Kim Roksoo’s parents must have been really sweet and loving people.
Even with all the pain he experienced because of his uncle, and losing his parents, he still didn’t become a bad person when everything was set against him.
Like with the children averaging whatever years old, KRS takes care of them and is in general a good father(I mean I question his lack of communication towards his children, like please tell them you have a healing ability at least tell your kids dude please please please please please) but that’s just a general KRS problem coming from the years and years he spent relying only on himself for various reasons.
His parents probably loved him a lot, they cared for him and they showed him what it was like to be loved. That just makes the fact that they died so early on in his life more terrible. Kim Roksoo may not remember them well, but I like to think that when they were alive, he was happy.

Prompt 352
“Mother, I crave violence,” a small child interrupts the video call, practically clambering up into Nightingale’s chair. They look around five or so, with white hair and red eyes. Albino perhaps?
“Ah, apologies, let me take care of this real quick,” Nightingale turns the microphone off when he gets a few acknowledging noises, picking the small child up and moving them from the room.
“Cute kid,” Barry acknowledged from behind his coworker’s head, having been helping move things. Actually, the kid looked kind of familiar, though from where, who knew. Hard to remember everything with how fast his thoughts usually went. “I didn’t know Nightingale was a father…”
Then again the specialist was notoriously private, and set most meetings online thanks to some sort of medical conditions. So he supposed it would make it easier to be a stay at home dad if he was there already…

I think about the fact Anya locking herself in the infirmary with Curly to kill herself and how it is in way reclaiming a space that was initially hers from Jimmy.
Not to mention how she must've been aware of Jimmy's obsession with Curly and the idea that he would lose his power over the both of them (based on the fact she likely thought they would never get the door open) and having to face the responsibility of two deaths being on his hands as acting captain.
It was her final act of agency stuck on that ship with her abuser and it says something that she chose to die next to Curly, despite his inaction, leaned against him as if they were just in a casual conversation before her death. Despite everything, Anya made the final decision on her own terms and it speaks volumes considering her treatment and demeanor up until that point.

I don't know which is funnier... the concept of the receptionist and the perv being the Martin and Jon we know, who got shoved into this world, and they found their counterparts missing, so they assumed their identities and started doing literal role-play therapy... this world's Martin and Jon got sucked into the computers. OR, the receptionist and the perv are the Martin and Jon who are naturally in this world, they have no concept of spooky things, and are instead struggling with a meet-cute that also has problems of professionalism/dating somebody who is seeing the therapist you work for, meanwhile the Martin and Jon we know really did get shoved into the Windows 95 Cyberspace Matrix
this is actually my understanding of the whole thing (assuming that the cameo in ep 17 is indeed a cameo. Personally, I think this IS a jmart cameo but not a plot relevant one)
Tumblr media
It's established that Darrien came from another dimension, meaning the jmart that he encountered are not from the tmp verse. He also doesn't come from the tma verse because the Jon and Martin from his dimension are presumably living in Oxford and have different jobs. What really bugs me is that Darrien gave a statement sometime before 1999 (before the Institute burned down) so he must have also traveled a few years backwards since jmart would still have been in their tweens/early teens at this time.

dating rin and he barges in through the bathroom door while you’re filming your vogue beauty secrets night skincare routine video because he completely forgot about you mentioning it and thought you were getting ready for bed without him which upset him because it's something he looks forward to at the end of the day - gets home really late everyday and it's a ritual he gets to share with you, a moment to be intimate with you. so when he notices you're recording he just goes "oh." with the most deadpan look on his face, standing by the door apologizing and you very sweetly chuckle and tell him it's okay, with a kiss to his cheek, that you'll help him when you're done. you eventually decide to keep his cameo in the final cut, with his consent, even though you're usually very private dating each other because you thought that it couldn’t hurt to shine a light on your relationship. after all you were proud of him and it feels good to show him off every once in a while. (plus the public is used to his aggression on the field, to star athlete rin itoshi, his cold demeanour and foul mouth and this showed a different side to him, that he could be tame, too. docile.) gets a little embarassed when the video is posted and as soon as he leaves the frame you're telling the camera about how he likes it when you do your nightly routine together. and that his favourite part are the face masks.

