It’s easy to think of Gmail’s labels system as a glorified filing cabinet for your inbox—but if you’re treating labels strictly as folders, you’re missing out on some of their most powerful possibilities.
Gmail labels, for the uninitiated, are a series of custom text markers that can be assigned to your Gmail messages. You might mark all invoices with a label called “Expenses,” for instance, or mark all emails related to a particular work project with a label containing its name. Any such messages will then be grouped together in Gmail’s main menu for future reference and discovery.
That’s all fine and dandy, but where labels’ unexpected value comes into play is in their ability to control precisely how messages are handled when they hit your inbox. With a few minutes of setup, in fact, you can create a custom high-priority label that limits your notifications only to pressing messages and gives your most important emails a distinctive, eye-catching appearance. This is some next-level email management—and, yes, it has the potential to change your relationship to email for the better.
Let me explain.
Reframing the label
The first step to stepping up your Gmail labels game is to think about what exactly you’d like to accomplish. How could your inbox better serve you? What types of messages do you need to stand out? What sets your truly important emails apart from the rest?
Once you figure out those answers, you can use Gmail labels to eliminate unnecessary interruptions from your inbox while simultaneously making it easier to notice the messages that matter. It’s a significant upgrade from Gmail’s built-in system for identifying important messages and treating them accordingly—because frankly, that system isn’t very effective. It tends to result in far too many unnecessary notifications, for one, and its marking method creates a lot of clutter you’re bound to ignore over time.
Here’s how to set up labels to do it better: First, you’ll want to create a Gmail filter that automatically applies a “VIP” label to any incoming emails that meet certain criteria—those factors we were talking about a second ago that consistently set your important emails apart. The messages might need to come from specific high-priority senders or domain names; they might need to be addressed to a specific address that you designate for timely missives (maybe using this handy trick); or they might need to contain a specific word or phrase in their subject line that lets you know they’re time-sensitive.
All that’s left is to implement the crowning part of this setup—the custom and noise-eliminating notifications.
Enlightening your email notifications
This final piece of the puzzle will work on any Windows PC, Mac, Chromebook, Linux computer, or Android phone. Apple’s iOS, unfortunately, doesn’t support the granular form of notification customization needed for it to function (sorry, iPhone fans!).
On a desktop computer:
Disable Gmail’s native notifications by opening the site’s settings, scrolling down to “Desktop notifications” (in the “General” section), and selecting “Mail notifications off.”
Install the third-party Checker Plus for Gmail extension in your desktop browser. It’s available for both Chrome and Firefox, has 1.2 million users and a nearly five-star rating in Google’s Web Store, and does not store or share any sort of personal data.
Click the button that appears to configure the extension. Select the “Accounts/Labels” tab in the configuration screen, uncheck “Inbox” under the “System labels” header, and check “VIP” under the “Labels” header.
If you’re using Chrome and want your VIP notifications to pop up even when you don’t have your browser open, click over to the “Notifications” section of the extension’s settings and check the box next to the “Run in background when Google Chrome is closed” option. (That option isn’t available on Firefox.) You can also customize exactly how the notifications look and work via the other options in that same section.
On Android, meanwhile:
Open the Gmail app on your phone.
Tap the three-line menu icon in the app’s upper-left corner, then scroll all the way down the main menu and tap “Settings.”
Tap the name of your Gmail account, then tap “Notifications” and make sure the option is set to “All.”
Tap “Inbox notifications” and make sure the box next to “Label notifications” is unchecked.
Next, tap “Manage labels” and find your “VIP” label in the list. Tap it, make sure its “Sync messages” option is set to “Last 30 days,” and make sure both “Label notifications” and “Notify for every message” are checked.
Look through the rest of the labels in the list—any labels for which you don’t want to receive notifications—and make sure those same boxes are unchecked for all of them.
The sky’s the limit with this, and you don’t have to stop with just a single “VIP” designation. Follow the same steps for any other superpowered labels you want to create—and watch your email efficiency soar.

Reasons to end the monarchy: Charles Edition
Well it's the coronation so you know what it's time for.
The entire concept of a monarchy is actively undemocratic. The head of state should not be someone who is only in that position because they were born into a certain family.
Having a monarchy upholds classism as a specific family of great wealth and power are viewed as superior to others.
They stand for a history of racism and imperialism. This country has done some truly terrible things in its history and the monarchy are a symbol of that. In order to attempt to begin to undo the harm that we have done, we need to remove this symbol of oppression.
The royal family have previously lobbied the government to hide their own personal wealth. Despite this, we are obviously aware that they have a large amount of wealth.
Prince Charles has himself lobbied the government on a number of occasions. His 'black spider memos' show that he has repeatedly pressured ministers on a wide range of topics from the Iraq war to badger culling to alternative therapies. He has used his power to lobby the government on subjects that would affect him.
The monarch does not occupy a ceremonial role as is frequently claimed. Ministers and civil servants have to consult the monarch. Civil servants have to get the consent of the royals on pieces of legislation, which can cause delays on implementation.
Even if the monarch did occupy a purely ceremonial role, as a literal billionaire he wields a ridiculously high amount of power over people.
Windsor Castle brings in less money than Windsor Legoland does. The many castles that are owned by the royal family could be used to create spaces for the public to enjoy or to be used as a shelter for the homeless. The Louvre in Paris used to be house of the French monarchy and gets over twenty times the tourists. Edinburgh castle hasn't had the monarchy live in it for centuries and yet still brings in tourism.
Prince Andrew is widely known to be connected to Jeffrey Epstein; yet he has not had to face any repercussions for his actions despite blatantly lying when being asked about his actions. The royal family have defended him and prevented him from facing the consequences of his actions.
They cost around £334 million per year. This money could be used to help the poor, given to the NHS, to repair and build infrastructure, to support small businesses that are struggling, pretty much anything.
The royal household publishes a much lower figure about the cost of the royal family, so they are actively trying to cover up their cost.
Charles has had access to confidential Cabinet papers, undermining our democracy.
He has publicly championed alternative medicine and has repeatedly promoted it. He sent at least seven letters to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, that then shortly relaxed the rules governing the labeling of herbal products, ones he as part of Charles's Duchy Originals produces.
He lobbied the health secretary regarding greater provision of alternative treatments on the NHS.
In 2018, 46% of Britons wanted him to abdicate immediately after Elizabeth died. He’s barely wanted by the country even with the sheer amount of pro-monarchy propaganda going around. Charles specifically is very unpopular.
In order to speak to him, broadcasters had to sign a 15-page contract, which includes Clarence house attending the rough and fine cut edits of films and if unhappy can remove that contribution, as well as stipulating that all questions directed at him must be pre-approved and vetted by his representative.
