Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft
"Within pre-production, we divided the conversation into three buckets: engineering, gameplay, and art. With these categories in mind, we led our conversations in the same order."
"For our modern controller settings, we take inspiration from the Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld era of Tomb Raider. These changes are felt mostly in the way Lara moves – the right stick has full camera control and Lara moves directionally based on camera position.
Just like our approach to the graphical presentation, the original tank-style controls are still available to players via a menu toggle."
"One of Tomb Raider’s strengths was the minimal UI. However, this can be frustrating for tougher bosses with massive amounts of health. We added a health bar to let you know if you should swap to the grenade launcher or if you should keep soaking pistol damage."
"While the menus in Tomb Raider used 3D models for the health kit and ammo, the in-game assets were flat 2D sprites. This was a legacy compromise that we’ve adjusted to give a little more umph to item pick-ups."
"This is a big moment for the Tomb Raider community, so we made sure to pack in as much content as possible. We’re excited to say there are over 200 trophies to earn including (my personal favorite) locking the Butler in the freezer. Sorry, Winston! See below for a sneak peak of a few you can look forward to discovering!"
"Exploring environments in Tomb Raider is magical. We want you to be able to share these environments and iconic moments, so we’ve added a robust photo mode to pose Lara, freeze gameplay, toggle between classic and modern graphics, and showcase these environments. We’re super excited to see what the community puts together with these modes."
"And a fews more surprises..." [Full article here]

Chaos Defiler of The Emperors Children “ Amadeus”
This is a truly ancient project! This was initially a Soul Grinder but I truly despised the model after making it, so I tore it apart and left it in pieces thinking I’d have some nice bits.
3 years later, in the quest collecting obscure bits I bought a Dark Eldar Raider, which I also tore apart and left in the bits box.
Then on one fateful day now several years later. I decided to start an Emperors Children army. And having an obscene phallic deamon engine seemed just right! Thus Amadeus The Penetrator was born!
Now it’s 2024! And in the spirit of touching up my Emperors Children army, I will oil wash this mechanical pervert!

Warhammer 40,000 Rules Update for August 1st, 2024
So I knew Games Workshop was going to have to patch the new movement rules they've created for Pariah Nexus, but apparently they've once again gone above and beyond. Early results are showing the Sisters of Battle as new potential terror of the tabletop, while Genestealer Cults are already hurting quite a lot. So apparently GW snuck some new rules changes into the faction FAQs. I wouldn't normally be expecting a lot, but I heard they changed GSC's Army Rule again.
But first, what were these problems with movement that GW needed to fix anyway?
Movement Before Pariah Nexus
The original movement rules for Warhammer 40,000 were pretty simple. No part of a model's base could move further than the model's Move score in inches. Since most models are on circular, or round as GW calls them, bases and since most rule used bases for measuring distances and interacting with terrain, this usually only clarified that you couldn't measure "front to back" while moving. Where things got interesting were if the model was on an oval base or no base at all.
For oval bases, the "no part of the base" rule meant that if the model turned at all during movement, say because it needed to get around terrain, then the tips of the oval could move quite a bit. Things were worse for vehicles. If the model didn't have a base, then no part of the model could move further. For the most part, this usually meant a corner of the model would be the point moving the furthest. But every so often it would be a weapon or even just a decorative piece. Finally, hovercraft and aircraft usually have bases, but they're often small round bases that are much smaller than the model itself. So how do you measure movement for them?
GW quickly clarified in the Rules Commentary that the only vehicles that can have bases are ones with the Walker keyword. All other models have "hulls" and measure the part of the model that travels farthest. But this still didn't fix everything.
Say a player wants to turn a Land Raider around the corner of a ruin. This will result in the outside corners of the Land Raider moving further than inside corners. But how do you measure that? Do you turn the Land Raider, then measure straight line distance from where the corner started to where it ended? Do you break out a calculator and use trig to determine the circular distance the corner moved? Can you just fudge it by bending a tape measure?
There was no real standard way for how to move these models. In some cases, players just didn't turn them at all! There's no rule that a vehicle has to move forward. If you want to move a Land Raider it's distance sideways, that's perfectly legal.
