He believed that (Y/N) had crossed a line with her playful antics, unaware that it had hurt her too.
(Y/N) tried to give Sirius space, but her heart ached with every passing day. She missed his laughter, his affectionate nicknames, and most of all, his beautiful smile. She longed to make things right but didn't know where to start.
In the dark corners of the common room, she confided in her closest friend, Lily Evans, pouring out her worries and regrets. Lily encouraged (Y/N) to speak to Sirius, to let him know how much she cared.
One evening, as the sun set and the common room quieted, (Y/N) found Sirius sitting alone by the fire. Taking a deep breath, she approached him, her heart pounding in her chest.
"Sirius," she began, her voice soft and sincere, "I'm sorry if I hurt you with my teasing. I never meant to upset you, and I miss the way things used to be between us."
Sirius glanced at her but quickly looked away, his expression conflicted. "(Y/N), you know I love your playful nature, but sometimes it's hard to tell when you're joking and when you're not. I just need some time to process things."
Tears welled up in (Y/N)'s eyes, and she nodded understandingly. "Okay, I'll give you the time you need. Just know that I care about you, and I never want to hurt you intentionally."
As the days passed, Sirius found it difficult to remain angry with (Y/N). Her absence in his life left a void he couldn't ignore. He missed her laughter, her sparkling eyes, and her infectious spirit.
He couldn't deny the fact that he loved her deeply, and it was not long before he realized that being without her was far worse than any playful prank gone awry.
Unable to resist any longer, Sirius sought out (Y/N) one evening. He found her sitting alone in the Astronomy Tower, gazing at the stars.
"(Y/N)," he said softly, approaching her.
She turned to him, her eyes filled with a mix of sadness and hope. "Sirius, I missed you."
"I missed you too," he admitted, feeling the weight of the tension lift from his shoulders. "I realized that I can't stay mad at you, not when your beautiful face and your playful spirit bring so much joy to my life."
With tears in her eyes, (Y/N) smiled, her heart filling with happiness. She reached out and pulled Sirius into a tight embrace, feeling his arms wrap around her in return.
In that moment, all the hurt and misunderstandings melted away, replaced by the warmth of their love and affection for each other. They knew that their relationship was built on more than just playful banter - it was founded on trust, understanding, and a deep connection that could withstand any quarrel.
From that day forward, Sirius and (Y/N) were inseparable once again. Their playful teasing returned, but now, it was infused with a newfound tenderness and appreciation for each other.
They spent their days laughing and exploring Hogwarts hand in hand, with their friends cheering them on. Sirius realized that he couldn't imagine his life without (Y/N) by his side, and he vowed to cherish her beautiful face and playful spirit for eternity.
In the end, their love triumphed over the angst, and they lived happily ever after, creating many more memories filled with love, laughter, and fluff.

Ever So Sweet
Title: Ever so sweet
Pairing: None
Rating: PG13 (for verbal abuse)
Summary: Sirius was a mama's boy growing up, and she adored him, treated him like a prince. But the moment he was sorted into Gryffindor, the apron wasn't just cut, it was incinerated.
Notes: This isn't my usual take on Walburga and Sirius' relationship, but it came to me while I was listening to this song and stuck with me.
Warnings: verbal abuse of a minor
I just found a friend in one of your lies,
To treat me so nice
I can't believe my bones
When they say so many things
They tell me I am fine
Believe me I, I try
"GRYFFINDOR!"
A weight lifted from his shoulders, and yet his heart twisted in his chest.
He blinked.
Sirius Black, in Gryffindor?
It seemed his shock was shared by all in the Great Hall if the stuttered claps, much softer and slower than every other declaration from the Sorting Hat, was any indication. It was only a moment before the cheers grew to match those of his fellow first-years, but it had been enough for Sirius to notice it. He couldn’t blame them, of course, the House of Black were traditionally sorted into Slytherin — a reality he had been dreading since boarding the Hogwarts Express. So to hear the name Gryffindor after the Sorting Hat had looked into his head and heart, Sirius felt his spirit lift higher than it ever had.
His parents would be furious, particularly his mother, who had spent the entire summer regaling him with tales of her days at Hogwarts in Slytherin House, while Sirius held his tongue. He always held his tongue, if only because his mother loved him so, and he knew that should he voice how he truly felt, it would break her heart. Even when his mother would say the most vile things about everyone who didn't belong to 'the right family' he would ignore it. She was more than just her hatred of anyone who wasn’t a pureblood, and she loved him more than anything in the world.