His personal wealth is £1.8 billion. He inherited a large amount of this from Elizabeth, with it being exempt from inheritance tax. Having an immunity from this tax when others don’t is ridiculous.
The Duchy of Cornwall was named in the Paradise papers.
The coronation is going to cost £100 million during a cost of living crisis.
People have been banned from protesting Charles with official warning letters were sent to anti-monarchists.
Protestors who block roads, airports and railways could face an entire year behind bars. Locking yourself to others, objects or buildings could go to prison for six months and face an unlimited fine. Police are allowed to head off disruption by stopping and searching protestors that they suspect.
The public were encouraged to swear allegiance to the new King when he gets sworn in, this is a deeply disturbing suggestion.
He's a billionaire who's going to use the public's money to celebrate himself.
The monarch has sweeping immunity from many laws
He owns business parks and small rented cottages, six of the ten top residential homes, 285,000 acres of mineral rich land. He’s ridiculously rich in a country where so many people are facing extreme poverty.
#uk politics#british royal family#fuck the monarchy#imperialism#royals#king charles III#may he end up like the first

Not Just Friends - 1 -
Prologue : Next Part : Not edited : 3.6k words : M.List
Childhood best friends turned into something more, at least with the label. Katsuki Bakugo, a fast-rising hero and fast-learning guy who is ever so slow in getting attached to and loving someone. Even three long years into a relationship, and your friends even forget you're even dating. Nothing happening, spare a few kisses.. like 3 kisses, during high school. Graduated and living together, and you guys have done absolutely nothing to further the relationship. Are you sure you're not just friends? CW: Smut, brief domestic violence discussion, virginity loss, aggressive flirting from creeps, gore with pro hero stuff (lmk if i missed any) Applies to all chapters regardless of it is in said chapter.
"How was work?" You asked, putting your coffee cup filled with tea down on the coffee table aside from the couch. Not looking up from the chapter book that rested in your hands.
A sigh was all that left his lips as you heard him kick his boots off and hang his keys next to the door.
"That bad?" you asked, looking up at the ash blonde who was now rubbing his face roughly as he made his way over to the couch you were laid across. He hummed in response. With you laid across the couch, back rested against the armrest, you pulled your feet in to make room for him. He sat down roughly, instantly sinking all of his weight into the couch. He looked at you briefly, "You don't gotta do that y'know?"
"Do what?" you peered at him confused. He just rolled his eyes lazily and grabbed your legs to stretch them out again, placing them over his lap. He didn't look back at you, just closed his eyes and leaned his head back, resting his hands on your calves. It was hard to mask the surprise on your face, normally after a rough day he would take a shower and prefer to be alone for the night, maybe making dinner for the two of you and watching a show. Yet he hardly ever asked for physical touch.
"Do you want to watch a show?" you asked, trying to determine the type of help he wanted.
He sat silent for a moment, "How was your day?" He leaned his head to the side, looking at you.
You fought over the questions that came up, confused about why he chose you as a topic. But you chose against bringing them up, "Just did some quick testing for new equipment, I'm about to be finished with your new gloves too. They just finished the first stage of testing," you smiled, hoping the good news would make him happy. After all, he asked for new gloves close to a month ago.
He just stared at your face for a while before you realized he wanted you to continue. The words caught in your mouth as you analyzed the look on his face for a moment. Thinking that maybe this was the 'look' your close friends always talked about. The face that showed how truly in love he was with you.
"I also finished Z's stuff," Izuku, "so today was a productive day. Yet it was easy too, all I really needed to do was your stuff and his. After that it was just paperwork," you added on. Picking up the throw pillow on the couch and placing it in your lap to play with the tassels on the edges. Avoiding the overwhelming look he was giving you. "Came home only an hour ago, showered, and picked up my book," you looked down at the book that was placed on the couch beside you, where you placed it when Katsuki sat down.
You normally came home an hour before him. He always sent you a text saying he'd be home soon, so you packed up from work and headed home after receiving it. It was one of the best perks about being head of your technical support department. It maximized your time with him. Leaving the house shortly after him every day, and coming home only an hour before him. Kept you productive and caught up at work every day, never stressing about due dates because of how often you were at work.
"That's nice," Katsuki finally spoke, eyes soft as he looked over every feature on your face. When you looked up you saw the dark circles that surrounded his eyes.
"How was your day?" You asked softly, trying to tell him he didn't need to answer.
He squeezed your calf, looking away from you for the first time since he sat down. "Rough," he said, voice slightly cracked.
"What happened?" you pushed.
He sighed, "A young couple was caught in a bad villain attack, she didn't make it."
Katsuki always took deaths hard, as any hero did. He saw himself as a complete failure after every death. It's only happened personally to him a couple of times and he always took it just as roughly. Often following you around the apartment after getting home, gluing himself to your presences.
No words would help him. All you could think of was trying to console him in any way possible. So you got up from your spot, shifting your body so you could lean your head against his shoulder. Feeling him instantly rest his head against yours. You fumbled for the TV remote, putting on one of his favorite movies before you fully rested against him. Wrapping your arms around his, hugging him close.
Moments like this were far and in between for the two of you. You hardly hugged, only on the bad or good days. But despite that, he still felt like home. You wished this would be the daily but were okay to settle for what he was okay with. Never wanting to push him too far.
This.
This was your normal for the bad days. The good days just had a celebratory hug and that was it.
-
A couple of days passed and you were out with friends. With you forcing Katsuki to come out as well. After all, the group has been inviting him for the past six months. Izuku, Uraraka, Todoroki, Tsuu, Ida, Momo, Mei and her friend Nana were all there. All of you were sat in Izuku's living room. Izuku was across the coffee table from you, seated in a matching lounge chair as the one Katsuki was in behind you. You opting to sit on the floor in front of Katsuki, wanting to be closer to the girls who also chose to sit on the floor. Uraraka seated in front of Izuku, Mei, and Nana seated in front of the TV but facing the group, Todoroki, Ida, and Momo all sat on the couch, and Tsuu was on the floor beside you.
The conversation naturally divided, the boys choosing to talk about the new ranks and techniques they've learned and the girls talking about whatever. You shifted focus between the two conversations, keeping track of the hero equipment the boys might need. You were deeply invested in the rant Izuku fell into about how he'd need new gloves to combat his new move.
Your attention was snapped to the girls when your name was called out. All of them awaiting your response. "Sorry, wasn't paying attention," you blinked at them.
"Oh, Nana was just talking about her relationship problems, and you're in one right?" Mei asked, helping Nana out since this was the first time she's hung out with the group and she was rather shy.
You furrowed your brows, "Yeah? Whatsup?" After all, they did just ask if you were in a relationship right in front of your boyfriend. Maybe Mei was filling Nana in.
