Daily update post:
There was a Palestinian terrorist who carried out a shooting attack today, at least 2 people have been murdered and 4 have been injured (at least one, a 16 years old boy, critically). Current reports say they were all civilians standing at a bus station. Witnesses said that the terrorist, who has now been identified as an Arab from East Jeruslem and an Israeli citizen, was sporting an ISIS-styled beard and white cap. An Israeli man (I heard conflicting reports on whether he's a civilian or a reserves soldier) figured out quickly what was happening, got out of his own car, and with his personal pistol managed to neutralize the terrorist (for those who have never dealt with weapons, going up against an assault rifle with a personal pistol is incredibly dangerous, and would usually not be successful given the much greater distance that a rifle can cover. It's pretty astonishing that this man managed to stop the terrorist, save many others, and not get hurt himself).
Tumblr media
Yesterday, I wrote about the Nasser hospital in Khan Younis, and why the IDF had to enter it (the hostages and kidnapped bodies Hamas held there). I also heard in an intereview that at least 60 terrorists were arrested there, and today we get the news that out of them, at least 20 arrested terrorists are Hamas members who had personally participated in the Oct 7 massacre.
Tumblr media
Yesterday, I heard more than one Israeli journalists wondering why is the UN not picking up humanitarian aid that was allowed into Gaza by Israel. One option is pure incompetence, but another option they brought up is that the UN might be intentionally trying to worsen the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, to prove how much their presence is needed, and to use the crisis as a weapon against Israel, to force it to stop its war against Hamas. According to field reports, the aid which has not been picked up is the content of at least 500 aid trucks (Israel has been allowing 200 aid trucks from Israeli territory into Gaza daily, on top of the aid entering from Egypt, and it's the aid from Israel that hasn't been picked up), so yesterday, that was the third day in a row that the UN has failed to pick up specifically the aid being brought in from Israel's territory. Here's a pic of the undelivered aid, on TV I also saw video footage, and it's incredibly frustrating not to be able to find it anywhere online...
Tumblr media
We got confirmation yesterday, that a man who was eliminated in Gaza City the day before by the IDF, was a Hamas commander, specifically the head of a squad that kidnapped men and women from the Nova music festival, and the man in charge of guarding 19 years old Noa Marziano, who was murdered by Hamas in captivity, on the grounds of the Shifa hospital.
Tumblr media
Here's footage of a dog serving in Oketz (the IDF's canine unit) in Gaza. A terrorist threw explosives at an Israeli soldier, wounding him, the dog identified the hiding place of the terrorists, caught him, and got the man to shout in Arabic, "I surrender." I knew guys who served in Oketz, I know they raised and trained the dogs, loved them like family, and I even sat with one guy an entire night when he needed to unload his pain over his dog when she was killed in action. The soldiers who serve in Oketz wanted to clarify that they never send their dogs on suicide missions, that they see the dogs as soldiers in every respect, so they have risked their lives to get their dogs out of the line of fire, I remember seeing a wounded dog being carried by the guys from the unit on a stretcher, and the dogs also get a salary and pension for when they retire from their service, often they're adopted by the soldiers who served with them. In this vid, you can see how using the dog saves human lives, both those of soldiers, and that of the terrorist, who gets the chance to surrender:
On the right is 24 years old Rotem Levi.
Tumblr media
Rotem was the deputy commander of the unit in charge of blowing up Hamas' terror tunnels. He was killed in battle. An hour before that, he had the chance of calling his wife Shoham (on the left side of the pic) to tell her that he loves her, and that soon, they should get a break in the fighting, and he'd be able to visit their home.
This is 59 years old Yair Ya'akov.
Tumblr media
His teenage sons were kidnapped by Hamas, and released in the hostage deal. They kept waiting and fighting for their father to be released as well. Yesterday, we got the news that Yair was murdered on Oct 7, and his body was kidnapped and is held hostage in Gaza. Just think about the cruel emotional abuse, of letting these kids believe their father is still alive, and that they have a chance to be reunited with him alive, when they should have been allowed to at least get to mourn his death.
May their memories be a blessing.

The Umbaran Pathogen - Day 2: Insomnia
Summary: A peculiar problem is keeping Dogma from sleeping, which would usually be something more carefully examined by Kix if not for the fact they needed to ration what medical supplies they had on them after the last brutal assault...
