So erm..the tag about how he totes cant sense our heart beat.....it inspired meeeee, so here, a oneshot under the keep readinggggg. Also hmmmmah i give him four arms because four armed eclipse supremacy

Also yes I know leaf slugs eat algae, but i was already too far into the writing when naff said that we're a leaf slug, im not going back and changing it

Just warning: some suggestiveeeeeness

You shouldnt have decided to hunt in the seaweed.

Lately, you havent liked leaving your den that much.

All because of a nonstop feeling of being watched when you're outside of it.

For about a year now you've been friends with a pair of shark mers.

A sweet energetic yellow shortfin mako shark named Sun, and a quiet usually slower blue shark named Moon who adopted each other as brothers when they were young.

You loved to hang out with them, they were so fun and silly to talk with and occasionally hunt with them if the three of your got hungry.

After a couple (accidental) mentions of another, older adopted brother who was the one to find them and bring them together, you got curious and asked if you could meet him.

They seemed to love him just as much as they loved each other, and they were so sweet, surely he'd be at least a bit similar.

They were very hesitant, but after a bit, they reluctantly saie that they'd ask him to come meet you next time they spent time with you.

And you cant help but admit, you were very excited when you saw a third mer trailing behind the two next time they both came.

Though, he didnt seem that excited to be there as he followed your friends.

But you were surprised, Sun and Moon even more so, when Eclipse suddenly became less disinterested when he saw you.

You couldnt help but flush as the entire time the three were there, you'd see Eclipse looking at you in a strange way you couldnt figure out, as well as sticking closer to you than Sun and Moon.

You didnt exactly understand what was happening, and you still dont, but you felt a bit flustered.

But you also felt a bit uneasy.

Even more so after the three left, as slowly the feeling of being watched appeared.

Slowly you started sticking to your den more often, soon only coming out to catch a meal or to hang out with Sun, Moon, and/or Eclipse, though times with Eclipse were smaller and rarer.

And as usual, today, you carefully left the safety of your den to hunt.

You wish food would come to you. The entrance to your den was so small, not even big enough for Moon to get inside. No predator mer would be able to get to you if the fish just came to you.

But of course, its never that easy is it?

So you left to go hunting.

Despite your anxiety and the prickling feeling of being watched, you told yourself it would be fine.

Its been a couple months of this, nothing has happened, and its likely nothing will happen, especially since its been so long with this.

You tried hunting out in the open for a bit. After all, if anything came towards you, you'd be able to see it right?

But the feeling of being watched was too much, plus it was probably the same for the fish as well and they kept getting away.

So you went to the kelp forest to find some fish there.

It would be easier to sneak up on any fish you found in there.

You didnt really think about how it might be the same for whatevers watching you.

The feeling of beeing watched lessened slightly as you carefully swam through the kelp, the sea plants hiding you well, especially with your many leaf-like cerata along your back, as you hunted and more easily got food to fill your belly.

Soon you'd gotten your fill, and you planned to turn back and swim back to your den.

But then you saw a moving shadow in the corner of your vision.

Quickly you spun around to see what you saw.

But you didnt see anything but the kelp surrounding you.

Then it happened again.

Your heart raced as you turned again to try and see what caused the shadow.

Again nothing, but you kept turning and looking around, paranoid and trying to figure out what the shadow was.

Then you felt a prescence behind you.

Before you could turn around once again, you felt yourself being pinned to the ground and you gasped with fright before frantically struggling.

You heard a low chuckle above you, before a large thumb brushing over your lips, then pushed down slightly, keeping your lips shut, and you heard a low voice whisper in your ear, shushing you.

You trembled, before looking up, your eyes widening as you recognized the yellow eyes, the deep red scales, and the black stripes of none other than Eclipse.

You breathed out shakily as he breathed warm water brushing over your face with a chuckle, your eyes wide with shock, meanwhile your face was slightly flushed, caught off guard by his close proximity.

Your breath hitched as he wrapped his so much larger and longer tail around you, stopping any struggle before it could even start, and as the same hand of the thumb over your lips cupped your cheek, another on your hip, before he whispered in your ear.

"Hello, sweet chum..."

His voice was lower than you'd heard it before and it sent shivers down your spine.

A soft quiet gasp leaves you as he then brushes one of the fingers on your hip across some of your cerata, your sensitive cerata.

You hear him purr as you react like that, before feeling his grip tighten slightly.

"Mm...almost thought you'd never stray too far from that hole of yours....."

You dont know how to react.

You just know that the dots are connecting and you are realizing he is why you've felt eyes on you.

Hes been watching you.

Stalking you.

Perhaps obsessing over you.

Without you even noticing.

Finally after a bit you attempt to push him away, a weak pathetic attempt at resistance, but he simply collects your wrists into one hand and pins them above your head with a low growl.

"Now now...none of that."

You tense up slightly as he then presses closer against you, then brings up his fourth hand to your cheek as he cups your face, your rhinophores nervously curling around his wrists.

He chuckles, feeling the soft scent recepting organs on your head around his wrists, before bringing his hands up to be around the bases of your so very sensitive rhinophores, happily drawing out a soft gasp from your lips as he touches them, your lips parting slightly.

He purrs again as you then make a soft sound of surprise as he presses his lips against yours before you can close them, kissing you in a passionate way that leaves you red faced and panting when he pulls away again with a grin.

You stare up at him with very wide eyes for a bit, before squirming, your rhinophores unlatching from his wrists and curling over your eyes, hiding them.