"So," Nana started, messing with her hands, "my partner is um, sorry I don't know how to explain it well." Mei shot Nana a smile, nodding at her to go ahead. She took a deep breath, "So, my love language is physical touch and they aren't very strong on it. And I just don't know what to do, like should I try to work it out or is the relationship dead? I've had a relationship like this before and it died off fast."
"I say it's dead," Mei added. Uraraka and Tsuu nodding in agreement as well.
Momo sighed, "I think communication is needed first, then decided. Try to work around it first."
You looked between the girls, "I agree with Momo, not trying doesn't solve anything. Plus if you could work around it with your second strongest love language, I think it could still work, if they really couldn't meet halfway with physical touch."
"What do you mean?" Nana tilted her head at you, and all of the girl's eyes shifted to you.
You flushed, "Well for me, like in my relationship," you cringed at the idea of bluntly talking about it right in front of him. Hopefully, Izuku's ramble would keep him from paying attention. "My biggest love language is physical touch, but he doesn't quite like it so there isn't a lot of it. So," you struggled to find the words to properly explain how your relationship was working, "My second favorite is quality time, I guess, and we spend a lot of time together. The other three are also up there, He often cooks for me and stuff, buying me random things too. And our relationship works just fine," you shrugged.
Mei frowned at you, "How are you still with him if he doesn't do your favorite thing?" disgust listed in her voice.
"Well I'm okay with whatever he is okay with," you brushed off her disdain.
"I don't know how you do it either," Tsuu agreed.
"Nana, maybe you shouldn't listen to her," Mei shrugged, "A relationship won't work long-term if that's how you go about it. Maybe just talk to them first but if they can't meet halfway leave."
"Yeah," Nana looked around shyly, giving you a sympathetic smile.
You leaned back into Katsuki's chair, giving up on the conversation as the girls carried it away. Only then did you notice that Katsuki was tapping his foot aggressively. When you looked up at the blonde, his hands were clenched and folded into his chest as he stared straight ahead with a frown.
He was clearly done with the group outing.
You stood up, gaining the eyes of everyone in the room. "Kats and I are going to head out," you announced. Walking over to grab his and your coat. Katsuki getting up as well to meet you at the door.
"Oh lemme walk you out," Izuku jumped up, walking to you guys as the rest waved and said their goodbyes from their seats.
Izuku walked the both of you to the elevator, "You're leaving earlier than normal, everything okay?" Izuku whispered to you.
"You know Kats doesn't like outings," you smiled at him, "Nothing to worry about." Izuku eyed you, knowing what you said wasn't entirely true.
Izuku stood straight up, having leaned down to talk to you, once you reached the elevator. "I'm glad you made it this time Kacchan," Izuku beamed.
Katsuki grumbled in reply, facing away and walking into the opened elevator.
The lack of a 'shut up' confused the both of you. So you turned to huge Izuku goodbye, taking the green-haired boy out of shock. "Nice seeing you 'Z, I'll start working on your new gloves," you smiled.
"Thank you, I'll text you everything I want added," he smiled, "Goodnight!" He waved goodbye before walking back to his door. You turned around to a grumpy Katsuki holding the elevator door open for you.
"Sorry," you mumbled, quickly stepping inside. When the door closed you took the chance to question his, "Whatsup?"
"Nothing," he crossed his arms again.
"Come on Kats," you crossed your arms as well.
He sighed, "Your love language really physical touch?" he looked at you briefly, allowing you to see the embarrassment that coated his cheeks.
You paled at the realization he heard the entire conversation, "Yeah," you admitted, "not a requirement for me though."
He just let out a louder sigh and brought his hands to his face, rubbing his eyes aggressively.
"Kats?"
"What?" he grumbled.
"You okay?" you leaned closer to him, trying to see his face.
"Yeah," he dropped his hands, and stared at the number above the door, watching it tick to the ground floor.
"No you're not-," you tried, being interrupted by the elevator door opening, Katsuki rushing to the parking garage to leave.
Abruptly ending the conversation.
-
The drive home he blasted the radio, not giving you the option to turn it down and talk. Rushing inside your apartment as well. Quickly hiding himself in his room. You turned around with a scoff when he shut the door right in your face, going to your room for the night as well.
The next morning he left without a goodbye, all you heard from him was the front door shutting behind him.
Throughout the work day, he also ignored your messages. Leaving you alone for lunch rather than sharing it with you like he normally did. Not even texting you when he'd be home. The only thing you got from him was his calendar update, which wasn't even intentional. Seeing how he had moved his meetings for the day to fit in a meeting with Izuku last minute for the day.
So without any notice from him, you headed home near 6 in the afternoon. Which was normally the time you came home, so he should be home in an hour. Taking your shoes and coat off when you entered the apartment. Putting your keys away as well. Walking down the hall to your bedroom. Running into the ash blonde leaving his.
He paused for a minute, hand left on his doorknob as he looked at you. You crossed your arms impatiently, for one he was in the way of your bedroom and he also ignored you for the past day. He shut his door eventually, still blocking the hallway.
"Sorry," he muttered.
You drop your arms to your side, "Why?"
"Just felt weird," he mumbled, looking down at your shoes.
"Not going to tell me?" you furrowed your brows. He stayed silent. "Fine," you sighed, "Could you move? I want to shower, I'll be in the living room soon."
He stepped out of the way, moving to the side of the small hallway.
So you did just as you said. Walking into your room to grab clothes then going straight to the shower. Washing the day away as you washed your hair. Thinking over Katsuki's behavior since last night. And his reluctance to talk about it.
When you got out of the shower and dressed, you walked to the living room.
Katsuki was busy cooking, chopping vegetables, and dropping them into the pan. Adding meats and sauces as well. His brows were furrowed and his nose was scrunched. His thinking face. He was in his own world. Breaking out of it when you opened the fridge to grab a drink.
"'M makin' curry, keepin' the spices separate, don't worry," he grumbled over his shoulder.
He was going to play off his behavior like it was normal.
"Okay," you spoke, making your way to sit on the stool placed on the side of the island, seated right in front of him. You took a drink of your drink, "So you had a meeting with Z today?"
His knife paused for a moment, hovering over the carrot he was cutting. He glanced up, "Huh?"
"Your calendar?" you hinted, " I saw that you arranged a meeting with him last second. What did you need to talk about with him?"
He looked back down, "Nothin," he resumed cutting. You shot him a glare. One that, with so much time spent together, he could feel it without even looking. His shoulders sagged, giving in, "Just went over some tactics. I also went to him about a, um," he coughed lightly, "A support item in a way."
You perked up, filled with questions, "How come you didn't come to me?"
"I was askin' him if I should, was trying to see if it was even a good idea," he shrugged.
"What is it?" you crossed your arms, placing your forearms on the counter and leaning on them.