The Pivot Rule
In Pariah Nexus, GW rewrote a portion of the movement rules to define movement as being broken up into a series of straight line movements and pivots. So if you want to move a model around a ruin, you would move it in a straight line past the edge of the ruin, pivot the model, then move it the rest of the way. If you're on a "round" base, nothing really changed for you. But oval bases and vehicles got special treatment.
Each model has a "Pivot Value". For now, all Monsters and Vehicles have a Pivot Value of 2" if they're not on a round base. But this is potentially something they could change in the future. Now you can move a vehicle its full movement in a straight line without turning it, or you can spend 2" of movement and you can turn as much as you want. This makes all such vehicles much more maneuverable than they were before and makes movement much easier. However there were two problems.
The first is that GW put this rule in two place when Pariah Nexus released. The first was in the new Core Rules Updates document, where it lists that all Monsters and Vehicles that aren't on a round base have a Pivot Value of 2". The second is in the Pariah Nexus Tournament Companion, which says all models that aren't on round bases have a Pivot Value of 2". This seemed strange to many players, as GW doesn't usually change the rules of the game just for Tournaments. But this was still an easily fixed issue. However, remember when I said that hovercraft often come on a base?
Potential Game-Breaking Moves
So assuming the Core Rules are correct, this meant that some models could get free movement. Bikes and cavalry are usually on oval bases, but they don't have the Vehicle keyword. This means that a bike can deploy sideways along the border of your deployment zone, then pivot at the start of its movement to gain an extra inch as it rides out. This honestly isn't too big of a deal, especially since Mounted units could use some love. But for vehicles it was much worse.
Those hovercraft on round bases weren't given any exceptions or exclusions. They could still pivot all they wanted regardless of the dimensions of the model. For most this wasn't too big of a deal. But some really overhung the front of their base. And since the actual movement measurement was happening from the model, this meant you could get a surprising amount of free movement.
By far the most flagrant example was the Drukhari Tantalus, a massive war barge that sat on a circular base. Using the biker trick mentioned above, a Tantalus could easily gain 6" of extra movement. Worse, a Tantalus can Deepstrike. Normally a unit that Deepstrikes has to be more than 9" away from any enemy models. If the Deepstriking wants to charge, it has to roll better than a 9 on 2D6. But by using the free pivot on the Tantulus, you could easily get within 4" of the enemy. Now you'd only have to roll a 3 on 2D6.
This honestly didn't matter all that much, since you weren't likely to be charging your Tantulus into combat. Additionally, while it was gaining extra movement, the thing is huge! Moving it around the board was always going to be difficult even with these abuses. But this was just the most extreme exploit people could think of. Models getting a few inches of free movement, especially when other rules ignored the model's circular base, didn't feel right. And with so many rules determined to make sure that you have to make a 9" charge out of Deepstrike, anything that bypassed that without directly saying you could felt broken.
So I think that catches us up. Let's see what the new rules have to say!
Core Rules Update
So this is an update to both the Core Rules and the Commentary. We start with a notice explaining that old changes will be blocked out in green, while new changes will be in red. That should make these easier to spot.
And as I thought, we're invoking the Walker keyword again. Just as with measuring distances, if your Vehicle isn't a Walker it doesn't really have a base. However, they break it down further.
GW has decided to go ahead and introduce more fine tuned Pivot Values. Now, if you're a Mounted unit you probably have a Pivot Value of 1". Not as good as before, but better than the Tournament Rules. However, rather than just going off of Walkers this actually checks the size of the base. If you have a small Vehicle on a round flight stand, you don't have a Pivot Value. But Vehicles on hover stands have the 2" Pivot. This actually still means that the Tantulus can potentially get a 5" charge out of Deepstrike. But they might address that later.
Whoah! Really? I'm actually surprised by this one!
So if you're wondering what's up here, Neurotyrants recently got the ability to join Zoanthropes. The resulting Unit has both the Monster and Infantry keywords. This raised questions about how this works with Big Guns Never Tire. But this change means that entire Unit gets to shoot! That combo just gained some serious legs!
There's also a further nerf opposite to Indirect Fire. You can now never Indirect Fire a Torrent weapon.
I heard about this, but I can't remember which Unit ran into this issue where it could Scout further than it could move. Either way, this is nice buff to Scouting for units, and a bit of a nerf to Scouting for vehicles.
