Who loves Rook: Spite or Lucanis
I've been seeing a lot of discourse about this, and I just want to add my thoughts.
I might be totally wrong about this, but here we go. When Spite was put into Lucanis, he was still Determination. The fact that he changed throughout the torture, forced insertion, and imprisonment suggests to me that they have been put into a speedrun of a similar situation to Anders and Justice/Vengeance where they have started to meld. (As Anders put it, you wouldn't know where one begins and the other ends). Just like Anders and Vengeance, Lucanis and Spite can have separate consciousnesses and even disagree about things, but their core values have started to influence one another and become a part of one another- heightening certain aspects.
I think this melding is why we see some dialogues where Rook tells Lucanis that he sounds like Spite and similarly it's also the reason for the shared attraction- which I fully believe is coming originally from Lucanis.
I'll be honest my first time through I romanced Lucanis and was very disappointed. I didn't even see him and Neve ever flirt (she only ever encouraged us!) But still, it seemed to go from 0 to 60 with him. Now, I am on my second playthrough and I only just met him, but I am starting to see some really subtle looks and dialogues that suggest that Lucanis wasn't lying later when he said he was attracted to Rook from the beginning, but was afraid to really pursue anything or even acknowledge the possibility of being with them. With his fear of trusting people, ptsd from the prison, failed history in romance, and his new situation with Spite that he still hadn't worked out yet, he never thought anything would or could ever come of his feelings. We know Lucanis loves romance stories and likely longs for one of his own, but in such a situation it must have seemed truly impossible and terrifying to let someone else in. Especially someone you really care for and are starting to trust. So, he pushed it all down. Rook flirts? Maybe a small smile, but then quickly lock it all up with everything else he can't handle. Focus on work. Don't think about Spite, or Rook, or anything difficult.
However, if the melding has already happened as I suspect, then the feelings Spite is expressing are shared with (and likely sourced from) Lucanis, he's just better at expressing it directly- which makes sense for a spirit that was once Determination. When you first talk to Lucanis after the rescue, the thing Spite says about Rook changes accordingly to your tone, but to me the responses still sound like they come from Lucanis and are then echoed in Spite: "He doesn't want to hurt us." Even the "He's more fun than you" is something Lucanis seems to think about himself as he is fully aware that much of his life has not been his own and believes "all he knows is death."
Leading back to the main point, Lucanis's trust and interest in Rook would be heightened by Spite the way Anders' anger towards the templars was heightened. Even though they are finally free from the prison, their is a sense of constant suffering from still feeling trapped by fear, regret, and pain- Spite feels that suffering too. The elements of determination are still within him the same way justice is another side to vengeance. Both spite and vengeance are the results of failing to achieve their goals of Justice and Determination. Spite sees Rook as a way to free them from pain and restraint, a glowing and beautiful key to the prison door, and he is determined to do what needs to be done to solve the problem. That's why he doesn't hesitate. He has no fear. He wants to talk to Rook. He wants Rook to come in and free them.
After Rook has freed them, they become a source of comfort and safety, once they encourage Lucanis and Spite to find a way to cohabit comfortably, the two continue to meld, and the need to protect Rook, to love Rook, to keep them, is very deeply shared. Now, IF Spite was somehow removed or even somehow restored (Both of which I think are impossible) that would likely change. Determination outside of Lucanis would likely become more like Compassion. He would likely forget the horrors he experienced to return to his original purpose.
So, that leaves some final questions, particularly one Hawke helpfully asked Anders- Is Spite an unwilling party in the threesome?
That's up to everyone's own morality. While both Spite and Lucanis didn't have a choice to become like this, it is the situation they are in and the way they have to find a way to accept and live with because there really doesn't seem to be any real way to change it. Through their time together, Lucanis and Spite have influenced each other and grown into something new. Part of that is Spite also loving Rook. In that way, for those who are feeling (rightfully) underwhelmed by Lucanis's romance, Spite can almost be seen as a symbolic expression of Lucanis's love.
All that being said, I think there were some small things they could have done to make the romance more satisfying over all...but I'll save that for another post.

Wonderful freedom
In a long time there used to be a group of demons that lived in the human world. They were extremely lustful demons but sadly their bodies were not attractive to them. These demons that craved hot bodies came to the human world. They often lured many humans into falling for their sweet offers. Humans who fell for their sweet offers would eventually have their bodies snatched away. These demons would then possess humans.
Legend also says that it was so greedy for male genitalia that it didn't care whose body it belonged to. Kings, royalty, knights, peasants, and many others were possessed by the demon and used for sexual purposes.
Fortunately, at one point, the world of those demons was sealed off by a group of people with special powers, and the stories of demons possessing human male bodies were gradually forgotten.
When he finished reading, Brandon closed the book. âThese legends are so ridiculous, where in the world would there be demons possessing men for sexual purposes?â Brandon complained about the collection of stories he had rented from a bookstore.
The handsome young man, Brandon, put down his book and prepared to go to the library to return the boring book he had borrowed.
Shortly after Brandon returned the book, he began wandering around the large library, looking for interesting books to take home and read.
But suddenly the library became dark. Even though he wondered what was going on, he continued walking to find the book he wanted to read. He walked back and forth in the darkness where he could see things.
After a while, he found a strange-looking book. It was a black book with an eye in the middle. At first, Brandon thought it was just a fancy book with just plain paper inside.
But as he was about to walk away, his mind felt strange, as if his body was being led to open that book, his mind ordered it to be that book, he slowly walked over to touch the book, when he picked it up, he felt that something was definitely going to happen, but he still couldn't stop himself from opening the book.
When he opened it, he looked inside, there were countless unknown characters, and those characters slowly floated out, they gathered together and turned into a large smoke, as the large smoke in front of him rushed into his body, a large amount of smoke entered his body through his mouth, causing Brandon's body to twist, his muscles twitched, and his eyes rolled back.
The book cover slowly crawled into the smoke, and the strange-looking book turned into an ordinary book.
Brandon's body, which was inhaled by the strange smoke, slowly twisted his muscles and moved his neck a few times before speaking with an evil smile, "I confess, I'm free now. That stupid seal only locked me for a few hundred years. Do you think I can't wait?"
A demon that desires a human body like mine can live for hundreds of thousands of years, it wouldn't know. The demon possessing Brandon replied yes as his body rubbed against it. "Wow, it seems I hit the jackpot, this body is insane, these muscles are making me horny," a large tent formed between Brandon's legs.