He finished chopping the vegetables, scooping them all into a pot, and letting it simmer. He turned back to you, leaning onto the counter. "So you know how I keep breaking the watches you buy me?"
"Yeah?" you questioned, not knowing how this involved work.
"Well, could you make me one?" he looked at your face. You were waiting for him to continue. "Like make it fireproof, waterproof-"
"Youproof?" you smiled, summing up what he was going to say.
"Yeah," he sighed in relief, glad he didn't have to explain every detail. "But I want one more thing added to it if you can."
"Kats, I can do literally everything," you smiled cockily.
"Can you make it disable my quirk?" he looked down at his hands.
"Why?"
"Just nice to be relaxed without it, can also help with my training. Then could you also make it so no one can try to cancel my quirk? All these quirk-removing things nowadays," he fumbled with his hands, mumbling out his words.
"Probably, I can definitely make it cancel your quirk, but making no one able to cancel yours, will be a bit hard. I'll make it combat most," you suggested.
"Okay," he sighed before looking at you, putting a finger in your face, " Also make it so only I can make it cancel my quirk. Like, put a password or some shit on it."
"Trust me, I was going to anyways," you laughed.
"Good," he grunted, turning back to the food on the stove.
"How come you needed Z for that?" you asked after a bit.
"Didn't know if it'd kill me or something," he shrugged. You wished you could have seen his face but his back was facing you.
"Also, Kats," you called. He turned to face you, "Answer my texts next time, hard to tell if you're alive or not," you frowned.
"Sorry," he mumbled, looking back to his food.
The conversation died at that, switching to him talking about what he was cooking. Filling up the silence with meaningless words and the scraping of food being placed in a bowl for you.
He placed a bowl in front of you and sat beside you. You could have eaten at the table but walking didn't seem like something you wanted to do, despite it only being a couple of steps away. Shaking your head when he asked if you wanted to eat at the table.
After a few bites of food and small talk about the other day, your phone buzzed. Face up on the table between you two. Lighting up with an unknown number
xxx-xxxx
Hey! This is Nana from last night. I got your number from Mei, I apologize if you don't appreciate that-
You opened your phone to read the rest, leaving it on the table as you continued to eat.
xxx-xxxx
Hey! This is Nana from last night. I got your number from Mei, I apologize if you don't appreciate that but I felt the need to text you. I saw how uncomfortable you were last night, talking about your boyfriend. And how he doesn't like touching you. I hope you know it's okay, and people are there for you. I was in a relationship like that once, and it was hard but it ended and I'm okay now. I remember how uncomfortable I was talking about him, making up excuses for how our relationship worked. How he refused to touch me, unless it was.. harshly, for lack of a better word, and degraded me. Reminded me of how you were talking about your boyfriend. Just know I'm here for you, and you're beautiful and strong.
You read over the text a couple of times, trying to make sure you understood what she was saying. After you were one hundred percent sure, you looked up from your phone, glancing at Katsuki, who was staring at your phone like he wanted to kill it. Holding his spoon like it shot his foot.
"She thinks I fuckin' beat you or somethin'?" He looked at you.
You looked back down at your phone, "Think so."
"The fuck?" he put his spoon back into his bowl roughly, "The fuck did I do?"
"I don't think she realized I was dating you," you defend.
"Still? How in the hell?" he glared at your phone, "Just cause we don't touch a shit ton that means I fuckin' beat you?"
"Kats-" you reached a hand out towards him.
"No," he stood up, "That's fucking bullshit. It's not that bad that we don't, right?" He looked at you "Right?"
"Right," you confirmed, "She misread the situation that's all. Now eat," you pointed to his food. "I'll let her know she was wrong, and that we are fine and happy."
"Are we?" he asked, voice soft. You looked at him, the words stabbing at your heart. "Are you?" he reworded, voice on edge.
"Katsuki, what?" you looked at his eyes. He looked lost. "Katsuki," you spoke softly, "Of course I am, I'm with the best. Why wouldn't I be?"
He brought his hands to his face, rubbing at his face as he always did. "Okay, just," he grumbled, "Fuck, I don't know." He went quiet, sitting down and finishing his bowl of curry before washing his empty dish, and taking yours when you were done.
He was overwhelmed and frustrated, so you stayed quiet as well. Texting Nana back instead.
-You-
Hi! I appreciate this but the situation was completely misread. I was just uncomfortable because he was sitting right behind me. The ash blonde, number two hero Dynamight. Felt weird talking about my relationship with him right there. I'm very happy with him, so nothing bad is happening. Thank you for your concern, and I'm glad you got out of that bad relationship. I hope your new partner fixes their behavior.
Nana
I am so sorry then. I had no idea! I shouldn't have assumed. I should have asked a bit more about it before I jumped straight to that conclusion, I am so sorry!
"I texted her," you told Katsuki, "She feels bad and had no idea I was dating you."
He grunted in reply, walking on scrubbing the dish in his hands. "When can you get my watch done?" he switched topics.
"Maybe a month, with the whole people can't cancel your quirk," you shrugged, "Could you write me everything you want added to it?"
"Yeah," he mumbled, "I'll leave a note on the counter for you tomorrow."
-Next Part-
In them m.list of this fic comment if you want to be added into a tag list <3
I'll no longer add people to the taglist if they haven't commented there. It's too much to keep up with all the new part. Hope you understand <3

Dead Man's Dust
Intent: For preventing spirits from following you home.
Ingredients:
1 pt Chili Pepper (any type)
1 pt Salt
1 pt Basil
1 pt Garlic Powder
1⁄2 pt Dill
1⁄2 pt Lemon Peel
Optional: Add a pinch of Curry or Cumin for extra oomph.
Note: Powdered versions of most herbs are available online. I recommend Starwest Botanicals and Penn Herbs for quality products at reasonable prices. Also, if you can get your hands on a good electric spice grinder, you can make your own powder from dried herb products. If you don't have premade powdered herbs, grind each ingredient separately to produce fine powder. Sieve the material through the mesh strainer into the collection dish; this removes the larger unground pieces and gives you cleaner powdered herb. (Pro-Tip: Putting a funnel under the mesh strainer reduces lost material and makes collection much easier.)
Combine the component powders in the collection dish, mix well, and bottle immediately. Label with the name, date, and ingredients for future reference.
This powder performs one of the functions of Banishing Powder, but with special attention to warding off pesky ghosts. After visiting historical or haunted locations, or any time you feel spooked while walking home, sprinkle a palmful of powder on the ground and scrape your feet on it (as if you were wiping off dirt) to keep anything ghostly from following you home. Take three steps backward and spit toward the powder, then continue on your way.
For extra protection, toss a pinch of Banishing Powder, Threshold Powder, or Black Salt over your doorstep when you get home.