Warning: N/A
Twitch belongs to @gaeasun Pitch belongs to @lost-on-kamino
Prev / Next
[In which the events on Umbara are worsened by an unknown pathogen taking hold of both the 501st and 212th. These series of drabbles will follow a non-linear timeline based on the AI-less Whumptober prompt list for 2023.]
THIS STORY IS ALSO ON AO3
---
Umbara was everything that Kix had dreaded in anticipatory fashion, from the moment that both the 212th and 501st had gotten their respective mission briefings. It was cold, dark, the air and water tasted more than a little strange from all the pollen that came off the bioluminiscent vegetation, and the local fauna was savagely aggressive. Ridiculously so.
From the smallest of bugs to the tallest strangling vines that dangled and glowed in ominous hues, one could never be too careful to not fall victim to the wilderness itself. And many did end up a casualty due to mother nature's unpredictable whims. Especially on the first few days of them being planet-side.
Whole men taken out by seeking tendrils and unseen beasts. Their bodies claimed by the flying creatures that glowed in the darkness, or the many hidden horrors with gnashing teeth and false foliage that served as camouflage. Inexperienced troopers that had only just been deployed. That didn't get to name themselves, paint their armor, or ever truly taste the freedom that came with no longer being within Kamino's oppressive walls.
War was hell. War on planets that provided them with such crippling disadvantages, was something much worse... And it was up to him and his fellow veteran medics to keep the newbies alive. A herculean task that was made so much more difficult after having already lost so many of them during initial contact with the enemy.
It was certainly nothing if not a terrible blow to their morale. A sign of terrible things to come. And, even though they now were well aware of the dangers outside of actual combat, the cost of this knowledge was nothing if not a terribly unfair one.
Such was the life of a clone...
"I'm beginning to really hate things that are bioluminescent outside of the depths of the ocean..." Kix turned around to look at Sponge who was bitterly helping him take inventory.
Throughout the last few hours of trekking towards the nearest Umbaran outpost that they'd then taken over successfully, the cantankerous medic had used up several bacta patches and rolls of bandaging to quickly sort out any injuries the troops had sustained.
At the rate they were going through their supplies, they might soon be one medpack short and (until the rest of the squadrons arrived at their temporary base), they would not be able to restock anytime soon. This could prove to be a problem in the near future, as they'd been met with resistance every step of the way.
The locals (for all that the recon squads had claimed them to be unusually skittish) were quite hostile and eager to strike when they least expected it. Which was aggravating to all of them, even their general who often took any sort of difficulty as a fun challenge.
"You're not the only one." Kix's attention then turned to Coric who was in as bad a mood as his protege. The CMO himself already sporting a bacta patch on a nasty scratch he'd gotten from a particularly bold banshee that had swooped down from the canopies. "If I lived in a planet like this, I'd honestly just move to someplace more lit up and industrial..."
"Uh... Well, if everything wasn't trying to kill us, I guess the glowing would be kind of pretty..." Twitch, the youngest acquisition to the medical team, shrugged as he also took stock of what he had at hand. Thus far he'd been able to keep his own supplies at an even number, but that might change soon. Kix doubted this campaign would be anything but filled to the brim with injuries.
"Nothing that glows in the dark is meant to be pretty." Sponge pointed out with an exasperated grunt. "It's meant to lure you to the light so that it can snag you unawares."
"It's good to see you still recall bits and pieces of scuba training... You might be an asset in our next underwater excursion." It came out as more ironic than he intended it to, but Kix hoped his retort would make this particular topic fizzle out. Starting a bitching session in the middle of inventory work was NOT a good idea. Especially when they were expecting to be more than a little overworked by the end of this campaign.
They were all already pretty tense, and shoving each other to a boiling point would potentially jeopardize cooperation in the field. They needed to remain professional.
"Oh, you had scuba training?" Twitch seemed interested at least, which hopefully would appease Sponge for the moment.
"Briefly. Before I was pulled into medical training." Closing their medpack, Sponge shrugged nonchalantly. "I still know how to kit up proper without risking a breach, and how to do all decompression stop protocols. It's the underwater combat aspect that I'm missing."