But unfortunately, I don't have enough power. I'll let this guy control his body for now while I take my time to recover and devour him. Haha, after speaking, Brandon's eyes rolled back and forth, he regained control of himself, and he couldn't remember anything about the strange book. "What happened? Oh yeah, I got the book from the library. Oh, I can't remember. Never mind, let's go home."
After that, about a month passed. ŕšŕ¸ŕ¸Łŕ¸ŕ¸ŕ¸ŕ¸ŕ¸ŕ¸łŕ¸Ľŕ¸ąŕ¸ŕ¸ŕ¸ąŕšŕ¸ŕ¸Şŕ¸ŕ¸˛ŕ¸˘ŕš ŕ¸ŕ¸˘ŕ¸šŕšŕšŕ¸ŕ¸ŕšŕ¸˛ŕ¸ŕ¸Ťŕ¸Ľŕ¸ąŕ¸ŕ¸ŕ¸˛ŕ¸ŕ¸ŕ¸łŕ¸ŕ¸¸ŕ¸Łŕ¸°ŕ¸Ąŕ¸˛ŕ¸ŕ¸ąŕšŕ¸ŕ¸§ŕ¸ąŕ¸ ŕšŕ¸Ąŕ¸ˇŕšŕ¸ŕšŕ¸ŕ¸˛ŕ¸Łŕ¸šŕšŕ¸Şŕ¸śŕ¸ŕšŕ¸ŕ¸Ľŕ¸ŕš ŕšŕ¸ŕ¸ŕšŕ¸ŕ¸
âAhh, what happened?â Brandonâs body didnât listen to his commands, it started moving on its own without his control, his muscles tensed, his penis hardened uncontrollably.
His hands were rubbing his body, now Brandon's mind was spinning, instead of being afraid, his mind was enjoying this feeling, the feeling that something was slowly taking over him, his eyes rolled back, that was the last time the real Brandon was conscious, suddenly his eyes returned to normal.
I'm so horny
The devil has taken over Brandon's body.
Okay, I have to deal with my hard cock first. One hand unzipped my pants and pulled out my big, thick, long cock from my pants.
His thick hand lightly touched the large cock, the other hand played with the nipple that was on his shirt. The moans of a man possessed by a demon echoed throughout the room that only he could hear.
Soon, the new Brandon was chasing after the climax, the speed of his hand was increasing, the rhythm was becoming unstable. In no time, the moan of the possessed man was heard along with the semen flowing out of the tip of his cock. âAhhhhh.â
Brandon took a weak breath, this was his first release after being sealed away. He picked up his phone and found news of a new park being built in a nearby town. âOh yeah, thatâs where another one of my friends is locked up. I should probably go help him out, since he has the same taste in body possession as me.
Then the devil took a photo of himself with his new hot body a few hours later. The new Brandon was busy masturbating all night long.
After finishing, I must say that this story will have a sequel where Brandon will release the demons that are imprisoned in various places. Let's see what kind of demon friends the new Brandon will meet. See you, bye.

Time for more because. Because!
first off: wanna point this out: Meme games
The fact that the minigame format like Meme is used for WOTFI instead of the using the usual non-minigame challenges, or the choose your own adventure of WOTFI 2023 despite the whole âWe should really do this again sometimeâ
And Just... That's Puzzles' whole thing. Don't know what to make of that!
and... this
hehehe⌠sillies⌠Second, some stuff from other posts Iâve made and discussions Iâve had I wanna stick here so itâs all in one place. Colored text is new stuff if you've read the other posts already and don't want to read repeat info and musings. Alternatively if you havenât read the post and you want to. I got links.
First from here: Puzzles and Four both struggle with empathy to some extent. Four has more practice with the aspects of empathy that can be learned (cognitive empathy) but itâs still something he usually needs to actively think about, which is something he forgets to do sometimes. Puzzles sucks at just about every form of empathy. But they both still care very deeply for the people they consider friends (see reblog above about protectiveness)
Also Four and Puzzles both put people through torment for content. Puzzles with just about everything he does, Four with stuff like âI put Mario in Danger for Viewsâ âMario Does Literally Anything for Viewsâ and this
Next, this.
Mario only is friends with SMG4 as a result of not being the Mario he was before Four showed up. When Mario is briefly turned back during the Lawsuit arc, Four and Meggy make him back into the Mario they're friends with without any input from him. This sorta parallels the whole Leggy situation in a weird way. In addition, Puzzles brainwashes people to make them more entertaining and cooperative for his shows. The USB SMG4 arrived in did the same thing for Four automatically as soon as he arrived.
And!
We're talking about It's Gotta Be Perfect again. Puzzles gets a fatal error that tells him to contact the manufacturers, then we get eye imagery. Then we get the IGBP Goop.
Notably, this happens when Leggy is turned back into Meggy. In other words, when Puzzles loses his only friend and source of support. I've gone on and on about how what snapped Four out of it in IGBP is his friends and being reassured they'll always be by his side, and what that means for Puzzles. and this is just... another instance of that.
But with the Goop, there's something else. It seems to be tied to strong emotions, but the fact that it shows up when Four is worried about being left behind for not being good enough--and being reassured otherwise is what allows him to break free-- AND the fact that with Puzzles it shows up when he loses his only friend and wants her back...
And, well... This...
(Seriously what was up with the stuff that happened to Three in IGBP I feel like we donât talk about it enough) It's... well, it's something. Puzzles would do ANYTHING anything to not lose his friend, regardless of if said friend is okay with it. I don't know if Four's quite to that point, but he's... adjacent to that, at the very least.
The desperation to be seen... and the eye imagery associated with the Goop... itâs something
...Not wanting to be left behind, wanting to hold on to the people you have... wanting to be perfect...
Well... I mean, it parallels other characters, too.
(With Niles Specifically, I can't help but think that the Goop is some kind of virus similar to Niles/Eldritch Zero. I mean, it was invoked by an adware)
On the subject of characters other than SMG3 and SMG4 that parallel Puzzles, let's talk about Clench and Tari.
Both Puzzles' TV head Clench are prosthetics in a way, and Puzzles can transport people into TV shows, while Tari can, with Clench, do the same with video games. And for what it's worth, with Western Spaghetti, they're sort of on the same... frequency? Tari being able to interface with the simulation and hijack Puzzles' signal to bring forth dancing Mario.
AND
Oh and also Puzzle has parallels with Axol as well.
I mean just...
friendless childhood to becoming obsessed with media to creating that media (still obsessive).
And.. resourcefulness?
Yeah we'll call it resourcefulness.