As he slid off of the stool that was situated in front of the staff table, a smile lifted at the corners of his lips, and his chest swelled with pride. With his head held high, he made his way to the Gryffindor table on the far left side of the Great Hall.
Gryffindor! He was a Gryffindor!
Perhaps he wasn't doomed to follow in his family's footsteps as he'd so long believed. Perhaps he could choose a different path.
He decided not to worry about what his mother would say for the moment, and instead relished in every mumbled congratulations and hesitant pat on the shoulder from his new housemates. He made sure to let his smile take up the whole of his face, so they knew how much he wanted to be sitting at their table. He hoped they could see the relief in his eyes that he wasn't to be wearing the green and silver of a cunning snake, but the gold and crimson of a courageous lion.
Biting down on his bottom lip, he chanced a look up at the staff table, where Albus Dumbledore seemed to be watching him carefully, a faint but noticeable smile on his lips. The headmaster slowly nodded once in approval before he turned his attention back to the Sorting Ceremony.
Sirius was filled with renewed joy when, one by one, the boys he'd met on the train — Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and James Potter — were also sorted into Gryffindor. He quickly made room as James approached the table, joining the three of them with a grin.
"I knew you weren't like them," James said, nudging Sirius' shoulder and pushing his thick-framed glass up on the bridge of his nose. "I told you, didn't I? On the train. You were so worried, but I knew you seemed alright."
"Right."
"Did you see the Slytherin’s faces when you were sorted into Gryffindor? That blonde sixth year looked like he’d seen a troll,” Peter chimed, chuckling to himself.
“Ah, who cares about them,” Sirius replied, waving him off. He wasn’t concerned in the slightest with what the other students thought, least of all the other pureblood maniacs. Regardless of which house he was sorted into, he never would’ve been one of them. He didn't care what any of them had to say. His mother, however…
He tried not to think about what she would say once she heard that her eldest son, her prince, her heir had been sorted into a house other than Slytherin. He imagined she would send a howler to Dumbledore, threatening to complain to the board of governors if he didn’t move Sirius to Slytherin. He frowned at the thought, and wondered whether Dumbledore would comply.
No. Albus Dumbledore was said to be the most powerful wizard in the world. Surely he hadn’t gotten there by bending to the whim and will of bigots.
“We’re going to room together, right lads?” James asked, gaining his attention once more.
“Definitely,” Sirius replied. “I call the window!”
“I want a window as well,” Remus chimed quickly, beating James.
“Fine then,” he grumbled.
Soon after the ceremony had finished, the headmaster stood at the podium and welcomed everyone, made announcements and expressed well wishes for the term before the food appeared, and the feast began. Sirius had been to his fair share of elegant dinner parties, but none of them compared to the lavish dinner that he was sharing with his new housemates. Every time a platter began to look empty, more food appeared, covering the slivers of plate peeking out from underneath. He ate his fill, thoughts of what his parents would have to say about his sorting drifting from his mind.
Ever so sweet
You make this seem
The way things go
It's not my fault
And I'll miss
I'll miss you so good
Through all of those nights
We lost our way back home
Sirius’ brows were knitted until the space between them ached with his efforts. He stared down at the owl that had just come for him, half confused, half relieved, and part of him afraid of what might happen after breakfast. As expected, his mother had written to him after hearing of which house he’d been sorted into, but instead of the ranting and angry words he had anticipated, she was…worried? Which he supposed didn’t necessarily shock him, but it was indeed rather different than her reaction every other time someone would disappoint her. Perhaps this was different. After all, he was her son. Her first born. Her “Little Prince” as she sometimes called him.
My Sweet Sirius,
I was most displeased to hear of you being sorted into Gryffindor with the mudbloods and half-breeds. I’m certain that this surely has been a mistake. I suppose I shouldn’t be terribly surprised that a filthy half-blood headmaster would find nothing at all strange about a pureblood from the Ancient and Most Noble House of Black being sorted into the wrong house. I wanted to write so as to assure you that your father and I will see to it that this is rectified immediately. Fret not, my sweet boy. Soon you will be with your own kind, where you belong. In the meantime, I hope you have had enough sense to at least make some respectable friends, and apart from that, when the headmaster calls you into his office, let him know that you wish to go to Slytherin house. No son of mine is a Gryffindor. Your request will be honored, I can assure you.
