IT WAS PANIC-INDUCING. The vibrations around him, the randomly-peering eyes that appeared in each corner, no matter where he tried to bury himself to hide away. Being captured by the stick-legged creatures was traumatic enough, his mouth and neck shredded by the futile attempts to flop back into the ocean before he was subdued. Now he was here, in this tiniest of oceans, where suddenly small and big two-legged creatures alike swarmed the place and tapped the glass trying to get his A T T E N T I O N . Olive-colored eyes were shot wide and head turning sharply, strands of glowing gold always were an issue attracting unwanted attention.

NOW HE WAS TRAPPED, gills flaring and expanding as he spoke to the aquatic creatures passing by and appearing like they’ve accepted their fates in this cage. They all told him the same thing - they’ve been here a W H I L E , some even born there, and never seen the world outside. The stick-legged ones were everywhere, and would be coming here almost E V E R Y day for the rest of their lives.

“First day’s the hardest. But them creatures are harmless.” A shark that passed by hearing the conversation pitched in to reassure him. The merman closed an eye when the rough skin of the shark’s nose pushed against his fresh scars. “ ‘cept the ones that did this. But hey you can scare ‘em with their own actions. It’s kinda funny actually.”

“Scare them?” He asked, before getting nudged once more near his damaged gills.

“Follow me. ~” The shark replied, then swam in a direction towards the edge of the waters. He of course followed, watching the large gathering of small and tall creatures on the other side. The smaller ones appeared to be E X C I T E D at first until they saw his and his friend’s faces, most of them backing away or opening their mouth wide. Most of the taller ones, the adults, appeared to stand their ground or even get a little closer to have a better look at the new attraction, not appearing all too scared.

HE TOUCHED THE GLASS, head turning to look at the shark as he swam behind his back. It was nice to know that some of them were scared of them as much as he was scared of the two-legged creatures, but those weren’t the little ones that he was afraid of.

“What about the big ones?” He asked again.

“I could flash mah mouth at ‘em, but they seem more disturbed by you than me.” The shark nibbled on the golden merman’s scars again - which got Q U I T E the reaction from the creatures on the other side - and turned to swim away. “See? You’ve got a nice power there, use it wisely.”

Before Jason makes his debut as Red Hood, he goes apartment hunting.

And the thing about Gotham is, all of the apartments that would make for good safe houses, are safe houses. The Bat’s safe houses. If Jason wants to set up shop, he’s got to get creative. This means being willing to look the other way about some things. Namely, living with other people.

Jason gets a roommate.

Sure, he’d found a couple of spots that fit some of the criteria he used for making safe houses, but not all apartments were equal. And having a semi-functioning civilian cover was useful. Sometimes.

All this to say that Jason responded to a craigslist post of some guy looking for a roommate. The post was written well enough, decent grammar and a fair enough price. Unlike some of the places he’d “toured.”

He has to trudge up a few flights of stairs to get to the place, because roof access is always high on the priority list, and knocks on the door. He waits a few minutes, hears someone check the peephole, and then the sound of at least five separate locks being undone.

With the door finally open, he gets a good look at the guy’s face. Too good of a look, actually.

Because the man who opens it is Dick Grayson.

I know the classic design stuff is supposed to be all sillies. But I do wonder if classic Stone misses home sometimes, misses his Life.

At the end of the day, he doesn't know Robotnik. Doesn't really have the context to the man, nor why he got brought there. He saw someone that? Looked like him? And a man who looked like this Robotnik fellow? And they kidnapped him and brought him there and...

Idk, I feel like there's a weird angst niche in this crack au?

The sad thing is that he really doesn't.

Stone mentioned that he couldn't imagine another version of himself being happy without having met the Doctor. He was right. Classic Stone didn't actually have anything going on. He lived in the Star Light Zone, he talked to the bomb badniks every now and then, and he prepared lots of coffees and drinks, but he had no friends nor any real hobby. He was just... bored.

While he was, indeed, kidnapped and taken to Eggman, Stone is free to leave. No one has said as much, but he knows this. What he doesn't know is that, if he does leave, Eggman will probably stalk him not so subtly. But he won't stop him from leaving. He has decided to stay because he's curious about this whole thing, and a bit amused by how awkward Eggman is around him. Stone hasn't even asked questions about why he was taken to this man, because he thinks the mystery is fun.

I also used this as an apportunity to draw Stone in the Star Light Zone.

“Grandmother is visiting,” Damian suddenly said with no warning and with his usual not-quite demanding tone. 

“Who?” Tim wasn’t the only one to startle, seeing as Bruce had practically froze, a downturn to his lips in a silent show of confusion. 

Damian scowled. “Are you deaf Drake? Grandmother is coming to Gotham to, quote, make sure I am being properly cared for.” None of them had known that Ras was with anyone actually. At least Tim was pretty sure that would have been in the files. 

“Oh?” Dick didn’t quite crouch to Damian’s height but it was a near thing. “She-” “He,” Damian corrected, interrupting him. They all exchanged a glance before Dick continued. 

“Is he coming to the Manor or…” 

Damian scoffed again, a tiny bit of a flush against his face. “No, Grandmother will most likely be staying with Akhi-”

Transformers ARK! The Twins

Sunstreaker, the self-proclaimed "eldest" of the two is cocky and egotistical. Most bots find him hard to approach so they simply steer clear. He takes great pride in his unstable reputation, and wouldn't be caught dead doing anything to break character. The only bot who seems to be able to put up with him is his twin, Sideswipe. And even though the two are rarely apart, they sometimes seem to barely even like each other. Despite preferring isolation, Sunstreaker has always been secretly jealous of how easily Sideswipe can make friends, and how other bots like his brother over him.

