Well, ours is a bit less pushy about it despite having the ability to literally start overriding control of our limbs to make us go to bed (he doesn't do that unless he has to)

Man, that probably sounds horrifying to people who aren't plural. I assure you it's really not unless you're stressed. It just feels natural to us to the point we don't really think about it. He only doesn't do it much because it's kinda rude (even that is a bit too strong of a term), not because it's unpleasant to us.
