Spirit blessed Zuko ideas bc now he's living in my head rent free

- Agni is actually a spirit in this AU bc I was devastated to learn that she does not, in fact, exist in canon

- Zuko was born Agni's favorite, born on the summer solstice at noon, Agni wished to give him many a gifts at his birth but was only allowed one so she gave him a kind heart in hopes it would heal her nation

- at 13 Zuko is banished and his bearly healed wound is infected, almost killing him prematurely

- Iroh prayed to Agni to save his nephew, she obliged, taking this opportunity to bestow him with gifts she couldn't at his birth.

- Zuko's scar tissue turned from melted skin to firey red scales, his hair from a brown deeper than dark chocolate to yellow so warm it looked like liquid gold, and his eyes from golden brown to the pure gold of a dragon's. He radiated light, just like the sun. And his fire turned from an almost solitary orange to a rainbow of colors refracting in the light.

- Sokka thinks Zuko will turn into the sun (he will not)

- Zuko spends like half of season one trying to convince the Gaang that he's there to teach Aang fire bending, not capture him a take him to the Fire Nation

Ok but sometimes in The Princess Royal it's so fucking funny to think about how the rest of the capital are viewing them. In ep 17 everyone thinks it's all over for the princess, in house arrest in a temple copying texts and about to get banished to her country estate for eternity, and the noble houses put on hit on her too ambitious husband. Servants gossip is she's in denial about his death! How tragic.

In reality she was like, yeah and THEN the next part of our 65 step plan is that I'll take myself off the board and lower their guard by doing some shit to get me on house arrest. And in court I'll suggest some other punishments that'll get waived, so I can take down that asshole in Ministry of Justice with me. 💁 Then you dodge the inevitable murder attempts and come back with the evidence. Done & done. ✔

And instead of losing her mind about her dead husband, she really has a point that this old demon Pei Wenxuan has survived way worse and isn't gonna be taken out like that. 🙅

(not that she isn't legit worried and writing pining unsent letters to him, because she misses him constantly. BECAUSE SHE IS and it's awesome.)

From chapter 2 of One Word From You. (Read chapter 1 here if you missed it!) If I don't post by Friday then it will have to wait until September as I'm going on vacation.

Eager to put off another fruitless conversation with his mother for as long as possible, Wille turned back to his computer again and reopened the browser. He hadn’t been looking at anything inappropriate – just the website of the Royal College of Music, where he was reading the curriculum for the Bachelor’s programme in Composition. 

Because he knew now that this was what Simon was studying. Composition at the Royal College of Music right here in Stockholm. That was one of the precious crumbs of information he’d learned from Sara. Simon was in his final year and the best in his class. (Sara never said the last part, but Wille had no doubt it was true.) It was probably a bit pathetic, poring over Simon’s study programme just to feel a little closer to him, but it didn’t hurt anyone and it made something warm flutter pleasantly in Wille’s chest when he imagined Simon sitting in his Music Analysis class, brow furrowed in concentration, so why shouldn’t he?

After years of knowing nothing about Simon other than that his phone number was no longer in service, it felt so good to finally know something, to have at least a vague idea of what his life was like. Wille had based the better part of his will to keep going on the hope that somewhere out there, Simon was happy, and this was the first indication he’d got that that hope wasn’t baseless. Simon was doing well, studying his favourite subject and developing his talents. Wille held that little nugget of knowledge close to his heart like the treasure it was, even though, objectively, it wasn’t much.

What is revelation's endgame here? I understand he is creating a cult and probably looking for vengeance but does he have enough people to defeat even a single somewhat big wyrm? Or IS he doing something else entirely with those ppl?

At the moment it's just going on a revenge march to some of its old colleagues (the wyrms who swore in court that ending the world was all rev's idea) to pick a fight. The issue is that it's population density that draws crawling beasts, so wyrms rely on their towns and congregations to act as bait in their metaphorical spiderwebs. A big battle between cultists and villagers would harm both wyrms, while drawing massive floods of crawling beasts so instead it's going to fight the wyrms directly. They are usually protected by their townsfolk but hey, there's a shiny new cult in town with their golden calf. If you have no qualms about using magic you can easily bind more people to your bidding. And then everyone can just go, march away.... leaving an injured wyrm dead or starving

I don't think there's a coldly defined endgame, I think it's a series of "we'll cross that bridge when we get there"s and choices made in passion. Revelation never thought it would leave its own tomb, let alone recover enough to go anywhere. So the first time it took a fight to a wyrm was an impulse, but it worked, so it happened again and again. The marching procession across the land began to grow into an army. I think the endgame is just "make them pay"
