i could talk about the parallels between the dreemurr siblings and the skeleton brothers and how one is more reserved and is closely related to your choices and willing to make the hard choices that their brothers can't while the other is more energetic and refuses to kill even in the face of certain death and is closely tied to belief and hope and how both are so extremely codependent and how the dreemurrs were doomed because of it but the skeletons avoid their fate

but instead i'll just say that chara and sans are joined in "my brother is the coolest" solidarity

What's Russell like when he's crushing on someone~

Okay... Okay, okay, so been thinking on this for a while...

This is for both his Skeleton-self and Mage-self, as well.

When Russell actually crushes; -Know that Russ has absolutely no experience with Love at all. -All the obvious flirting and hitting on goes out the window. He won't realize he's crushing, he'll think he's just finally finding a friend; Someone to blend in with; A being he can be his true, goofy self with and not feel like he's going to be talked down to or have any negative affects come at him. -He'll still say some silly stuff; He'll say things that come out as flirty, but it's more of a joke. He's going to think this is a platonic-relationship. Something new he wouldn't actually mind trying. Hell, he'll even point out those he finds 'hot' and talk like that. (Which, might make things tense, depending on how the person takes it.) -He'll open up more to them than to anyone else, where he's normally a lot more closed off and mysterious. It'll just come out, though; Especially if he feels he can trust this person. -Catching himself looking at the person, zoning out to them, not even realizing he's doing a lot of the normal things one does in a crush... He'll ask himself and try to theorize his thoughts on why he's doing that; But he won't come up with anything besides-... He just really enjoys their company??? So shrugs it off. -He's not going to understand the pull in his soul towards this person he's crushing on; He's going to think it's sexual. That he's fighting his urge to get them into bed. However, when he does go and feed his 'needs', he feels... Unsatisfied, unlike he's used to, in an empty sense, and doesn't understand why. -Overbaring rage and anger if someone so much as has the intent of harming his Crush on his watch; His overprotective mode kicks in hard, to the point he might even scare or unnerve his 'Friend'... -When his Crush is sad, upset, or other different emotions; A wave of overwhelming need to just wrap them up in his arms, because he knows he can protect and give them a safe-space shows. Knowing exactly what and when to say it comes to his advantage in this moment; Able to use his words to even settle his Crush down... And feeling an odd warmth in his Soul, in his Chest, where he normally never feels unless he's successful in tricking or soothing his own brother down; Which makes him even more confused, thinking he views his Crush as family then. That... Or he thinks his smokes are lingering too long. -Touches feel better with his Crush; He'll actively seek only them out for cuddles, for hand holding, for anything he can-- He'll basically become addicted to their touch, and theirs alone. -His sexual needs will either; Dissolve due to finding a safe space with his Crush. OR They'll explode worse, trying to find any sort of subsitute he can to fill this burning desire he thinks is sexual when really; He just can't see he's fallen in Love.

Now, it all depends on his Crush and how they feel towards Russ; But he's a bit oblivious in this Crushing. And if left for too long, Russ will just try and kill whatever he feels- Especially if his Crush has someone they're with already or is fawning over someone else. Russ will kill his own jealousy, despite not understanding the reason for it, and still be there for his 'Friend'.

He's a good, sweet boy deep down; He's just never Loved before. Everyone and everything; You Use or Get Used.