Huh! Could have sworn we already had this cleared up. But yeah, this has always been explicit. The Command Step and the Battle-shock Step are separate, and Stratagems and Abilities that are used in the Command Phase have always explicitly taken place in the Command Step.
Clarification on the new version of the free Strat abilities. This is good news. I'm so happy Hive Tyrants are good again!
Oh wow! We've got a bunch of FAQs for Transports and couple new ones for Reserves.
The first one is just further clarification on what the rules already say; you have to setup a Transport arriving from Strat Reserves wholly within 6" of a battlefield edge, but the only requirements for embarked units is that they not be setup within 9" of enemy models.
We get a timing clarification for embarked units and destroyed Transports. You have to setup all the units from the Transport before rolling for mortals. The player controlling the Transport gets to decide the order the units disembark.
When splitting Units in Transports, the spilt unit counts as half its points cost for Strat Reserves. Makes sense there. Finally yes, you can target disembarking units with Fire Overwatch. Disembarking units are being set up on the battlefield, that's one of the Stratagem's triggers.
Here's one for you! A unit placed in Strategic Reserves has been placed in, get this, Reserves! So rules that affect units in Reserves affect units in Strategic Reserves! Who would have guessed!
But this one really is weird! A unit in Reserves can be eligible to shoot. That doesn't mean they get to, just that they're eligible. I really hate that models in a space ship orbiting above a battlefield have more interaction with that battlefield than models in vehicles driving through the middle of it.
Here is something new: a clarification in a previous FAQ. This is a further nerf to Aircraft, and I know exactly who it's targeting. I hope Tau players enjoyed this while it lasted.
Rules Commentary
This is such a hobby quality of life win. It's also a huge buff to a lot units that were previously difficult to hide behind a ruin. Could . . . could it be? Could it be possible? Could a Toxicrene possibly be playable now?
Pariah Nexus Tournament Companion
Doesn't look like we get any guidelines on figuring out what has and hasn't changed. Let me see if I can spot anything that isn't obvious.
They've removed the Core Rules Updates section. The tournament companion now assumes you're using the current version of the Core Rules.
We get a clarification on Burden of Trust. This is a strange one in that the player going first has blatantly more opportunities to score than the player going second. Wonder if they might try and fix that later.
Whoah! There's something!
It looks like they've changed the terrain layouts a bit. I know there were some concerns some of these layouts heavily favored melee armies. The U shaped ruins have been shrunk down now. This will reduce the size of the unit you can hide there.
Adepta Sororitas
Not sure this is really any kind of rules change here. I don't have copy of the Sororitas Codex, so I don't know what exactly changed. Did Devout Fanaticism say attacked before? Either way, this feels more like a clarification than any kind of actual rules change.
Genestealer Cults
I'm in a similar place with GSC. I don't have my Codex yet, since I had other things I desperately wanted to get first. But let's see if I can spot anything from what I know of the rules.
Oh! I can definitely see that one! That's a huge buff! If I read this correctly, it doesn't interact with Rapid Ingress unfortunately. But still! This means that, providing you don't get screened out, you have a lot more flexibility with some of your units and can even set them up if your opponent kills all your Ambush markers! I'll need to see what units have the Cult Ambush army rule, but this is potentially really good!
As for the other one, I'm not sure this is a rules change either. I thought the rule already was that you couldn't bring hand flamers if you wanted to get the full Brood Surge. So this seems like a clarification.
Final Thoughts
This was mostly about fixing the pivot rule, but GW did take the time to address a few more things. Again, I'm really happy with the support we're getting for this edition! I can complain about a lot but I honestly have no complaints there!
I like the fact they refined the Pivot rule and didn't just clarify it. Bikes paying 2" to Pivot didn't seem fair. I do find it strange they didn't seem to make any charge clarifications. But as I said above, the units that benefit usually aren't ones you want in combat. Some units are still going to feel like they're faster than they should be, but that can be addressed later if necessary. Worst comes to worst, they can always change the points.
I'm honestly really surprised but still pleased by some of this. Addressing Tiger Sharks needed to happen and clarifications are always welcome. I know I meme'd a bit, but I'm still glad GW is willing to come out with answers to people trying to stupidly abuse their rules. My biggest surprise is still that the clarification to Big Guns appears to make Zoanthropes shooting into combat a thing. I'm honestly not surprised by the Scout rule changes though. The changes to Ruins is very nice though! Many centerpiece models are gonna love it. Anything that allows us to play our favorite hobby projects without having to worry about getting bit by the rules is a good thing.
