tbh, i don’t think i’ve ever enjoyed a show as much as i enjoyed gravity falls. it was such a comfort to me growing up. dipper and mabel reminded me so much of me and my own brother.

i loved seeing all the crazy adventures the twins got up to and would spend hours talking about it to my parents.

i remember the crazy plot twists and meeting ford for the first time.

i remember the year i went as dipper for halloween and feelingly oddly happy that people perceived me as a boy with my pine tree hat and blue vest on.

i remember that i wore that costume to my first con and a bill cosplayer waved at me and my dad and said “hiya pine tree” before walking off with their partner, i still remember how excited that made me, and i remember rambling to my dad about that interaction and being so excited that someone liked my (very beginner) cosplay.

i’m in college now, and i’ve been rewatching the show, and it still hasn’t lost its charm. it’s genuinely one of my favorite shows, if not my favorite. i have LOVED seeing new people watch it and seeing them experience the same crazy adventures i did.

gravity falls had such and insane impact on me and i have finally realized why i picked being dipper over mabel for halloween. i still love that show and every so often ill pick up my copy of journal 3 and read it back to front too many times to count.

this has gotten insanely sappy but man i just love gravity falls.

Kim Roksoo’s parents must have been really sweet and loving people.

Even with all the pain he experienced because of his uncle, and losing his parents, he still didn’t become a bad person when everything was set against him.

Like with the children averaging whatever years old, KRS takes care of them and is in general a good father(I mean I question his lack of communication towards his children, like please tell them you have a healing ability at least tell your kids dude please please please please please) but that’s just a general KRS problem coming from the years and years he spent relying only on himself for various reasons.

His parents probably loved him a lot, they cared for him and they showed him what it was like to be loved. That just makes the fact that they died so early on in his life more terrible. Kim Roksoo may not remember them well, but I like to think that when they were alive, he was happy.
