The fact I'm saying that about an existential song with a big coat of dance music paint over it. AH NEVERMIND IT'S FINE. I saw the music video for this and it's SO GOOOOD. So much that I had to draw the DJ guy in the video. I seriously loved how it was animated, so colourful and expressive. PERFECT FOR THIS SONG. Everything works together so much. You hadn’t heard from Percy all school year but now it was summer and you knew it was a bad idea because the two of you were done. You told yourself he’s only a friend, that is how you ended it after all. “We can still be friends, right?” Of corse percy had asked that, and being the person you were you said yes. There he was walking to his cabin. You couldn’t help but think he was the hottest man alive. He looked at you, wait, he looked at you and winked. “You really shouldn’t stare like that.” “I know Annabeth, but…” then you felt your phone buzzing. You looked at it to see who it was. “Ah! Um I’ll be right back.” You hurried away to answer. “Hey, percy.” “Hi y/n, you wanna get together at the lake in a minute.” “Sorry I can’t. I’m with Annabeth.” “Oh. Well you wanna come over to my place after lights out? You walked to Percy’s cabin from yours thank goodness you didn’t live in the Hermes cabin that would make getting out impossible. Oh there he was Standing there smiling waiting for you at this door with a crazy smile on his face. Your phone buzzed, and as you expected it was Annabeth texting you. “Please tell me you didn’t go” you decided to text her “I’m going to bed” you saw Percy motion for you to hurry up and walk inside leaving the door open. You quickly followed. You kept telling yourself he was only a friend, that’s all you saw him as, but you knew it was a lie. When you got in he was sitting on his bed and reached out his arms for you. You waited a minute, and there it was the baby seal eyes, the ones you couldn’t resist. When you walked over he stood up, wrapped his arms around you, rested his head on your shoulders, and whispered, “we should’ve stayed together. I don’t want to let you go.” You knew this would happen, you knew it was a bad idea, but what’s life without a few, fun, bad ideas. “Mhm” you knew Percy was smirking even though you couldn’t see his face. He wrapped his arms around you tighter, “mine”. He then caused you to fall into the bed with him, and that is where the two of you stayed for the rest of the night.

Other than lead singer, what is mc's role in the band? Are they the "face" of the band? Asking because since Zima is better (think like Maneskin's Damiano) and also a lead singer, wouldn't that make mc unnecessary or even replaceable, in a way?

Nonnie, I thought we went over this! I think I'm just going to refer to Fleetwood Mac from now on, because they're a great example.

But first, Zima isn't better. Zima is different. Zima complements, NOT replaces. MC is very much the face of the band, even though Zima will join them for real eventually.

Okay so. Bands with more than one lead singer work for a reason. Here's four of my favorite songs by the band Fleetwood Mac:

Rhiannon, written and lead vocals by Stevie Nicks. Genuinely one of the most beautiful, mystical songs I know.

Everywhere, written and lead vocals by Christine McVie, a song that's utterly romantic and peaceful and heartfelt without being boring. This is the song that really got me into Fleetwood Mac.

Go Your Own Way, written and lead vocals by Lindsey Buckingham. This is my favorite breakup song, and the way he basically shouts out the chorus is so powerful and wows me everytime.

The Chain, written by and featuring the vocals of ALL FIVE members of the band. Probably their most popular song ever and the one they typically opened live shows with, iirc.

These songs each mean so much to me. I wouldn't want to miss ANY of them. And Stevie Nicks, who is my personal favorite and to this day has TONS of die hard fans, also "only" ever did vocals (aside from occasionally adding tambourine parts). I can't imagine for the life of me anyone disagreeing with Stevie Nicks as a concept. I don't know why some of y'all think singers working together means one or more becomes "expendable".

Music is art, not a production line where you have to add X parts for a finished product.