All my love,
Mummy
His appetite had gone the moment he’d opened the letter. While relieved that he hadn’t been on the receiving end of his mother’s wrath, Sirius was still troubled by her words. Switch houses? He didn’t want to switch houses. He liked his friends, whether or not they were purebloods. In fact, he liked them because blood purity mattered about as much to them as it did to him — not at all. He liked them because they, like him, went against the grain of what was considered ‘proper’, especially James.
“Don’t worry, mate. The Headmaster won’t make you switch houses,” James assured him. “Just tell him you’re happy where you are.”
“Yeah, but what if my mum makes him do it anyway?” Sirius answered, frowning.
“I really doubt that Albus Dumbledore will bend to the will of one parent,” Remus said. “Especially if it isn’t something you want.”
“I don’t want it. The last thing I want is to be anywhere near them lot,” Sirius answered, glancing at the Slytherin table on the other side of the room. “Let alone in their bloody house.”
“It’ll all work out,” James said again. “I promise.”
“Schedules!” Professor McGonagall was walking down the Gryffindor table, handing out their class schedules, and had just reached where Sirius and his friends were sitting. As she handed him his schedule, there was a softness in her eyes that contrasted her stern expression. “Mr. Black, before you go to your first class, the Headmaster has requested that you report to his office. I will escort you as soon as I’ve finished giving out the schedules.”
Sirius frowned, but nodded dutifully at his head of house. “Yes, Professor.”
“Very good,” she replied, continuing her way down the table.
He glanced at James, who once again shook his head. “I’m telling you, Sirius. He won’t force you to switch.” Though Sirius couldn’t tell if James was trying to convince Sirius or himself.
Still, when Professor McGonagall came to fetch him just as the bell rang, Sirius’ heart was in his throat, and he could already feel a sting slowly blooming on the bridge of his nose. It had spread to his eyes by the time they reached the spiral staircase that carried them up to the headmaster’s office. He swallowed thickly, trying to keep the tears that had built up in his eyes from falling. The last thing he wanted to do was cry, especially in front of anyone. His mother had always told him that crying was for when one could be certain they wouldn’t be seen, because to show weakness publicly was the height of dishonor. Eyes planted on the light tan stone floors, Sirius climbed the two steps to the platform on which the headmaster’s desk sat, and stood with his hands folded in front of him.
He counted Professor McGonagall’s steps until he heard the stairs moving again, presumably taking her back down to ground level so that she could get to her first lesson of the day.
“Mr. Black.” The headmaster’s friendly voice did little to reassure him, and Sirius kept his eyes pointed at the floor, afraid that if he did otherwise, he would lose the battle with the tears in them.
“Yes, Headmaster.” His voice was shaky and he cleared it as quietly as he could, and swallowed again.
“Please sit, my boy.” The headmaster gestured to one of the chairs in front of his desk, and Sirius sank into it, hands in his lap, his eyes still down. “I received a rather urgent letter from your mother this morning.”
Sirius waited for him to continue, but the silence stretched and swelled between them until he looked up and found the old wizard looking at him with soft, crystal blue eyes over his half-moon spectacles. Swallowing, Sirius licked his dry lips and took a deep breath. “Yes, Sir.”
“She seemed to express some concern over which house you were sorted into,” Professor Dumbledore continued. “If memory serves, you were sorted into Gryffindor.”
He couldn’t help the way the corner of his lips curled upward at hearing those words again, but he quickly steeled his expression. “Yes, Sir.”
“She asked me to give you the opportunity to switch houses,” Professor Dumbldore continued. “Normally, no such consideration would be accommodated as I’m sure you understand. But she insisted that the Sorting Hat made a mistake, citing that every other member of your family was sorted into Slytherin when they attended Hogwarts.”
Sirius frowned, nodding reluctantly. There was another pause, and Sirius began to fear the worst. The headmaster would grant his mother’s request, he would be moved to House Slytherin where he would be forced to endure seven years of hearing about blood purity and how they were superior. No doubt Professor Dumbledore would assume it was what he wanted, being from one of the oldest pureblood houses in Britain. It had been the very thing he had feared when he first boarded the Hogwarts Express, and now he couldn’t believe he had allowed himself even one night of thinking it could be any different for him.
“Sirius.” Professor Dumbledore’s warm voice prompted him to look up for the first time since he’d entered his office. “I’m giving you a choice. You don’t have to do what your mother expects if you don’t want to. Do you feel you were sorted into the wrong house? Would you be more comfortable in Slytherin?”