Note: For safety's sake, make sure you never cast this powder into the wind and wash your hands after use. Leftover particles on your skin can cause pain and irritation if they come into contact with your eyes or breathing passages.

MHA headcanons bcuz the show brings me a lot of joy
If you don't agree with them or they clash with canon that's ok just scroll on, peace and love on the planet earth and whatnot.
⭐Iida is straight but is openly into BL. He's up to date on new releases, mostly pg shoujo stuff. Except for one fantasy comic that is hella explicit at some points but he is VERY passionate about the lore and characters.
⭐Bakugo has Inosuke levels of androgyny going on. He would give Shouto a run for his money in the "class 1-A's resident prettyboy" vote that was held if he 1. wasn't too scary for people to vote for him. and 2. if he stopped scowling for like two seconds.
⭐Aoyama is some flavor of nonbinary but doesn't use any labels because he HATES them. He is an ✨experience✨, a piece of art up for interpretation.
⭐Pro hero Red Riot has a line of menstrual hygiene products with cool and manly packaging because he's very popular with transmasc people and wanted to give back something helpful and validating to them.
⭐Kirishima once called Bakugo his "brofriend" and he just about had an aneurysm.
⭐ Before they got together, Kirishima wrote half the valentine's cards Bakugou recieved anonymously because he "just had so many feelings it couldn't fit just on one card!!"
⭐Bakugou is a secret romantic. He hates talking about it because it's "bad for his image" but he has a big collection of shoujo manga and internally melts whenever Kiri does something soft for him like buying flowers or holding his hand in public.
⭐Aizawa regularly gets intrusive thoughts of becoming a househusband whenever he has a particulaly annoying time. Like after his 7th parent teacher conference of the day or after a full week of falling asleep in uncomfortable beds in seedy hostels he stares at the ceiling like "Hizashi is a celebrity. He has three jobs. What am I doing here? I love him. I can't cook but I could learn 😫"
⭐Kaminari hits on Bakugo's mom every chance he gets. Bakugo's tries to blow him up, Mitsuki thinks it's fucking hilarious.
⭐Allmight has a crush on Midoriya Inko but is scared to do anything about it because A. it might upset Izuku and B. he thinks he's too old and ugly for her.
⭐You'd think Midnight would be a bad teacher based on her general sexy nature but actually she's well loved because she's the only teacher who the kids trust with advice on relationships and intimacy, especially after the dorm system set in. She has time set aside each week where she's available for anyone to pop into her office and chat about whatever they're worried about. Aizawa is endlessly thankful for this because one time Todoroki asked him what a backshot is because he heard Sero make a joke about it and he's still healing from that conversation.
⭐Since both of their quirks are food based Sato and Momo often bake together. Sato's the master decorator, Momo buys good quality ingredients and is a beast at chiffon cakes.
⭐Denki can't swim. After The Incident in primary school where he almost electrocuted a whole swimming pool of people he's been scared to try.
⭐Kirishima has two moms. His birth mom had him at like 18 and his biological father wasn't ready for that yet. Her best friend immediately stepped up to help with the baby, and that's Kiri's mama now.
Thank you for reading!! I am incredibly late to this fandom but hey I'm having fun now so. Sick.
If you liked this, you can find part 2 here :)

System Anarchist Flag
RADQUEERS AND ANTI ENDOS DO NOT TOUCH
[ID: A flag that is half red and half black that intersects diagonally, in the middle is a white ampersand within a black circle that has a white barrier]
For Pro-Endo systems that are anti-establishment, anti-prisons, and anti-psychiatry anarchist. We fight for plural liberation and the abolishment of the system.
RECLAIMED! SYSTEMARCHY FLAG
[ID: Horizontal lines going from black, to grey-toned red, to grey-toned blue, to grey-toned green, to black. In the middle is a white ampersand on a black circle with a white border]
This term was inspired by the relationship anarchy term/flag. The black represents anarchist values such as anti-hierarchy, anti-normativity, and system interdependence. The red represents passion and strength, blue represents loyalty and independence, green represents being outside the norm. This label is for those who may not follow traditional systemhood by doing things such as reject origin labels, reject system roles, have no solid rules, reject the use of the term "host", may not follow the common thoughts of functional multiplicity such as not rejecting amnesic barriers. Systemarchist believe that all headmates have the right to exist in any way they desire, all headmates are equal, and have a right to their own privacy, independence and personhood. Systemarchist believe that all forms of systemhood are valid even when they are chaotic or confusing. The way they preform systemhood are rejected by others and may be labeled as "anti-recovery" when it may be seen as productive by the system themselves. This label is anti-psych as psychiatry forces us within boxes that do not work for us. This label is pro-endo and pro-tulpa as everyone has the right to their autonomy. Those who follow this term can identify with the label "Systemarchist"

"Dead Dove: Do Not Eat"
About the tag, the origin, and why I think no one on either side of the fandom divide knows how to use it
First of all, I'm crosstagging because I think it's a general issue, not just something for pro or anti shippers. I see the tag get misused on both sides and I just wanted to throw my two cents in
So, where did the term originate? Like all culturally significant things online, it started as a meme. More specifically, a meme from the television show Arrested Development. Character A has put a dead dove into a brown paper bag to store in the family's fridge. On the bag, he has taped a sign that reads, in big bold letters, "DEAD DOVE. Do Not Eat!"
Character B comes across the bag, reads the warning, and opens it anyway. When he's met with, you guessed it, a dead dove, he proclaims "I don't know what I expected".
This is an example of (and has since basically become the spiritual successor to) the "Exactly What It Says On The Tin" trope.
If you want to check out the full history and countless examples of the trope, please check out the page on tvtropes. But for a slightly shorter history - it originated in a British commercial for Ronseal's Quick Drying Woodstain, which the tin claimed "dried quickly". And in the commercial they told you "It does exactly what it says on the tin!" So, the tin says what the product does, then the product does it. You get the idea.
In fandom spaces, the trope just means that the title of Thing (be it movie, show, fanfic, etc) tells you exactly what happens IN Thing. If a show is called "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", you already know it's about a girl named Buffy who slays vampires. If the movie is called "Cocaine Bear", you can bet a bear will get into some cocaine at some point. If there's a fanfic called "Fluttershy Has Tea With Jesus"... you get the idea.
While both tags started out with the same intentions and meaning, I don't think it's any wonder that "dead dove do not eat" has been so easy to misinterpret. For one, "exactly what it says on the tin" sounds more straightforward. You don't have to understand the specific reference to infer it means to check the label (in this case, tags) before purchasing (opening) the product (fanfic)
But dead dove is harder to understand if you don't know the reference. And at a glance, it sounds much darker. Doves have symbolism in multiple religions, and are seen as a symbol of peace. A dead dove evokes images of gore, violence, general unpleasantness. It must only apply to something sinister, right?
