day 14 of @radiomogai’s 1k coining event, ‘the web’! there wasn't a web neogender umbrella, so i figured why not coin one? i'll post flags for wvin(gender), transwev, and netaeic soon!

the term (and derived terms) comes from 'weven' (middle english for 'to weave'), 'araneae' (order made up of spiders), and 'marionette'.

the flag is supposed to sort of look like a spiderweb without having a ton of tiny lines everywhere, since i didn't want it to be super cluttered, and uses colors i associate with the web and its connected concepts. here's the template if anyone wants to coin webens!

the symbol is a spiderweb with a spiral on the inside to represent manipulation of the mind! here's the symbol by itself:

Rane Pallas; college-dropout, monster hunter, and cursed swordswoman

My baby finally has a ref sheet! It only took... 2 years to draw this! Rane is the first D&D5e character I made by myself and she holds a very special place in my heart. She is a hexblade warlock who made a deal with the creature known as Leshrun, an unknown entity within a rapier, which is the legendary sword of the Swords Coast. Rane was drawn to find Leshrun, although she does not know why.

Leshrun cursed Rane as part of their deal, trying to slowly corrupt her and take her body for reasons she does not know. And after adventuring with Leshrun for many years, Rane furthered her deal, swearing to become his paladin as well. Rane's curse does not spread with time, but with her actions. When her actions align with Leshrun's twisted desires, which often involve crime, deception, and greed, the mark with grow. As her curse grows, it effects Rane's psyche as well, aligning her thoughts closer to that of Leshrun's. Leshrun actively talks to her in her head, so her thoughts are almost never her own. The two have an odd almost sibling-like relationship.

Rane is proud, vain, charismatic, and compassionate. She lives to protect the innocent and to vanquish evil. Despite this, she is also naive to a fault, a bit unlucky, and tends to get stuck in sticky situations.

I have more information of her on her toyhouse but it is currently being re-vamped so not all the information on it is accurate.
