neat idea for a new Ciaphas Cain-style set of funny 40K novels. we follow the life and trials of Sister Rosaria, a hardened veteran of the sisters of battle that (while still steadfast in her faith) is completely and utterly done with this shit. she drinks, swears, and fucks like a voidsman on shore leave while killing heretics in the Emprah's holy name. other sisters hate her lack of grace and irreverence but she's got too many accomplishments under her wimple for them to actually do anything to her.

this is the kind of woman that will one day become a Saint and proceed to kick the ass of the person who nominated her for it.

Sisters can perform miracles sometimes. What's a little nurgle rot to some drunken faith?

Was looking forward to painting these guys, but Fine Cast, WT*! That stuff is awful! Not only is it terrible to assemble the minis made from this.... 💩 But painting on the surface is more work as well. Happy to see the back of painting these. Annoyingly, the next 4 minis are Fine Cast as well 😤😮‍💨😢😭

I saw a couple of drawings of Angel Dust as an Emperor's Children Chaos Space Marine so I had to draw Lute as a Sister of Battle to match him. It fits them so much !!

I was reading some mouthwashing fanfics and , this happened. Yeah let's go tactical nun Anya make Jimbo into a servo that only opens doors. Curly shall just be a regular servo.

I hate the incel debate against female space marines. Former artists from GW have already confirmed that in the past it's solely been a sales decision that they didn't make any, and that was in the 80s and 90s.

(For context, I see the arguments popping up again now that Space Marines 2 is a few weeks away, usually in the comments on tik tok).

There are many lore reasons that already exist to work them in. And you wanna know a secret? If the 8 foot tall post human warrior is wearing a helmet, you'd have no idea. Good, practical armor is sexless. And all space marines are extensively modified anyway. The only real difference would be hair preferences culturally speaking, and maybe, MAYBE, some facial differences. Otherwise? All space marines would be built like a strongman competitor cranked up to eleven.

Maybe just let us have this one extra customization? It wouldn't even change gameplay, it'd be akin to using a different skin in Overwatch. It's just flavor.

For the minis, you could even use pre-existing parts from Age of Sigmars Stormcast Eternals.

And for the counter argument of "why not let Sisters of battle have men then". Okay. Let's do it. They could be men that take an oath of celibacy like monks, and are legally recognized as women after their oaths. Kind of like the Qunari Military, any sex can be a soldier, but the position of soldier is considered masculine to the Qunari. Do that in reverse, everyone is a sister of battle, including boob chest plates, because the role is feminine.

What I'm saying is, femboy sisters of battle.

I will express my personal opinion about the design of the Sisters of Battle armor. The problem is, it's not just steel plate armor, it's power armor. Under the layer of armor (even if it's thin) is a frame (on which the armor plates are attached) and artificial muscles that set the armor in motion and give the wearer superhuman strength. In other words, it should look like a Crysis nano-suit with armor on top of it. Therefore, the power armor of Sisters of Battle cannot be thin and tight to the body like a latex dominatrix suit with high heels. But in most cases, it is portrayed as such, because it's canon of GW.

If we talk about chest armor - it's all about preferences. Personally, it seems to me that the option with a single chest protrusion is more acceptable than the division into chest # 1 and chest # 2. More space for frame and artificial muscles.

In conclusion, I will say this - if I want to look at imperial women in tight clothes, then I will enjoy looking at assassins from the Officio Assassinorum. Or maybe Repentia sisters, they generally fight half-naked. Let power armor be power armor. One that gives the feeling that with one blow of a steel sabaton they can send you flying for five meters or tear off your head with a sharp movement of one hand. --- My DeviantArt My Boosty