For the small balance pass, this is a nice start. The problem is that the new GSC Codex just doesn't have a lot of punching power. More tactical flexibility can certainly help with that. But if the opponent can just screen us out because we couldn't do any damage to them, nothing has changed. Meanwhile Sisters will definitely still be melting faces. Ascension day will have to wait a bit longer.

France will deliver missiles to Ukraine on a monthly basis in 2024
More than 600 missiles announced as continuous support in the midst of Ukraine's struggles.
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 01/19/2024 - 16:00 in Military, War Zones
France has committed to provide Ukraine with 50 missiles per month over 2024, totaling 600 missiles throughout the year, as the war-torn nation continues to face the effects of the conflict.
The French Minister of Defense, Sebastien Lecornu, announced the start of missile deliveries to Ukraine during an interview at France Inter, reports Le Figaro. From January 18, France will provide approximately 50 undesignated "missiles" per month by the end of the year.
Lecornu clarified that this is a distinct initiative from President Emmanuel Macron's decision to supply about 40 SCALP air-to-air cruise missiles to Ukraine.
The missile weapons supplied are believed to be modified air bombs of the AASM family, equipped with a propellant rocket and classified as missiles in the French military system. AASM is a modernization kit designed for existing free-fall unguided aerial pumps, specifically the American JDAM model used by Ukrainian tactical aviation.
The AASM kit includes a front section with orientation system and flaps and a rear section with accelerator to increase flight range. Two types of aerial pump kits are in use in France: "Hammer-250" for 227 kg Mk82 pumps and "Hammer-1000" for 908 kg Mk84 pumps.
The front part of the AASM kit can incorporate three orientation systems: inertial with GPS correction, inertial with thermal imaging orientation or similar with laser beam orientation system. In 2016, the French Ministry of Defense ordered the production of 764 AASM sets with inertial orientation system, 384 sets with thermal imaging orientation and 600 sets with laser orientation.
The range of these ammunition varies according to the launch height and the initial speed, officially ranging from 15 to 70 kilometers. With the expected start of ammunition transfers in January, it is expected that Ukrainian aircraft, especially Soviet-era models, such as the MiG-29 and Su-27 fighters, will be the main users of Mk.82 air bombs. The heavier Mk.84 pumps, weighing 908 kg, are only compatible with the Su-24M frontline bomber.
In addition, the AASM ammunition demonstrated compatibility with F-16 fighters during the tests in 2014. Ukraine is expected to receive its first F-16 fighters this year.

2024 - (Art) Year in Review
It's that time of year again, where artists compare each others' output to everyone else on how the year went when it came to art. Not counting some stuff, I finished about 11 works. Which is... pretty sad, honestly. I'm not going to go into the whole spiel about how I wish I could pump out art as frequently as I used to 15 years ago, it'd be pointless. You get older and sometimes, you just wear out. It is what it is.
Much like a comic actor trying to shed typecasting by doing dramatic roles, I attempted to try and *not* do overly dramatic lighting but that failed absolutely miserably. Perhaps 2025 will be a different story, if I can just train myself to be more, uh, consistent.
Started out somewhat promising, too, but the reality of fickle fandom tastes hit harder than I expected this year, like, right out the gate and that was one sucker punch I couldn't come back from. Eh, wygd. ┐(‘~` )┌
Not pictured are some doll rerooting projects I did throughout the year. Still very much in the beginner stages, but it's been a fun to do something totally different from 2D art. It at least kept me from going out of my gourd during the slower months.
My hopes for 2025 are:
Get back to drawing my personal worldbuild stuff more often
Finally get past the embarrassment and start chipping away at "Lara Croft and the Eye of Azimuth" (my take on how a Tomb Raider/Legacy of Kain crossover could work) but it probably won't be shared with the public.
Experiment with traditional mediums and 3D modeling when able
Learn how to sew so I can make doll clothes lmao rip

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981, Steven Spielberg)
10/03/2024
Raiders of the Lost Ark is a 1981 film directed by Stephen Spielberg and written by Lawrence Kasdan, based on a story by George Lucas and Philip Kaufman, as well as the progenitor of the Indiana Jones film saga.