Puzzles Parallels Post
feel like I keep repeating things over various reblog chains and stuff and my thoughts are never all in one place so. This where I keep linking said reblog chains. One of which has an endpoint that does not involve me but sshhh.
Mr. Puzzles and SMG4 have SO much in common. Four comes pretty close to Puzzles-level bad on some occasions and they share a lot of the same insecurities
I believe part of the reason Puzzles targeted Four in the first place (because I doubt âYouâre the stupidest show Iâve ever seen!â Is the only reason) is because itâs easy to exploit the insecurities of someone who has the same insecurities as you, because you know that feeling in and out. Even if for Puzzles he probably didnât have a lot of self awareness about it. Probably something more along the lines of âOh, this guy clearly cares the correct amount about pleasing an audience and the quality of his content! But heâs not even good at it! I can use this!â
The difference is that Four has friends. He has a support system to pull him out of it when these insecurities start to make him spiral. Puzzles does not have that and frankly seems to have given up on ever attaining it. Twice.
AND THEN THEREâS ALSO THE PARALLELS WITH SMG3
Because part of it is because SMG3 and SMG4 already parallel each other so you canât have Puzzles parallel one without the other.
But ALSO! Very similar motivations of wanting to be seen and appreciated. With a side of pettiness and jealousy. Also this
And this was also an incredibly SMG3 adjacent moment
But also the show keeps calling attention to SMG3âs difficulty making friends. Which is also Puzzlesâ whole thing.
I need them to actually go somewhere with this so bad. Because 3 and 4 might be the only people who can actually understand Puzzles. Or at least let them understand themselves better as a result of Puzzles.
I NEED the âYou and I arenât so differentâ moment SO BAD!!

I need to see James scolding Oliver and taking care of him after what happened with the human kid. James could have the responsible role for once in his life đ
Happens directly after this!!
Oliver is certainly due for a bit of pampering. Enjoy! ^^
---
âMay I have some ice please?â
James yelped at the sound of Oliver's voice, slamming the fridge door shut to reveal the borrower standing there on the counter, looking as nonchalant as usual. But there was something off about his body language⌠he raised an eyebrow, seeing how his friend was favouring one side and holding his ribs.
âYou're hurt.â It wasn't a question. James wasn't stupidâ it didn't exactly take a detective to figure that out.
Oliver nodded, wincing slightly again as he breathed in. Now that the adrenaline was no longer running as readily through his system it hurt much more. Even though his legs weren't injured, it hurt to standâ like holding up his own weight irritated the bruises around his midsection.
He glanced down and lifted his jumper slightly, revealing the dark purple marks that had formed. He felt some fascination, looking at those finger shaped bruises, but mostly it just hurt.
James gasped, his hands reaching down and quickly but gently scooping Oliver up into them as he raised the tiny man to his eye level.
âBloody hellâ you're as purple as a blummin blueberry, mate..!â He pointed out, fussing over the injuries with careful fingers, trying to figure out where they ended. They seemed to cover his whole torso. âWhat the hell happened??â
Oliver groaned a little, pushing his jumper back down and waving off Jamesâs concerned fingers.
âIt is still very sensitiveâŚplease be gentle, James.â He scolded lightly, finding that even the smallest accidental pressure sent an stabbing ache throughout his body. He shakily sat up on his forearms, looking up at his friend's apologetic and concerned gaze.
âIt wasâŚa child. She was much too young to be on her own, and so I accompanied her until her mother returned. Nothing is broken.â After a few beats of uncertainty Oliver added, âI thinkâŚâ
âYou think!?â James exclaimed. A sigh escaped his lips as his free hand reached up to scratch at his facial hair, brows furrowed. âThis is severe, Oliver. An injury like that would have most humans in the hospital.â
The borrower huffed, clearly embarrassed by all of the fuss, but he didn't tell James to put him down.
âI am not a human. I am a borrower. We have better immune systems and our bodies heal faster. I will be fine once I get ice.â He rebutted. The finger behind him curled over and began to rub at his back, making Oliver inhale sharply. At first it hurt, but after a few seconds it felt pleasant and he couldn't help but lean back into the sensation.
James's brows furrowed further, a concerned frown on his face as he continued to gently stroke his back.
âMmmâŚno. I'll get you the ice, mate, but until that's all healed I don't feel comfortable with you flying around and whatnot.â He knew Oliver wasn't stupid and would not do things he didn't think he was capable of doing with those injuries, but still. James's finger stopped rubbing at his back, not wanting to go too hard and make the bruise spread.
He could see that Oliver was shaking with effort just to hold himself up. If his ribs were broken, he really needed to rest and not move around too much. But for as sensible as his friend was, James also knew him to be stubborn.
âI have too much to do⌠I need to update the files I just went and checked the houses for before I forget, and I need to make blackberry jam before the blackberries deteriorate too much andââ
A thumb came up and covered his mouth before he could finish, and Oliver shot the human an unimpressed look for the interruption. He knew that if he tried to move it away James would oblige, but he didn't really have the energy to lift his arms without it hurting.
âAh ah. I know you like to keep to your schedule, but it's not the end of the world if you don't. You're overworking yourself. Let me take care of youâ at least for a few daysâ okay?â He removed his thumb after saying his piece, watching for Oliver's answer.
For all the time he had known the borrower, he had learned a lot about his personality and how to tell when something was wrong. Oliver liked to act like he had everything under control at all times; always keeping a cool head and thinking logicallyâ but the reality was that he was just as fragile as any other borrower.
James didn't care to baby him. Oliver was, after all, an adult with his own life and way of doing things. But there was a point where he thought it was best to insist that Oliver accept that he needed help.
Of course, if he insisted against it James wasn't going to hold him against his willâ but he would definitely complain about the decision.
Oliver squinted up at him, his hair dishevelled from earlier, and pain radiating all around his body. He knew that his friend wouldn't dare force help upon him, but he also knew that if he refused he would just worry him in the process.
âAlright. Those are acceptable conditions⌠a few days.â He agreed, nodding his head and releasing a sigh of exasperation as he lay back instead of holding himself up. He shut his eyes, recognising how exhausted his body felt after the hour or so of constant play and man handling.
Although he didn't regret it, Jamesâs more tender and aware hands were a welcome change. With any other human Oliver always had to instruct them on how to hold him correctlyâ and deal with the consequences when they simply couldn't get it right. With JamesâŚhe was always careful. Oliver didn't have to worry about anything; he could just close his eyes, relax, and rest assured that his grip would never become too tight or invasive.
James let out a sigh of relief when Oliver relented, and seeing how he relaxed; clearly drained from what he had gone through; Jamesâs thumb lightly stroked his shoulder in a gesture of support.
