It’s so cute that Anakin and Padmé have this couple-like motto between them from AOTC when Anakin tells her about his “aggressive negotiations” and Padmé echos that back to him in the Arena of Geonosis making it a sort of “inside joke” between them. It’s also so cute that Padmé mimics Anakin’s words, so much that it’s now something she just says in general. I remember there was a scene in the novel “Wild Space” where Bail mentioned how Padmé once used Anakin’s terminology with him and that just tells me that Anakin’s words became a normal part of Padmé’s word bank as well.
Psychology does claim that a person tends to mimic the acts of the one they love 💕

I have Batfam Brainrot and it literally wouldn’t let me sleep, so you all get to see my first ever time drawing Nightwing! This could also be called my progressive dorkification of him, because my Dick Grayson is Dork Grayson and and I will not be taking criticism at this time. :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Initial trace where I begin stylization and get a feel for how to draw the character. I didn’t wanna do the whole background, so you get a half-baked moon-shot instead. Also, I’m trying to get character vibes, and Dick is a lot less cranky in my head than he is in this photo, so I also made him happy.
Tumblr media
Drawing the character in my style with my trace, but not the initial photo as a reference. As you can see, my style leans chibi. Smaller bodies, bigger heads. I also want him to contrast to when I eventually draw Jason and he’s just built like a fridge.
Tumblr media
Pose for characterization. He’s a sweet little idiot and I love him. Yes, I traced the Nightwing text. No, I don’t want to talk about my bad handwriting. He also totally just broke something important in both pictures. I didn’t wanna shade, and I also wanted to make sure basic poses were still readable in the black Nightwing suit.

Pirate Kyoshi/flying opera AU
I wanted to draw this for i while and i still think i will but in case i cant (no time, but i think i can make it) i just gonna drop my idea here:
Pirate Kyoshi and Flying Opera Company
(This will be SUPER long im thinking about it for a while now)
basically: "what if Kyoshi had accepted Tagata's offer" it would be like "i will go with you if you let everyone go."
I kinda mix a little bit with airbender Kyoshi too, but different, so follow me here:
for this AU specific i thoght in make Kyoshi enter the fitht nation and pretend to be a non-bender to Tagata at the beginning since canonically she dont earthbend in front of her intil the seafloor (dosent happend in this scenario)
Why?? do you remember when Tagata say she dosent have use to earthbenders in a ship? But she look to Kyoshi and see "potential"
[Important detail in this AU: Tagata recognise Jesa's fetures in Kyoshi just like that other pirate did (see this in a coment somewhere and love it), i didnt make a backstory for them but i think it would be cool, the point is: she knows Kyoshi is Jesa and Hark daugther]
Because of that Tagata is divide trying to figure out if Kyoshi is an earthbender or an airbender, and Kyoshi's plan is just pretend she can't bend anything to make Tagata "lose time" intil she finds a way to ether escape or defeat her
But when Tagata try make Kyoshi airbend Kyoshi thinks "this will never work, im obvious not the avatar" what make her relax (which is what was missed in the firebend test in canon btw) and dont think about it much
And then she airbend
And BOOM, suddenly she's the avatar, literally only her knows it, and she is surrounded by a bunch of daufei, while being untrained, scared and lost in a completely unfamiliar territory
So, since she cant go back to Yokoya (Tagata and the deal she made etc etc.) She goes to her cannon next impulsive plan B
The Flying Opera Company
Somehow she convince Tagata to bring them in the ship as her "team" or "guests" bc she needs more training (its true) and they would be the only daufeis who would have some idea of how to help her
So she goes to the tea shop and convince them to joing her (in almost the same way of cannon: "you're our lider's daugther and its offering transportation") and agrees to teach her if she joins they, making their vows instead of Tagata's, this way they would be a gang working for pirates instead of part of tagatas krew, which make its possible to Kyoshi be/go openly againt her (not that something would really stop her, but still..)
And thats would be kinda it, they would be runing with the pirates, making caos. With a airbender in there ship they would be easily the "best"/bigest pirates ever (she can literally control the wind, in a ship) besides, fighting with a airbender is something you wouldn't expected or be prepared to do in the daufey line of work
And Kyoshi would be pretending to be just an airbender (probably making up a history of "i couldnt try it or they would figure out", or "it didnt work before" or "i knew it but couldnt train it" something like that) both for Tagata and the Flying Opera (exept Lao Ge who figure it out, maybe he teach her how to kill people here too)
So besides Kyoshi being almost openly agains Takaga and planing for her dawnfall, (she is BAD at pretend to like someone) and seemed to be more of a willing prisioner then a real part of her crew, having a daufei airbender is a super advantage and Tagata is smart enogth to use Kyoshi in her benefit even when Kyoshis is trying so sabotage her or going agains orders, thats a dangerous dinamic, especially with Kyoshi involved, but i think would be great to see it
I dont know how this would end tho (maybe a postponed seafloor rise?)
Some still untied points:
-Jianzhu would still be a big villan, i have some plans for him (and maybe Hei-Ran) but nothing concret
-Rangshi is obviously the endgame, i just dont know yet when she would join Kyoshi (she would never let Kyoshi go with Tagata, so they would have left before Rangi arrives) but since she would definitely go after her and i think this would be it, at some point she finds her and tags along
-Kelsang dies protecting Yun from Jianzhu
Is killed by Jianzhu when he discoveres Kyoshi to be the avatar
Dies trying to go after Kyoshi
Lives and help Kyoshi with airbender later on♡
-Lek lives
-i have NO IDEA how to make Kyoshi get her things (fans, makeup, diary etc.) but she does
And thats it
Write this make the drawing ispiration grow back stronger so maybe i will do somethings of this later

