imagine being one of dan’s flatmates in his first yr of uni lmfaoo??? like ok here comes this guy and like the first day he shuts himself in his room to play video games. ok cool whatever maybe he’s nervous. most of the time you never see him bc apparently he has an older friend nearby that he’s always with. when he is in the hall he’s burning pasta bc he’s cooking inept and staring down the washer bc he doesn’t understand how to do his own laundry. oh and he makes videos for youtube where he talks to himself (again this is like 2010). so after barely seeing this man the entire term you find out he’s dropped out of uni. ok whatever you never really think about him again until you’re on youtube and you see his face on the homepage. his video has like millions of views and thousands of likes. oh, there’s the friend he was spending all that time with. somehow he’s become some sort of an internet celebrity??? lmfaooooo. what a serve on dan’s part.

I didn't plan it I was taking a break from drawing l/o/t/r characters #initially it was going to be a creepy sun emboding moon's whole thing. Then moon playing pretend and mascarading as sun #then a nod to sun and moon being indeed the same person. something I usually dont draw because I view them as separate #then I accidentally added in moon's hat even though I already had the rays. because I rarely draw sun so it's instinct #and this all started because I had this vivid image of sun's wide eyes in shadows so deep you can make out his ghostly white iris #point is: not even I the artist know if this is eclipse. if this is sun. if this is moon. if this is them mid switch. this is the DCA #traditional art #done with grey brush pen tgat I added water to. a black brush. black fineliner. and several layers of white pencil to wash out that eye #(it was painted black)#plus white watercolour for the iris #yes I had to do it like this. the camera doesn't capture it well but in person all that work made the eye exactly how I envisioned it #what a tag rant for a fanart that took less than an hour before dinner lmao

Gold star kid. Just get out of my office." ”Did I get an A+?“ ”OUT!“#Completely missed the point of the exam and they basically pity-passed him after the seventeenth try #Mariner on the other hand already knew what the point of the test was ahead of time #(She didn't cheat she was still a goody-two-shoes at this point) (An older classmate or friend happened to mention it around her)#But she *did* think it was a bullshit test and just pretended to be humbled and accept defeat in order to get a good grade #She doesn't believe in no-win scenarios either #It's part of what makes them a good team

I have a question for people who fervently argue that Arya has no potential for politics but think that Sansa will be one of the main political characters, and I'm asking this seriously.

If Arya learning multiple languages, how to tell + detect lies, how to rule her face so she doesn't reveal her emotions, being able to blend into different situations, thinking quick on her feet, knowing the importance of gathering information, being someone who makes friends wherever she goes, convincing a FM to help free Northern prisoners and participating in a coup, etc. don't make Arya capable of participating in politics...what exactly is it that you think Sansa will be doing as a political figure?

Another wip! Cute little thing I'm doing with the twins-I'm trying to have them mirror similar expressions to Narinder. Children do tend to pick up the mannerisms of those around them after all, and outside of the occasional vessel they've only ever had Nari around.

(Also not helping poor Narinder's early AU convincing of the lamb that Aym and Baal aren't his children-it takes ages before the Lamb believes there's no blood relation between them. Then the lamb just shrugs and goes 'well you raised them so congrats on the boys they're still yours there is no difference')

It's not automatically a good thing, actually, that the game de-emphasizes or even outright removes racism against elves, and bigotry against other groups, from the story

#veilguard critical #completely declawing the sociopolitics of the story doesn't in any way make it a better story ugh #being of a certain race and even of a certain gender should mean something in the dragon age world and not all those things are good #and that's part of the challenge of the roleplay and part of the themes of the whole overarching story like #tevinter! is a location in this game!!#not to focus on just the elves but if we're not feeling the absolute depths and desperation of all the elves #not just the dailish #then there's no way to feel much complexity or conflict over - for example - what solas is trying to do and why he's so motivated #his character is boiled down to him being by himself and feeling conflicted over just his past actions #as if he didn't spend all of inquisition investigating yours and the companions' differing plights and worldviews #tbh though one of the biggest failings of inquisition is maybe possibly not highlighting the dailish and city elves enough #to help drive home this point - but veilguard is so clearly just kind of out here by itself with loredumping that goes completely #uninvestigated socially or politically that like... it doesn't matter much #like we just have to pretend that everyone is playing kumbaya now? with the elven god of rebellion real and running around?#that you can walk around anywhere in tevinter practically unbothered?#like bellara and davrin and every dailish elf in thedas aren't at all significantly moved by knowing their gods are just some guys?#i get more and more pissed at -good vibes- storytelling in all its mediums with every passing day #ISMtext
