James Potter was a patient man.

Actually, that was a lie. He was one of the least patient people out there, but he had been for this particular situation. 

He had sat through nearly a year of Sirius mooning (ha) over Remus privately, and Remus staring yearningly at Sirius when he thought no one was looking.

So James decided to take matters into his own hands. 

And that was how Remus and Sirius found themselves locked in a closet together.

“Prongs, Wormtail, I swear to Merlin-” Sirius’s muffled voice snarled. The door of the closet rattled, most likely due to Sirius throwing himself at it again.

“Nope,” James grinned. “You two are staying in there and talking about your feelings.”

“Yeah,” Peter chimed in. “You two are obviously in love with each other.”

Remus and Sirius went silent. James and Peter exchanged looks, unsure of how the following altercation would go.

“He- I- what?” Sirius finally said, bewildered. “Me?”

“Yes, you,” Remus sighed. James could hear the exhausted look on his face. “Me?”

“Yeah.” James noticed that Sirius sounded a lot breathier now. Realizing what was about to happen, he and Peter high-tailed it out of there before Remus and Sirius started snogging. 

“Yes!” James cheered as he rounded the corner, high-fiving Peter. “We’re so awesome, Wormy!”

“That we are, Prongs.”

What if muggle AU Sirius and Remus meet in a mental hospital. What if Sirius is angsty and suicidal from his parent’s abuse and Remus keeps having panic attacks due to being in a car accident that left him physically disabled and they meet there. What if Sirius is grumpy and mean and aggressive because of trauma and Remus is quiet and jumpy and shy because of his pre-existing anxiety. What if Sirius takes a liking to Remus because he never treats Sirius like he’s some kind of bomb about to be exploded and that fascinates him. What if they get close because Sirius looks for people to protect after the death of his brother and Remus definitely needs protecting. What if they get close because Sirius needs someone to support him and help him stay calm and Remus is really good at both of those things. What if they learn to lean on each other and accept help together. What if they sit together and listen to music together while Sirius draws and Remus reads. What if James comes to visit Sirius and he’s so much calmer and even smiles and when he asks about it Sirius talks about this cute boy with freckles and a cane who sometimes needs a wheelchair and has the sweetest laugh. What if Hope and Lyall come to visit Remus and see how much he’s come out of his shell and how much more comfortable he’s gotten, and when they ask why, tells them about this boy with long hair and piercings and the sharpest wit he’s ever seen. What if they slowly get closer and closer and closer while bettering their mental health. What if they fall in love with each other more and more while watching each other become healthier and healthier.

this one's really interesting.. it's sorta set in the canon universe except no... it changed a couple major aspects of the history but the universe's mechanisms (the magic, the creatures, etc) are the same.. wolfstar centric. but there's a few interlude chapters with other characters' povs too. the most recent one with lily made me sob :(( the mcs (remus, sirius, james, lily, reg) are all in their mid-late 20s ig. horcrux hunt with james being the harry equivalent, i.e., the chosen one of the prophecy. discusses quite a few heavy themes so mind the tags..

muggle boarding school au. mainly focuses on the friendship and found family aspect. sirius centric, especially with his family (parents, cousins, brother). all the characters are incredibly fleshed out. this is year 1-3. the author is gonna write the rest of the years in another work. it's part of a whole series of various other works set in the same universe. very very wholesome and fluffy and hurt/comfort with emphasis on the comfort. maybe feels a bit unrealistic with how harsh the real world but it seems intentional

we do not make enough of the COMEDY it is that james is a fucking deer. like sirius being a dog and peter being a rat are obv tied to their characters but a deer is SO random. and i do not see it in fics enough. take the padfoot tropes and give them to prongs. students baffled because there was a deer walking around the dungeons? remus walking into the dorm and nearly shitting himself because there’s a deer sitting upright in james’ bed. whenever james is in a sticky situation he just goes deer mode and prances away

I’ll definitely do my best to get oneshots up at least once a month while I’m writing this, though!

I love writing oneshots and that’s most of what I post buuuut I’m currently simultaneously working on 2 big stories/series (story 1 in series 1 is 65 chapters, story 1 in series 2 is 30 chapters).

The first is a MASSIVE werewolf!Sirius AU featuring lots of angst in the past and some less severe angst in the present that follows him from fourth year to adulthood (guys it’s literally huge). The second is a Sirius-is-a-father AU with, again, a shit tonne of angst, both past and present, that has a big focus on recovery. Both feature WolfStar, big Marauders friend-group stuff, and Sirius and Regulus being close (I know right? I started plotting them a while back, which I hope is a sufficient explanation).

Which one would you guys prefer I work on first? I’m gonna get both of them up eventually, of course, but I struggle to stay focused on one thing for long periods of time so I’m gonna take a break between them.
