Tim and dick have different brands of foot in mouth disease because tim is genuinely clueless and self centered when he says stuff like "your parents death was the most traumatizing thing to happen to me" or complains about how hard it is to lie to your parents to orphans, but dick is 100 percent aware of what he's doing when he says stuff like "you think your dad would put up with you like I do" and throws accessibility or lack thereof in people's faces or brings up Roy's past addiction in arguments, he just CHOOSES to say that

I'm on my first read through of Realm of the Elderlings and as a little personal project for myself, I'm taking a scene or small moment from each book in the series and turning it into a comic spread. I've been working on this project since January so I'm catching up a little bit with posts here.
I loved character dynamics in Ship of Magic and was especially drawn to Amber and Paragon's friendship. This scene doesn't happen on-page so the comic spread is a bit of a fanfic // fanart combo. I imagine that Amber was delighted to carve her gift for Paragon and I just wanted to spend some time with her in her cozy workshop.
"I brought you something," she said into the comfortable silence.
"You brought me something?" he wondered aloud. "Really?" He tried to keep the excitement out of his voice. "I don't think anyone has ever brought me me anything before."
She sat up straight. "What, never? No one's ever given you a present?"

You know i have been thinking lately about my favorite tropes. And something i love is when a character is both genuinely kind and caring. But also frightening in combat.
Like the kind of characters that arm straight up good people. Will give you the shirt of their back. Take you in, even if you do them harm. And believe in you no matter what.
And yet if they have to. They can and will mop the floor with any poor bastard. Who is dumb enough or unlucky enough to catch them when they stop messing around.
Needless to say, Uncle iroh is the biggest example. But also the best adaptations of Superman are this imo.

Thinking about Jupiter’s Legacy again, and how it could have been way better than what Netflix delivered. Picture a mini-series following close the plot of the comics, which is a short and interesting plot. The budget they used for that first season could have been enough.
Then we have a movie or another mini-series, that works as a prequel and shows how the “Union of Justice” was formed. Basically, all the flashbacks of the first season, but with more development.
It could have been an interesting project with a satisfying ending. Instead, Netflix tried to copycat The Boys and left us with a mid-show and a cliffhanger. And no answer to what the hell was going on between Walter and George?!!
Yes, this post was inspired by me thinking of Brainwave and Skyfox, again.
