-Brunnhilde was hoping that you were going to be able to keep Nikola from blowing up the lab again, keeping him entertained with your intelligence. She had told the scientist that she was bringing a surprise for the lab, but only if nothing happened- no explosions, no bodily harm, nothing bad!

-When you walked in with Brunnhilde to the lab, Nikola came over, surprised to see that his surprise was a person as you held out your hand, “Y/N Stark- nice to meet you, big fan.” The man wasn’t clicking immediately as you noticed the other human fighters were present as well as a few of the gods.

-You didn’t seem at all bothered by crashing the get together as you shook hands with Nikola who looked like he was studying you, trying to figure out why your name sounded so familiar.

-Brunnhilde told you both with a stern glare, “Behave!” you just grinned, not at all bothered, “But that’s no fun!” her glare darkened, and you grinned, finding it fun to rile her up.

-She left and Nikola spoke, “Where do I know you from?” you smirked, pulling your glasses off and you set your briefcase down, “Perhaps I should show you instead.”

-Your briefcase opened, and everyone went wide-eyed, seeing the pieces coming out, attaching to your body, covering it with a suit of armor as your hands came to your fists, “Most call me Iron Man!”

-Nikola dropped to his knees, crying crocodile tears as a light was shining from the heavens above, completely stunned that he was meeting you.

-You removed the piece and instantly he started in on the questions, asking you about the materials your suit was made out of, how it attaches, and the inner working mechanics.

-The two of you were speaking as if you were talking about banana bread recipes, but to everyone else who was in the room, now forgotten, they could only sit there, trying to decipher the language you and Nikola were now speaking.

-They ended up leaving after about a half hour, their brains hurting and you both said goodbye when they did the same, as you were excited as well, getting someone so intelligent to talk to.

-Not three hours later, a massive explosion rocked the lab, and it had Brunnhilde running, shocked to see what happened as Nikola was crawling out from under a desk while you sat up after being blown into a wall, coughing out black smoke, “Write that down!”

-You both quickly had lumps on your heads as you were being scolded by Brunnhilde, both of you being banned from the lab for the next week, not listening to either of your whines as her temple throbbed from anger.

Random Thoughts About the Magnus Archives

I feel like something's being said about your personality depending on which avatars you like and which ones you want to drop dead, I just don't know what. Like, anytime Peter showed up, I'd be like "You're a bitch ass, go away." But anytime distortion Michael made an appearance, I'd be like "That's my baby boy!" And there are a few that are kind of in between. Like with Nikola, I was like "You freak me the fuck out, but you're funny, so I guess that evens it out."

I think it's so interesting how despite a lot of the characters not getting any physical descriptions, a lot of artists in the fandom draw them the same way. Like, Melanie almost always has colorful hair, usually blue. Jon's hair gets longer with every season. Helen is almost always wearing purple. I just wonder how everyone unanimously agreed on some of this stuff.

I thought the Leitner rant was a canon thing, so I avoided anything about it 'cause I wanted to be surprised. I think near the end of the series though I finally looked it up and I was like "What!? This was a fan thing?" Totally hilarious though, I kind of felt the same way about Leitner.

The inside jokes are fucking hilarious, like the "homophobic vase." Or we have classics like "I just listened to the episode where the guy has sex with a bug." "Oh, which one?" and "Peter and Elias are definitely divorced."

Seeing what episodes scared people and which ones had people going "Actually, that sounds kind of nice" was very interesting. Like, episode 57 where the guy was stuck all alone in space? Emotionally destroyed me. But then others would be like "Yo, being able to be all alone in space with no one to bother me? Sign me up."

Also interesting to see which Fears scared people the most and which ones they think they would end up serving. I think the Buried scared me the most. Episodes 15, 132, and 195 freaking terrified me. I'd probably end up serving the Lonely, I remember thinking "Oh, that's me," with a lot of episodes, particularly episodes 159, 170, 186. It was a weird combination of "I'm in this statement and I don't like it" and "I actually feel seen." Like a weird mix of being called out and also kind of validated because I felt like my thoughts and feelings were finally being put into words and that meant somebody else had gone through the same thing.

