Across the Middle East and Asia, Palestinian Solidarity Social Media Posts and Boycotts have made a significant dent in the sales of several Western Brands over their perceived support for the “Illegal Regime of the Zionist 🐖 🐷 🐗, the Isra-hell.” Seattle based Starbucks, a Prime Boycott Target, saw its shares tumble 8.96% within a span of 19 days in November 2023, accounting for $11 Billion in losses. This marked the longest decline in the Company’s history. Yet, despite being a Prime Boycott Target, Starbucks is not the only International Brand that has been affected.

We had to fall over backwards to explain that the actions and beliefs of terrorists aren't representative of Muslims and Islam, meanwhile the majority of mainstream Jewish institutions will out and out support the mistreatment of Palestinians simply for being Palestinian and it's "hateful" to call them on it

Just read a news report that Portugal's entry in the finals has not been published and instead they are making it seem like the semi-final perfomance was the final (also checked the youtube video and confirmed)
Is ESC that scared of showing manicured nails bearing palestinian symbols now to the point they lie about which perfomance it is just so they don't show it?

Israeli army battalions and companies often compete in designing the most outrageously racist shirt that they can show off in front of the rest. The Israeli daily Haaretz published some examples and photographs of these T-shirts. One T-shirt for infantry snipers “bears the inscription ‘Better use Durex,’ next to a picture of a dead Palestinian baby, with his weeping mother and a teddy bear beside him.” Another sharpshooters’ shirt from the Givati Brigade’s Shaked battalion “shows a pregnant Palestinian woman with a bull’s-eye superimposed on her belly, with the slogan, in English, ‘1 shot, 2 kills.’” Several prints depicted ruined, destroyed, or blown-up mosques, revealing a deeply entrenched Islamophobic tendency that is appallingly reminiscent of 1930s anti-Semitic cartoons in Europe. Another design shows a soldier raping a Palestinian girl, and underneath it says, “No virgins, no terror attacks.” Israeli sociologist Orna Sasson-Levy said that this phenomenon is “part of a radicalization process the entire country is undergoing, and the soldiers are at its forefront.” She added: “There is a perception that the Palestinian is not a person, a human being entitled to basic rights, and therefore anything may be done to him.” Was Israel simply “morally corrupted” by the occupation? It’s not uncommon for Israeli analysts from the Zionist “left” to try to explain the dominant racism and genocidal trends among Israelis as relatively new phenomena, departures from the good old days of liberalism and enlightenment, or signs of moral collapse. All such explanations have one thing in common: they betray the same symptoms of selective amnesia displayed by those on the right. They ignore the fact that Israel’s very establishment was a result of massive ethnic cleansing, massacres, rape, wanton destruction of hundreds of villages, and total denial of the most basic rights to the indigenous Palestinians who were dispossessed and exiled and those who remained despite all the attempts to annihilate their existence as a people with a distinct identity. During the Nakba, the massive campaign of ethnic cleansing by Zionist militias and later the Israeli army against the indigenous Palestinians, as Israeli historian Ilan Pappé, among others, has shown, was premeditated, meticulously planned years in advance by Zionist leaders, including David Ben-Gurion, and executed systematically, brutally, and without compunction. As a result, over 800,000 Palestinians were dispossessed and uprooted and more than five hundred Palestinian villages were methodically destroyed to prevent the return of the refugees.

Okay fellow tumblr users,
I found the Trump/Biden relationship concept very funny, yes? As most do?
Yet, it has legitimate following on Ao3
Now, one would assume this to be, mostly, fetish porn
HOWEVER,
I have made a shocking discovery:
Most of this is not explicitly... explicit
My findings:

