So our town has their pride parade/festival in early July to avoid overlapping with Seattle/Vancouver and between furry, animal prints and rainbows we were a whole spectrum of gay representing.

Of course my friends and I are all friends with benefits. The benefit of being friends with me is that I will randomly make you lil crochet projects and, no matter the time, I will drive you to Taco Bell, no questions asked.

Here’s some gay polyam joy:

I have three partners. Two started as mine and the third we’re all partners with now. He is a cis man, but is aroace. Our other two partners are both n-b, one identifies as pangender and often presents femme because they like that and use she/they pronouns. The other is agender and uses all pronouns/doesn’t have a preference. They present kinda masc because they feel it’s easiest. They also struggle with feeling trans enough.

I’m disabled, and they work. In theory, sometime this year, three of us are gonna cohabitate and our femme partner will eventually move in with us - but when, we don’t know, because they’re helping their mom afford the current place they live by paying rent (their brother does too).

It’s not a conventional family, but it IS a family, and I love them all. I can’t wait until we all live together. Til I get to see more than just one of them every day, and we can watch movies together and cuddle and I can have space to cook for them all…

It’s been a good year for us, for what we’ve started calling Our People, and I can’t wait :3

We also have two big all-of-us dates coming up! Ghost in August and Dethklok in September! My sibling is joining us for ghost (n-b, kinda femme in presentation) and they’re coming up from KY so I’m extra excited :3

Okay, Kas and David are making this whole being bedbound thing much easier than the first time I got an injury like this. Like, I can ask for help without being belittled, sighed at, or yelled at. Plus, they can help me in and out of bed and helped me find a more comfortable configuration for my pillows. Like, yeah, I’m in a ton of pain, but damn, are they making this feel like a breeze. I love them so much.

Sometimes I think I have a normal relationship with my friends. Then, I remember that, at any time, I can

look at the one I call Mami and say, "You still owe me a creampie," and watch as their braincells twitch before they remember I mean the literal pastry.

Compare toys and have to distinguish between one friend's and mine, cuz we have the same dick.

Building on that, since he calls his "worm on a string", explain to the group that Mami played with my ACTUAL worm on a string, and not my dick, when they stayed over.

Ask Papi for a literal cup of just strawberry topping, when he closes at DQ, and he both delivers with joy and asks no questions.

Ask Brother if I'd be able to borrow his couch, so that I could have a place to have sex, should the need arise.

Casually call them my (platonic) polycule.

And pry a bunch of other things I'm missing.