Sideswipe, while just as aggressive at times, can be much more relaxed and playful than his brother. He's funny and friendly, and can quickly gain favor with others. It's unfortunate that most bots are too scared to approach him considering who he's always hanging out with. Sometimes Sideswipe is resentful of the shadow he's constantly living in, and wishes Sunstreaker wasn't setting the standards of what bots grow to expect of him.

It would probably help both of their insecurities if they weren't so codependent, but no one's had the guts to try and tell them that yet.

HOT TAKE: Even after Unicron upgraded him, Megatron had to pick barnacles off himself for a good long while. I can’t imagine all the underwater critters that probably moved into him as a corpse. Maybe he wasn’t down there quite that long, but I’m sure he didn’t get away 100% critter-free. Barnacle boy Megs. Who else is here for that

Would you guys burn me at the stake if I say that I think Chrysalis is actually a really important insight into Julian's character and his view on his own life and the people around him at the time it takes place. It's an episode that doesn't hold up today cause of the very ableist writing and kind of shitty moral but I think it's necessary that it's there and also occurs at the time it does in the show

I'll have a more insightful analysis on it one day cause I really want to talk about it (I want to make better researched ds9 analyses with actual clips from the show and whatnot instead of just vaguely referencing events from memory that could be completely wrong but unfortunately I do not have the time to be doing all of that. I would really like to in the future though)

I enjoy the implication in Origins that Zevran isn't a very good fighter when we meet him and then after Origins he was utterly terrorizing the Crows. All the levels he gained in the Warden's party actually made him a canonically, significantly more dangerous fighter than he was when the Warden met him.

soo funny how my idea of 2p canada and france's relationship changed over time. in an old ask i was like "matthieu was his son 😔he loved him more than anything..."

my thoughts nowadays are more along the lines of: francois saw matthieu as some weird tumor that fell off him and gained sentience. he couldn't have cared less about canada. and he wouldn't regret feeling that way for a long, long time (way after the damage was done)

Danny would like everyone to know it was a complete accident. Look, normally he was really good at not altering the timeline! He was! 

But the dude was definitely not in the right Time, and he had to get his trust which took so long, like damn he thought he had anxiety. Seriously though, kevlar in the 1700s? Yeah that wasn’t right, and Peepaw always complained about the messes that the speedsters caused, so he was trying to prevent a mess by tugging the dude away and helping him out. 

Falling in love maybe a little, was not in the plan. But honestly the man had a worse sense of self preservation than he did as a teen and was also straight up adorable, in a wet cat  who could kill you sort of way. 

So maybe he helped the dude grab a child that was going to be drowned. It wasn’t like anyone else saw them! Even if similar situations might’ve happened a few different times. 

Still, no one saw them! 

So why is there now a small cult who worships the Shadowed one and Radiant one, aka his companion (who would not give his name save for B, which, fair, probably didn’t want to accidentally wreck the timeline either) and well, him?! At least they worship them as guardians of children, but uh. Should he maybe, perhaps, fix this…?

FLAMING HOT TAKE INCOMING, DISCLAIMER FIRST: punch out is a game with no lore and little to no characterization so it’s natural that different people have different takes on a character and I 10000% respect that and I love seeing how people interpret stuff differently from me!!!!! this is not a dig or a diss this is just personal observation!!!!!!!!!!

i don’t get why the overall fandom consensus is that don flamenco is head over heels in love with the blonde lady [that the fandom calls Carmen (this I do understand why)] in his cinematic trailer. it’s always been apparent to me that this guy is supposed to be like a casanova/serial womanizer/harem enthusiast douchebag kinda guy.

1. country of origin and profession: every enemy character in this game is supposed to be an exaggerated cultural stereotype/caricature, so it’s natural to assume that most of their character traits are not meant to subvert audience expectations, and flamenco is no exception! Spaniards are stereotyped as carelessly romantic, and toreadors seem to be associated with more socially conservative or dare I say, sexist/woman objectifying behavior. it would be logical to presume that flamenco also embodies these traits

2. contender intro slideshow: most people (and I as well) like to use the final slide of his contender intro as evidence of his romantic status. however, I fail to see how it shows him as faithful; on the contrary, the fact that the girls around “Carmen” are a. (for one of them) also wearing roses - the same color as the one he’s giving her, in fact - and b. clearly looking shocked and disgusted seems to show me that those girls were also the object of flamenco’s short-lived affection and that the blonde girl is just his next “target” so to speak.

now how to justify his in-battle voice lines referring to his affection for carmen? well look no further than Carmen, the opera by Bizet, where the titular Carmen ends up being with a toreador (like don flamenco). it could be possible that he uses “Carmen” as a pet name for all of his flings rather than the actual name of his one true love

please feel free to prove me wrong bc I see nobody else with this interpretation and I wanna know why everyone agrees that he’s a faithful boyfriend/malewife lmao

I love this show btw like, how many more things you think it will twist and showcase in a different light as the story goes on? What other secrets is it hiding? What other lies and truths lay out there? What seemingly threatening or innocent actions will mean more or less than what it first seemed?