âThanks.â His thumb moved away again, not overstaying its welcome as he instead bent down to open the freezer, rummaging around. âLetâs get you some ice then. I could swear I have something for bruises in the first aid kit, I'll just have to have a bit of faff for itâŚâÂ
Oliver turned onto his side, eyes still closed as he got a bit more comfortable.
âMmâŚdon't worry too much if you don't. Bruises like this usually stop hurting after a week unless the bones are bruised tooâŚâ He assured, waving a hand dismissively, not wanting James to go too out of his way for him.
James raised an eyebrow down at the borrower he was currently cradling in one hand, holding him out of the way of the freezer's cold chill.
âHow often do you get hurt like this? Be honest.â He wasn't scolding him, but it did upset him to think about how many times Oliver must have been through this before for him to know that.
Oliver hummed in thought, opening his eyes after a few moments and looking up into the brown eyes above him.
âI'd say between one and two times annually. You know I cannot stand by and watch someone else suffer⌠The poor girl was only four, she can hardly help it that she didn't know her own strength, James. She took to my instructions fairly well, considering that fact.â He defended.
âJesus Oliver, you could die! Come on, mate. This isn't healthyâ I know you don't like to do it, but sometimes you just have to leave things be. Save yourself the pain.â He shook his head, focusing on the freezer again to find the little plastic cubes he kept so that he would have something closer to Oliver's size. He picked one up and shut the freezer. âWas she alright at least? Nothing I need to report?â
Oliver nodded once more.
âShe was fine. It wasn't a serious situation, just a moment of forgetfulness on her parentsâ part. I saw no signs of any maltreatment, and she seemed to be at a normal development for a child that age. Speech, movementâŚall fine.â He assured.
James tore off a piece of kitchen roll and wrapped it around the cube before offering it forward to Oliver gingerly. The borrower took it, wincing at first as the cold made contact with his marked skin before relaxing, allowing it to numb the area.
âI was about to make some lunch. I have leftover curry that I was gonna heat up with some microwave rice, if you want to join. Chicken korma.â He offered, opening the fridge again next and taking out the tub of curry and setting it on the side. âI think I have a pack of naanâŚsomewhereâŚâ
âFor as much food as you have, you really should keep things more organised, James. If you don't know what you have, you'll end up throwing away things you've forgotten about when they don't keep.â Oliver scolded lightly.
James gently poked Oliver in the cheek with his pinkie as he let out a gasp of indignation.
âOi! You're starting to sound more and more like my mother every time you stay here.â He responded in mock offence, although the grin of amusement made it obvious he was only joking. Oliver had learned that was a sign of his sarcasm, and James was delighted to see the slight smile on his face too. âYou want korma or not?â
Oliver let out a small chuckle. Although it hurt to laugh, it also felt nice and warm. James's humour, although difficult to comprehend at first, it was now something that the borrower greatly appreciated. He nodded.
âAlright. That sounds good.â

What woul happen if the yandere JLâs darlings were all put in the watchtower during a crisis, and in the chaos they managed to sneak through the zeta tubes and escaped. I know that theyd be found pretty fast once JL get back from saving the world, but do you think they would assume that all the Darkings are together so the JL would work together or do you think theyâd just try to find their own?
Also on a separate note, you donât gotta answer it, how do you think they would react to a (temporarily) successful escape?
Yandere justice league x reader
The Watchtowerâs alarms were silent now, but a different kind of tension gripped the Justice League. Minutes earlier, theyâd been rushing around, responding to one of the most critical crises the world had faced in years. Now, they stood in the aftermath, but not with reliefâno, this was something sharper. A missing piece was gnawing at each of them.
You were gone.
Their precious oneâthe single soul whoâd united their hearts in quiet devotionâhad slipped through their fingers. Batmanâs hands clenched at his sides as he scanned the security logs; he read it once, then twice, as if sheer will could change the words on the screen. You had left through the Zeta tubes while they were busy saving lives.
âTheyâre⌠gone?â Supermanâs voice was tight, disbelief coloring his usual calm.
Wonder Woman was already pacing, her brow furrowed. âHow? Why would they leave?â
âThey were alone,â Batman answered grimly. âThey saw an opening and took it.â
A tense silence filled the room. Each hero felt a different mix of hurt and panic. What if you were in danger? What if youâd wandered too far, faced the world without their protection? You were theirs, their delicate wonder, something theyâd all fought so hard to keep close. But youâd run. Run from them.
Flash, always quick to act, turned to the others. âWe find them. Fast. Before they get hurt.â There was a tremor in his voice; the idea of you lost, out in a world that didnât understand you, cut deep.
Jâonn closed his eyes, his telepathy sweeping outward, stretching to every corner of Earth to reach your mind. When he opened his eyes, his calm was fractured by worry. âTheyâre masking their presence,â he said. âThey donât want us to find them.â
The idea left a bitter taste, a realization that perhaps youâd felt smothered under their protection, longing for air, for a world that wouldnât press in around you like steel walls. But they knew better. The world was not kind, and you were far too vulnerable. You needed their protection, even if you thought you didnât.
âSpread out,â Superman ordered, his tone low and steady. âWe find them.â
They tracked you down in a small, quiet town, the kind of place that didnât notice the worldâs troubles. Youâd chosen this sleepy corner, this slice of silence, to escape them. But it wasnât long before they found you, gathered outside the door of your motel room.
The door opened, and there you wereâfree, independent, even defiant. It made their hearts twist painfully.
Superman stepped forward first, his blue eyes fierce with worry. âDid you really think you could run from us?â His voice was steady, but beneath it lay a softness, like the calm before a storm. âThe world isnât safe for you. You know that.â
Batman was close behind him, gaze dark as he took in the room. âYou wanted freedom,â he said, his voice barely above a whisper, but the weight of it hit like a blow. âBut that freedom could get you hurt, or worse.â
Wonder Woman took a gentle step closer, her gaze full of a sorrow that spoke to the depths of her heart. âDo you not trust us to protect you?â she asked. âWe love you. Every one of us would give anything to keep you safe.â
Your lips parted, a protest or maybe an explanation forming, but it was silenced by the intensity of their eyesâthose gazes that held a fierce, unyielding devotion. The softness of Jâonnâs presence brushed against your mind, as if to offer reassurance, but it only made the room feel smaller, more claustrophobic.
âWe searched the entire world,â Flash murmured, stepping closer. âWe canât lose you. Donât you get that?â His eyes were full of an uncharacteristic desperation, something that twisted like vines around his heart.
