Like, just the other day, I overheard my family make a joke, "and some people identify as cats." It was the only part I could hear, but it made me realize something.

Every time people talk about therians/otherkins, it's always the cats they go after.

Which says a lot about how little they know.

Wearing your brother’s dog tags brings a lot of questions, which meant problems. Especially from men, especially at a bar where said men try to pick you up. Or strike a conversation about the mysterious dog tags. Lucky for you a certain Scot lovingly doesn’t think to ask too many questions. Not until Johnny “Soap” Mactavish’s tongue is down your throat in the back of his car on holiday do the gears begin to turn. But only, yes only after, a few odd weekends of small dates and letters when he can write, he finally decides to ask who your tags belong to between deep kisses and pants. You frown as you pull away to respond, the mood dampened.

“Oh I really shouldn’t say..” you sigh not wanting to explain the long story typically because it ruins the mood “my brother gave me these so I wouldn’t worry about him when he leaves on missions. His call sign is Ghost and…” Shit. Johnny’s whole body seizes up as his heart makes a pitfall down his body. His hearing stops as his brain repeats your joined last name over and over and over; Riley, Riley Riley Riley. Fuck why didn’t he connect the dots. Ghost always was secretive and protective about his younger sister, everyone knew he always declined to bring you as his plus one or even show photos to the rest of the 141. Damnit he knows somewhere down the line if Gaz or even worse Price hears about this that he’ll never live it down. If Ghost hears about this - shit he’ll never live. He finally zones back in to hear you say

“…but that doesn’t matter because you guys don’t run in the same circles, right?” Soap’s nervous smile gives you all the time for your heart to join his in dropping down below. But as your phone rings both of you are sure your hearts have dropped down to hell as the caller id reads: Simon Riley.

Jumpscaring The Vice-Housewardens

Trey is hard to jumpscare, considering his experience with mischievous younger siblings. You can do it with a heap of effort, though. And he reacts- Pretty tamely, to be honest. A 'Gah' escapes his lips, but he doesn't punch you or anything like that. The look on his face is hilarious, though.

Ruggie practically jumps up, ears shooting up. Hey, what was that for? It's absolutely hilarious. If you manage to get a picture of his startled face, you'll probably be able to blackmail him. Be warned, though, he's going to get counter blackmail on you to even it put.

Jade's reaction is absolutely priceless. He's almost impossible to jumpscare, with his keen senses and whatnot, so if you somehow manage? His drawn out yelp is so high-pitched it seems feminine, eyes blown open in shock. Be warned, though, he will get his vengeance.

Jamil is just annoyed. Please, don't do this do him - if you somehow pull it off, you might even end up triggering his defensive reflexes. Come on, spare him the nuisance this once. You'll probably end up with a bruise or two if you try. It's not his fault, really, he did warn you.

Rook is impossible to jumpscare. No, seriously. You can't jumpscare him. You try with all the subtly you can possibly muster up, and yet, he still manages to catch you, staring at you in such a manner it makes you yelp.

Ortho can be jumpscared fairly easily, actually! It may seem odd, considering his robotic nature, but that little weakness was one Idia programmed into him in case he ever felt like messing around with his sibling. The reason is funny, weirdly funny - especially the chart about jumpscare efficiency rates he ends up projecting through a hologram in a frenzy. Afterwards, though, he'll likely seek vengeance.

Lilia yelps, yes, but then... He needs a second to process things. You? Just jumpscared him? It's possible for that to happen to him? Wasn't he immune? He really needs to sharpen up his game, he thinks. Was the look on his face really worth the torment of Diasomnia? Probably.

Danny reflects back on his life, staring at his partner, how Freakshow had gotten him into this Circus in the first place.

"Where would we go?" He relents, grasping the offered hand to hold it simply. The weight of the appendage is calming for his racing heart.

'Gray' softens, leaning against him. Their outfifs– tight on their bodies, colourful for the eyes of the people. Ruffles, dark and gooey to fit the theme of the circus, showing more skin than comfortable– it was home.

After so long, it had become home and Danny isn't sure if he could leave it.

(Is that how Freakshow never lost any workers even after his staff broke? Did they become dependent on him just as he has?)

"Everywhere." His performance partner replies, reassures with his presence and Danny soaks it in.

They would move tomorrow, but 'Gray' would not come along.

I just feel like we don't talk enough about how much arthur just genuinely loved merlin and how much he did for him

there is no big destiny, no alternative motives. Arthur was genuinely just.... willing to sacrifice his life, go to war, give his mother's sigil away JUST BECAUSE. He just really liked his lil guy.

He loved Merlin's company, trusted him, has open conversations with him and he put Merlin's opinions above a lot of other things.

He's so fucking committed to Merlin and he doesn't even know 68% of the things that Merlin does to deserve it????!!!!!!??!?!?!?!

It blows my mind EVERYTIME I realize that homeboi just loved cause HE WAS PURE OF HEART. Arthur didn't need to know all the things merlin did for him to love him HIS LOVE WAS UNCONDITIONAL

if you wanna make things sadder then think about how big and full of love arthur heart was but meeting merlin was the only chance he got to pour all that love into someone and not have it thrown away