SPOILERS (I guess?) The whole Lucanis Wings being controlled by Spite - has me thinking about the final romance scene. Do you think Spite loves Rook too? Or he was just helping out Lucanis?
Ahhh I mean we have confirmation from his writer that "Spite is fond of Rook in his own Spite-like way" and that he trusts them more than anyone else! I personally wouldn't interpret this as romantic, per se, but I think Spite recognizes that Rook is good for Lucanis and feels a little protective/possessive over them because of that?
It could obviously be that the devs just thought it would be a cool effect, but I like to believe that Spite was trying to make them feel safe, maybe? Shielded from the rest of the world. ("These people want to hurt you and take you away? How about NO?", Spite said spitefully.)
We know that spirits don't really feel the same way normal people do and I highly doubt Spite could love someone the way we mean when we say love, but the romance scene makes me think Spite's feelings are probably the closest to (some type of) love they could possibly be. You know... for a demon.
I have no idea though!! I'm just a little guy.
Add on: I still swoon over this though because. What do you mean, the DEMON likes me enough to do that?? He LIKES me?? THE DEMON???? I think that qualifies Rook as Thedas's most specialest princess (gender neutral)

I sort of feel like the fact the woman in anatomy of a fall fits certain stereotypes typically exploited in court and in public perception for negative effect / to make us mistrust her is one of the reasons why I don't actually think she killed her husband (though the film does leave the truth deliberately ambiguous). by this I mean she's a bisexual woman in a tense and crumbling marriage who has had affairs, she's quite straightforward and 'cold' in her manner as opposed to overly people pleasing and forthcoming emotionally, she will defend herself in argument with her husband without qualm or an attempt to claim blame for things she doesn't believe she's culpable for, etc etc.
her husband calls her icy and uncaring, the prosecution accuse her of seduction of an attractive female journalist, and she continues to not let up in court and to fight her corner. and after having conversations with people, including men, after watching, I wonder how many people in the audience, especially men, realise that these are common tropes used against women in the legal system to incriminate them. women are punished much more for being promiscuous and straightforward than men are in comparable situations, and this is why these tropes are played up as being so indicative of guilt in the first place. but interestingly it's the inclusion of all of these stereotypes that make me think we're probably supposed to believe that she is innocent, or at least that makes me think so, in spite of the use of tropes made to suggest she's incapable of loving her husband properly or feeling the correct amount of sorrow over his death.
but anyway, that's just my two cents. I'm actually really interesting in hearing from others whether they think she killed him or not!

okay when i started rewatching house, it took me until 3x15 but i started to notice a pattern in house's wardrobe. the scene where foreman was trying to express sadness(?) at house's (fake) brain cancer they were both wearing pink.
After that I noticed that any time house was wearing pink, they were particularly vulnerable moments. Moments that he's feeling tender or open. Moments where he is being pretty earnest.
Then I started to notice that other colored shirts came up at different times. Light blue was his most neutral state, it represents logic and reason imo. Maybe a little bit of humor. There's a lightness or surface-ness to it.
Purple represents something like consequences or grief or guilt. any time there is purple someone is bearing the weight of a decision that was made, or a complex situation.
Black represents, as you can imagine, death. the darkest moments we see house in black.
The other colors aren't as prominent, but I have theories. Red is sex, power, life, excitement, ego. tan is neutrality. white is almost naive. green is rare and house never wears it. Dark blue is still logic but more solemn, more deep. its also interesting to note the times when he doesn't wear a t-shirt under his dress shirt and leaves like 3 buttons open (hubba hubba) and when he /only/ wears a t-shirt. I think his dress shirt is almost like his armor.

Eh. Vax's rot feels less like a punishment from the Raven Queen and more like a byproduct of fucking with fate, by which I mean there's certainly something he can do about it. It'll probably bring him closer to the Matron.
If we hadn't seen downfall, if someone besides the cast were writing this show, I would be worried. But the Matron loves Vax for his impetuousness and the way he will take any risk for the ones he loves. As pike also pointed out, they're not supposed to serve blindly. To go against the will of the gods is to be mortal. If the Raven Queen is warning him, it's not because she's the one doling out punishments. She HAS to stick to her role and HAS to keep the sanctity of the transition from life to death. Vax violated that and knew he was doing it and that something would happen. He might think right now that he's being punished, that the Matron could or should have just let it happen, but she really, really couldn't (and honestly he's not even mad at her. He's accepted that something must happen. We don't even know if he blames her, but I don't think he does). The part of the Raven Queen who understands is alive and well in her. The part of her allowed to bend rules and defy the order of creation died the day she ascended. The gods do not have freedom in the same way as mortals. Power, yes. But that in and of itself binds them to their stations.
We have to remember that the Raven Queen in tlovm is in fact the same one we've met in the campaigns. She is cold, and she will play her part as she is bound to do. She has little in the way of grace to offer because the entire balance of the world depends on her upholding her station.
Anyway. That rot will either be reversed or it will play into the whole deal about Vax being able to help his friends when he should be dead for a final time. But I don't think hinting at revenant Vax is a punishment. It's a consequence. And Vax accepts it whether it comes from her or not.

So my 40 year old coworker likes to make a lot of dad jokes and in retaliation he now knows way too much information about One Piece than he ever wanted to I'm sure, but he thinks Brook is funny, so I've started leaving Skull Jokes on his desk. Here are the first three.