It was the highest-grossing film of 1981, earning approximately $330.5 million worldwide, and also a critical success, receiving praise for its modern take on the serial film, its seamless action and adventure, as well as for the cast, especially Ford, Allen and Freeman. The film was nominated for several awards and, among others, won five Academy Awards, seven Saturn Awards and a BAFTA Award.
The United States Library of Congress selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry in 1999.
In 1936, American archaeologist Indiana Jones leads an expedition to recover a Golden idol from a Peruvian temple with snares and deadly traps. When it seems to be successful, the local guide Satipo betrays Jones to steal the idol, only to end up killed by a trap, and only Jones manages to escape alive with the idol from the crumbling temple. Rival archaeologist René Belloq corners him and steals the idol. Pursued by the dangerous Hovitos Indians, allies of Belloq himself, Jones escapes on a waiting seaplane.
After returning to his university, Jones, along with colleague and friend Marcus Brody, is informed by two US Secret Service agents that the Nazis are digging in Tanis, Egypt, and one of their telegrams mentions Jones' old mentor, Abner Ravenwood. Jones deduces that the Nazis seek the mythical Ark of the Covenant, hidden in a secret chamber in the city, which they believe will make them invincible. To find it they must get their hands on the Staff of Ra amulet, guarded by Abner, which can indicate where the chamber is located via a scale model of the city.
At a bar in Nepal, Jones reunites with Abner's daughter, Marion Ravenwood, with whom Jones had an illicit affair, and learns that Abner is dead. The bar is later set on fire during a scuffle with a group of Nazis, led by the sinister Gestapo agent Arnold Ernst Toth, intent on taking the medallion from Marion.

IT'S NEW YEARS OVER HERE SO LET ME LAUNCH MY BABIES AT YOU FOR IT!!!!
In case you want their backstories, I just recommend you go over to their Toyhou.ses respectively, as- typing on Tumblr is a pain for my PC. My PC hates Tumblr in particular for some reason, whenever I format text, and I can't LIVE without formatting text as a hobby-author man. xD
LINK TO MARCO'S STORY
LINK TO ZORRO'S STORY
For new users; Marco was made by Heavenly-Hellfire and Hollowed-Hartlocke. I bought him back in 2019! Still love him like it's day 1. My best, most adorable boy <3, he's become my actual role model, I love him sm ;:
In case you never read them before, hopefully you enjoy the reads!!! I hope you can forgive the older grammar on Zorro's. I def plan to rewrite it, once I finish working on my raider-code. (It's been taking so long bc I'm trying to learn to use the CSS mixin z-index class-type. I still can't figure out image borders for the life of me, but I learned rotation class-types LOL.)
I've wanted to redraw both their reference sheet for almost YEARS now. Ever since I've gotten Marco, I continuously evolved how I draw him, over and over, to a point his old ref had become a detriment, due to how differently I draw him nowadays LOL. One thing that desperately needed a redo for him especially, how his hair is supposed to be drawn + his wings. His wings looked like floppy chicken nuggets on the old one LOL. PLUS! I added a section of details, where I see artists I commissioned, struggle with or fail on. Hopefully the detail section is sufficient in fixing that! I'm not sure, if I should also add a mention, of Marco's dot details below the pink pattern, as even the distance between the dots is different. + I LOVE DRAWING EXPRESSIONS. So to also add a small box of extras for Marco's cool glowy eyes was a treat. <3
I plan to redraw his refs for his magic wind attacks perhaps, as for now, I have a shabby drawing, and I got a free animation program lately, so I can FINALLY unleash my years of experience animating, in the appropriate program now LMAO. My own limitations of using SAI to animate, was making my animations look choppy and bad for years unfortunately, so my art always looked very amateur-ish when I actually know how to animate..
Speaking of that, for the attentive...Yes, I plan to possibly try and draw a 360° turnaround of my characters, as the next natural progression of refs next. I am SO close, so so SO close to making my art finally look like it's part of my project I've been working on for years in private. Ever since this year, people have proven, that you CAN start an animated series on the internet, and it will receive an audience. I also wanted to start an animated series when I was a teen, and now that I'm an adult I can make it happen for sure, with the right talents. When the time comes, I might seek out a music producer and perhaps, if I'll have the money, hire animators, so that I'm not the only one who has to work on the series I planned.