He bit the tip of his tongue, afraid that if he spoke, his instinct to make mother happy would prevail over his heart’s desire. Shifting his eyes, he caught sight of the Sorting Hat, and a warm feeling came over him, a resolve that he could never quite reach before, but now was in arm’s reach, waiting for him to take hold and never let go. He straightened his shoulders and tipped his head up, hoping his new posture would give him the strength to hold on to his courage.
Sirius swallowed the lump in his throat. “N —” He cleared his throat. “No, Sir. I’m not a Slytherin, Sir. I’m a Gryffindor. I’m perfectly happy where I am, Professor Dumbledore.”
Surely his mother would understand. Why did it matter that he wasn’t in Slytherin? He was still the same boy she raised, the boy she loved, the one she called her Little Prince, who she doted on. She would still love him even if she would be upset for a little while. But it wasn’t as though she would disown him simply for being sorted into a different house than the rest of the family.
Professor Dumbledore’s lips presented a faint, almost proud smile as he nodded once. “Very well. I will inform your parents of your decision.” He picked up his quill and scribbled on a slip of parchment that he pulled from one of the drawers of his desk. “Here is a pass for Professor Binns to explain your tardiness. Go on to your lesson.”
Smiling tightly, Sirius took the note and stood. “Thank you, Sir.”
Ever so sweet
As he left the headmaster’s office, Sirius felt a weight lift from his shoulders, and he practically floated to History of Magic. He was glad to have it over with, and hoped that his mother wouldn’t react too badly. He had a feeling she would eventually get used to having a son in Gryffindor. All she needed was to see that he was still the same boy she loved, and that loved her despite her bigotry.
Who knows, he thought to himself as he happily handed his pass to Professor Binns. Maybe it’ll even get her and Dad to change their minds about half-bloods and muggleborns.
You baked it in cakes for me
What you left behind,
It hurts my teeth.
Bring in the past
With the post cards you sent for me.
Every line,
It brings me right back down
Sirius had anticipated the howler, and was not at all surprised to see the blood red envelope when it stopped in front of him. His mother would undoubtedly have been upset that he hadn’t been asked to move to Slytherin House, but it wouldn’t last. She loved him after all, he was her son, her Little Prince. Soon her initial anger would pass and she would see that he was still the same Sirius she knew and loved.
He hardly paid attention to the envelope as it ripped itself open, bringing some eggs up to his mouth and chewing on them while he waited for the inevitable screaming. James, Remus and Peter were all staring at it, wincing when Walburga Black’s voice rang out in a shrill for all of the Great Hall to hear.
HOW DARE YOU REJECT YOUR RIGHTFUL PLACE AND DEFILE THE NAME BLACK?! BLOOD TRAITOR!! SHAME OF MY FLESH!! YOU ARE NO SON OF MINE!! IF I HAD KNOWN WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT YOU WOULD TURN OUT TO BE, I WOULD HAVE PLUCKED YOU FROM MY WOMB AND FED YOU TO THE TROLLS!!
Time stood still, his heart throbbing in his ears, and Sirius blinked, unsure as to whether he had imagined the words he'd just heard or if his mother had truly written them. What was worse was that she had sent it as a howler, which he expected, but it also meant that her cruel, venom-soaked words would be heard by the entire school, Professors and Headmaster included. Even the bloody caretaker had heard what an embarrassment he was.
Despite the fact that the letter had engulfed itself in flames, forever silenced, his mother’s words echoed in his ears, repeating themselves over and over again. He knew she would be angry, but to say that he was no son of hers, and that she would’ve fed him to the trolls… His jaw trembled, and as soon as a familiar sting began to bloom in his nose, he quickly stood and ran out of the Great Hall, ignoring the jeers and sniggers that came from the Slytherin table.
He didn’t stop running until he reached the bathroom just outside the Great Hall, locking himself inside a stall just in time. His sobs jolted his body, making him curl in on himself as he sat on the toilet and wrapped his arms over his chest, gripping his shoulders and trying desperately to calm his shaking.
How could she have said those things? His own mother, when she was also the one who read to him every night, would give him cuddles and reassure him that everything was alright any time he was scared. She had always referred to him as her Little Prince, but her vile words said otherwise. Had she ever truly loved him? Or had it been merely the idea of him that she loved? If he were to go by the howler she had sent, she only loved him for as long as she believed he would be her heir, the one to carry on their noble family name.
Suddenly, the door to the bathroom opened, and Sirius quickly sniffed and wiped his face despite being alone in a stall.
“Sirius?” James’ shoes came into view beneath the stall door. “Alright?”
