King salmon fillets are marinated in a tasty plum sauce and then grilled in this recipe. The sweet and sour sauce goes well with the rich salmon flavor, making this a dish that's great for any event.

Ingredients: 4 King salmon fillets 6 ounces each. Salt and black pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 cup plum preserves. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 2 tablespoons rice vinegar. 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro optional, for garnish.

Instructions: Warm the grill up to a medium-high level. On top of the salmon fillets, sprinkle them with olive oil and salt and pepper. Put soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and plum preserves in a small saucepan. With the heat on medium, melt the preserves and make the sauce smooth. This should take about 5 minutes. Take the sauce off the heat and add the sesame oil. Salmon fillets should be grilled for four to five minutes on each side, or until a fork can easily flake the fish. Brush salmon with a lot of plum sauce in the last minute of cooking. Take the salmon off the grill and give it a minute or two to rest. If you want, you can serve the grilled salmon with chopped cilantro on top and extra plum sauce on the side.

It's very interesting the way that Galinda is so fixated on her name being pronounced correctly, she becomes visibly frustrated when Doctor Dillamond cannot pronounce her name. She's also rather observant and is seemingly good at getting people to like her. Which leads me to the conclusion that she is calling Boq, Bic, on purpose. She does not like him and she doesn't want him to be interesting in her so she treats him in a way that she would hate to be treated. I dont know if I'm just stating the obvious but it's very interesting. She's s very complex character.

I wanted to make some applesauce yesterday but I only had one apple! So I looked in the fruit bin and found 4 peaches that were past their prime, plus 2 too-soft plums and a vanilla bean that had been hanging around my spice cabinet for too long. I cut up all the fruit (peeled the apple first), put it in a pot to cook with some honey and that vanilla bean and voila! A really tasty side dish for our grilled beef ribs. Here’s the recipe (feel free to improvise): Fruit Sauce 4 ripe peaches 2 large ripe plums 1 large apple, peeled 1/4 cup honey Small piece of vanilla bean Cut up the fruit and place it in a large saucepan. Add the honey and vanilla bean. Cover the pan. Cook on low-medium heat for about 20-25 minutes or until all the fruit is soft (check the fruit and stir occasionally during cooking to make sure the fruit doesn’t burn if heat too high or isn’t cooking fast enough if heat too low). Watched wicked for the second time. Didn't notice it the first time but when Elphaba is leaving on the train and Glinda gives her the letter and it says "I hope you get your hearts desire" and when Elphaba reads that, looks up and then invites Glinda, her hearts desire, to the Emerald city, that got me. Also because she actually gets the opposite of her hearts desire and all her dreams get crushed that scene actually sucks and now I'm sad.
