New Exhibit for Leduc #1 Gallery 1 April 2023

Hey, Danielle here! Life is ever on the move at the CEM, and I'm excited to be starting the planning stages for a new exhibit in our Leduc #1 Gallery.

As part of a push to utilizing some cool artifacts from the early years of the Leduc #1's operation and to better tell the to story of our relationship to the town of Devon, we're taking the chance to revitalize this sad little corner beside our kid-favourite, the Skid Shack.

Above is the corner in its current state, but we have big plans! Alongside neat artifact posts, I'll be using this blog to document the progress and planning.

I think it’d be so funny if Bruce just refuses to disclose the existence of Robin to the league. He knows it’d take less than a minute for them to form a wicked mock club against him.

Except he just? Carries Robin around. Under that endless void that is his cape. Clark pinches the stress point between his brows. “Batman, is that a child under your cape?”

“No.”

“Bruce I can HEAR his heartbeat.”

“I think the long exposure to kryptonite partially damaged your brain. There is no child here, Clark.”

“He’s literally drinking Barry’s coffee right now.”

“He’s WHAT-“

My take on the whole 'the JL gets mad at Batman for having a child soldier when he gets robin' thing goes like this:

The League is having a fight with Batman saying it's wrong to bring a child, especially with no powers, into fights with supervillains and it's irresponsible to put children in danger

And Batman interrupts with "so you take him then"

And the League just kind pause, like "huh?"

"One of you can babysit Robin for a week and then we can revisit this discussion."

They're a little confused but eventually Wonder Woman agrees to take him in.

She returns with him a week later. "I apologize Batman, we have misjudged you. I adore him but please take him back now."

(she couldn't get him to stop sneaking out to fight crime without physically restraining him)

if you call children "jizz trophies," "crotch droppings," or anything else that implies that they're not. you know. actual people who don't deserve your scorn for existing in a stage all people go through. you lose any regard I ever had for you

and if you EVER call a woman a "breeder" for whatever reason- even if she's a terrible parent who lets her kids run around and scream, even if she won't stop having children irresponsibly when she can't support them. for whatever reason. you are an untrustworthy person in my eyes and I honestly don't want to interact with you anymore

you don't have to like kids. you don't have to want to be around kids. but you will respect them, and not reduce even shitty women to their reproductive functions, or I won't respect you
