The Netherlands has granted approval for Bulgaria's inclusion in the Schengen area, as per a report by "Reuters." Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov, speaking after the European Council meeting in Brussels, anticipated positive news, highlighting the crucial decision made by the Dutch government.

"Happy to announce that today the government informed the Parliament of its support for Schengen accession of Bulgaria. NL already expressed its support for full application of Schengen acquis to România in December 2022. My congrats to both countries for the good work done!"

This was said by Willemijn van Haaften, the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Romania in a post on the "X" platform

Nikolai Denkov emphasized the extensive efforts undertaken in recent months, citing the passage of laws in Bulgaria's National Assembly and the establishment of a specialized monitoring mechanism linked to the rule of law. He attributed the positive outcome to November's successful mission in Sofia involving the Netherlands and Austria.

"To reach this point, there's been considerable progress—a series of laws passed in our National Assembly, the establishment of a special monitoring mechanism related to the rule of law, and a fruitful mission in November attended by delegates from the Netherlands and Austria. These indicators paved the way for what we hope will be a favorable decision from the Netherlands," Denkov stated optimistically.

The Dutch Parliament now needs to review and finalize the decision to lift their veto.

Political power dynamics shifted following the Dutch elections, wherein Geert Wilders' Eurosceptic party showcased unexpected strength. However, this outcome has complicated the formation of a governing coalition, possibly extending negotiations for months. Throughout this period, Prime Minister Mark Rutte's government has persisted in its functions, expected to remain in power even if forming a successor government becomes untenable, potentially leading to extraordinary elections.

During discussions at the European Council sidelines, the Bulgarian Prime Minister and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis engaged with Chancellor Karl Nehammer and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen concerning Schengen. Mark Rutte's actions potentially intensify pressure on Nehammer to reconsider his stance, particularly as Austria stands as the sole dissenting voice with less explicit demands compared to the Netherlands, an aspect that impacts Bulgaria and Romania.

Vienna proposed a phased approach for the two countries to enter the passport-free travel zone, suggesting an initial inclusion from airports and ports followed by land borders, albeit without a clearly defined timeline for the latter stage. Reports from Romanian media indicate a willingness in Bucharest to entertain and possibly accept this compromise, despite the drawback that long queues of cargo trucks at borders with Bulgaria and Hungary might persist. Bulgaria holds a more resolute position, demanding a definitive decision from Vienna with specific terms for implementation and complete inclusion in the Schengen area.

Denkov also addressed ongoing negotiations with Austria, indicating that potential solutions are being exchanged in written form. "We are currently in the phase of exchanging possible texts on what a resolution might entail. Until a consensus is reached, these discussions remain preliminary," he clarified.

Bulgaria's hopes for Schengen entry are now closer than ever, pending the Dutch Parliament's decision and ongoing negotiations with Austria.

Discuția despre platformele sociale e profund ineptă, la fel ca și imbecila reglementare europeană. Acum toată chestia devine cam importantă - Tik Tok ne-a spart (și va fi interzis în sua ); Facebook elimină cenzura si va copia X .

Sunt 2 teme esențiale aici, care sunt DIFERITE

1. Libertatea de exprimare. Unde se ajunsese era distopic, dictatorial - un algoritm îți bloca contul sau niște “verificatori” umani plătiți de Facebook îți dădeau jos postarea. Eu am fost blocat de nu știu câte ori câte o lună pentru nimic. Verificatorii din România (factual.ro) mi-au dat jos o postare în care doar luam un articol din New York Times (biblia eco progresistă) care spunea ca pământul se răcește de milioane de ani. Fals !!! Nu e pe narativul aprobat ! O nenorocire - și o invitație clară la dictatură digitală . E FFFF bine ca se elimina asta (se înlocuiește cu community Notes). Cat timp nu încalci legea nu trebuie nimeni să îți pună pumnul în gură și să îți dea cancel.

2. Responsabilitatea și înșelăciunea . Într-o societate - trebuie să respecți niște legi (nu ai voie să inciți la violență, să faci înșelătorii). Și autoritățile te pot ancheta , condamna etc. Dar - pe social media poți avea indentitate falsă (sau mii de identități false ca să înșeli ca domne suntem mulți cu cegeu de exemplu). Asta nu e ok deloc. Deci - in mod absolut logic - fiecare ar trebui sa avem un cont verificat, in care te înscrii cu buletinul (ca la app bancar). Poți spune absolut orice, nu e problemă - platforma nu are voie să te blocheze - dar autoritățile te pot ancheta și bloca pe baza legilor țării.