"That's still pretty cool! Did you get to do the diving exercises?" Not only was he interested, Twitch seemed invested in asking about it. Which seemed to take Sponge aback ever so slightly.
"Uh...Yeah...?" They regarded Twitch with a somewhat intrigued look as they fidgeted with their fingers, picking at their knuckles as they tried to think of something else to say. "I got to see into some of the lower levels during those..."
"What was it like?" The younger medic pressed on, smiling brightly at the flustered medic.
"Oh uh... It was cool. It was really cool actually... Got to see a lot of bizarre animals... There were these barnacles that had evolved to mimic the pattern of structural rivets to avoid predation..." Sponge glanced down at their hands then back up at Twitch, in an uncharacteristically shy manner. When the latter didn't interrupt them, they seemed to grow bolder. "And there were these cute crabs that had evolved softer shells with chromatophores very similar to that of cephalopods. I tried to bring one back into the facility to keep as a pet..."
Crisis averted, Kix quickly finished the medical inventory list while his fellow medics entertained themselves with idle chatter about ocean life. Once done, he quickly sent it to Coric's own datapad and began to work on the listing of injured troopers. Rex would need to know what soldiers he could spare on the next siege and (once Fives returned from another recon excursion), they'd likely need to move quickly if they didn't want to be ambushed.
He was just about to sign off the document before movement in his peripheral caught his attention.
"Oh... Hello Dogma." Taking note of the paint on the approaching trooper's armor, Kix quickly identified him as the new sergeant that had been unfortunate enough for Umbara to be his first proper campaign. "Can I help you with anything?"
Now, Kix had no real opinion on this particular rookie aside from the fact he was rather dutiful and polite towards his superiors and the medical staff alike. He'd barely had time to get acquainted with Dogma because he was much less outgoing than his twin (who had seen Kix many more times already than Dogma had, due to his outgoing nature seeming to lead him into unfortunate mischief). Sponge, however, was already quite familiar with both of them from their last few months on Kamino, and they had nothing particularly negative to say about the duo. Which was a good sign.
Knowing this, Kix was confident that perhaps going straight to the point would suit both their needs right now, rather than trying to spend the next few minutes trying to chat around the awkwardness.
"Sir." the kid greeted him with a proudly puffed chest and a nod. The typical show of bravado that came when facing your very first field injury, no matter how minor it may be. Kix had seen it plenty of times. Especially in Shinies who were still getting used to living outside of Kamino. "I'd like to report a... Rather strange issue I have been putting off addressing..."
Ah, a truthful but shy statement. Something of a more embarrassing nature then. Like a rash or wart in a more private part of the body. Kix was very familiar with forms of deflection, and this very particular tone of voice.
"How strange are we talking?" The medic tried to keep his own tone welcoming and calm so as to not spook the rookie away. The last thing the troopers needed was one of their caretakers making light of situations they considered sensitive.
"Some kind of... Allergic reaction..." Dogma didn't relax nor did he fidget uncomfortably. He stood at parade rest with nothing short of picture perfect posture. Even if his words betrayed him slightly. "I think..."
The idle chatter faded away in the background as the medics noted the new arrival, Sponge regarding Dogma with mild curiosity. There was no use the whole lot of them fussing over one potential patient, so they left Kix to it. But he knew they would be watching in between their anecdotal conversation. It was in Sponge's and most medics's natures to be exceptionally curious after all.
It helped to keep them humble and eager to learn.
"Where 'bouts kih'vod?" with yet another encouraging smile, Kix picked up his scanner and preparing himself for a quick examination. Skin lesions weren't the worst things a medic could have on their roster, so he didn't expect an allergic reaction to something like the pollen or even some of the vegetation to be much of a problem.
That said, Kix noted the way Dogma seemed to hesitate as he reached towards the collar of his body-glove. The other clone seeming almost lost in thought as he did so, a hard-set frown on his face as he blinked blearily and stared at his own boots rather than directly at the waiting medic.
Finally, after a long minute of silence and stillness, the rookie brought the collar down and turned just slightly so Kix could see the back of his neck. It looked awful. And definitely infected.
"Sithspit..." He couldn't help curse at the sight of the severely inflamed rash that seemed to be oozing a thick looking pus-like substance. "That looks like more than a little allergic reaction..."
