hello, loves

i've got a coffee by my side as i write this and oh my has school been busy. i've only been back three days so far and i have mountains of homework already. luckily, i know what i have to change with my study habits to be more efficient.

since i go to school pretty far away, i have to leave home at 6:55 each morning. this morning is an exception-- i don't have to take the bus since my dad is dropping me at the station. hence, today's morning post.

i hope that my posting hasn't been too boring while i've been inactive. i have a magazine post scheduled for saturday. issue one!

yesterday i got my immunisations done (i can't remember what they're for). both of my arms are so horribly sore and i don't know how i'm going to manage with training this arvo. i also feel incredibly exhausted. last night i passed out (to sleep) at 7pm.

anyways, i should probably get going--start getting ready for school.

Well…this week has been..interesting

So my back isn’t broken but the ortho referred me to a spine specialist so I’m out of work until further notice which is great 🙃…not if I can no longer do my job I’m moving in with family sooner rather than later

Don’t know what I’m going to do because I’m used to being active and it hurts to literally be alive soooo 🤷🏼‍♀️

Anyways I’m sorry I’ve been MIA but I’m back now 💕

I am very slow to wake up. And on top of that, I don’t have Adderall for today. Without it, I feel super tired.

So today will be fun. /sarcastic

Snip, snip, snip…

Okay, a little more of an explanation. This is going to be pretty simplified, because I haven’t actually done any extensive reading on it.

Because of my ADD, my body doesn’t produce enough dopamine. Without dopamine, I don’t have much get-up-and-go ability, and I feel tired. What Adderall does is it gets my body to produce more dopamine, balancing me out to what people normally have.

Now, what people with ADHD do because of their low dopamine, is they’ll do a bunch of stuff to trigger their dopamine makers—that’s the hyperactive part.

I don’t do that. I’m too tired to do that. And that’s why I don’t like saying I have ADHD, because I’m not at all hyperactive.

Adderall is seen as a stimulant (raises functional or nervous activity) that acts like a depressant (lowers functional or nervous activity). But like, it’s not? It stimulates the dopamine makers, which lets someone with ADHD balance out and not be so active. And like, for me with ADD, there’s no way anyone would call it a depressant.

So yeah! That’s the deal with that.