The thing about "exactly what it says on the tin" is that the tin needs to say something. You can't point at a blank label and say "here's what you can expect". People would be much less likely to engage with your product if that were the case
In the same vein, slapping "dead dove do not eat" on a fic with no other tags can lead to confusion. In this tag's case, it's a warning. But what are you warning about if you don't also put it in the tags? It leaves people's minds to conjure up only grim and upsetting images of what might be in your fic. Especially when, as it's also common to do, the tag gets shortened to simply "dead dove".
And while, yes, the tag is most likely to get slapped onto fics with dark or upsetting subject matter, that means something different for everyone who comes across it.
Most people seem to think it only applies to inappropriate relationships (age gap, incest, etc). But I've seen it applied to a variety of things, from potentially triggering material (like suicide) to things that simply may not be everyone's cup of tea (like excessive gross-out toilet humor).
In the end, "dead dove do not eat" is a tag that, in my opinion, should not be used as a descriptor as to what type of content your story contains. But rather, a gentle warning to say "hey, I'm specifically telling you what you're about to encounter, so whatever happens next is up to you".
After all, if you read the warning and still open the bag to find something you don't like...
I don't know what you were expecting.
#proship#proshippers#proshipper#proshipping#antiship#pro ship#anti ship#antishippers#antishipper#anti anti#certainly this will lead to nothing bad#anyway if you disagree or have something to add feel free!#this is just pulling from my own knowledge and experience of what i've seen around#so let me know if you're experiences or observations are different#i would appreciate it

Advertising Hero
Makeup. P2
Part one
Tetsu, Shoji, Tokoyami, Aoyama x Reader
Hello, all my bubble bees. IM BACK -for a limited time only. As requested, we have another hero makeup! I did these while taking a break between work, and it was really enjoyable to do. I also can't get over the idea of Deku’s makeup being cosplay makeup—that boy definitely costplayed all might. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
Warnings: Reader wear dress and makeup, possibly suggestive if you squint.
“New Pro Hero makeup brands have been released to the public as of yesterday. And all I can say is it is no bullcrap branding. There seems to actually have been a lot of thought out into these product- cruelty free and safe. There even seems to be ointments in the makeup to help with skin… actual care was put into these products.”
-Vlogger
🩶 Tetsutetsu 🩶
Tetsu: Luid metallic eyeliner
Advertisement: The background was black, allowing all focus to be on you and Tetsu. You stood facing the camera, arms crossed and legs shoulder width apart, a power pose. The tight version of Tetsu’s hero costume was barely visible on your frame. The room was dark, minus the sliver of light that crept in to catch the liquid metallic linear that adorned your face; its mirror-like quality allowed the shape of Tetsu’s signature ‘mask’ to be seen. A mysterious, dangerously flirty smile played on your and testus lips as he ‘looked’ over his flexing arm, his eyes covered in shadow. Tetsu stood behind you, back to yours, as he flexed his arms, his quirk causing the tiny sliver of light to shine over each defined muscle in his bicep and catch on the points of his sharp white smile.
💪 Shoji 💪
Shoji: Wet Eye Liners - Water Activated Dry Liners Pallet
Advertisement: It was a sweet scene with a calming blue background. You and Shoji sat face to face as the camera caught your side angle, the warm lighting only causing the two of you to rest in your golden hour. You sat on your knees, leaning over to reach the towering man sitting before you. Shoji’s mask remained on, but it was clear from his eyes that he was smiling widely. Your hand held a small brush, a light blue pigment at the end of its bristles as if caught in mid-motion of painting on flowing hearts to his upper cheeks. Your own were adorned with small, beautiful pink flowers that reached the corner of your eyes. The open pallet played to the side, and its light colors were fully displayed to the camera. The label ‘inner calmness’ with all the color's names splayed open.
🖤 Tokoyami 🖤
Tokoyami: Gothic Eye Shadow Pallet and Black Lquid Linear
Advertisement: It was a dark mansion setting, with a dark background and an almost throne-like chair where you sat. Slightly leaned over to rest your chin on your palm, elbow resting on the armrest. You glanced over at the camera, a confidently dangerous grin on your dark-painted lips. Your hair was woven in a way that portrayed a crown, with silver strands woven in. Your eyeshadow was dark purple blended to black with a slight touch of a dark grey shimmer nestled between the two colors, a sharp glossy cat-eye cutting through the blended color. Tokoyami stood by your side, leaning against the relatively large chair. You both wore black; Tokoyami a suit and you a simple dress with a slight shimmering bottom to compliment the look.
✨ Aoyama ✨
Aoyama: Fine Body Glitter- Safe to put on eye lids
Advertises:You were standing on the red carpet with Aoyama, your arm resting on his as you turned to model for the many paparazzi. You stare at the camera, a large smile on your lips, a hand on your hip, and the other resting on Aoyama’s. Your strapless shimmering dress with elbow-length matching gloves complemented the shimmering body glitter on shoulders, eyelids, and even hair; which was elegantly pulled up. The lights of hundreds of cameras only made the sparkles more beautiful. Aoyama stood off your side, seeming perfectly fine not to be in the camera flash for once, his eyes glued to you.