What were some popular fan theories that ended up not coming true? I think I saw somewhere that a lot of people were theorizing that Martin would join the Web before he ended up serving the Lonely instead. People often say Gravity Falls fans grew up to be Magnus Archives fans and I remember Gravity Falls fans going crazy with some of the theories. And even if some of them ended up not happening, they're still really interesting.

I love how a lot of the characters do shitty things, but you completely understand why. Like, Melanie's wrong for blaming Jon for a lot of things that go wrong, but you understand that she feels trapped like an animal in a cage, so she's just lashing out. Or Tim is kind of an asshole in season 3, but you understand because he went through a lot of the same trauma that Jon did, he's just reacting with anger instead of paranoia.

I've been watching a lot of fan animations for this show and a lot of the comments are like "I checked out the Magnus Archives because of this video!" And the same thing happened to me too. Did you guys see any fan animations that made you decide to give this show a go?

When people draw Jon with long hair, they draw him like he’s the prettiest man alive and I love it. That or ends up looking like Jesus or Bruno Madrigal

I see every day things like a spiral shaped object or a spider and I jokingly think “Is that a Magnus Archives reference?” Or I’ll be listening to a song and think “Hmm, that could go in a Lonely playlist” or “Ooo, that so fits with the Vast.”

You were definitely lesser, and he definitely despises you along with everyone else but... he supposes you may sleep in his private suite.

He somehow doesn't hear you when you point out that you didn't ask to sleep there in the first place.

Rubs your ears subconsciously. They're like a stress reliever for him, and dealing with other gods caused him great amounts of stress. He's embarrassed by it (though he'd die before admitting it) and so whenever he catches himself reaching for you, he has the audacity to get mad at you, and send you away.

Quickly calls for your return though. Which he also is embarrassed by.

Loves when you purr in your sleep. Late at night with nothing and no one to see how his face relaxes as the vibrations hit his chest. One large hand adoringly placed atop your head, he hasn't slept this well in eons.

Buddha ♥︎

His initial impression of you was unhinged; he'd caught you in some sort of... hiss-off with an actual cat. It was far too interesting a sight for him to simply ignore it. So he sat there, for ten good minutes, until you finally emerged victor! He jumped and cheered right along with you, scaring you shitless.

He once managed to spook you and watched as jumped far above his head, shredding the wall as you embedded your claws in it.

Your canines are a strange source of serotonin for him. Sharp as a lion's and strong as one too, you've bit the shit out of him a few times while he was admiring them- only a few weren't on purpose.

Once said "Why do they call them canines when you're a cat? Shouldnt they be felines?"

You bit him for that too.

Nikola Tesla ¤

He wants to figure out how you work. So, so bad.

He entered your life by grabbing you none to gently by the tail, hoping to gain insight from your reaction. While he did gain said insight, he also gained four new scratches on his face.

Pestered you for a long time with questions, none of which you answered. Eventually, advice from Buddha led him to setting up a nice dinner for the two of you- him, with a steak, and you, with a variety of fish and cat treats.

You appreciate the thought... you guess.

Always touching and poking you. He doesn't even realize how odly intimate he gets; holding your hand and playing with your fingers is just him studying how your claws extend. Trailing his fingers down your back is him trying trying to figure out if your tail connects to your spine or your ass. Massaging your ears? Ur, well... he hasn't come up with scientific reasoning for that yet, but he will!

(His excuse is that purring has been proved relaxing for humans, and wants to see if it still works with you. Doesn't know he could have asked Poseidon 🤦🏾‍♀️👀)

Adores when you loaf on him, or "bake bread". He finds the semi-human equivalent of these cat behaviors to be extraordinary, and asks you dozens of "why?" And "how?" questions. When he asks too many, you stop, and don't continue until he promises to be quiet.

- There were many things about you that made you stand out wherever you went: your long, silky, pink hair that never seemed to be tangled, your cape that flowed so gracefully with every step, and your light blue eyes that looked so full of life and fun.

- That, and the fact that you seemed to come from an entirely different universe, honestly.