They formed a circle around you, each face full of emotion: Supermanâs relentless worry, Batmanâs grim resolve, Wonder Womanâs compassionate sorrow, Flashâs urgent concern, Jâonnâs quiet protection. You were theirs, woven into each of their lives, a shared heartbeat theyâd die to protect.
âWeâre bringing you home,â Superman said, his deep voice gentle yet unyielding.
Your shoulders slumped, knowing the battle was over. Theyâd won, as they always didânot with anger, but with a love so consuming that it left you feeling like a bird caught in a cage lined with velvet. It was beautiful, this love, but you could feel its weight, pressing down like chains that sparkled under the light.
As they led you back to the Zeta tube, each of them stayed close, a wall of devotion surrounding you. There was no anger left in their eyes, only a quiet, unbreakable determination. They would bring you home, lock you back within their world, and keep you there, safe from the dangers you could never understand.
And as the Zeta tube activated, taking you back to the Watchtower, you could feel the promise each of them made in their hearts.
You were theirsâand this time, they would never let you go.
(A/n: kinda don't fw this....đ)

I hate Act III, sorry. All the second season was too rushed and some characters that didn't deserve a happy ending got it, and those who have been suffering got the worst ending.
Acts I and II were good, but III is the worst.
In case someone hasn't seen Act III yet, ARCANE ACT III SPOILERS
No one cares but here's a list of the things I hated:
Too rushed, I think we needed another season BEFORE this one
WTF Caitvi sex scene IN JINX'S CELL, RIGHT AFTER SHE LEFT. That's so disrespectful and stupid, Vi wasn't in the right state of mind, as much as I love Caitvi, putting that scene there was a mistake
I'm sorry but I also hate Timebomb (I'm a Lightcannon shipper, which is funny because Lux doesn't even show up in Arcane, but one can dream though fanarts)
Jinx surrendering (why we didn't even get a flashback scene?) and being imprisoned like a dog. Yet the enforcers were never punished
Vi not listening to Jinx telling her MULTIPLE TIMES to get out of there, and because of her, Jinx sacrifices herself (yes, I know she's most likely alive. But that brings my next point:)
Jinx not getting a happy ending at all. She lost everyone, right when she was about to get rehabilitated, Isha dies right in front of her. And we didn't get any Sevika dialogue with her, not even trying to save Jinx (Sevika surely didn't know, but at least a scene where she looks for Isha and Jinx???)
The final scene where Vi is only seen with Caitlyn. Yes, I knew they'd end up together and they deserve it, but what about everything that happened? Losing all her family? Learning to fight just to lose everything and everyone? Ekko not talking to Vi at all after the war? Vi not mourning Jinx?
Why make Jayce and Mel be together if they were going to forget about it and act like it didn't happen? (I prefer Jayvik, but that's another story)
Jinx saving Caitlyn, but apparently that didn't matter at all. Jinx killed her mother, yes. But enforcers killed countless of people, including Jinx and Vi's parents. Even if Jinx surrendered, why put her in that isolated jail? That was Caitlyn's grief acting
Honestly I don't know why Isha had to sacrifice herself, I feel it was too unnecessary, just to traumatize Jinx even more and kill Warwick again.
I wanted to see more of Vi, of her life in prison and before their parents died (besides Vander's memories). But they put too much focus on Caitlyn and the Caitvi
Caitlyn (and every enforcer) didn't get punish at all for their crimes. Caitlyn became a dictator because Jinx killed her mother, but countless of children saw their own parents be murdered in front of them, and now they're the bad guys for attacking back? Mind you, at least Jinx aimed her weapon to the Council, the people who oppressed them. But Piltover kills civilians like nothing, putting CHILDREN in jail. At the end, they end up like the good guys, giving Zaun a seat in the Council. When they should have fought for it, making Piltover pay for everything they've done. Which brings my next two points:
Zaun is never set free, it's still part of Piltover
Following the previous point: Caitlyn becomes a dictator, Viktor a cult god who almost destroys the world. But Jinx is so unredeemable???
Vi accepting Cait immediately, as if act I didn't happen. I understand they wanted to make Caitvi canon, but it was too rushed.
The 'good timeline' being like that because Vi died???? WTF the enforcers wanted a name, ANYONE to put the blame on, so the Council could 'make an example'. And now suddenly everything is okay? The abuse from Piltover is gone? But even if that were true, it's sad it would take Vi's death so peace could exist
Cait put Jinx, a traumatized, suicidal and schizophrenic girl in an ISOLATED CELL.
In a more relaxed note, I hate the design of Powder in the other timeline. I have to admit I absolutely love Jinx's design, with her bang and long braids but damn I expected a Powder with a single braid and a better sense of fashion xd
I understand Ambessa was behind everything, she was using Caitlyn recent grief to manipulate her. But she never apologized, her actions can't be erased, she said it herself.
I'll probably keep updating the list for a few days.

constantly thinking abt the long quiet and the shifting mound and their relationship w humanity. because the two are very much not mortal and even in the what happens next ending its very ambiguous if they ever WILL be or Can be. but even still they have both felt what its like to be mortal
i feel like its vague if the entity the two used to be even percieved its own existence. the way the narrator talks about it makes it seem like the two only existed conceptually and as a result lacked a complete sense of identity, and didnt need to, and wouldnt want to. but in the same way a thought cannot be unthought, the narrator gave them a glimpse into what it felt like to be mortal and the two can never un-know it, even if it wasnt exactly the same
the long quiet in particular seems especially tied to humanity and in some aspects seems to want to BE human (which feels so potent given how decidedly Not human he is). the game tends to imply that every option you get is a thought he DOES have, and in the spaces between, the choices dont seem as influenced by a given voice, which highlights even more how much he feels conflicted on his own nature that he gets Multiple options to express discomfort with himself being a god
it just gets to me how one of the options during the fight is literally "appeal to your shared humanity". because even if the two are gods, their separation and reshaping has given them humanity that they can never un-feel. for how much the shifting mound grieves what she once was, she cannot will her humanity away. shes mourning what the two of them once was and is desperate to have it back at any cost, even though they can never be together how they once were.