For Zorro....He had it coming. Last time I drew his ref, he looked like a 16 yo/ mobian child, it pissed me off for so many years, once I learned how to properly make adult characters look adult lol. THE CEREAL SPITTER NOW ACTUALLY LOOKS ADULT AND LIKE THE BASTARD SELF HE SHOULD BE. I don't have too much to add to him, but I consider him still a WIP in my brain bc- RAIDER PAGE CODE. I WANNA FINISH. GRABBY HANDS. I CAN FEEL THAT IF I LEARN Z-INDEX FINALLY I CAN REALISE THAT CODE. I've wanted to make a code for my raiders 3 years ago already y'all it's painful to be patient w/ myself sdgkldslgdsg
I'm so satisfied, with my ref sheets finally looking, like a professional drew them imho!! If you disagree w/ that notion, feel free to tell me what's missing or where I need to improve on! :D
My 2024 started amazing and with laughter and appreciation for my friends, I'm so happy finally. 3 years in a row, all I did was cry each new year, and be in pain. 2024 feels like it could be my year. Year of the dragon, bless me with your energetic and powerful spirit please,, 🙏
ANYWAY. Forgive me in advance for watermarks, but I kind of? Am paranoid now over my art a bit bc my work is good now? Like I think I'm in the final stages of my artistry. I can feel, that I might find the perfect style soon. I need to experiment just a bit more. Just a bit more...I might consider loosening up my linework in 2024. I honestly still? Hate lineart? Like..My lineart looks good now, don't get me wrong but. I just love sketchy artwork so much more??? Sketching is so fun, creating is so joyful, when it's a sketch..But lineart kind of.....Ruins my art. I think I should loosen up. It's why I might change my approach a millionth time, but my artstyle has potential now. I don't feel, like my art is awful anymore or worth nothing, it now HAS worth, I now HAVE the right to have an ego about it, but some pieces still are missing, to give me the ultimate happiness and relief in my work. Perhaps if I do some more commissions, I might unlock my final potential? We'll see.
My aspirations for 2024;
Pass the prep-exam for my workplace (I LOVE MY WORK. I SINCERELY WISH I'LL PASS. I love work so much omg I don't wanna be fired so badly)
Draw more art of Finn & Marco so they finally pass Chloe in most images on TH (I REALLY DON'T WANT HER TO HAVE THE MOST IMAGES STILL. It should either be my comfort boys or C.I.Ta)
Be more experimental with mixing medias traditionally (I wanna start mixing mini craft-projects + my drawings or mix more pencils + markers and also glass pens + watercolours. I rlly rlly wanna experiment and go loose.)
Animate more and possibly even post said animations. I know animation takes me HELL OF A LOT of time, as I lack so much time to do so, but I'd love to do that
Stop stressing so hard over OTA's and commissions. I know I tell myself each year, "this year will be the year I wanna finish all my owed art!!" But every once and a while, I need to be a realist to myself, my optimism may be good, but it sometimes..Is a little over-eager. But I noticed in 2023, I really heavily strangle myself out. I haven't drawn any private art since 2020, really.....It says a lot about an artist, if they now haven't drawn a personal drawing and finished it, in the same quality of their owed work for 4 years now. I haven't been really honest to myself and my heart, and I'd like to forgive myself slowly, by allowing to both work on owed work, and start creative, passionate art-projects again, again, where I can let loose and just. Experiment. Do something new. Push the boundaries of my art. Combine medias, collages, etc, anything under the sun I wanna try. I limit myself so hard, over chasing a goal, I can't achieve, if I won't acknowledge, I'll cause my own death as an artist, if I continue to chase unattainable goals, I can't achieve, if I won't be gentle to myself.
Finish revamping my commission sheet. It requires, I draw new examples of course. The big thing I need to warn ahead; I will have a fat price-increase, due to work taking all the time I can have now. I can only work around 4hrs a day on art. My art takes around 20 hours to be finished. Every piece is done with love, with time, with effort. I'm not an artist, who adheres to algorithms. I'm an artist who lives with passion, with freedom in mind. I have an endless amount of ideas, I have an infinite amount of space and ways to create it. I am not a machine, I am, what an artist strives to be. To simply...Create. AI can go to hell, and drag NFTs along with it. I to this day get attempts to be hacked, by tech bros, believe it or not. I pissed off BAYC on Twitter once, and some butthurt idiot, is still trying to get to my Insta and Steam to this day. Won't happen anymore with 2FA idiot, lmao. I won't allow a 2nd hack to happen.