- Aside from your physical appearance, your constant displays of love towards humanity caught the attention of the Gods around you.

- The way you were always so gentle and nice with the mortals while still being elegant and dainty made you quite the catch instantly. Even though only a few knew about your origins — mainly because of your mysterious nature ��, you always presented yourself as kind and cheerful. Not to mention that you rarely ever spoke badly about anyone.

- Many like Kojiro, Adam and Jack enjoyed your company a lot. Even though they could easily defend themselves against anything, your protective nature, teamed up with your strength, wit and conveniently social nature turned you into their chosen protector.

- However, you were a being so different from them that you soon became Nikola Tesla's favorite person (subject). He could never get any kind of personal information out of you, other than the basics, but he did not mind, so long as he could get any info about the Meta-Morph Activators and surgery that you once mentioned. - Qin Shi Huang and Raiden loved to play-flirt with you, because you would always return the compliments despite the lightheartedness in your tone. And so on with the rest.

- Your relationship with the humans was one full of love, respect and care. You loved the mortals you now sought to care for, and it was a mutual feeling.

- Now… Judging from a fair distance your treatment toward the humans, Buddha was the first god to approach you without seemingly suspicious intentions. He shared a lot of your love regarding the mortals you had come to become friends with, which made you two quite close rather quickly.

- One thing that picked his interest was the difference between the Valkyries you knew and the ones he and the Einherjar knew. So, you guys did not have a Brunnhilde? Crazy.

- He loved to hear everything about your stories, activity that often led you to try and dodge a few personal questions in order to keep your own secrets hidden.

- You never mentioned anything too personal or close to home, and while you feared that it'd push him away, Buddha could not care less about it, so long as your true self remained this sweet, kind and cheerful girl that he adored.

- Speaking of gods, it was one night when you were making your way back home, after a particularly long day with the Einherjar, that you caught a certain pair of very intense eyes staring at you from behind a tree.

- At first, you didn’t mind much since whoever was “hiding” remained in their spot, but as soon as you started to walk away, this stranger lunged from his rabbit hole and made his way to you in a frighteningly fast manner.

- Much to your surprise, it was Anubis from the Egyptian Pantheon. You knew about him, as he was quite the character, apparently.

- Nevertheless, you did not expect this guy to be so… Sweet! He was so curious about everything concerning you. Sometimes it felt like he had way too much more energy than what you could bear, but it was easy to warm up to him.

- Similar to your relationship with Buddha, most of the private facts came from the Egyptian God of the Afterlife and Funerary Rituals himself, as you were quite reserved and chose not to open up that much. But he was just so easy to get close to, it honestly made you feel comfortable without creating any barriers or distance regarding the lack of mutual oversharing.

- Though, it was almost impossible to avoid his questions at times…

“Why are your ears so pointy?” Anubis asked with sparkling eyes, making ungodly efforts not to touch your ears as his nail tapped against the gem on your hair clip.

- You simply laughed, pointing at them before saying that it would be a story for another day. You were not going to explain the entire MANTIS ordeal just yet. Perhaps you would never mention it at all. Still, there were some loose concepts every so often that entertained him enough.

- Moth Fire? The Thirteen Flame-Chasers? He could barely connect the dots but gladly sat down for hours on end to keep asking stuff about your past. It made you happy.

- In the end, you became friends with most of the pantheons and mortals easily without revealing much about yourself. There was this unexplainable charm about you that drew them all to you like a moth to a flame, but as long as they respected you and your boundaries, you'd shower them with gentle affections and kindness, as well as protection.

- Except for those gods out there that clearly held some contempt against humanity. May those around help any deity that dared to disrespect a human in your presence.

Baby Names

Fiddelford had moved in about a week ago and they were settling into a comfortable routine already. Ford forgot how good it felt to have a human companion around. It felt just like college. Cracking jokes between them while they crunched numbers for hours and chewed through ink and paper like their lives depended on it. Ford had established a timeline he wanted to meet for their project. Goal projections based on their progress so far. Things were moving along faster with Fiddelford here. Well, not as fast as Ford hoped but maybe that was because they kept distracting each other.