Remember people, even if you like productions created by Jews, even if you like actors of Jewish origin, even if you have a few OCs who are Jews, the fact that you deny the actions of Jews from Israel and those who support them, will get you labeled an anti-Semite
Even if you react to anti-Semites in your country who use "Jew" as an insult, you will only get this label because you hate how they treat Palestinians
Even if you show your helplessness and throw off the entire burden, even if you deny that in your country only Jews are talked about as the only victims of the Holocaust (Because the rest is inconvenient for conservatives), people from another country who had the privilege to know about it without censorship pro-rightists will eat you for anti-Semitism
They will eat you for anti-Semitism because you don't understand why people who were a group of holocaust victims do the same thing that was done to people like them, which is more disgusting when you do the same thing that was done to people like you
You will be labeled an anti-Semite because you have ASD and have problems communicating your thoughts in a way that would make them sound attractive to neurotypicals, because they will not understand how difficult it is to describe what you feel and how you see it all, they do not care that it is a challenge for you , to describe it, they love to attack autistic people, as they showed on tik tok
No matter what you do, you will be labeled an anti-Semite, even if this label is untrue, because people have convinced themselves that if someone is a Jew, they are protected from the consequences of their actions, because any attempt to show that Jews from Israel and those who support this country ( Yes, there are Palestinians who are Jews, but they are victims of those Jews who are not), they are like Polish Christians who will call you a crystanophobe when you point out to them what they do in the name of their religion
If being against what Israel is doing is anti-Semitism, then it follows that it is the only good anti-Semitism, which shows the absurdity of it all
Because anti-Semitism is not supposed to be good, so it means that it is not anti-Semitism when you react to harm, being a Jew does not protect you from the consequences, and being a Christian does not protect you from being a hateful scumbag that attacks minorities for the very fact of existing
There is no alibi here, your arguments about being a victim of the Holocaust lose their validity when you are the perpetrator, and denying it shows how deep you are in it
Israel has been mistreating Palestinians for years, for years in my country I have seen memes about how this country segregates and other attempts to enslave these people, so no, being pro-Palestinians did not appear only after what happened between Israel and Hamas, it was this before, but people didn't know what to do, so they communicated their helplessness in memes
Only after the Israel-Hamas conflict did people gather to fight for the Palestinians, it was a motivation to end it, because they can no longer sit quietly, pretending that nothing is happening (Because Israel denies what it is doing and manipulates people)
They did not fight earlier because they were afraid of being labeled an anti-Semite, but they communicated it through memes so that everyone could find out what Israel is doing, it is a mistake to think that only after what happened between Israel and Hamas did people start to be in favor of the Palestinians, they were earlier, but they were simply afraid of this patch, because after what Twitter showed, it's easy to throw mud at someone when they defend those who are attacked (because unfortunately, society loves artificial enemies)
Let's stop calling it anti-Semitism, because we only do harm, because we create artificial protection for those people who are guilty, do we really want another Canada where people forgot about what the church did to the indigenous people? Because yes, they forgot about it too quickly, because you have to "Forgive", yes, the rape of children and everything they did, the church has been going unpunished for years and it pisses me off because once again everything is in favor of Christians
Using "Anti-Semitism" in this context is seriously disgusting and shows a big problem, because people do not want to admit that it is a group of people from a specific group that is doing something and it is worse because of the very context that this group had, and now it is denying it, that they are the bad guys, and they will call you anti-Semites and the like, to make you feel guilty for calling them out
The funny thing is that doing the same thing they do towards Islamists is no longer considered Islamophobia and racism, because they are a persecuted group, so they cannot be the bad guys in this story (Yes, it reminds me of Poles who deny that they do the same as those "Fascists" whom they hate because they support the insurgents, even when an insurgent tells them that they are fascists, yes, it happened, one insurgent called a certain man a fascist and she was criticized on the Internet, because the leftists manipulated her, because her age apparently affects how easy it is to manipulate her, and they were outraged at that she also called this man "Boor", because it's an insult, yes, this is the level of absurdity)
Well, I'm sorry, but the Israelis unknowingly turned anti-Semitism into something positive, which shows a big problem, because it didn't have a positive connotation and shouldn't have, but if it is used in such contexts, unfortunately, it will turn into something positive, that's only disturbing that the reaction to harming people causes that you are an anti-Semite in their eyes, this is seriously an absurdity that should not happen, instead of these terms being negative, they are starting to be reclaimed like the words "Nerd" or "Gay", if we don't stop this, this term will be reclaimed and become positive , and this is due to the lack of awareness of those who use it
The only way to prevent "Anti-Semitism" from becoming positive is not to use it in this context, because it will start to mean "Aversion to Jews who harm Palestinians" and I doubt that anyone would want this word with the connotation of history related to the Third Reich to suddenly become positive, no one wants that, but this term is starting to have this connotation precisely because of how many people from Israel use it, when someone defends the Palestinians and draws attention to how many victims Israel has, if they continue to use this term, I'm sorry, but the meaning it had will be distorted , this has already happened with "Fascism" and "Nazism", both no longer mean the same as they did years ago
Now "Fascism" does not mean the extreme right, and people from discriminated groups who fight for their rights, yes, you heard that right, in such a context you will hear this term, often use the word "Nazism" in the same context, do you seriously want anti-Semitism ended the same way as these two words that have had a negative connotation for years, and today they are a shell of what they were?
If you use anti-Semitism every time someone talks about Israel's crimes, then unfortunately this word will lose its original meaning, and I doubt that's what you want, for people to stop taking it seriously, this is how you kill the meaning of the word when you use it them in the wrong context, an example are the words used to describe people with intellectual disabilities, people took it and turned it into an insult, the same with autism, autistic people fight, but the question is whether it will be possible to recover autism in the same way as "Nerd" and "Gay" or "Queer ", because attention, a word in the wrong context loses its original meaning or becomes an insult, or it ceases to be serious like "Fascism" and "Nazism"
So yes, the greatest enemy of the word anti-Semitism are ironically the people to whom this word applies, because they change its context to be unpunished, unfortunately, one day this word will lose its meaning and will become nothing more than a word that is used as a cheap protection against consequences
Yes, I had to throw it away because it's absurd that you will be an anti-Semite when you draw attention to a problem that concerns a group of people, which actually hurts, even people like them, because they are of a different origin, and this is what is worse when a group that was persecuted, begins to do the same towards another person, it's like queer people who persecute people under the trans umbrella, they are from the same group but they still hurt others, it is more disgusting because of the context, they are victims of the same discrimination and yet they discriminate against their own people for being different from them, or people with ASD what other people with ASD attack because they don't hide, which supposedly causes that they are taken less seriously
We should talk about how many discriminated groups discriminate against other discriminated groups, but no, it's better to keep quiet about it, I'm aroace, and do you fucking know how queer people treat asexual and aroace people? Well, they tell them that they are not queer people and they want to push themselves into their group, of which they are supposedly not "part", the problem is, that they are queer, have their own flags, and yet are rejected for being "Not Queer Enough" or for being "Queerbaiting"
Being a discriminated group does not protect you, it only makes you a disgusting hypocrite from the perspective of other discriminated groups, because you accuse others of discrimination, and you are a discriminator yourself. Unfortunately, many people are afraid to talk about it because they will get a false label, and those who dare, will be attacked by people who do not want to see the problem in their own group, now combine this with Israel, the historical context and Palestine, it causes more disgust because of the context itself, the discriminated group (Jews) attack another group, and when someone stands up for the group they discriminate against, they will call him an anti-Semite, let's not be afraid to say that "Anti-Semitism" on their part causes the word to lose its meaning and all the seriousness it has had over the years
Let's stop treating discrimination from discriminated groups towards other discriminated groups as a taboo topic, because we only harm each other, because then we will go into the absurd that a Jew is an anti-Semite because he supports Palestine (And believe me, there are many Jews from outside Israel who support it), Yes, soon people from Israel will call Jews anti-Semites, it's only a matter of time
Bloody hell, in the comments they are already attacking Jews who support Palestine and calling them stupid because they support those who want to "Kill" them, do we need to say much about how people from Israel or for Israel are a big problem?