even if the long quiet goes with her, theyre still apart and lack balance, because the two once just Were and werent two parts. they werent both halves, they werent two concepts, they were just one concept that happened to, by human eyes, consist of two halves. and the narrators insertion of humanity into the mix in order to separate them, separating them into concepts that humans understood, manually put into existence a struggle for equilibrium where that balance had simply Existed
but theyve already perceived what felt like reality and can never un-see it. they were separated and Need the other to feel whole and for reality to BE whole but the moment that either of them realized their own free will, the moment the two fully came to feel like people, they could never be together the same way once again
im struggling to come up with a metaphor that isnt silly but its like if you took a piece of fabric and cut it in two and made them both into shirts. youve added a piece of humanity into them and doing so cost its original form. to take them apart and try to put them back together would never get you the original, whole piece of fabric back, because theyve been completely changed by their own unique destruction and reconstruction
they were separated in a way that gave them humanity that they have such conflicting feelings on. both seem to have a deep love of humanity but vastly different ideas on what humanity needs to thrive, because its in their natures
in order to get one to kill the other the narrator let the long quiet interpret the both of them as mortal. and for a being of perception and an god thats being lied to, this became part of their limited view of the world, on top of all the other reasons that the two gained humanity. the long quiet couldnt be told what to do if he didnt have the ability to potentially act on the narrators desires, and the shifting mound could never die if the long quiet didnt believe her to be capable of death
the narrator gave the two humanity and the shifting mound is very reasonably distressed by this. because the two of them never asked for this but they cant undo it. it is her OWN subtle desire for things to be the same as they used to be, her own piece of that stagnation that also led to her experiencing humanity, that makes her so adamant during the fight. she misses the long quiet and wants to undo a change that cannot be undone in search of a constant state of being that was taken from her
and the long quiet felt so closely tied to mortality, both its existence and absence, that no matter what, he wants to aid humanity. but hes been lied to and denied autonomy to the point where he doesnt know what that entails. but he wants to be a part of it. he was given fake mortality and cant seem to figure out how he feels
the shifting mound is set in how she feels it best to aid in the existence of life. she is stagnant in her feelings because its all that feels right to her. the long quiet is ever-shifting in how he feels it best to aid in the existence of life. he is changing in his feelings because its all that feels right to him
getting to the heart of the shifting mound allows them a moment to discuss it as the closest they can get to mortals. the two care about their impact on life and what it means to be alive and what better way for the two of them to truly decide what they want to do about it, outside of the conflict thats been forced between them, than as the mortals they never were?
#slay the princess#long post#under a cut but i figure i should still tag that#waxing poetic about this is fun. i think about them every single day#i cant word it well either but something something stagnation as a representation of humanity#and the long quiet is mostly humanity with a small bit of divinity#and the shifting mound is mostly divinity with a small bit of humanity#and no words can describe what they are because they arent mortal but theyve felt too much of humanity to just be conceptual anymore either#but they arent both. they arent both or neither or just one or the other. theyre their own things that cant be explained with words#(not humanity in a literal sense either. idk how to word it)#(more metaphorical humanity)#but it makes them both people. but also not both people. but they can never not be people anymore. but they can never be not gods anymore#anyway. i lost the plot a few times i just get emotional thinking abt their relationship w humanity#i hope this makes any sense bc ive spent over an hr typing it because i got excited and once the words are out of my brain i forget them

List of things I'd find compelling in Tarn fics and have 0 time to write.
1. Religious mania, this mf has been high off his ass on every single substance and indoctrinated in a war cult from hell for 4 million years. Bro is having more visions than the goddamn oracle of Delphi at this rate. I think the implicit slow burn horror of realizing how fucked up he is either from his point of view or from another character's would be so goddamn interesting.
2. I just think the DJD being lost in deep space by themselves and forced to escape from some eldritch monstrosity that's beyond mortal comprehension a la annihilation style would be so interesting. Like how does a man who's already got a loose grip on reality with vocal weaponry gonna handle space cthulu?? How's a gaggle of space murder hobos gonna handle a prometheus/alien type of monster invasion? Bonus points for maximum body horror.
3. The implicit message that is Tarn being obsessed with classical music and perhaps able to play it, but never being able to write his own until something breaks him away from Megatron. Maybe he gets into new kinds of media, I feel like once he opens up his horizons he seems like a punk music scene kinda guy.
4. TAKE AWAY HIS T COGS AND DRUGS. I'm serious, put this man in critical condition and going through extreme withdrawals and see what happens when he is no longer capable of having his vices. Does he experience an epiphany? Does he realize how pathetic he is and do something about it? What's the DJD think about it? How does his personality change?
5. I just wanna watch him and starscream stab Megatron to death while holding hands. They've been through 4 million years of absolute shit while both thinking the other one is the "other woman". I just think they should be allowed to make each other worse and also hold hands about it. What better partner for a man seeking global domination than the most loyal bodyguard ever built?
That's the main gist of it for now. I have a master list of things that fascinate me about gods stupidest war criminal, but I don't feel like typing them all up right now. Perhaps I'll make a second post idk. Feel free to use these as you will, just let me read the damn thing.

Time to talk about Martin as a Buried avatar because I am aware this seems like an odd choice in my au but I have my reasons.
So, to get a little personal for a moment (this is relevant I promise), I have often felt trapped by my own mental illnesses, my differences to others, and my need for people to like me. For a long time I forced myself to do whatever I could to help others because in my mind if I didnât then they would have no reason to like me and people had to like me because it was better that I was burning myself out than being alone again. I think you can see the similarities between my own experiences and Martin.
The Buried I think is often overlooked, and I feel like a lot could have been done with being trapped by your own anxiety, where youâre buried underneath the worries of everyone else and canât escape the hell of your own creation because youâre so afraid to be a bad person.
While Martin very much fits the Lonely and the Web, I feel season 1/2 Martin had such a potential to become aligned with the Buried instead. Rather than isolating himself, Martin becomes more and more desperate to help everyone around him because if he helps them, then heâs useful, but this also leaves him unable to do anything else. Heâs so caught up in keeping everyone else happy (or at least as close to it as he can get them) that he struggles to do anything else. His anxiety around how others view him traps him, and the powers around him want him stuck.
Now the Shifted Gaze Martin is in a slightly different situation to canon Martin by the time the story starts as heâs actually friends with Jon. Jon is already well on his way to becoming a Web avatar, so heâs a pretty different person to what he is in canon. Heâs still really not the best at socialising, but itâs more in a he says the bare minimum of words he needs to rather than heâs being a dick kind of way. To put a long story short, Martin sees this man who is completely alone, and makes it his mission to ensure Jon isnât as alone as he is.
The thing is in doing so, he accidentally becomes the one thing keeping Jonâs humanity alive, and that makes Martin the perfect target for the Buried. Martin begins by being trapped trying to help Jon, then that extends to Sasha and Tim when he joins the archival team, and he does not have the time or energy to take care of himself. Martin and Jonâs dynamic in this au is really not the healthiest lol. Iâd say it gets better but that would be a lie. Martin so strongly ties himself to the people he cares for he stops caring about what happens to himself, and when certain events happen, well letâs just say the Buried gets a new avatar.
