Nico thoughts of when you’re having a bad mental health day?

he’s definitely the type to just be there with you until you feel better, however that is for you. if you need him to sit and be a listening ear, talking through everything you’re feeling until you feel better? he’s there.

if you need him to just sit in silence, holding your hand to let you know he’s right there with you, and you’re not alone? he’s there.

if you need him to help reassure you that whatever unpleasant things your brain is conjuring up aren’t real/the complete truth? he’s there.

he wouldn’t leave your side until he knew you were feeling completely and totally better. whatever harmful thoughts you’re having reversed before he even thinks about walking away.

and if he happened to be on the road during a bad day? he’s sending you texts all day, reassuring you. he’s having a constant flow of flowers and treats delivered to your door. he’s calling you every hour, leaving voicemails for you to listen to if you don’t answer.

but when he is home, if you so much as start texting him with a different tone, he’s on the phone immediately. if he hears even the slightest bit of dejectedness in your voice, he’s speeding to your apartment the first chance he gets.

he brings whatever new puzzle he recently bought, his favorite sweatshirt of yours (that he never gets back, so you just have a hoard of them in your closet), and your favorite baked goods.

the two of you will sit and work the puzzle if you feel like it, and usually, after working in silence for awhile, you start to open up and tell him what’s running through your head.

and at the end of every bad day, no matter how often or far apart they happen, he scoops up your body and brings it rest on top of his in bed, rubbing his blunt nails up and down your back, whispering sweet nothings in your ear as you drift off to sleep, always feeling loved and cared for.

Arthur’s expression of pure delight and realisation, and soft voice filled with awe, at the “inside joke” he and Merlin have of his ‘funny feelings’, and how he doesn’t elaborate to Mordred what they mean, because Arthur wants to keep them as his and Merlin’s thing (feelings that also prove to be true, and in which Arthur believes, even without an explanation from Merlin):

As a bonus, Merlin’s thunderous and disgusted glare to Mordred, simply because he laughed at Arthur’s joke about Merlin. Arthur can make fun of him, but only Merlin can laugh about it (even better if Merlin is angry because only he can listen to Arthur laugh and make jokes. Peak jealousy moment):