The collective winces behind him seemed to indicate the others thought the same, their full attention now turned to the two of them. Or rather, to the strange medical problem Dogma seemed to be trying to downplay despite having come over to request someone have a look at it. And rightfully so.
"When did this happen...?" Scanning the affected area, Kix was somewhat stumped at the state of the other's neck. There was no way this hadn't been incredibly uncomfortable from the moment it started to get infected. No way he hadn't noticed until it got this bad.
"...I can't..." The rookie with the chevron-shaped tattoo frowned as he seemed to mull over the question. "I don't remember..."
"You don't remember?" Sponge spoke up as they approached, a look of concern on their face as they began examining the wound themselves. "That's not like you at all M'ika..."
"I don't remember..." Seeming perturbed by this realization, Dogma looked away from both medics. He seemed even more uncomfortable as soon as the others began to approach to have their own look at the infected rash. His posture going from perfect to slightly hunched in on himself. "I... I uh... I haven't been able to sleep because of it..."
"That would certainly explain the memory issues then..." Coric sighed as he crossed his arms, motioning for Pitch and Twitch to not prod at the oozing wound. "Sleep deprivation can mess with your thought processes and memory..."
"Does it hurt? Is that why you can't sleep?" Twitch asked, trying to be helpful. His tone was careful, almost too soft. Likely to try to put Dogma at ease once he noted the way he was hesitating around the group of medics. A lot of vode felt a little anxious when they had to go to the medbay, mostly out of guilt or some repressed trauma from back on Kamino. Kix dreaded to think it might be the latter for Dogma, considering he could tell the rookie was a little reliant on set orders and regulations to find stability among the ranks of the 501st.
That at least he'd figured out quickly enough once Tup and Dogma had joined the battalion...
"I... Yeah? Kinda..." Dogma still refused to meet anyone's eyes. "It mostly itches... Can't sleep because it itches..."
"And how long have you gone without sleep?" Pitch asked.
"...Two or three days? I think? I remember it itching bad then, but not how I got it..." Dogma's frown lessened as he seemed to try to recall how his neck ended up in such a terrible state. "Must have... Must have brushed against something? Or nicked myself during one of the marches..."
Something about this didn't feel right. Kix wasn't sure what exactly, as it was just this odd little gut feeling he got on occasion. But for whatever reason neither suggested explanations satisfied him in the least. Especially considering he hadn't gotten any other troopers complaining of strange rashes or difficulty sleeping (aside from the usual nightmares).
Worse yet, as he stared at his scanner he couldn't help frown at the results. There were no traces of anything that would indicate this was some kind of allergy Dogma had to anything in the area, that had ended up getting infected from scratching... Moreover, the very center of the rash, right on top of where he knew there was a gap between vertebrae, looked more like some kind of puncture than a raised bump. Like something had stabbed into it and somehow missed damaging Dogma's spinal column.
It felt just a little too localized for it to sit right with him...
Even so, seeing as the only affects it had on Dogma were mildly inconveniencing dermal abrasions and interrupted sleep, Kix couldn't really find any reason to keep him under much scrutiny. The medics had to prioritize more aggravating wounds for now, like broken bones, blaster wounds or burns. The best they could do for now, was to give him some cream and a sedative to help him get over the insomnia.
"Well, whatever this is should go away with a topical cream..." He reassured the rookie, motioning for Twitch to get him some to give to Dogma. "We can also administer a sedative so you can at least rest up before we have to move out again. The 212th should be breaking off from our group with General Kenobi in the next 5 hours, so there's still time to catch some shuteye before we need to clear out this camp."
Dogma accepted the cream from Twitch, staring at it with a put-off expression before sighing and nodding. He seemed to be too tired to say no to the offer.
"I'll take the sedative... I won't be of much use to the General or the Captain if I'm dead on my feet..." He sounded almost defeated as he accepted there wasn't much more the medics could do to alleviate his situation. That made Kix feel a little bad. But there was really nothing else they could do. It was, after all, a superficial wound compared to everything else they'd dealt with beforehand.
Hopefully being able to rest would do Dogma some good. Stars only knew this campaign would only get more exhausting once the two battalions went on their separate ways...