They made good progress today at least. It’s why when Fidds went upstairs to find an empty fridge Ford agreed to going out for dinner. Reluctantly admittedly. He’d been neck-deep in his calculations at the time, but he hadn’t eaten all day and Fiddleford wasn’t giving him much of a say in the matter. Not that Ford regretted it. The diner was a nice break. Ford even got a bit of sunlight when they left the house. The sun was down now as the two of them laughed over mostly empty plates of chili fries. Jokes about Quantum versus Newtonian physics transitioned to the reveal that Fiddleford had been considering naming his son Newton originally.

“And you went with Tate?” Ford laughed.

“An what’s wrong with Tate?” Fidds blustered. “It’s a good name. He's mah, little tatter tot.”

“He could have been Newton.” Ford stressed. Gesturing exasperately towards the table. “How was that not a downgrade.” 

“Emma liked Tate better.” Fidds replied indignantly. “It’s a nice name. Named him after her Pa.” 

Ford couldn't help but shake his head. “Of course. You’d never see me sacrificing my kid's name like that.” 

“That’s what a marriage is Stanford.” Fidds scolded. Scooping up some of the last of his chili on a soggy french fry and shoveling it into his mouth. Mumbling between bites. “It’s a partnership, sometimes ya gotta compromise.”

“Ya well, it’s an unfortunate compromise.” Ford replied. 

“Like ya’ll could do better.” Fidds snorted. “What would ya even name a boy if ya had one?” He asked.

“Oh, that’s easy.” Ford replied. Taking a sip of his pit cola. “Nikola.” He replied without skipping a beat. The name of his childhood idol.

It was Fiddleford’s turn to laugh at that. “Yer kiddin' right? When's the last time ya met an American boy named Nikola? Ya’d get him bullied on the playground fer that one.” He teased.

Ford puffed up his cheeks irritably. “It’s a perfectly respectable name. Besides, people would just call him Nick. Nick’s a perfectly normal name.” 

“Suppose so. Bit bland.” Fiddleford countered casually. Lazily scooping up another fry. It took Ford a second to register from Fiddleford's tone that his friend was fucking with him. Lighthearted pay back for Ford insulting his son's name which was fair.

“Still better than Tate. I know that kid’s getting picked on.” Ford grumbled.

“Not at all.” Fidds beamed. His whole face lit up talking about his son. The biggest prideful smile as he gushed about how loved his son was. “Tate’s a real go-getter. Natural born leader that one. Other kids love em. You should see em leadin’ his little grew round the playground.”

Ford was happy for his friend. If a bit detached from it all. “That’s why you’re a father and I’m not. You’re clearly doing something right.” 

Fiddleford seemed to shrink a little. Crossing his arms on the table as his own smile faded. “I’m sure you’d be good at it.” He said. It was clearly meant to be reassuring.

“It’s never going to happen.” Ford stated simply. Swinging down the rest of his drink. 

“You don’t want kids?” Fiddleford asked.

“It’s not that explicitly don't want kids.” Stanford replied. He rolled the pit around on his tongue for a moment before spitting it back out into the can. “Having children would require getting married and in order to do that I’d have to convince someone to marry me and in order to do that I’d have to convince a woman to like me-” Ford shuttered. Memories of high school failures flashing through his mind like post-traumatic stress. “Let’s just say I don’t see that happening any time soon.” He confessed. 

It’s not like he ever really had much of an interest in women anyway. Stanley and Shermie were always crazy about them. Sandford could take them or leave them really. Well, in theory. No women ever wanted him anyway so he supposed the feeling was mutual. He only ever made attempts at dating in his youth out of a sense of social obligation. That’s just what young men were expected to do. He imagined sometimes it would feel nice to be wanted by women. He met a siren once who made him feel wanted. It was a nice feeling. Unfortunately, it turned out she only wanted him for his legs.