The Gospel of Immunity: A Sermon on the Sacred Shield of Vaccination
Behold, the paradox of human cognition: we champion progress, yet tremble before its fruits.
In a world spinning upon the axis of relentless biological warfare—our cells besieged by microbial marauders—vaccines stand as sentinels, the silent paladins of immunological defense. Yet, their divine efficacy is often questioned by those who worship at the altar of anecdote, forsaking the empirical cathedral of science.
Consider the Magnitude of Their Grace
Vaccines are not mere concoctions of modern alchemy. They are the crystallized wisdom of centuries, born of Pasteur’s tenacity, Jenner’s courage, and the accumulated trials of countless minds wielding microscopes like swords. They have subdued polio’s paralysis, exorcised smallpox’s specter, and shielded countless millions from the venoms of measles, tetanus, and pertussis.
And what of their adversaries? The infinitesimal specter of adverse reactions. Let us quantify the peril: the risk of a severe allergic reaction to a vaccine—a dreaded anaphylaxis—is approximately one in a million. To contextualize, the chance of being struck by lightning in one’s lifetime is 1 in 15,300. Shall we eschew umbrellas next? Or perhaps condemn electricity itself as too great a hazard to endure?
On Negotiation with Risk
Vaccination is not the obliteration of risk; it is a calculated negotiation with uncertainty. To vaccinate is to weigh the scales of harm and benefit, to face the specter of a one-in-a-million reaction and declare that the lives of millions are worth that gamble. Contrast this with the toll exacted by diseases unopposed: measles alone claims the lives of over 100,000 annually, most of them children. This is not conjecture—it is arithmetic, immutable and unyielding.
Shall we refuse the shield because it may chafe? Shall we spurn the ship because it cannot promise calm seas? Such is the folly of those who elevate potential discomfort above the preservation of collective health. They barter statistical insignificance for certainty of peril, trading herd immunity for herd vulnerability.
The Poetry of Immune Memory
The true marvel of vaccination is not merely its prevention but its pedagogy. Vaccines instruct our immune system, training it to recognize the invader before the battle has begun. They are rehearsals for wars that may never come. To vaccinate is to inscribe within the body a symphony of defense, a living testament to humanity’s ingenuity and resilience.
Without this foresight, the immune system becomes a tactician unprepared for the ambush. Disease ravages unchecked, leaving scars upon both flesh and society. Vaccines, therefore, are not just medicinal; they are ethical. They embody the moral imperative to protect not only oneself but the vulnerable—the infant, the immunocompromised, the elder.
A Closing Admonition
Let us not falter in the face of misinformation, for it spreads with a virulence rivaling the diseases we seek to defeat. Let us arm ourselves with knowledge and statistics, with reason and compassion. The act of vaccination is an act of faith—not blind faith, but faith rooted in evidence, nurtured by science, and borne aloft by the unassailable truth that humanity is stronger united.
Go forth, then, and spread the gospel of immunity. For in the armory of progress, the needle is mightier than the microbe.