Medal of Honor
AWARDED FOR ACTIONS DURING Korean War
Service: Army
Division: 2d Infantry Division
GENERAL ORDERS:
Department of the Army, General Orders No. 70 (August 2, 1951)
CITATION:
The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pride in presenting the Medal of Honor (Posthumously) to Private First Class Luther H. Story (ASN: 14285693), United States Army, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity above and beyond the call of duty while serving with Company A, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2d Infantry Division, in action against enemy aggressor forces at Agok, Korea, on 1 September 1950. A savage daylight attack by elements of three enemy divisions penetrated the thinly held lines of the 9th Infantry. Company A beat off several banzai attacks but was bypassed and in danger of being cut off and surrounded. Private First Class Story, a weapons squad leader, was heavily engaged in stopping the early attacks and had just moved his squad to a position overlooking the Naktong River when he observed a large group of the enemy crossing the river to attack Company A. Seizing a machinegun from his wounded gunner he placed deadly fire on the hostile column killing or wounding an estimated 100 enemy soldiers. Facing certain encirclement the company commander ordered a withdrawal. During the move Private First Class Story noticed the approach of an enemy truck loaded with troops and towing an ammunition trailer. Alerting his comrades to take cover he fearlessly stood in the middle of the road, throwing grenades into the truck. Out of grenades he crawled to his squad, gathered up additional grenades and again attacked the vehicle. During the withdrawal the company was attacked by such superior numbers that it was forced to deploy in a rice field. Private First Class Story was wounded in this action, but, disregarding his wounds, rallied the men about him and repelled the attack. Realizing that his wounds would hamper his comrades he refused to retire to the next position but remained to cover the company's withdrawal. When last seen he was firing every weapon available and fighting off another hostile assault. Private Story's extraordinary heroism, aggressive leadership, and supreme devotion to duty reflect the highest credit upon himself and were in keeping with the esteemed traditions of the military service.
Welcome home.

ayy which, in your opinion, is the best captain boomerang adaptation in (comics, shows, movies, etc.)? I want some recommendations :))
Boy oh boy did you come to the right place because apparently I'm the expert in this ordeal! Finally a question I can answer.
In terms of comics, I have this handy dandy reading list right here. It's not very organized but it does the job. It's also not really in order.
In terms of shows... He's only in the Arrow TV show (which did Digger SUPER DIRTY BTW. DO NOT RECOMMEND), around 30 seconds 4 Star Spectacular! (from the Batman: The Brave and the Bold cartoon) (Voice acting was Not Good. This has nothing to do with the actor here, it more just... Don't get an American to voice an Australian), 1 minute of the Harley Quinn show's Valentine's Day special (He doesn't really do anything here let's be honest), the episode Leverage in the Young Justice cartoon (also don't really recommend because of one line he has directed at an nb teenager), and the episodes Task Force X and Flash and Substance (the only ones I can really recommend).
The live action movies were Not Good™ (just my opinion. Like... he's got 0 personality other than Sleazeball and Asshole) with Boomer either so don't touch those. He was in a little bit of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox. The acting was atrocious. Do not recommend. Suicide Squad: Blaze was really bad. Justice League Dark: Apocalypse War was not it. There's also Batman: Assault on Arkham. Despite the name it's actually a Suicide Squad movie. It's also no longer canon to the Arkhamverse but it is canon to the prequel comics to the Arkhamverse, except for Suicide Squad: Kill Arkham Asylum, which is canon. He's only in about 2 of the Arkham Knight comics and they don't really do anything with him. As for the movie itself I have mixed feelings on because the VA for Boomer in Assault on Arkham is a Men's Rights Activist who supports JK Rowling. He's also British so the Aussie accent dives more into British Cockney territory at times. Personality wise he's... Fine. Could be better. Could be worse.
Also he's going to be in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. It's a game that comes out February 2nd. And February 6th is when the prequel comic Suicide Squad: Kill Arkham Asylum will release. I know you're at least aware of the game though.