“Mom still pesters me about it occasionally.” Ford grumbled. “When she remembers to call.” Last time they talked was days after his birthday. He was still shaking off the side effects of his bender with Bill at the time. “Says my niece is doing well in school. I’m proud of her. She sounds like a bright girl. Apparently, Shermie’s been getting his act together. If only I could say the same for Stanley.” He huffed.

“Can’t win 'em all I suppose.” Fidds replied sympathetically. He knew about Stanley. Knew he was a sensitive subject. “Ya ever go home to visit yer folks?” He asked.

Ford gestured out to the woods outside their window. “Why would I? Gravity Falls is a marvel Fiddelford. I have everything I could ever want right here in this town. It’s perfect.” He looked back down at his hand on the table. Tucking in his fingers. “There’s nothing waiting for me back in New Jersey.” 

“If ya insist.” Fidds replied skeptically. He scarfed down his last fry and his face lit up for a moment. “Y’know I’d love to have ya come out to Palo Alto with me sometime. Come meet my boy. I’m sure ya’d love him.” He cheered. 

Ford winced and politely declined. “Oh, I don’t think so. I’m not exactly popular with children.” He admitted. “I don’t even get trick-or-treaters anymore.” 

Fiddleford laughed and slapped his knee under the table. “Well yeah, 'cause ya hand out veggies like a square.” He laughed.

“They’re high fiber supplements and they-”

“They taste like the tree bark a squirrel shat out.” Fidds chided playfully. He waved dismissively at Ford as he struggled to contain his laughter. “Look if ya just come out with me I know ya-”

“Closing time. Everyone out.”

A voice cut off Fiddelford’s reassurances. Not that Ford needed to hear the rest. He knew he was never going out to Palo Alto. He loved Fidds but the man couldn’t pay him to go make awkward small talk with his wife and young child. Ford could imagine few things more unpleasant and wasteful of his time and energy.

This scene is from my Billford fic Hand of God and it is what inspired the Papa Ford AU. It's going to get copied and reused in Bigger than Myself as well. Felt like sharing it just by itself because it's a cute scene. Also, I know Ford's narration at the end is a little douchey. Bill's been the only person he's had to talk to for a while and he tends to bring out Ford's more antisocial tendencies.

Truly a match made in Valhalla, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind. The pharmacist and scientist, spending long hours researching in your respective fields, yet it would either be Tesla or you to drag the other away from the lab to get some fresh air, maybe even lunch at a nice cafe. There are times when Tesla has friend-zoned himself into thinking that he wasn’t worthy of your love, and it was with a well-timed sweep of your leg to cause the man to stumble into your arms and allow you to kiss the fool, proving his theory incorrect because you shared his romantic sentiments. 

Yes, it’s true that your initial interest in him had simply been curiosity when Brunhilde had asked you to help figure out the flaws in his formula, there is no denying that. When you pointed out these parts in the equation, you expected the man to ignore your advice, even a scowl at the audacity of actually needing help from others.  Instead of being insulted by your suggestions, however,  he stared at you in awe for a moment before he twirled you in the air with childish delight, singing praises at your intellect. The two of you went out to have tea afterwards, with Tesla picking up the bill since he did intrude on your research time. 

The more that the two of you spent time together, the more you got to know this erratic, thick-headed gentleman who thrived from learning the mistakes he made. He in turn learned much about you as well. 

If your own experiment hadn’t been perfected prior to Ragnarok, a solution that can fully heal a human even when they were critically injured, Tesla would not be standing as the winner of round ten against Beezlebub. You had fought in the prior match against Anubis….and he never found out that you were placed in a medically induced coma until Brunhilde took him to your room in the hospital’s intensive treatment unit. Her excuse for not informing him, and even going so far as to block any radio or electronic signal from entering Tesla’s lab, is that she needed him to focus on winning the fight. 

Humanity needed an advantage over the Gods to emerge victorious. 

You have now cheated death and laid down your life to ensure that humans would survive, twice. You weren’t going to give up on living; not now, not ever. Tesla knew this, and took comfort in knowing you like the back of his hand as he sat by your bedside.

You had saved his life. Now, he will wait however long it would take for you to wake up and give you such a thorough scolding that you’d be tempted to smother him with a pillow.

