Not all endogenics chose to become systems, sure, very correct. But don't leave created systems behind, either. Voluntary plurality is just as real and just as plural as a system formed in whatever other way. All it takes to be plural is being more than one entity in a body--that's it. Nothing about origin, nothing about member count, nothing about anything else. If you're more than one, you're plural enough. It doesn't matter how you got there.

Added note: Created plurality isn't isolated from other types of plurality. You can have DID/OSDD and have created headmates. You can be any origin and also have created headmates. These are not experiences sealed away from each other.

This is similar to our experience, but only one-way? When Jen, the host, is fronting, and we switch to me, it's this gradual change, some fuzzyness to memory, but basically exactly what you say here. And I share frontspace with Escherichia, we can front easily and the memory-continuum is uninterrupted. And the two of us can trivially switch at will. But Jen has no shared continuum of memory. full blackout amnesia when she's not fronting, no internal communication from her to us. I have her memories, she does not have mine.

Hi I’m a newly discovered system and its been causing me a little stress that I (the host?) don’t experience blackouts or full amnesia, but then I read some of your old posts about feeling like everything’s in grayscale and emotional amnesia and was like “:0 that’s like me!”

so the uhhh. so the person fronting never really feels like they "disappear" or get pushed away it just feels like they Change Into A Different Person . but we still Exist while not fronting but nobody remembers what that's like because w. yeah no i don't get the technicalities of how this works i'm not worrying about it too hard

I guess its just because people are sometimes naturally (or unnaturally) shitty and theyre gonna be shitty wether theyre the norm or not, the human brain probably works the same way in both cases

I seriously don't mean this rudely, but out of just curiosity. Why do you want to create a system within yourself? what's the point???

Me personally? I did it because the idea of letting my headmates who had accidentally begun to form fade made me quite sad, and I wanted to do right by them. Also, curiosity, and maybe even some envy towards systems. I'd had a backburner interest in plurality for three years at that point, and I had helped many of my irl friends, including my partner, go through syscovery. I was ending my 2 1/2 year long apprenticeship, and was only a few months after my college graduation. I was in a stage of personal transition that was perfect for a transformation. The conditions were right for me to make the decision when faced with it, basically.

Everyone has a reason for it. Most reasonings I've seen tend to be something along the lines of curiosity, companionship, self-mastery, and/or necessity. I encourage any created systems or systems with created headmates to share their stories in the reblogs or comments!

We've kind of known for a while now, but there is definitely a child in our system- We've kind of been doubting it because we don't really know too much about them. Sometimes they'll just... show up

"The Future is Singlet" is offensive to us as well.

We are HAPPY as a system. We do not WANT to be one person.

Especially since when we looked more into it, it is not all of us coming together to restore the original person, it would be one of US who gets left behind while everyone else fuses into them.

They would still remember being plural and having us around. I can hardly imagine how LONELY that would be.

I have a certain idea, as I at one point strongly implemented coping mechanisms for anxiety, grounding/staying present, and dealing with dissociation and tried to completely shut Spitz (and others who would show up less) out. It was extremely lonely. That was about 4 years ago, and at the time we thought we only had maladaptive daydreaming. We decided then that we would rather live in a daydream than reality, as reality was lonely and cruel. Now that we know that we are alters and real, we have stopped the daydreaming to be honest about our plurality and work on ourselves, but we still would rather stay as we are, and just improve how we function.

Hey I know I already saw someone say this but I'm going to repeat it louder in bold because I think it needs to be said again and again until certain people shut the fuck up.

"The future is singlet" is a forced recovery statement.

It erases systems that heal and remain as systems. It furthers the idea that there is only one kind of recovery and that being singlet is the only way to be "healthy".

The future is plural because it will be accepting and inclusive of all plurals no matter what their recovery or creation looks like. The people who have already been abused can and may continue to be systems after healing and THE FUTURE SHOULD INCLUDE THEM? Like come the fuck on. "The future is singlet" is so damn offensive to me as a trauma victim. You are not protecting people like me by spreading this shit.