Mass Effect Tag Game
I stole this from @onedismay and anyone can now proceed to steal it from me
I am a fan since: The release of Legendary Edition, which came out on my birthday. And--1500+ hours of playtime later--It's the gift that keeps on giving lol
Favourite game of the series?: Mass Effect 2 is definitely my favourite because there just feels like there's so much more at stake and all the new characters introduced are great
MShep or FShep?: Most of my Sheps are women but I do have a few men even though I technically haven't played all of them yet
Earthborn, Colonist or Spacer?: I know a lot of people probably consider this the boring option, but I do prefer Earthborn because, for whatever reason, I have a thing about my OCs never knowing their parents
Biotics or Tech: 100% tech, I don't fuck with biotics
Paragon or Renegade: My main Shep is renegade with a touch of paragon
Favourite Class: Infiltrator is my go-to class, but I'll admit that I don't have a lot of experience with any of the other classes
Favourite Companion: Uhm all the techies are essentially my faves lol so Garrus, Tali, EDI, Legion, Kasumi, and Mordin. I also adore Joker, who I feel like gets accidentally excluded a lot because he's not someone who can tag along on missions. Then I have a bit of a soft spot for Vega. Oh, and Aria is pretty much the only asari character I enjoy lol
Least favourite Companion: I might get hate for this, but Liara. I hate how forced she is on you in the first game, and the fact that that does change for the rest of the series makes me so uncomfortable. I literally don't even both talking to her. Ever. I forget she's there half the time. If it weren't for the couple missions in ME3 where you're forced to take her, she would never leave the ship
My squad selection: Garrus is almost always there. I've forced myself to broaden my selection in recent playthroughs and utilise (almost) everyone, but Garrus is still definitely a top pick. Tali is up there, as well. Frankly, this answer is essentially the same as my fave companion(s) plus Wrex
Favourite In-game romance: Garrus. The only romance I honestly give a shit about
Other pairings I like: Joker and EDI, 100%. I'm also into the Jack/Miranda pairing, and I enjoy the thought of Ash and James ending up together
Favourite NPC: This is probably the proper place to mention Joker and Aria, but I'm not going back to edit my other answer including them lol
Favourite Antagonist: I'm not sure I really have one. Saren had potential and it would've been neat if he had stuck around for at least another game, but obviously that didn't happen. The Illusive Man was kinda lame and just overall a nuance soooo idk Udina? lmao
Favourite Mission: I'm not entirely sure... I don't think I necessarily have a favourite because they're all mandatory, for the most part. Even if they're not mandatory story-wise, they are to level up so it's ike...idk none of them really stick out to me and I dread something about each of them, to be honest lol
Favourite Loyalty Mission: Obligatory Garrus answer, but then I also enjoy Tali's mission, uhm... Kasumi's is fun, Mordin's is good, aaaand that's probably it
Favourite DLC: Citadel, hands down. Just the absolutely campiness and insanity of it. I mean, it was a good way to lighten the mood of what the rest of ME3 is, so the ridiculousness of it was honestly much appreciated. A close second would probably be between Omega and Leviathan
Control, Synthesis or Destroy: I prefer Synthesis. I don't give a shit what people say about it, I'm not going through all that bullshit of ending a 300-year long war between the Quarians and Geth just to fucking destroy the Geth in the end. It's pointless. Plus, I could never do that to EDI
Favourite Weapon: While I usually am the Infiltrator class, I always choose assault rifles as my specialisation (or just use them in general when I can), so in ME2 my go-to is the Mattock while in ME3 it's the Valkyrie or Chakram Launcher. As for sniper rifles, in ME2 it's the Viper and in ME3 it's the Valiant
Favourite Place: I enjoy Omega and Illium the most. I wish we could've explored them more because I feel like there was so much lost potential there.
A quote I like: "I won't let fear compromise who I am." ~Shepard. I would honestly get that tattooed on my body lol Garrus has a lot of good/funny quotes, too, especially in ME3 but that Shepard one is always the first to come to mind

ISRAEL & THE FUTURE
Everything written about Israel in the Bible will come true. I'm aware of the fact that I've quoted from the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes before, both here and elsewhere, and I realize that the writer of that biblical book at one point hints at our human inability to discover what's to come in the future. Yet his knowledge was severely limited, and you have to look at the entirety of the Bible before making a snap judgement that long-term Biblical predictions are impossible. Non-Christians will likely doubt anyway, and I'm not here to convince them of the truth today. Whether they insist on refusing to believe what's to come or not, at some point, they'll just see it play out in real time in current events. But if you claim to be a believer and you don't believe that God himself knows the future and can predict it, then your concept of God is much too small. (You know, there's a reason God introduced himself as the One who was, the One who is, and the One who is to come in the Bible. All of time and history is known to the Eternal One.)