Though, he quickly pushes his thumbs at the base of them, another gasp leaving you as he prods at the sensitive flesh on your rhinophores to make them pull away from your eyes again.

"Oh sweeheart, dont cover your eyes from me...they're so pretty~"

You let out a whine in response, curling in on yourself as much as your are able to with his tail curled around your lower half and his hand pinned your wrists above your head.

He chuckles.

"Flustered, sweet chum...~"

You whimper before shaking your head as much as you can without making more of the fuzzy feelings from him touching your rhinophores go through you.

He lets out a soft laugh at that, before slowly bringing the hand on your hip up to your chest, resting it right over your heart, then whispering in your ear again.

"Dont lie....I can sense your heart beat, and its going so fast, pump pump pumping as you struggle to calm a bit~"

Your breath hitches at how he said that before finally you squeeze your eyes shut and desperately say a soft little plea.

"Pl-please....l-leave me al-alone..."

As you say that, you hear him let out a hum.

After a couple minutes you're sure he wont do so, but then he lets go of your wrists and pulls away slightly, his tail loosening around you.

"Fine, after all you asked so nicely...."

But then he looks back down at you again, his eyes narrowed and his grin wide and sharp again, gripping your rhinophores slightly and tightening his tail back around you as he leans back, close.

"Oh, but not before I leave a little mark on you....~"

Before you can ask in a nervous and startled voice what he means, he tilts your head, exposing your neck, leans in to the crook of your neck, and...

A sharp gasp leaves you as his teeth sink into the flesh of your neck, your eyes wide.

You dont dare try to pull away or push him off.

If you try, with his serrated teeth still sunk into your flesh, he could bring back a chunk out of your neck.

Your rhinophores twitch in his hands as for a bit, while his jaw is clamped down on your neck, he licks at your soft skin.

When he does pull away, pulling his teeth back out of your flesh, he doesnt stop licking, licking up the blood that attempts to ooze out of the bite mark and into the water.

He wears a wide open smile, visibly licking his own teeth, and finally, he pulls away, letting go of you and unwrapping his tail.

Before he does anything else though, he uses a finger to tilt your head up and presses his lips against yours again, and your face flushes even more as his tongue dips into your mouth and curls around your tongue, making you taste your own blood, before pulling away again and whispering into you ear again.

"Until we meet again, my sweet chum...~"

And at that he swims away, quickly dissapearing into the shadows and the kelp.

Leaving you there on the sea floor, much too flustered and stunned for your liking.

Somewhere after the bite wound healed, Sun and Moon came to visit you again.

You were excited, seeing them in the distance coming towards you.

But then it became just a bit less when you saw Eclipse close behind, and a bit more nervous.

But you kept a smile as they came over, and carefully you hid the bite mark on your neck.

You didnt want the boys worrying about you after all.

But damn Moon and his hyper vigilant eye, as not even three minutes after the three got to you, Moon swam up to you and pushed your cerata away from your neck.

Immediately, Sun's gaze snapped to the mark on your mark and he quickly came over closer as well, quickly worrying and asking you what happened, who did this to you, are you ok, do you need help, the usual worrying questions from Sun.

But for once you couldnt answer him that well.

Your gaze drifted to Eclipse, your eyes quickly meeting bis that are always there, waiting for you to meet his gaze, and he smirked and raised a finger to his lips, a silent gesture for you to be quiet. Perhaps with a just as silent 'or else.'

And quickly you looked away to avoid the other two seeing, and after a bit you simply said that its fine, just a mer on your territory that you got into a fight with.

No big deal.

Thankfully, they didnt ask any more questions, though it was clear that they were still worried.

You felt guilty.

You didnt want to keep them in the dark about what happened.

But you're more scared of what Eclipse would do if you said anything.

I’ve been being eaten away at by devil eyes brain rot for a while now and even though it’s not may anymore

What if devil eyes eclipse was like, a mer creature of some sort?

And what would he be?

Anon, I'm looking directly into your eyes and shaking your hand. It is always MerMay in our hearts!

Devil Eyes Eclipse would be a tiger shark mer! He is large with long fins and a long tail. He has a light-yellow underbelly with currant red skin and striking dark stripes across his entire body. His teeth are terrifyingly distinct with terribly sharp, pronounced serrations. He can locate prey (or mer Y/N) with electroreceptors which allows him to detect electric fields, including the weak electrical impulses generated by his prey. Oh, and did I mention he's a solitary, nocturnal hunter?

Since I'm already here, I'll toss in Devil Eyes Sun and Moon mers as well!

Moon is a blue shark mer. He prefers cool waters and is generally lethargic, but he can move very quickly. He has long fins and a long tail just like his brother Eclipse but is slightly smaller. His skin is midnight blue with small spots of baby blue while his underside is white. He's a cold-blooded mer and has a unique sense of smell which he uses to avoid other mers and keep him and Sun safe while they wait for Eclipse. He's also memorized Mer Y/N's sense and is still deciding whether he likes how pretty you smell. (He grows anxious whenever he smells your blood, blood on Eclipse, or both at once.)

Sun is a shortfin mako shark. He's the same size as Moon but slightly smaller than Eclipse with long fins (despite taking after a shortfin) and a long tail. He possesses a brilliant yellow color on top and a white underside. He's very agile and swift which makes him an incredibly fast swimmer, and he can leap to extreme heights out of the water. He maintains a body temperature that is warmer than the surrounding waters which he has used on the occasion to keep mer Y/N warm in the cold sea. He doesn't do well sitting tight in one spot and will often venture out to scout and scan the area for dangers or watch for Eclipse coming back to them.