Martin is still aligned with the Lonely in some ways in this au, but the Buried is what claims him.
Btw sorry if any of this is rambly or doesnât make sense, I am writing this while sleep deprived lol. I feel like this will really start to make sense as I write him in the actual story rather than me explaining it this way since I have to leave out some major things due to spoiler reasons. If you have questions please feel free to ask them I would love to answer.

Cesare felt the air around him still and chill in the same stroke. His eyes narrowed on Quin and all the alcohol he'd drank felt as though it evaporated through every pore on his body. In that moment he couldn't understand the man's tone but he felt the rigidiness just the same. He hadn't done anything wrong. Not really. Had Beau confused him for a few moments? Yes. But nothing more had come of that. And once the prince found out who he was and what he was doing, it wasn't difficult to deduce the rest. But clearly Quintus wasn't ready or willing to do that yet and he'd have to explain in a way that didn't seem as though he were trying to defend the other to him. Wasn't he just the one being made to be made?
"I don't think it's difficult to understand that someone in his line of work." He paused, staring pointedly at the other for a moment before he continued. "Don't always receive the best treatment. And knowing the man that was pulling his strings." Which was partly a lie. Cesare didn't know their uncle well. Or, as well as he'd thought he had. In all the years he'd ventured to the castle in Vivec alone and in his father's tow, he'd never had Richard treat him poorly. The odd comment here and there, with more frequency as he'd grown closer to Quin, but never would he have guessed he was a power hungry man, hell bent on dethroning his own nephews at any cost. "I didn't think it was such a jump to assume that some of what has happened with you may also have happened with him." His brow raised and he sighed out, not ready to admit the next part. "Because you do look similiar enough that I imagine whatever he he wanted to say or do to you he often took out on Beau instead when the opportunity didn't present itself with you."
The prince stretched himself out on his bed, leaning back against the headboard. There it is. The soft, fuzzy feeling of the meade found him again and he breathed out slowly. "You've never told me the extent of what happened with ... Richard." He started, crossing his ankles over each other and his hands folded over and laid against his lap. It was hard to hear that name in his own voice. Until that moment he was fairly certain they'd never uttered his name between themselves. But the threat was very real and not using his name made it feel like he was bigger than they, and that simply could never be in Cesare's opinion. "Beau wasn't kind when he said it." He started, his fingers itching to dig into anything to make this less painful to speak about, less painful to watch Quintus' face when he'd finally gotten it out. "But I started putting it together. The way you don't like to be touched and how you're constantly on top of everything and everyone." He gave a slight shake of his head because honestly this did nothing but show just how strong this man on the bed was to him. And should be to everyone. "He only confirmed the missing piece that I'd been guessing at."
Cesare's tongue swiped along his lips to keep them from drying out completely. "Please don't take my kindness towards him as anything but that." He swallowed hard and fought himself on what he was about to say next but he thought better than to hide it. "When I first came upon Beau in what were suppose to be your quarters I couldn't be sure it was you. The room was too dark." The contents of his stomach churned and he felt odd enough to shift his weight. "He shared a kiss or two but nothing more than that." His cheeks instantly flared to the bright redness of coals and he found himself wanting to sink completely into the mattress. "I realized he wasn't you and threatened him within an inch of his life to get me to you and when that didn't work." He sighed and shrugged again. "I just tried to treat him like a person." He paused, seeing the snide comment coming quick but he cut Quin off before it could be made. "He wants to live. Free. Just like you and I. Just like everyone else. I couldn't imagine the sort of life one leads pretending to be someone else. Never having anything that is truly your own." Cesare gave a slight shake of his head and breathed out through his nose. "I just didn't want to be the sort of person that sees someone in a bad position regardless of their own involvement and not do anything to help. I've never been that way and I won't start now." He was firm on that whether Quin liked it or not. He could only hope his honesty didn't cost him everything else in the process.
Beau didnât deserve anything, especially from Quintus, and as he rolled over to tell Cesare just that, he stopped being cold in his movements.Â
He survived not great things too.Â
Quinâs body went cold at the words, eyes narrowing as he read them for what they were. It could mean that Cesare knew, but he was many things, and a great actor was not one of them. He believed if Cesare knew about his past with his uncle, he would not be able to contain himself. His future husband would go through all of the stages of grief knowing that any kind of physical harm had come to Quintus, especially at such a young age. He could have simply meant all of the other horrors his uncle had committed, but that was banking on the idea that Cesare hadnât made the connection regarding what Beau was to Quinâs uncle.Â
It was challenging to decide if he wanted to press it when he couldnât determine precisely what Cesare knew. If he did know, Quin would have to live with the stain of his uncle tainting their relationship, potentially ruining their future wedding plans. If he didnât realize, Quin would be serving the truth to him on a silver platter.Â
He sat up as Cesare came over with the tray. He only ate what was handed to him because he didnât want Cesare to comment on his lack of appetite. Quin ate slowly, chewing meticulously, but everything tasted like ash, and with every bite, he had to force himself to swallow. It was like chewing nails. He listened to Cesareâs words, looking up from the dried fruit in his hands to study his expression. If there was ever a time Quintus wished he could read minds, it was this moment.Â
He wanted to share Cesareâs excitement about having both Avenicci brothers under the same roof and look forward to experiencing Adros with Cesare, but Quin was that kind of man. He couldnât let things go; he couldnât ignore the possibility that Cesare may know and wasnât admitting it.Â
âWhat did you mean,â He said slowly, carefully. He ripped the piece of fruit in his hand to shreds, flicking the bits of skin off on the tray. âEarlier.â Quintus glanced up at Cesare, gaze scanning over his face. âWhen you said âHe survived not great things tooâ?â Quin raised a brow, waving his hand flippantly. âHe was playing a role for my uncle. Pretending to be me, he agreed to go to trial disguised as me to plead guilty. While I was locked in my room and drugged constantly, he had the run of the castle and could come and go as he pleased. Anything he wanted was given to him as long as he played by my uncleâs rules, which he did so eagerly. So I suppose Iâm just confused about what horrors he faced that you have been made aware of. Heâs faced enough to warrant you saving and smuggling him out of the country. So please, do share."

AâAventio TGCF idea?? Wherein Civil God Veritas Ratio meets the infamous Ghost King Aventurine during his first mission cuz cuz likeâ The "live for me" paralels?!? The one who has all the luck partner as well?!? The villain who was actually not the Villain this whole time!?!? The loving humanity a little too much it causes their downfall !?!?!?