maybe weird thought that just hit me; a locked tomb AU set in the Disco Elysium world could actually work... kinda awesomely? IDK, the vibes just somehow align in a way that *works* in by brain. Can 1000% imagine Harrow latching onto Dolores Dei as her 'alecto' in it like crazy. Gideon as some shipping dock worker. The Second just *reek* of that pathetic cop energy that try to come into Martinaise and be 'The Law' and fail spectacularly. Just... so many things lining up perfectly in my head. Plus as someone who normally viscerally dislikes modern AUs I think it could actually work pretty well as a modern-adjacent locked tomb AU. That kinda 'almost modern, almost our world... but not quite' energy that preserves the weirdness of tlt.

idk who needs to hear this but if you're writing an arthurian retelling and neglect gaheris...you are my enemy. either cut him entirely (like gillian bradshaw) or use him fully (like gerald morris) but under no circumstances are you allowed to dump his crimes onto agravaine and split. you're supposed to add depth, not shift the maximum two things he does narratively and leave him with nothing. gaheris did not put his whole pussy into his squire duties to be written off as the tagalong matricidal middle bro with zero personality traits to speak of. he's going on a high shelf until authors grasp this.

// I’m still on my dowry shit and like. Regardless of how dowries actually work in westeros, if you want to marry Adelaide Douglas is slapping down the thickest contract imaginable establishing her dowry, the amount of money expected to be given to to her for maintaining herself, the household, her wardrobe, and pleasure spending, establishing her own separate incomes from Sweetgrove, the amount expected to be paid to her in widow income, future allotments for any of her daughters dowries, etc

Every time I think about f!Leo meeting present Leo I get real mixed feelings. Cause that’s all your past mistakes, and all your past rights, in one individual. That’s you, but hes also not you. Because you look at him and all you can see is a stranger because you have alienated your past self so much from what you actually were to justify blaming yourself for the end of the world. It’s like you have brought the past back to life but he isn’t the past you, it’s a stranger wearing your own skin. How do you cope with that? Realizing that a stranger stands before you but you remember doing all the things he has done until your life ending mistake, that instead of ruining his life he has saved everyone.
Is he better than you? Is he worse? How can you tell, you can barely recognize yourself in the mirror much less this child. And that’s what he is, in the end, a child. A teenager with the weight of the world on his back, expectations too large for such narrow shoulders, and a stone carved mask. You were a child.
He’s not you, and you refuse to let him ever be you. You are made from death and fire and grief and sacrifice. You will never let that happen, his brothers (your brothers) will live long happy lives and know not of the pain you have felt. Even if you hate him, love him, are neutral to him, you will not let him be you. Because that would mean losing everything once again, and you only just got this second chance back.
But much like a snake eating its own tail, you can feel the presence of the past on your back and know that you will never escape from what you are. He might carry the world, but you carry a dead universe on your shell. Can you forgive a stranger wearing your face when you can barely forgive yourself? Can you love someone that was once you? Can you hate the child who did not know what a simple mistake would wrought upon the world?
You are him, but he will never be you. Are you okay with that?
You have to be, it’s all you can do.
