You were nearly startled out of your skin when the doorbell rang at 4:00 A.M. You threw the covers off, slipped on a jacket, and headed towards the door, tired, cranky, and wondering just who the hell would dare to disturb you at this hour. Rubbing the sleep from your eyes, you swung the door open and gaped at the person standing before you.

"Raiden?!"

The cyborg in question stood on your doorstep, though there was something off about him. His normally grayish eyes were a bright red, gleaming with a sort of malice you'd only ever seen when Jack, his alter ego, escaped. Wait...if that was true...then...

Your eyes widened as you regarded the man before you, watching how his expression shifted from passive nonchalance to an amused smirk.

"Ain't ya gonna invite me in, Y/N?" He asked, in a playful manner unfamiliar to you.

"Yeah...sure." You yawned, excused yourself, then held open the door for him. Raiden stomped through the door, metal heels clicking against your floor.

"Nice place," He remarked, as if he'd never seen it before. "Real nice. You live here alone?" You nodded groggily, following him as he wandered around your house.

"That's good," He nodded, noting some pictures of you and him that had been propped up on a table nearby. "Real good." He chuckled, then spun around to look at you. "I'm gonna stay the night, you mind?" You shook your head slowly; there wasn't all that much you could do about it. If he wanted to stay, he would stay, regardless of whether you approved or not.

"Good answer," He grinned, reaching forwards and mussing up your hair with his metal hand. Sleepily, you directed him to the bathroom and told him to freshen up however he needed to while you made some coffee. Surprisingly compliant, he agreed, and closed the door on you with a smile.

Several minutes later, Raiden rejoined you in the kitchen for a hot cup of coffee (he drank his with a straw). The two of you sat at the kitchen table in silence, drinking your beverages with quiet respect for one another, but nothing more.

Truth be told, you were afraid and uneasy. This side of Raiden was unpredictable; dealing with such a devil was dangerous. Your rational side told you to be careful, to mind what you say and control how you act. On the other hand, you loved Raiden, and wanted to care for him--all of him, including his lunatic side. These conflicting thoughts swirled around your head, honestly making you doubt your own sanity. Should you regard Jack The Ripper as a suspicious individual? Or should you treat him the way you treat Raiden, considering they are technically the same person? You sighed, forgetting for a moment that Raiden had been watching you this whole time, and that he could sense your feelings.

"Look, I'm not gonna hurt you." He ventured, setting his cup down and reaching across the table for your hand.

"I know," You responded, taking his clawed appendage in yours before bringing it up to your lips and planting a kiss on it. "I just...sometimes I wonder if...well...I can trust you."

Raiden let out a small, uncharacteristic sigh, his red eye lowering to the ground somewhat guiltily.

"When I wanna rip, I'll rip--I'll rip em all. But not you." His gaze flitted back up to yours, a small smile on his face. "I won't rip you. I...I'm gonna keep ya safe."

"Why?"

"Cause...I love ya."

For a moment, the cold gleam in his eyes vanished, revealing the admiration, respect, and love he had for you. All suspicions you previously held vanished; you stood up, crossed over to him, and threw your arms around his neck, clinging to him tightly.

"I love you, Jack--all of you." You weren't entirely sure whether or not you were actually talking to Jack at the moment, but it didn't matter. Raiden chuckled, though not in that menacing manner he often did while in this state. He was truly happy, holding you in his arms; happy that you loved him despite his many problems. The redness in his eyes disappeared and the Raiden you were more familiar with returned. You pulled away from the hug and pressed a kiss to his metal jaw.

"I love you so much," You repeated, resting your head on his shoulder. Raiden nodded, running a hand through your hair.

"I love you too, Y/N--and thank you. Thank you for loving a psycho like me."

realizing that he is a character in the game, he falls into an existential crisis. He just can't believe it.

All his life he was someone's pawn in the hands, if not of Solidus Snake, then in the hands of players who know him too well. He doesn't like it.

He is trying to figure out what can be done to get rid of those who follow him and control him. Therefore, he is looking for answers to his questions.

When he finds out that one of the players managed to get into his world, his universe, he will not leave it alone.

Although not in a legal way, he will know where you are.

And will follow you wherever you run. He is a skilled warrior, and is good at intimidating.

however, when he finds you, he realizes that the more he sees you, the faster he becomes attached. He can't bring himself to kill you.

He tries to find out how you controlled him, but you are silent. He does not like it, he tries to ask gently, but only scares you more.

When you're in danger because you're connected to Raiden in one way or another, and they plan to take you away because you were able to control Jack, he doesn't let you go. He squeezes you tightly in a painful hug, telling you that you are too precious to let you leave so easily.

So, Raiden's been through a lot. Like a lot, a lot, even before he became a cyborg. Or physical. Be it setting his own timer for breaks or physically picking you up and pinning you down to rest, he will do it.