Rant AU in the tags proceed with caution
#Okay to put it into better words:#Veritas having once being a prince wanted to give everyone the prosperity of knowledge and became a civil god in the pursuit of it.#Sadly this backfires in people using that knowledge for their own greed and creating civil wars within it as well as unleashing far more#Destruction upon the land. And the other gods didn't help Veritas in stopping that bc see that's what happens when people overshare info!!#So the aftermath is just pure chaos plus banishment from being a civil god and thrown as this god of war and plague.#800 years passes and he is seen to just still be doing the same things but I a simple term. Teaching people to read and count.#Often times taking up mission and doing research on new pathogens to help cure the sick that can't afford and somehow during a reading#Lecture he gets ascended back to godhood and everyone is like ??? And even he is like ???#Well he doesn't care much about it and just continues to do what he's always done. Except that once in a while he has to take a detour#Mission to deal with ghosts and other malignant spirits. And upon one of those recurrences he finds himself aquaintanced with#The infamous Ghost King Aventurine. Who is mostly feared in heaven due to having beaten the strongest and wisest at their own games. Even#When the odds where fully against him.#As for Aventurine.#His life was harsh but as the prince had given a lot to the people#Not just education but also free them of diseases and sickness. One of which had struck his sister. He liked the prince and wanted to#Follow in giving and protecting the prosperity of the former kingdom. But the good things did not last and his family was struck in between#The many wars that took place. No matter how much refuge Kakavasha and his sister sought no place was ever#Safe enough for them.#He watched the entire world go up in flames yet somehow he could hate the prince-god for it. But rather the people who had started to#Create weapons in his name. The rest of his years he spent it as a warrior slave and then when death reached him he couldn't even go to#The afterlife since he still held so much vigor and wanted revenge to all the people who had turned his land into ashes and his family#Into bones. That is why he became a mourning ghost.#(I didn't want the kakavasha story to be so centered on ratio like it is in tgcf. Because I think it will be fun for the two of them to#Not recognize each other at first after 800 years and then when they do. Rather when aven does he's full on: oh shit it's the cute princeâ#As for who was the cause of the upheaval in the kingdom and the maker of the weapons. Idk I was debating there being more than just one#Antagonist to have pulled their strings in verita's kingdom as well as be the reason Aven's sister died. So he's more revenge seeking for t#And the genius society as civil gods just spoke to me it for so perfectly. Ling wen as Ruan mei? Yeah exactly.#ratiorine#Aventio#Dr ratio

my favourite part of season 5 is still the reveal that Gabriel and Tomoe thought Adrien and Kagami made the perfect pair and wanted them to be together because it completely flips their relationship
Kagami and Adrien sneaking around and finding the slightest gaps in their schedule and giving their bodyguards/parents the slip to spend time together and feeling so clever that theyâve gotten away with it their parents donât suspect a thing
only to smashcut to Gabriel and Tomoe doing an evil pound it because their ship is canon
#miraculous ladybug#ml s5#gabriel agreste#tomoe tsurugi#adrien agreste#kagami tsurugi#itâs the illusion of free choiceâ˘#it was a very clever plan tbf like if they told them to date it would be awkward and forced. but put them in the same room together and see#what happens⌠let them think it was all their idea⌠boom success!#then the next step is saying âyes i only just found out youâve been dating kagami and i have decided to give you my permission to date her-#what do you mean you broke up a month ago and your dating the baker girl who made a hat for me one time?â#on the flipside though it probably wouldnât have worked out in the long run bc kagami likes the thrill of a secret forbidden romance like#thatâs partially what drove her to felix imo so if tomoe said one day âitâs come to my attention youâre dating the agreste boy. i approve o#of this match and have organised a date for you two on friday.â you Know kagami would immediately go#âoh no.. okay um so now iâm kind of feeling that everything about him that was attractive to me before isnât really there anymoreâŚâ#also on the flipside like looking at it on a more deeper/serious level like it just goes to show how much control tomoe and gabriel have o#er their kids to the point that they would be willing to manipulate them into a relationship and then when#the two of them tried and realised it wasnât working. instead of admitting they donât know their children as well as they think they do#or acknowledging that their children are actual people who have their own feelings that donât always match their parents#or coming to terms that their children arenât extensions of their legacy and will that they can puppet however they want#instead they say âokay we tried the hands off way now weâll just have to force themâ

The better I get at crusade management and the midnight fane the worse the end of it is going to hit I can just feel it
#i was thinking about it on the Azata run. Funnily enough Galfrey was twice as harsh but it didn't affect ellu a fraction of as much#idk if that sentence makes sense. anyway#something about support systems I guess#He's trying REALLY hard for that good alignment next to the chaotic#but truth be told he has no idea if he's doing it 'correctly'. he often thinks of them as one and the same#he may have lived the majority of his life (far as he knows) on golarion but alas he is still fey at his core#whatever moral code he has he had to sort of invent and improvise himself#when I say Elluin doesn't think of himself as good it's a combination of that- and also the ingrained idea -#that he's got something inherently wrong with him on account of the *gesturing vaguelyy* mento innes#courtesy of the inquisition etcetera#so again. in azata path he was sort of. well he was uncomfortable being put on the spot and SEEN as good#but once the impostor syndrome died down he took to it as a duck to water#and between Aivu and the free crusaders he was assured enough in his own choices where he could take harsh critique and not bat an eye#well that was just galfrey throwing a fit it happens who cares- onward#but HERE.. here it's just him#it's just him doing his best. And when that best isn't good enough..#well. yeah.#riv finds the path that sure is wrathfully righteous#oc:elluin

Watching Dune with my roommates and violently swinging between âIâm yapping too much just let them watch the damn movieâ and âMy word you have a lot of questions.â
This culminated in the scene with Shadout Mapes, where I was going to talk about xyz thing, then decided against it, and then had one of them say to me âAlright. Iâm gonna need you to explain all of that.â My yapping has been vindicated!
#This movie was very much not made for people new to Dune holy shit#So much goes unexplained and not in a fun way but more of a what the hell is happening way#Training room scene happens and itâs like âOh ok swords and blue thing coolâ#and then the attack on Arrakeen happens and itâs like âOh nvm we doing ranged weapons nowâ#Mentats are entirely unexplained. see someone spreading misinformation about ancient greece online, gently correct them, they say "well discerning whats canon and whats fanon in greek mythology is really difficult". i am killed instantly.
