MHALC provides the community with education , advocacy and support at no cost . MHALC advocates for adults and seniors facing loneliness, educates at schools about mental health topics and provides support resources to the community with support groups and more.

A grotesque figure made of monstrosities tears off their sheath of darkness to reveal their majestic golden interior. It's my take on negative outlook, on fighting against our individual darkness. Not everyone can do it on their own, and you can see the grey clings and claws, but it's a worthy fight. Always ask for help if you need it. Always offer if you think it's needed.

"The Self"

With this piece I wanted to explore the idea of learning about myself. I have always used #art as a way to communicate, to express my feelings/intentions, psychological aspects, and shine a light on something and talk about it, hence the reason why I play with the black background, different colors, and lighting. I actually did this #drawing for my #observational class, in which we show something that has "#beauty" and my way of showing beauty is art "therapy" and exploring who I am. I wanted to share a part of myself with y'all where I explore my #masculinity and #feminity , this idea of #formality , and a sense of leisure or coping in a way.

P.s. I did this with #charcoal , #ink , #ink , and #coloredpencils . It was so ,ich fun doing this and it was worthing pulling an all nighter for. So enjoy!
