finally got back to my computer after ages & immediately did the most textured digital thing i could think of. album cover study feat my ghostie

heres the og cover! drew from scratch n couldnt exactly replicate the wall graffiti style but i still like how it came out anyway

rly recommend this album if u dig alt rock/metal/etc btw. theres a very distinct eletronic reggae beat to some of the songs + rap n screaming and i LOVE this kinda music hehe. link for quick perusal below

#lykos don't look #Deltarune spoilers #deltarune #the most dramatic irony is that youre gaining less freedom of how the game plays out by doing the snowgrave #vs whatever variation and combo of npcs you can get by playing the game pacifistically or violence or doing a mix of both #you think its freeing but in reality the castletown will always be the same in snowgrave aka EMPTY #because thats how you have to play in order to get in that route #than if you were doing the regular route #you're losing freedom

Heyy everyone I have a question does anyone know an ARG from the late 2000s it was called blue tint sky or blue "..." skies it had like symbols and stuff in the text idk which ones. I read it on a creepy pasta webpage it was probably from 2009-2014 like a lot of ARGs were popular, I was 13-14 when I saw the ARG blue (tint sky) "..." skies so I don't have a bold memory of it just a foggy memory of a blue sky with clouds cover art with a sigil type symbol in the shape of a trident staff (i recreated the image below). Based on the sigil symbol and that there was symbols used in the titles and fonts I think the ARG had a theme with sigils and symbols the ARG Webpage I read ages ago had a few paragraphs of text. The ONLY lead I have or assumption is that it's based off of Ocean Grunge a sorta abandoned music genre that started in 2014ish I have been looking into the Seapunk and Ocean Grunge genre recently and I remembered the ARG blue tinted sky or blue "..." skies that reminded me of Ocean Grunge.

🔺🟧🔵 More Shape Mania For The Masses 🔵🟧🔺

Draft 1 of the tutorial video is finally complete, and the toroids have been lulled back into a torpor... for now.

This is an early clip that I scrapped because I forgot to set the virtual light source to mimic the direction of my real light source. Eventually some algorithm will be able to determine light sources in the room and generate shadows automatically, but for now I've gotta set them up manual style.

Anyways! Tasks for today included recording educational Shape Making voice-over and editing everything together.

I struggled writing the script for this one, because so many of the instructions sound like arcane wizard shit (using the Circle Shape Option with Frosting will create a ring - but will create a disk with Hull - BUT this disk will change shape into a UFO or marshmallow depending on the angle of your hand and size of the brush --), and in the end I opted to say very little and hopefully let the demo video do the explaining for me........

But we'll see about that. 😂

I'm legally not allowed to interact much with the Hunger Games fandom because I'm an american studies major in my 20s and would disrupt the fragile ecosystem of teenagers engaging with fictional depictions of fascist structures and just war theory.

The other reason is that I would have to immediately combust from Hypocrite Disease because I had self-insert Hunger Games OCs and engaged in shipping discourse, too. That's part of how we engage with depictions of fascist structures and just war theory as teenagers, and enabling that is part of what makes the franchise so special.

This reduces my natural habitat to 2-hour video essays about the cultural geography of Panem (x) and a few select posts, but that's a price I'm willing to pay for conservation.

#ramble #i am purposefully not naming any specific posts or takes that made me physically bite my tongue #because i am not going to stifle that. like even aside from politics. people deserve to engage with their fandoms however they want #especially when theyre young. they dont need me dropping a 10k essay on why their form of engagement is problematic #but this one most of all. this one needs to develop naturally.#“theyre so stupid for missing the point” says the mean voice in my head knowingly ignoring that that IS part of the point #im not tagging the fandom for the same reasons but i assume the tumblr word association crawler catches it anyway #i read the trilogy the first time when i was 13. the first book again in class when i was 16. again for leisure at 23 #and now im 27 and reading them again for hyperfixation reasons. and theres still stuff i didnt catch before.#when i was 13-16 i came up with a (fairly obvious) concept for a Hunger Games video game and I always wondered why they didnt made one #(aside from that one facebook idle game thats now defunct)#itd be an almost guaranteed cash cow. you could even do multiplayer. but i get it now. oh boy do i get it now.#still mixed feelings on the movies. i guess theyre as good as they were going to get.#i think one of those hbo franchise adaptation series would work quite well but theyd conflict with the target demographic #but oh man consider if they did all this marketing about a faithful retelling and how brutal and extreme it was #and then throughout the first episode it slowly sinks in that they're not showing anything of Katniss privately.#only the scenes in front of cameras. starts with the reaping. then the chariots. the interviews. only what capitol citizens would see.#the movies kinda muddies the line by having a different tv culture whenever they do capitol view.#but man imagine if they pulled that with a direct imitation of how we do reality tv now. sound effects and talking heads etc #if the hunger games happened today. do you think wed make memes about the dying tributes? way-too-ambigious puzzle/mystery game where the sequence of events is based in unreality

#like a crossover between portal and mystery games like dangan (I say this with acknowledgement that I've barely played any mystery games)#but dang case 5 is still my favourite for the use of luck bc every other case is grounded in reality #they just use some creative thinking of available resources but everyone knows how gravity or whatever works #and yet the luck use makes total sense. it's another resource/a rule that only applies to one specific character #but also doesn't come out of nowhere in that case 1 introduced it too but as a passive effect as opposed to something actively used #(though I'd also argue that contradictory to him playing it off as misunderstanding the rules of the game #the roulette scene was instead an instance of ko.maeda completely understanding how his luck actually works and manipulating that #to ensure he gets the least likely outcome and survives. but that's beside the point here)#actually i'm not even sure if a *whole* game based off stuff like that would be fun skldfhsd but I love portal a ton and it's #kinda the same idea as portal: introduce a new tool to the world #and teach the player how to use it; how to think with it; tutorialize it within the world #could be a true puzzle/mystery mix of having the player solve puzzles with the tool then later kinda do the inverse #of presenting peices of a solved puzzle and having them connect the dots of what happened to solve it #......mystery games being inverse puzzle games. is that anything? I should look into analysis of mystery games as a genre at some point #rip the fact one of the main barriers for me actually making a game is all the art assets needed. also music #but regardless jots this sorta thing down as an idea; unrealistic tools and the overlap between puzzle games vs mystery games #truly i should play more mystery games bc of how much fun I'm having with this one but alas I know if I play too many I'll get bored #this one's fun bc I love the over all story and all the mystery solving aspects is fun for being novel gameply dressing on top #probably just gonna return to studying math/phys once we're done the game bc it's a similar problem solving rush but more relevant to stuff #personal talk
