Over the years he lost laptops, and phones, and pictures with them. It was hard to take philosophically, considering everything else he was losing at the same time. Just meant he had to take more pictures, whenever he could. Stash them places only he could find. Those times (months, years) he didn't have Dean—no matter what happened, no matter if he thought the reasons were good—he had those captured moments, at least.

#horizon zero dawn #hzd remaster #hzd photomode #this location has always had some spots that are very dear to my heart #that specific shot of the air force academy i for some reason had trouble recreating because the vegetation seemed weirdly different #and the deathbringer/tank combo rost walks through in the intro #which taught me a lesson in how much of a sieve my brain actually is #i was absolutely convinced i'd find them in the spot where those gnarly trees are in the pic above #but they were somewhere else entirely?#still close but not that close to the place #and i've honestly not compared my old pics yet #but once i had them lined up it looked to me that i'd just forgotten where they actually are

Oh, I forgot to use this picture anywhere! It's been an exhausting, EXHAUSTING spring, including the painting, including the paneling, including a trip to nj to retrieve a pile of furniture, including way too much crochet for human hands to safely endure. But the guest room is coming together! The lips are probably getting evicted to the next guest room over (music/manga room), because the Horrors have faded enough that I'm itching for my next paint job, and I think it's going to be a pink and red palette. Just having one vibrant room in my house makes me so happy already, I simply HAVE to continue

Actually, you know what, have these curio cabinets too, because I'm delighted with how they turned out. More gifted old furniture finally giving me a dignified residence for my knickknacks. Pls note the tasteful heavy bookbinding objects on the bottom shelves definitely because they're pretty and not because I almost tipped these things over more than once before getting them anchored to the walls