Although it could probably happen to them that they called a Jew an anti-Semite, because we live in a society and on the Internet where even a certain miraculous fanatic called me an ableist, because I don't like the trope of a disabled villain, so after that I expect everything
You know, some people don't say they are Jews and often don't look like the classic vision of a "Jew", so looking at the behavior of people from Israel and how they throw anti-Semitism left and right, I can't be 100% sure whether they didn't use it towards a person who is Jewish
So when we get to this situation, it will be quite meme due to the context, but okay, there was probably no such information, you just know how it works, since I, as a person with ASD, was called an ableist by a miracolous fanatic, nothing will surprise me anymore
But yes, this post was created after analyzing everything that is happening and how anti-Semitism is starting to lose its meaning depending on the context of who uses it, if we cannot criticize a group that harms, because it is hatred, it means that we have to allow it, because you can't say anything to not get patched? Or maybe we can finally stop using the term "Anti-Semitism" every time the context is about fucking genocide committed by a specific group? Anti-Semitism meant aversion to Jews based on myths and prejudices, not reactions to the fucking genocide on their part, because remember, being a discriminated group no longer protects you, when you discriminate and attack someone else in the same way as people like you (or yourself) were treated
Do you know when there was anti-Semitism? When there was a persecution against Jews because of the inventions of a crazy man himself, or when someone uses "Jew" as an insult, not when the truth is told that Jews are aggressors for Palestinians (Even information on the Internet says that Israel was created thanks to the help of USA in establishing a Jewish state, and a lot of hostility towards Palestinians comes from Jews, and you know what else? THE FUCKING STAR OF DAVID IS ON THE ISRAEL FLAG, IT'S RATHER A JEWISH SYMOBL, EVEN I GET IT)
So they give you a label of anti-Semitism because you criticize loudly that Jews are the aggressors in that country, although all the information says directly that the Jews from Israel are the aggressors, because note, as I mentioned, Israel was created as a Jewish state (the USA helped, unfortunately) and the conflict was related to Israel's prejudice against the Palestinians, people couldn't return home (Because they fled because of the war), and dear Israelis did not give them citizenship (I have a flashback from the story about Jews trapped at the border when the Third Reich took away their citizenship), yes, only a small part of people managed to return because they did not want any more, because the people of Israel had made up their minds, that these people are a threat to their country (Flashbacks from the Third Reich, oh boy), and that there has been segregation there for some time now (Unfortunately, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to remembering dates, seriously, dates were the nightmare of mine), i.e. checkpoints, displacements, cities as far away from the Israelis as possible (Oh, more historical flashbacks), it's so bad that many people have trouble getting to the hospital, and hospitals in Palestinian cities have problems with transportation and resources (Because Israel is as greedy as billionaires), so additional people on the conscience for Israelis, because there were women who gave birth in the car because the police didn't want to let them pass, many of them died, or she had a miscarriage, so yes, the Israelis are so good that they kill women and other people by preventing them from getting to the hospital (Because of the checkpoints, many people cannot travel by vehicle, so only on foot, so yes, we can guess how many additional deaths Israel has per conscience)
I'm disgusted that my country is friends with the USA (and takes its worst values from it, Poland wasn't a saint, but since Poles had too much contact with the USA, miracles like "Blackface" made their way into Polish productions, damn it, even today you can come across this shit)
But back to Israel, let's stop using anti-Semitism, because if you had no qualms about attacking Russians (Even those who haven't lived in Russia for years), it's still stupid that the real perpetrators should be patted on the head and you have to defend them just because they are Jews (Which is such a weak defense it hurts)
Yes, I saw a lot of hatred towards Russians on Polish YouTube (Even being happy that someone died because he is Russian), and now I see more and more hatred towards Ukrainians (Poles call them animals and want them to get the fuck out, yes, that's the kind of shit that goes on he's screwing around), you don't worry about it, because they're not Jews, so you can't defend them, because yes Seriously, I see a lot of double standards on this topic
If being a Jew allows you to murder and segregate people, then I'm sorry, but it's better for you to be an anti-Semite than to be for you, because by defending evil and harm to people, we ourselves are complicit in all this, finally, after so many years, people are no longer afraid talk about what you are doing and the real victims have finally been heard, after so many deaths and all the pain, they are no longer indifferent, karma comes back to those who hurt them, so they try to use anti-Semitism as a shield, but in this way they kill what this word meant and with these words I can end it, it started with questioning it and it ended face problems, which are considered a taboo topic and how the shield we use stops meaning anything

I think a lot of the American rad-left support of the USSR stems from the radical left of the mid century; a time where America was fighting the cold war via propping up the "American Dream", one that is very heteronormative, patriarchal and of course, capitalistic. Because being gay, non-christian, against marriage, etc was labeled communist. So of course to be against the American propaganda you had to be communist right? To be pro-lgbt, women and racial rights, etc you were labeled a communist here.
The issue is of course, that this idea of communism is not rooted in how communism has ever played out, actually living under communism, or being affected as millions of people die of starvation around you. American radical leftism is still American. You are still viewing the world as an American, no matter how much you denounce your ties to the country you live in. Until you can acknowledge the evils, and listen to the people that were oppressed under the USSR or CCP, you will never actually understand communism. You understand the big boogie man America made up. You are playing McCarthyism even if you're on "the other side" of it.
Like cultural christian atheists who treat every religion like Christianity, you're still looking at the world through a christian lens even if you aren't christian anymore, until you self reflect and branch out of what you consider normal.
American "communists" are not communists, and they never will be until they actually look past their American idea of communism.
It's more important to be pro-human rights (LGBT, womens, racial, etc) than it is to be communist or capitalist. The economy will always favor those who created it, otherwise they wouldn't have created it. But human rights and having values is more important than what those values make other people label you as.
I've been called a communist, I've been called McCarthy, etc. At the end of the day what I stand for is human rights. Capitalism and Communism are economic systems, tools for the economy and the work force/production of labor. Not for human beings.
And if you actually think the USSR or places like that stand for human rights just because they're anti-west? You're painfully American.

I see assignedmale has diversified from stupid takes about trans people to stupid takes about immigration.
Also, there were plenty of immigrants rioting themselves in the UK, so this is just factually inaccurate.*
Personally, I think both rioting sides are throwing a tantrum to no productive end. I have seen no evidence the kid who stabbed people had any motive or cause related to being the son of immigrants.
I'd also love to see how, exactly, Labelle thinks Elon "contributed" to the riots. By not banning crimethink? This tweet was made AFTER the riots started.
How is Elon responsible for inciting riots by saying he thinks those riots will escalate? I found a Guardian editorial that tried to "explain", but it was just pretentious pro-censorship nonsense and vagueness.
Also, AM supports bullying and harassment when it's for the Right Cause. Something tells me AM's issue isn't with the actual riots, but who's supposedly doing it.
*Someone sent me a link. I can't find it now. Google, Bing, Duckduck.
