Recently coming crash course into Hannibal tv show fandom again and kinda feeling complicated right now.

Scratch that, it not really kinda but mildly feel complicated, for the number one ship in that fandom.

Uh, just to put it out there I can see several factors why the murder husband becomes popular ship, like the chemistry between them, the tension of opposing side and the deciding factor of handsomeness.

It's just that I rarely see (or maybe I just don't delve deep enough) the Hannibal hater? Or you know ship with Will that actually make Will happy and doesn't involve Hannibal except being enemy?

I mean, it's been a long time since I watch the show, but the way Will's situation in the show presented to me feel like kinda mind manipulation? Or groomed into thinking that he will become serial killer in the end because of his empathy?

Or maybe it's just my problem because I am too sensitive and "it's just fictional character dude".

Idk guys, it's not like I can't read the murder husband fanfic, but I just prefer it in the background where neither of them is serial killer and everything while not really safe at least sane and consensual.

So, about Good Omens:

It's still good, guys.

Like if you didn't like it before, that's fine. But if you loved it then, and now you suddenly think it's bad, you're lying to yourself. Not on purpose, but your brain is trying to reconcile what you've learned about the author with what you felt before. Understandable, it's trying to avoid contradiction.

But that isn't how it really works. In reality, toxic traits of an author do not retroactively poison their work. That's why we talk about separating the art from the artist.

Anyway, this isn't about NG and it never was - he's said as much himself, several times. This is a promise he made to a friend, and whatever else you can say about him, that friendship was real. He damn well better keep his promise. This story changed lives, minds and hearts, and it deserves to be completed, for its own sake and for Terry's, and that's that on that.

(And no, we are not going to get a magically pure Season 3 without NG involved. It'd be nice, but it's not happening. The facts are that no one else knows what they planned together, and the screen version wouldn't even exist if not for NG and that promise. Besides, he's already written the script. Remains to be seen whether he'll be on set at all, but he is involved, and that's that. We can either enjoy something beautiful from a problematic creator, like we always talk about on here, or we can't.)

We have to be honest... L is unpleasant 90% of the time. It's a result of their past and current life, even if that's a very, very weak excuse.

To minimise headbutts, you kind of need to click with them — as in, share the same vibe regarding their ambitions and worldview. Staying kind is always a way to irritate them and might break their hostile facade, even though biting back is more fun most of the time and can catch them off guard in a way that leaves them "speechless."

Overall, it is very hard to get on their sunny side, but it is possible – to a certain extent. This can also be very wholesome, depending on what you seek, because L never has been and never will be a fully fluffy, affectionate romance option.

Hmmm, what is L like.....

L is the kind of person who would call you in the middle of the night because their friends broke into a shopping centre to skate. They’d want to spend evenings and nights at an open-air cinema with you, watching skate videos. L would defend you like a guard dog against others, because if anyone gets to be tough on you, it’s only them. They’d be the first to call you when they landed a new trick or found a new spot to skate. L would endlessly tell their friends about the ridiculous shithead ideas the two of you get up to together. They’d give you their last Snickers bar but scold you if you made a cheesy comment.

Zora princess engagement

The Legend of Zelda has a history of Zora princesses falling in love with/being engaged to the Hero of Hyrule/Link

So therefore, in Echoes of Wisdom, I would like for:

A- Zelda to run across a Zora princess engaged to Link and tell her hands off, he's kidnapped

B- Zelda to be engaged to a Zora princess and tell her no, Link is kidnapped

C- With both the river and ocean Zora being in Eow, BOTH Link and Zelda were engaged to Zora royalty, who are pissed that they now have to marry each other instead since Link is kidnapped

This is half joking but tbh I really would love for the Zora engagement trope to show up again

I mean the entirety of Eow is set up for Zelink. He chases her. She chases him. It's the idea that they're not whole without the other- if Link is taken so is Zelda. (see what I did there. Taken. Like kidnapped but also taken like in love with someone already. So they're both taken- ok moving on)

So yeah the zelink is so strong in this game from the four minute trailer(s), I really wanna see a Zora engagement because of the potential for *drama*
