Camp NaNoWriMo Complete!

I ended up modifying my goal to 60,000 words or eight acts written. It took 53,511 words to reach eight new acts or 140 pages in Word.

Shorter acts means more frequent updates!!!!

How does a new act sound every Saturday from May 10th to June 28th?

I'll start.

My project is called Never Abandon Your Dying Cat. It's going well so far. I love the dynamics of this novel/la, which is what I'm focusing on in it. I previously wrote a short story version of the same story, but this novel/la will be fleshing out the relationships and story of what happens in the MC's search/adventure.

this camp nanowrimo i will be trying a new approach to writing, sometimes called "not writing"

i definitely want to do camp nano this year and commit to solid, routine updates. when i'm drafting i tend to go into my hobbit hole and not come out, not share anything with anyone until the entire draft is done, but i'd like to get back to the days (2020/2021 writeblr how i miss you) of sharing my progress and connecting with the other writers participating in camp nano. so if you're participating in either this year, give me a shout!

What am I Doing Next Week?

I have no idea. Well, I am finishing up Players: Revisited next week. There's going to be another chapter of The Fall. I could see if I can work on Shinra's birthday chapter for Liminal Visions if I finish Players early. Other than that, I will have to see.

March will be over in a couple of weeks and I know what I am going to do for April. I don't think I will be doing Camp this year. I will have to see what everyone says about it. There's been so much mess and drama surrounding Nano that came out last year or the year before. Nasty stuff with allegations of grooming and the whole AI debacle. I will ask around and see what the general opinion is. Whether I do Camp or not, I will be working on a thirty-day flash fiction prompt.

Alex Does Camp Not-NaNo — Day 2

I've been sick since TDOV (transphobic of God, honestly) so I didn't have the energy yesterday to make an update post. So. This is technically for yesterday and today.

The long and short, I'm doing Camp NaNo, except not really because the NaNoWriMo organization showed their whole ass so I don't want to associate with them. So. Not-NaNo, I guess. I have a lofty goal of 80,000 words for this month, which is split between rewrite #2 of ASMLP (~70K words?) and getting a working draft started of my dark fantasy novella, A Bitter-Tasting Blade (final goal of 20k? I think?)... so between the two of them, I should have something to show for it.

Yesterday and today was devoted to typing up a thorough outline of ABTB. Furthermore, I rewrote the prologue today of ASMLP. Moving right along.

Since it was mostly outline work and I am too tired to grab something from the prologue rn.... uhhh... have this poem I wrote about my cat that isn't going towards the word count but was still wrote tonight. Camp NaNoWriMo April 2025

Time for another month of writing!

This month I will be writing the remaining two acts for arc 5 and then immediately jumping into another arc, number 6! Get ready! Concepts have also been created for arc 7, 8, and 9! I will be writing this story for a long time.

My goal for this month is.... 60,000 words! No pressure right?

I have acts 87 to 94 mapped out. In the middle of Act 95.

It looks like the NaNo platform is ending but in the meantime I'll still use it to log my word count.

My desk for the next month when I'm not working.

That composition book has all the future acts mapped out. It's easier that way.
