Finally cleaned up those Mimi dolls I got from Goodwill and put their outfits together as best as I could figure out - the only one I could find a picture of was the orange hair pop star themed Mimi. I think they turned out really cute and I think I’m a little obsessed with Mimi now.
First the pop star:
The Asiana Airlines flight attendant:
The maybe country girl themed doll? I’m not sure what you call this look (and I’m not sure all of the outfit pieces are right):
Finally, the bride (and one little pic of the groom):
These dolls have the sweetest little faces and I find myself smiling at them whenever I see their little smiles.

I made Anne some bloomers using Heirloom Doll Clothes for Götz by Martha Campbell Pullen, Ph. D, using the White Bloomers pattern.
I did alter the pattern by taking out 1/2” in the leg. I was worried they would be too long, but now I see they would’ve been fine as is. These bloomers have a higher back waistline than the front
All in all, it took about 2 or so hours to sew these up. I used an amalgamation of techniques, drawing on this book, my own knowledge, and the Mary Francis School of 1910’s Sewing including:
felled hem for the lace,
hand finishing for the inner leg seams,
increased the casing from 3/4” to 1 1/8” to accommodate the elastic I had on hand,
moved up the leg elastic placement,
stitched on top of the elastic, instead of not catching it (my machine stitch only goes to 3 mm width)
tailored the amount of elastic (from 5”/ 7” w/ 2” seam allowance, down to 4 1/2 with 1/2” seam allowance),
and added my own touch with extra lace trim above the elastic frill.
Anne is still borrowing Addy’s Semi-Historical Camisole Top, but I plan to make her this peplum camisole once I get some more lace trim… plus a petticoat with the same wide joined type lace trim I used for that lace camisole and Addy’s fancy pantalets.

I haven’t had anything to post from Goodwill lately so I’m excited to post my newest find. I don’t know much about these dolls and would welcome any information you all might have.
These dolls still need to be cleaned but I wanted to post pre-cleaning pics because I usually don’t. Anyway, I know these are Mimi dolls from South Korea and I’ve been able to find info on a couple of them.
First, Asiana Airlines stewardess Mimi:
Next, I don’t know what this one is called but I found info that she is from 2003 and has a pop star theme:
This next one was in a wedding dress (which was tagged Mimi} and based on the jewelry I’m guessing this was her original outfit:
This one was wearing this checked country girl style dress, but her fantasy color hair makes me think it isn’t her original outfit (although it is tagged Mimi):
This next one is a boy doll that is marked with the Mimi World trademark and was wearing this tuxedo outfit. - but it seems a little big and had no tags:
My next post will be of the last doll from this lot, who isn’t a Mimi doll and is a complete mystery to me.