Hi! I was wondering if you could write something about fem reader being from another dimension with Buddha, Qin Shi Huang, Nikola, Hades and Raiden (all separate if that's okay), reader can basically travel throughout dimensions and universes and often times take pictures of the place and being back things they got from the dimension (I can just imagine Nikola begging reader to take him with her 😭)

-You were a dimension hopper, going from different dimensions and worlds. You did it for fun, after discovering this new but odd power of yours, and you had no issues running around, hopping from one to the other.

-There were some dimensions you visited often, ones that you enjoyed going to, and then there were some you only visited once, putting them on your ‘do not visit again’ list.

-You collected souvenirs, usually pictures, but knickknacks and things like that were common as well, as a memento of the different worlds you visited, and you had those decorating your room.

-You opened a new portal, which looked like a giant zipper in space and you stepped through, finding yourself in a large room with five men who were all staring at you with wide eyes, wanting to know where you came from.

-You just beamed brightly at them, “Hiya! I’m Y/N and I’m a dimension hopper! Nice to meet you!” instantly you were almost plowed down by Nikola who had you in his arms, his eyes huge and wide, looking almost manic as they were bloodshot as he began to rapid fire questions at you, wanting to know EVERYTHING!!

-You couldn’t help but grin as Buddha came over, pulling Nikola off of you so you could stand up and you were invited to join them, as they were curious on your ability.

-You were in shock to find yourself in Valhalla, and they were all either gods or humans from history and you couldn’t help but beam, “This is so cool! This Valhalla is so much brighter looking!!”

-Hades paused at your words, “This Valhalla?” you nodded, pulling out your camera and you quickly scrolled through the photos before coming to the photo, showing them a wasteland, like it had been attacked, burning and smoldering, with no life, “I cam across that one about a month ago, apparently something called Ragnarok happened, and it destroyed everything.”

-They all flinched, hearing about Ragnarok, worried about if that’s what would have happened if the tournament hadn’t been called off, and those who perished were brought back to life.

-You were amazed to learn this information, that Ragnarok almost happened in this dimension as well, but you were happy that it didn’t, as this seemed like a cool place.

-You spent the day with your new friends, putting this dimension on the list to revisit, as you liked the people you’ve met, finding them not only interesting but enjoyable to be around.

-They loved seeing your photos of the different dimensions you visits, throughout different times and eras, showing Raiden what Japan in the year 2050 looks like, something out of a sci-fi movie, you showed Qin Shi Huang ancient China if he didn’t become the emperor, which pissed him off as he saw so many people suffering.

-It was so unique to see different worlds if certain things didn’t happen, or if certain people didn’t exist. It was amazing to see what one missing person could do for a whole dimension.

-When you got ready to leave, promising to be back, Raiden and Buddha had to help get you free from Nikola, who was on his knees, begging you to take him with you, arms around your hips, not letting you leave.

-You promised to take him one day, once you could find out if it was safe to do so, as you didn’t want to risk your new friends and you unzipped reality again, stepping through and flashed them a smile as you zipped it up, disappearing again.

-Do you think candies have feelings?- Buddha stopped chewing on his gum as he heard your question. Your eyes were fixated on the candies in your palm. -Do I?- -I don't know- You put them back in the bag -Sometimes I wonder if we're not the only one feeling things- -Uh- The god went back on enjoying his sweets, popping another candy in his mouth with a satisfied crunch noise. -I never thought of that...-He admitted while putting his arms behind his back -Doesn't happen everyday to have asked this- You nodded. -Maybe they do, but it's not stopping me from enjoying them~ They must have a nice personality though, if they're so sweet-

Qin crawled under the luxurious covers of the bed. His arms sneaked behind you, pulling your body closer to his. He sighed in delight. -Tired?- You let him nuzzle his face in your neck. -Very much so. I think I'll sleep immediately- You gave a slight nod, closing your eyes as well. -Qin...do you think rocks are forbidden candies?- Qin shot his eyes open, rubbing them in confusion. -Excuse me?- -Yeah...like, pretty and shiny rocks.