Overall; I think you'd be a pretty good fit! A fair balance and keeping yourselves on your toes!

It’s in the dark of night when the operation began. Rescuing children from the Sears Program and Desperado Enforcement LLC. Before going to the research center, the cyborg got all the info he needs to succeed with the mission without any causality.

So, he broke in the building without detection. Got into the room where around 10 kids are sitting.  Killed any threats and then lead the children to the exit. Once getting to the exit, the man makes sure to get the younger ones out of the complex. Once it’s his turn, he’s quickly looks back when he hears someone’s voice.

“Somebody is sneaky.” As he looks at who’s talking, he sees a black haired man in a ponytail. Like him, he uses a sword, though it isn’t out. He doesn’t get a reply and merely a scowl. “Cat caught your tongue? Or are you just the silent type.”

“Jetstream Sam.”

The other man shows a smirk. “Seems like my reputation reached you. If only I could say the same to you.”

“My name is irrelevant.” The cyborg says coldly. “I’m here on a mission. If you want to stop me, you’re going to force my hand to kill you.”

Sam tsks. “Tough audience. And you look strong. Oh, how scared I am.” He smirks, but the cyborg doesn’t look amused, merely holding his sword, ready to take it out of his sheath. “Tell you this. I’m willing to give this a blind eye to this whole situation. Though there is something you must do.”

“And that is?”

“Your name.”

“You know I can just lie, right?”

Sam laughs. “I know. But you won’t.”

“And why’s that?”

“Got a good feeling. Call it a hunch.” Sam says with such smooth, the other man can’t help but respect it just a bit.

“Fine. Y/N.”

“Y/N.” Sam pleasantly says his name. “I can tell you’re something special. And I feel we’re going to meet again.”

“Probably.” Y/N shrugs. “Hopefully without clashing swords.”

“I hope so too. I would prefer not messing up some cute guy’s face.”

Sam chuckles. “It was a complement. Take it as such. Anyway, I probably took enough of your time. I suggest get out of here before they realize they can’t screw up children’s life anymore.”

“Back again? Huh? You’re like a magnet.”

“Sam.” Y/N merely greets him, ready to take out his blade. “I heard about your little fight with my co-worker.”

“Raiden. That was his name, no?” Sam smirks. “How’s the man holding up?”

The cyborg hmphs. “Well, after you slashed his eye out and cut his arm, all things considered good.”

“Good to hear. He got potential, and once he gets there, I wouldn’t mind a rematch.” The man confidently looks at the wary man. The two body languages not matching at all. “You look like I’m going to kill you.”

“You already tried to kill my coworker. I doubt I’m an exception.” Y/N replies bluntly. “Besides, I just assassinated one of your men.”

“And you think I care.”

Y/N raises his eyebrow. “You don’t?” There is a silence, with an unsettling smile staring at him. “Excuse me, but what kind of lousy employee are you?”

Sam laughs. “The best kind. Let’s just say I got my reasons.” He steps besides, gesturing his enemy to leave. “Was nice talking to you again, Y/N. And liked you hoped, we didn’t clashed blades.”

“And instead of that, you’re going to leave me with an unsettling feeling.” Y/N makes sure to keep his eye on him. “You’re on odd man. You’re willing to let me go, but has no issue slashing Raiden?”

Sam shrugs his shoulders casually. “Maybe it could be it was an inconvenient time? Or it could be he tried to safe someone instead of killing? Ooor…” He slowly walks over to Y/N. “Could it be I try to safe that pretty face of yours?”

“And now you flirt with your enemy.”

“I don’t see why we can’t have a little fun.” Sam points out, now standing near the other man. Though before he could make another remark, the alarm begins to ring. It appears that they discovered the body Y/N made. Sam looks back at Y/N. “It appears our time got cut. How disappointed. I really enjoyed it.”

“I bet you did.” Y/N says. Afterwards, he heads to the exit. As he gets to it, he looks back at Sam, continuing to smile at him. “What’s it?”

The sun is settling down as Y/N gets across the land. He got requested for back-up, intending to help Raiden and Bladewolf with taking down Armstrong. So, he’s driving his car across the wasteland. However, he spots something odd on the field by the road. He stops his car to focus closer. That’s when he sees a silhouette of a body, whether it’s dead or not, he’s not sure. Doing the right thing, Y/N stops the car, get out of it and quickly run to the person, only to discover who it is.

“Sam?” Y/N blurts his name out. He crouches down to check out his wound. His torso has been slashed up, with blood everywhere. However, his vital signs still work. He’s still alive. The first thing he does is intending to stop the bleeding. Thus, he gets Sam to sit up to remove his upper body clothing. Although difficult, he successfully removed it.