“I’m fine!” Sirius shouted back, his voice betraying him.
“Don’t listen to her, mate. She’s just angry, I’m sure once she —”
“I said I’m fine, James, leave me alone!” he shouted, clenching his jaw.
James sighed softly, and stayed a moment longer before he slowly walked away. “I’ll see you in History of Magic, alright? I’ll save you a seat.”
Sirius waited for the door to close again before he let out another round of sobs, no longer caring if he could be heard. His mother’s letter had been as though she had ripped his heart from his chest, held it in front of him, squeezing every last ounce of life out of him. Every memory he had of her was tainted with his spilled blood, stained by her vile words for a son she had once claimed to love more than anything in the world.
Walburga Black didn’t know how to love, that much had been made perfectly clear, and the more he wallowed in the misery she had so freely inflicted upon him, the more he understood how foolish he had been to have held onto to love he had for her for as long as he had. She would never learn. She didn’t want to learn, nor could she even be capable of it. She was every bit the definition of heartless.
As he wiped the tears and snot from his face with his sleeve, he stood and walked out of the stall, no longer shaking or crying. Just numb.
He didn’t care.
He didn’t care anymore what his mother thought, or whether he could keep her wrath from being turned on him. He didn’t care if she sent a howler every day from now until the end of his time at Hogwarts. He would no longer toe the line just to keep the peace. It was past time he stood up and spoke his mind, even if it meant his mother would be angry with him. Even if it meant she would never again truly be his mother.
For Sirius Black was no snake.
Sirius Black was a lion.

The chapter 39th has been posted. Here is the preview
39. Something's wrong
Something's wrong with you, The walls you build around you now, Seem to fit you like a glove.
Am I too blind to see that there's something there behind your eyes and it's bringing me to my knees?*
On Friday morning during breakfast, Harry received a letter from Lupin. He wouldn't feel comfortable reading it at the staff table where all Hogwarts students ate their meals every day, so he stuffed it in his pocket and opened it only when he was alone in his dormitory.
For the first half of the letter, Remus only wrote about insignificant trivialities, asked Harry how his studies were going, whether he liked his lessons with Tonks, expressed his interest in the Quidditch matches and only mentioned in half-words that he was currently performing an important task for the Order, but for security reasons he cannot reveal anything more to him.
As for your questions, Harry... I know you're eager to know something, and I totally understand that. However, we have certain recommendations and rules. It's not known who could intercept this letter. That's why I can only tell you that our information shows that it's getting more and more dangerous. He seems to be in an unusually good mood lately, so we fear he may be planning something big and very dangerous. We have already lost many Aurors and we believe that number may increase in the near future. That's why I'm asking you not to leave Hogwarts anywhere and not to try to break the Headmaster's ban. It's for your safety, even if you think it limits your freedom. You need to understand, Harry, that you are his main target and we must protect you at all costs. Remember - don't trust anyone, not even your friends. You need to keep an eye out and if you notice anything suspicious, anything, report it to Dumbledore immediately.
I'm sorry for this didactic tone, but I only want your good. Now that Sirius is gone, it's up to me to take care of you and I'm very sorry that I can't be there to support you, but I'm trying my best to do it from a distance. I hope you understand this.
Greet Ron and Hermione from me.
Remus Lupin
Harry put the letter aside, gripping it a little too tightly. His hands were shaking slightly. It was nice that Remus was so concerned about him, but damn it, he wasn't a little kid anymore. He didn't want protection. He wanted information, anything!
Something twisted in his stomach at the mention of Sirius. For months, he had tried his best not to think about his godfather, but sometimes, when someone reminded him of him, something inside him snapped and his mind flooded with images from that night.
He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to block out the vision of Sirius falling through the veil and his own scream, multiplied by anger and guilt and returning to him with even greater force. He began to breathe deeply, trying to get rid of the weight pressing down on his heart. The problem was that he had had it inside him for so long that he almost never felt it, except when someone reminded him of its presence.
No, he won't think about that now. There will still be time for this. A time when he would point his wand at Bellatrix Lestrange, lying at his feet... and this time he won't hesitate.
He looked at Lupin's tiny handwriting again. Really, did they all have to treat him like this? 'We have to protect you, Harry', 'It's for your safety, Harry', and so on... He kept hearing it and it made him more and more frustrated. Everyone wanted to protect him... and what good will he get from this protection if one day he will have to fight Voldemort anyway? He won't defeat him with Protego alone. It's probably obvious that he would have a much better chance if he knew anything. But no, instead of preparing him, everyone just wanted to protect him. Even Severus...