Gândiți-vă la piața publică Ateniană. Democrația inițială. Orice cetățean putea merge acolo, să se exprime, să discute, să convingă. Dar - nu putea veni cu mască. Și nu putea veni cu 1000 de fantome ca să te “multiplice” să intimidezi sau să influențezi pe ceilalți cetățeni.

Asta e tot. De ce naiba UE, congresul SUA și toți ăștia nu pot înțelege chestii atât de simple mă depășește . Ca deh - meta sau alții - normal ca vor mulți boți și conturi fake ca ei vând “audiența” și dacă e mărită prin fake-uri fac mai mulți bani. Dar NU E OK.

Poza e din 2017. De la protestul împotriva OUG 13. Atunci mi se părea imposibil ca cineva să grațieze mii de deținuți, doar pentru a scăpa o mână de persoane de închisoare. Credeam că mai rău nu se poate. Mă uit în spate și, cu un fior pe șira spinării, mă gândesc că atunci era chiar bine.

Ceea ce trăim acum este un război. Rusia ne atacă. Un atac de influență al alegerilor. Imaginează-ți că ești pe un câmp de luptă. În jurul tău, aproximativ 50% din câmpul de luptă este echipată doar cu tricou și pantaloni scurți. Aceia sunt analfabeții funcționali. Cei care nu pot distinge o știre fake de una veridică.

În fapt, ambele tabere de români, care acum se ciondănesc între ei, au aceeași frustrare: ura față de sistem. Ura de politicieni care doar promit și nu fac nimic de cele mai multe ori

Din păcate, mentalitățile nu se schimbă deloc ușor în timp, ci mai degrabă se formează. De aceea e nevoie atât de mare de investiții în educație.

Când școala pune atât de mult accent pe individualism nu e deloc de mirare că ultranaționalismul a prins atât de mult avânt. - trebuie să fii primul, trebuie să fii cel mai bun, doar cei mai buni se premiază, ignorându-i, de cele mai multe ori, pe cei care au făcut un salt de la nota 5 la nota 7 - ești într-o continuă competiție, ești evaluat individual de cele mai multe ori

Și atunci, cum să nu ne dorim, noi ca popor, să reușim de unii singuri? Să credem că doar noi suntem miezul și să îi considerăm pe cei ce investesc în țara noastră inamici.

Cât despre educația civică. E aproape o glumă. Se face o oră pe săptămână la final de gimnaziu.

Eram în vară într-o tabără despre implicare civică. Avusesem treabă în zonă și luasem un Bolt. Când îi spuneam șoferului de ce sunt acolo și ce fac. răspunsul lui a fost: - A, deci le spuneți cu cine să voteze, nu?

Cam acesta este nivelul....

E incredibil cum, în ziua de azi, nici măcar vorbele ambasadorilor, ale oficialilor NATO sau surse de la SRI, SIE, MAI, STS nu mai sunt crezute de unii cetățeni.

Dar pe de o parte e de înțeles. Cum să nu fii frustrat, când aproape toată presa e cumpărată? Aici intervine gândirea critică și abilitatea de a identifica un fake news. Pentru că da, mai există surse credibile.

Recorder și Starea Nației sunt doar două dintre ele. În care eu am foarte mare încrede, ba chiar le susțin și financiar. Pe lângă ele mai sunt: Gen, Știri, G4media, Pro TV, Digi 24, Ziarul Financiar, Adevărul și nu numai.

Duminică nu e vorba de Lasconi vs Georgescu. E vorba despre România vs Rusia. Trebuie să ieșim în număr cât mai mare la vot. O să fie o perioada grea. Rusia vrea panică, instabilitate, certuri. De aceea va intensifica atacurile în fake news, pentru a nu pierde alegerile.

Tare greu de zis ce se va întâmpla. Totuși cred că în ambele variante se va ajunge la proteste. Frică îmi e și de un război civil. Pare aproape.

În final o să las aici 2 recomandări de cărți:

Secolul singuratatii. O pledoarie pentru relatiile interumane, de Noreena Hertz. Cu accent pe Capitolul 3 - Oameni și șoareci. Explică de ce ultranaționalismul a prin atât de mult teren în lume (pg 47 - 73)

Și eu am trăit în comunism, de Ioana Pârvulescu. O colecție de povești, de la oameni care au trăit în acele timpuri.