That’s when Y/N quickly get back to the car to snatch a med-kit. Once he gets back, he begins putting a band-aid around his torso. During which, someone suddenly talks. “What a surprise…”

Y/N is quick to look up to see Sam with his eyes just a bit open. “That I’m here? Or you’re alive?”

“Both.” Sam chuckles.

Y/N continues applying the band-aid. “What happened?”

“Well, Raiden and I had our rematch…” He tiredly says, but he tries to sound as charming as usual. “You could see who’s the victor.”

“Karma is a bitch.”

“You could say that again.”

Sam stays half alive as Y/N helps him. With his cyborg implants, it doesn’t take long to get Sam’s body covered. Once he did, he put his arm around his neck and the two walk towards the car, though Sam legs gives up.

That’s when Y/N grabs his leg to lift him up like a bride. Sam can’t help but laugh. “You couldn’t wait until the wedding.”

“I could always wait until the funeral.”

“Never mind.” 

Y/N carefully puts Sam next to the driver’s seat. Then, he gets to the other side and begin starting to car. He put his finger against his earpiece. “Doktor, I found someone at critical stage. I’m bringing him to you.”

“Weren’t you supposed to be joining Raiden?”

“Plans changed.” With that, he signs off.

Sam looks besides him, while his entire body is sluggishly sitting. “You were to assist Raiden, huh? Help him.”

“He can take care by himself.” Y/N starts the car. Afterwards, he begins to turn around.

“Help. Him.”

Y/N looks at Sam. This is the first time he sees a serious face of him. “I need to get you to a doctor, or-”

“I already accepted death. I just want to see Armstrong dead. Raiden is strong, but I want his death to be guaranteed.” Sam explains. “Turn the car around.” Y/N thinks about it. After making his decision, he merely steps on the gas, making Sam closes his eyes. “You’re making a grave mistake.”

“I won’t.” Y/N says without any doubt of his voice. “Raiden is strong. You didn’t even knew I was coming. I know you putted all your faith in him, even if it was just him and Bladewolf.”

“It’s just to be secure.” Sam continues to protest. “You would risk Armstrong wining just to safe my ass?”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“You owe me coffee.”

With a serious face looking at him, Sam can’t help but crack up a smile. “Oh, how the tables got turned. You know I was just messing with you.”

-Pampering Raiden usually consists of one of two things, sometimes both. Either A, you'll be polishing his metal body to keep it from rusting, or B, you'll be helping him reattach a broken or dislocated limb; regardless of what you're doing, he's glad you're there helping him.

-If you're assisting him with polishing his "skin", he'll be more than happy to let you scrub his back.

-If you're helping replace his body parts, he will hold your tools with whatever appendages he has left and patiently instruct you on what to do, where to do it, and why.

-He is normally very cagey and closed off towards anyone (except Doktor) who tries to touch his body, but with you, he's more relaxed; joking, even.

-When he's around you, Raiden lightens up a lot more than usual, even reverting back to his old, kinda goofy self that he claimed to have left behind "in the past".

-He likes having you repaint areas of his body whose paint coats have begun to chip away or fade.

-Bonus points if you do his nails tactical claws; it makes him feel beautiful and special.

-He'd do face masks with you if he had much of a face, but alas, he only has two cheeks, one upper lip, an eyeball and his nose, so looks like the only thing he can put on without damaging his metal parts is a nose strip.

With Raiden not much… Although we talk about someone “a little” unstable, I don't see him as someone who is capable of immediately jumping to murder. We are talking about a probability of 20% or more.

If it's not a threat, it doesn't have to die.

Now, if we talk about Jack, things gonna change.

Jack is… someone almost completely different from Raiden, and if he sees that he spends more time with you or you like that person more than him, then he directly kills him. We are talking, in a few words, about a probability of 60% or more.

First impressions

Let's say you knew him before the cyborg parts were implemented, you knew so much about his history from other people, and while he acted reserved towards you, it wasn't hard to tell that you were willing to be nice to him, even if he didn't like ask you for help.

You were like that with people; friendly and likes to help, very loved in your circle of friends and family.

Fall in love

After helping him several times, (This may include helping him with the Sunny issue, overcoming certain past traumas, or helping him in his relationship with Rosemary and his son), he knew he could trust you, almost unconditionally, and in his mind, the idea slowly began to arise that you could be hurt, no matter if it was by machines, by one of the many battles in which he fought, and so it continues with more and more reasons.

Beginning of "Yanderism"

You discovered his past (something he had hidden even from his own wife), and although you tried to hide what you knew, sooner or later he found out, but still, you showed your support for him, even after everything you knew and what you had seen it happen, you tried to stay in contact with him just so you could show that you were always there for him.

During the revengeance events, Jack is the one who forces him to think that he must keep you safe. Someone he cared so much about could be hurt by soldiers or a member of the World Marshal, and it was the last thing he wanted.