Finish giving ALL my characters on TH a floatie icon. I know w/ 100% certainty, that I got this task in the bag. This one is of no problem at all.
With that, thank you for reading my world-salad! Almost as tasty, as mom's olivier-salad. Yumyum. Btw secret lil teaser ig below here lmao. I started Finn's sheet too, and I've got it 1/3rds done, but I don't wanna burn myself out on ref-sheets, so perhaps you'll see Finn also reworked in a few months! ✨

Since the U.S. presidential election on November 5, 2024, Wall Street heavyweight Carl Icahn has been on the move. Over 15 trading sessions, he’s snapped up approximately 142,000 shares of CVR Partners, a U.S. fertiliser producer, pushing his total holdings to an impressive 3.9 million shares—or 37% of the company’s outstanding stock. That’s no small slice of the pie.
What’s the fuss about? Icahn clearly sees potential where others might not, and as one of the savviest investors in the game, it’s worth paying attention.
Ah, Carl Icahn. The name alone stirs up equal parts admiration and controversy. He’s the quintessential Wall Street legend-an investor, a corporate raider, and, yes, a philanthropist. Known for his aggressive tactics, Icahn built his fortune by identifying undervalued companies, taking significant stakes, and shaking up management to unlock shareholder value. Love him or loathe him, there’s no denying his influence.
CVR Partners, LP isn’t just another name in the fertiliser industry. Established in 2007 and based in Sugar Land, Texas, this growth-oriented company is a key player in the production of nitrogen fertilisers like urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) and ammonia. As a subsidiary of CVR Energy, Inc., CVR Partners utilises cutting-edge technology to serve agricultural markets, helping farmers boost crop yields and quality. In short, they’re in the business of feeding the world-quite literally.
Let’s connect the dots. Icahn has built a reputation for spotting undervalued assets and making bold moves to maximise returns. His bet on CVR Partners likely ties to the outlook for natural gas-a major input in fertiliser production. With President-elect Donald Trump promising an “energy dominance” agenda (think expanded oil and gas drilling), Icahn may be banking on lower natural gas prices and a favourable environment for CVR’s operations.
It’s classic Icahn: buy low, influence strategy, and watch the value grow.
This move by Icahn isn’t just about CVR Partners-it reflects a larger trend in the fertiliser and energy sectors. Investors are positioning themselves for shifts in policy and market dynamics, especially in industries tied to agriculture and energy. With global demand for fertilisers holding steady and geopolitical factors influencing supply chains, this space is ripe for strategic plays.
Carl Icahn’s growing stake in CVR Partners isn’t just a headline-it’s a signal. Whether it’s a bet on natural gas, faith in CVR’s business model, or a calculated play on market trends, one thing is clear: the fertiliser industry is a stage where big players are making even bigger moves. And if history is any guide, Icahn’s latest gamble is worth watching closely.

Warhammer 40,000 Balance Changes for December 11, 2024: Chaos
Chaos Daemons
Last time we talked about Daemons, they were right around dead even stats. And today we look at Daemons and they're still right around dead even stats. More of their Datasheets could use some love. And despite buffs to mono god, Be'lakor is still a top pick. But they just need more internal balance.
Right off the bat, Denizens of the Warp gets nerfed by the changes in the Balance Dataslate to these strats. However Screamers receive an incredible buff! Not only does their bite now hit on 3s, but it gains [ANTI-MONSTER 4+, ANTI-VEHICLE 4+]. Interesting buff since we do see Screamers in lists. These changes are present in a new Index available for download.
Again, the MFM doesn't have much. With the buff to screamers they've taken them up 10 pts for 3 models. Even if that seems a bit much for the buff they got, they were already pretty good. Next, Bloodletters have gone down 10 pts. I haven't been seeing them very often, so hopefully this makes them efficient enough to put in Khorne lists.
I don't see Daemons moving much in the rankings.
Chaos Knights
Like their Daemon allies, Chaos Knights also have solid all around stats. But they're still only using their Brigands and Karnivores. Though the top list for them at WCW did take a Lancer! They just got a new detachment, but I'm not sure that will be enough to really see big Knights hitting the tables.