"Pro-Palestine" protests have become so synonymous with hatred and violence towards Jewish people of all sorts that I straight up instinctively do not trust anyone rallying for Palestine anymore. That is how bad it has gotten. This is how badly a legitimate cause has been co-opted by a bunch of violent antisemites and their messaging and radicalism. "Free Palestine" and Palestinian flags in bios have become tied to some of the worst, murderous, genocidal takes I have ever seen from people who call themselves supposed activists.
Going out on a limb here and giving SOME of these people the benefit of the doubt, let's say at least a few of these people actually care about Palestinians. (I don't believe they do, I think they're in it for the excuse to kick the shit out of some Jews, but let's entertain the hypothetical for a second.) Does ANYONE pulling this shit realize how much air they're sucking out of the room by making a rising tide of international crisis worse? Do they care that their actions are drawing eyes away from the Middle East because people everywhere are looking around horrified by how acceptable it has become to mug your local Jewish population and literally scream slurs in their faces?
Hell, a 69 year old Jewish man DIED after he was attacked at a Pro-Palestine protest.
This isn't activism. When I can't trust people who used to be mutuals anymore because in their trying to "spread awareness" (about a cause that should have been a worthy one) they're reblogging posts one or two steps removed from sources that are actively calling for the genocide of an entire people across the globe, we're in a really dark place. I don't know how to bring people back from it.
Edit: Link to the tweet above btw. So you can read the campus letter for yourself.

It's incredible that the Israeli government never seems to know exactly where Hamas is because it's "like fighting ghosts" (according to Israeli soldiers) until other people - including the South African Government takes them to court. Then all of a sudden, Israeli representatives become such experts on Hamas that they accuse the South African Government of being a "legal arm of Hamas."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is Hamas so elusive that they cannot be fought without murdering a bunch of civilians or are they so brazen and bold that they have legal representatives fighting on their behalf - in front of the entire international community?
Which is it?

I am so infuriated and betrayed I actually have no words right now. I hope every person using a symbol that used to mean protection against evil as a symbol of your hatred and cruelty suffers greatly.

UO but i don't want nor need a statement from Louis to feel better about myself and who i stan. And unless you're palestinian i don't get why are you pressuring him to make one. I understand this with artists who truly have a huge platform like TS (funnily enough i rarely see any criticism towards her from these same people who are using this genocide to say the most vile things about Louis). But Louis has no gp audience, his fans are chronically online so they probably know more about what's going on than he does, and i'll be crass and say it the man can't even convince half his fans that he's the father of his own child so i genuinely don't understand what impact do you expect an ig story with "stop the genocide" or him signing that artists for ceasefire petition when he's not even american (and much bigger artists already signed it) would achieve? I would LOVE for it to be possible for artists in the west trying to have and maintain career to make a genuine detailed statement about the genocide and how they feel about what's going on but unfortunately it's not possible. All celebrities that made a statement who are still actively working and want to have a career including the Hadid sisters came up with the most neutral statements and in my opinion that is not what Palestine needs. Bc the awareness should not be focused on simply "stop the genocide" bc that's a given ( and a very safe choice of words) but what also must be said that this is an occupation not a war, that Israel has no right to exist and believing otherwise IS zionism, that resistance is NOT terrorism and as proven now it is the only way to independence. And let me tell you, no western artist will tell you that (if they want to have a career at least). It is on us, citizens all around the world to change the narrative, it is on us to boycott, it is on us to just CARE and SUPPORT. I was so disappointed when Louis went to McDonald's bc the boycott is a thing he as a citizen should participate in, something so simple and that doesn't in anyway jeopardise his career. And i am even more disappointed with all those fans who were calling him out for not boycotting (rightfully so, though the tone with which some of them spoke was very offensive) but still couldn't resist to boycott the superbowl or the grammys bc THAT is a platform to raise awareness, THAT is a window to reach people who might not be online to learn enough about what's going on in Palestine, THAT is impact (much more effective and faster than boycotting a food chain in my opinion btw). It is heartbreaking to see time and time again how little people care for palestinian life. So little, they couldn't boycott a 13 minutes performance (not even the game), so little they keep using a literal genocide in their silly little stan wars, so little Israel knew the Super Bowl will take all the attention and proceeded to bomb Rafah ( a place where Gazans were told to go bc it's "safe").
