God, I just know that the family hates playing Scrabble with Jason, because they agree being casual and not search for unusable words through dictionaries intentionally - side eye at Tim, who prior the Scrabble night learned by heart the whole dictionary and spluttered words the next day without even remembering their meaning just because he wanted to win - and then they forget that Jason is English & Literary major. And his casual words are like. Unknown by the half of population.

Jason: Hm-m, geoluread. Dick: There is no way this word is real. Jason: It means yellow-red, actually. Poets and writers used it to describe-- Damian, aka. Nerd Jr: He is right, it is a real word. Can we talk about how Medic would 100% be an ally to the trans community?

Like this is a man of science. Even if he doesn't understand right away, you bet your ass he's looking into it and doing all the research possible once he first hears about the topic. Before joining Team Fortress, he's probably done top and bottom surgeries on random people without even realizing that it's top/bottom surgery because he just likes adding new organs and parts and shit for the sake of his experiments. We literally see him talk about how he gave all the Classic mercs uteruses for fun.

After he's done his research, he's 100% got everybody covered on all things medical when it comes to transitioning. You need estrogen? He's got you. You don't like how your voice sounds? He'll fix that. You want your tits removed? Done. As long as he can keep them afterwards for experimenting (or shit, he might even slap em onto another person who wants them). As long as you're willing to let him cut you open, Medic doesn't care what your gender (or lack thereof) is. And even if someone's not looking to medically transition, he's still supporting them while asking questions n shit because his curiosity doesn't stop at the physical aspect - he wants to know the psychology, the why, how the brain comes up with this and works with it. It might almost come across as creepy, but he doesn't have any malicious intent, he's just SUPER fascinated with the concept of someone's brain not quite matching their body. He'll definitely give surgery and HRT to any of the mercs that need it (cough cough Sniper and Scout in my headcanons-) and will 100% beat the shit out of anyone who thinks trans people are freaks or abominations or whatever other bullshit names the transphobes come up with. He firmly believes that trans people are amazing and will continue to believe that even after he inevitably gets dragged to hell by the Devil.

And for those of you who headcanon Medic himself as trans? You better believe he felt the same curiosity and wonder towards himself. He only felt even more justified after doing research and learning there were others like him. When no doctor would give him top or bottom surgery, he did it himself. How? No one knows, but he found a way.

TLDR: Medic thinks trans folks are neat and no one can change my mind. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

and what happens when willis todd finds out his little boy died. he knows billionaire bruce wayne adopted jay-- the whole damn country knew.

so why. why did his baby boy get a better chance at life than willis could provide, just for him to still die before him, before he became an adult?

how could willis give up his parental rights to bruce wayne, the most privileged man on earth, expecting this man to keep his baby safe and happy and healthy-- when his little jay still died alone and scared.

bruce wayne had everything he could ever ask for. he had all the means to keep his son safe from any harm. and yet jason still died before he even reached his sweet sixteen.

willis thinks that maybe it's a family curse-- a curse he has to live with, knowing that he's failed everyone he's ever loved.

Complaining abt Suicide Squad yet again but the fact that they have Waller exposing the alien community to space racist attacks and talking abt how she got to her position through deceit and being a terrible person and stuff is just. Ahsfiwueh JUST SAY YOU DONT KNOW WALLER.

Anyways literally the 3rd mission of the Squad ever (and the first framed as smth Waller picked and not orders from above) was the Squad discrediting and stopping a rogue vigilante who was only arresting POC and funneling white people into white supremacy groups (of which he was the most prominent member) in SUICIDE SQUAD #4. and it's explicitly framed as this mission being personal for Waller that she's hiding from the government bc its illegal like. Guys. Please why are we having her incite (space bc comics) racist attacks now

Also the whole "Amanda got her position through deceit and being a terrible person" NO. she KEPT her position through being shitty and playing complicated political games!!! She wasn't always that way like there is a difference and it is IMPORTANT ppl PLEASEEEE. In Secret Origins #14 we learn Amanda's backstory and she used to be a normal, caring person! Like even after she entered into working in government and politics she wasn't automatically morally bankrupt like please people. She was originally given control of the Squad by Reagan (*sigh* 80s comics...) to distract and get rid of her because she was so successful at pushing progressive social policy in Congress. Acting like she's this static pillar of evil is such a waste of her character and so fucking uninteresting and disrespectful to her arc it drives me MAD.

Like I am NOT saying Waller is all sunshine and rainbows, she fucking SUCKS (said w love <3) but like there's a human being there. It's a progression, she has a character arc like please, DC, please!!! They've fucked up Waller so bad and made her so opaque and uninteresting she can't even be the protagonist of her own story for fucks sake!

Like I don't know how many times I have to scream it until DC hears me or remembers but WALLER IS THE MAIN CHARACTER OF SUICIDE SQUAD. ITS HER BOOK. yet right now she's a cutout to be used as the villain wherever the writers please. Even in her book we get none of her perspective really displayed, no exploration of her thoughts with any kind of understanding of the role she traditionally has played and was made to play in the story.