But here's an interesting buff! Chaos Knights now just get their Dread Abilities! No more having to wait until battle round 3 to be at full power. This probably won't get bigger knights on the field, but it's still nice to have. The question is if they're going to have to pay for this in any way. Also, with this new version of the army rule, Traitor's Mark doesn't work anymore. It now lets you force a Battle-shock test in your Movement phase.
We saw some changes to wording in the Grotmas detachments, and it looks like this has been carried to the Chaos Knights Index. This new phrasing, while a little lawyery, makes it clear when and how these abilities work.
In the MFM, it doesn't look like big Knights are getting any love. Other than Lord of Dread going down in cost, GW hasn't given them any further buffs. Instead, GW is buffing the War Dogs that don't get taken. Executioners are down 10 pts, and Huntsmen and Stalkers are down 5 pts. Since Chaos Knights are already pretty solid (other than their list diversity) and meta menaces are getting hit pretty hard, this is all good news.
Chaos Space Marines
CSM is a popular faction that has a few really good players that make them work. But on the whole, they're still struggling. And it's not just on competitive tables, their internal balance is way off too. Most of their datasheets don't really see any play, and most of their detachment aren't doing well, if anyone even touches them. It's all Fellhammer, Renegade Raiders, and Pactbound Zealots. And those last two really struggle. Though they're a faction that does have a mad lad that runs cult lists.
First we check the stratagems. Veterans has Contemptuous Disregard and Renegades has Unfailingly Obdurate. Both of these are nerfed. Dread Talons Screaming Descent is a little more complicated, so it gets its own section of the Dataslate. But no one is playing Dread Talons, so that's not particularly meaningful. The Predator Annihilator gets a little buff though. You can now just re-roll the Damage roll. So if you want to gamble on 2s and 3s, you totally can.
The MFM has shocking little. Bikers now have split costs, with the 6 man going down 10 pts. This is pretty bad. While CSM will benefit from seeing the factions above them take hits, this isn't going to move the needle much for them.
Death Guard
The Sons of Mortarion are doing well these days. They're definitely not a meta bogeyman, but they seem to have what it takes to get to top tables and win. They aren't using a lot of their index these days though. It seem no points cuts will make Death Guard players take Blightlords.
But this seems to be the month Death Guard get movement buffs. In addition to having their Predator Annihilator get the same ability as the default Chaos Annihilator, Mortarion now has Deep Strike. One of the hardest to kill block of stats in the game now just gets to show up 9” away from you.
The Index has been updated to reflect these changes, and the errata has also been update to further clarify how control and Spread the Sickness works. And despite Mortarion's new ability, there are no points changes for his legion. This is nothing but good news for the Death Guard! With a shiny new detachment and other factions losing power, Death Guard is in a great position to take advantage of it.
Thousand Sons
You just can't keep a good dust filled suit of animated armour down! While they initially sunk deep after the nerfs, KSons players have found a way to get back to solid overall stats. Still the main problem with the faction hasn't changed. The question is when and how GW will fix it.
It's not happening today. All that KSons are getting in the Dataslate and new Index is the buffed Predator. We'll have to see if they get any MFM changes, but it wouldn't surprise me if GW is cautious here, or even nerfs than further.
And caution is the order of the day! There's nothing in the MFM! So I've got good news and bad news! The good news is you can keep playing the same army you've been playing since October!
That's also the bad news.
World Eaters
The angriest warbands also have solid stats. However, they seem to have a similar problem to Votann in that the good World Eaters list seems pretty solved. This is especially bad considering how many more Datasheet World Eaters have that aren't seeing play. I think this can probably be fixed by a Codex though. Still, it would be nice if they got some love besides whatever the Red Gobbo has in his sack.
The only Dataslate change they're getting is technically a nerf. Daemon princes now specify that a model has to have a 5+ Invuln to get boosted to a 4+. I don't think this actually effects anything you can take in a World Eaters list, and you can't ally a World Eaters Daemon prince in with anyone. But I guess this does provide some future proofing. The new Index doesn't have anything else.
The MFM is silent too! So just like your rival Sons of Magnus, Angron's sons get to keep trucking along. Again, this isn't all bad since three top armies took a beating. But I'm sure you could have used a reason to bring out more of your units.