Hold on. After all, Severus had promised that he would consider teaching him a few curses. Harry completely forgot about that conversation, and the man never mentioned it, but Harry will ask him about it today! Yesterday's meeting ended a bit strangely and they didn't manage to make an appointment at all, but he doesn't always have to come announced. It was true that he could ask him through the stone, but what if Severus refused? No, Harry had to know that today! He'll go to him tonight and... he'll get an answer from Snape!
***
Harry stopped in front of the door to Severus' office and looked at the Marauder's Map again. Yes, the man was still inside.
He took a deep breath, put the map back in his pocket, and touched the door, which immediately opened to him. He walked through the office, taking off his invisibility cloak, and he knocked on the wooden surface of the heavy gate leading to the Potions Master's private quarters.
There was silence for a moment as Harry waited, his heart beating loudly and getting faster with each second he waited.
The doorknob moved and the door opened slightly.
"Potter," Severus hissed, narrowing his eyes as his gaze fell on Harry. "What do you want? I don't remember that we had an appointment today."
"No, but..." Harry started, but couldn't finish because Snape interrupted him. His voice seemed to be carved from ice.
"I don't have time for you. I would be extremely grateful if you would get out of my sight now and come back tomorrow," he drawled.
Harry felt a strange trembling around his heart. Something was wrong. Severus was acting somehow... nervous? But this time he wouldn't let himself be dismissed so easily, because the cause he came with was too important to him.
"Then you have to find it," he replied cheekily and quickly slipped under Snape's arm. The man's chamber was in semi-darkness. "I just have one question and I'll be leaving," he said, scanning the room with an appraising look before Severus could turn around. "Do you remember our conversation about the Dark Arts? You promised that--" he stopped as suddenly as if he had swallowed his own tongue. With eyes wide with horror, he stared at the Death Eater's mask lying on the chair. It was bright, almost pearlescent, reflecting the firelight from the fireplace. There were a few small, dried drops of blood on it. Right next to it he saw a black robe, the sleeves of which were decorated with dark green images of a skull and a snake.
Harry felt his stomach drop to his feet and an icy fear grip his heart, but before he could recover enough to utter a word, Severus' hand grabbed him roughly by the arm and pulled him towards the door.
"I told you I'm busy, Potter," the man hissed, the anger in his voice seeming to sting. "But apparently you're too arrogant and insolent to respect it." Snape dragged him out the door and across the office, squeezing his arm so tightly that Harry was sure it would bruise. "Now get out. If you have any business with me, come tomorrow. And if you ignore my words again, it will end badly for you." The Potions Master pushed him out into the corridor and slammed the door, and the sound echoed far through the vast corridors of the deserted dungeons.
Harry turned around and leaned back against the wall as his legs gave out. He felt like his head was about to explode. For a moment he just breathed heavily, trying to calm his racing heart and the feeling as if something was about to tear him apart from the inside.
Snape was a Death Eater!
It wasn't that he didn't know it, but now... when he saw it with his own eyes, it became so... terrifyingly true.
He knew that Severus was a spy for the Order, and as a spy he had to be absolutely trusted by Voldemort and the other Death Eaters, and that's why he's forced to do whatever they tell him, but... Harry always tried not to think about it, to ignore it. Out of sight, out of mind, as they say. And now he saw it... he saw the bloody mask, the hated robe, and he felt as if what he had been trying to deny opened up above him and fell on him with incredible force.
He took a shaky breath, put on the invisibility cloak, and slowly made his way back to the dormitory.
Only now did certain facts begin to slip into his consciousness that he had not been able to, did not want, or was unable to admit before. He had never wondered before, not really, about this 'second' life of Severus... Somewhere out there, far from his dim chambers, far from the safety of Hogwarts, far from the long school corridors and the students running carelessly along them, far away from Harry... Among hatred, dread, screams of pain, howls of the dying ones, among envy, despair and mind-shattering laughter, devoid of all feelings and disinhibited...
Truth be told, Harry didn't think he could live like this. He suspected he would either go mad or become as unscrupulous a murderer as everyone else. A person, no matter how mentally strong and resistant, will after some time begin to 'permeate' the strong emotions present in the air, absorb them and perceive them as their own, no longer distinguishing them from each other.
But Severus was... Severus Snape. After all, he was someone who could do anything with his mind. At least that's what he said. Harry remembered that conversation.