But I'm getting off track here. One of the prophecies in the Bible summarizes the exponential growth in hatred towards Israel that will eventually culminate to the point where all nations will come to make war against it. I'm not going to quote the verse or expand on it, lest some attempt to (mistakenly) justify their present or future aggression towards Israel. But let's just stop and consider what has occurred since the October 7th massacre by Hamas: 1) Some liberal news agencies and even the UN have had severe reservations about labeling Hamas a terrorist organization, even after Hamas explicitly targeted children, women, and innocent civilians. 2) The woke elements of the progressive left have so much disdain for Israel that they can't even stand to see posters of the remaining hostages hanging in public places, and as a result, they brazenly tear them down. 3) Pro-Palestine supporters in America have been blocking traffic, defacing certain government structures, and calling for the end of our support for our ally Israel. 4) Iran and its militant proxies in the Middle East have vowed retaliation against Israel & the U.S. for the "occupation" of Gaza, and Houthi rebels have been continuously assaulting ships in the region. 5) Jewish students on campuses have been harrassed and intimidated. 6) The United Nations' UNRWA has even been accused of assisting Hamas with their acts of terrorism on that fateful October day.
To be sure, hatred goes both ways. Some Palestinian protesters have been doxxed simply for practicing their constitutionally-protected right to (peacefully) assemble & demonstrate. A landlord attacked his Palestinian tenants, killing a little boy in an unacceptable & inexcusable rage. Palestinian young men were shot in another city in a clear criminal act of racial hatred. And I'm not here to excuse every act of Israel during this war. On account of the number of people and nations who seek the downfall and destruction of Jews, Israel has to be nearly perfect & without the slightest blame as they conduct their wartime incursions. And some would make the case they haven't done so. But there are some who have denied Israel's history and the horrific Holocaust that they endured. Many vowed "never again" to such vile eradication of the Jewish people, but there are others who seem intent on forgetting it.
My point is, the hatred towards Israel will eventually increase even more than we see today. And with some members of the Squad continuing to display overt anti-Semitism here in America, I wonder if we're closer to that time than we care to admit. (Can you imagine what it would mean for Israel, as well as for the Jewish people here in the U.S. if a member of the Squad ever rose to an executive position in government?!? I'm with Republican Congressman Ronny Jackson, such hatred towards the Jews should be held in check and many members of the Squad should have their security clearances revoked.)
Regarding the end of all things, Revelation 19:19 makes this interesting prophecy: "Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered to make war against the rider on the horse and his army." (NIV) One day governments and their militaries will be so deluded that they'll actually try to fight against a visible manifestation of God. Needless to say, it'll be a very short battle and it won't go very well for those who dare fight against the Almighty! But it's apparent we're coming closer and closer to an obvious rebellion against all things pertaining to God, and there will be an exponential increase of hatred towards His people. The Bible has already predicted it centuries ago. I'm only going to be able to finish about half of the posts I had in mind today. But before I close out, let me ask you: What side will you be on? (To be clear, with the exception of the final battle of Armageddon, I'm referring to the spiritural struggles & challenges we all face. I'm not making a call to some kind of physical battle.) You can choose to join God's winning side (a no-brainer!) or you can keep resisting His grace & love for you till the point of exhaustion and desperation. Why keep fighting God's open embrace for you when all He wants to do is heal & rescue you, shower you with love, and grant you life everlasting?
---------
March 26, 2024 edit: The Biblical verse from Revelation in that last paragraph makes mention of "the beast" and experts state that methaphor refers to the person of the antichrist. Just wanted to clarify that.
The last book of the Bible is filled with symbolic imagery (as well as literal predictions) and it often alludes to reference from previous books in the Old Testament. It can be a difficult read, but it's also quite insightful!

For years, Finland bucked the trend of NATO expansion catching fire throughout the post-Soviet European mainland. Old habits, like neutrality, die hard.
But while NATO went through eight rounds of enlargement, expanding the alliance to include 30 countries and adding nations, such as Spain and Slovenia, that punched below their weight on military spending, Finland—with the energy to match the most caffeinated population in the world—was getting stronger.
With memories of the Soviet invasion during World War II still vivid in the public imagination, when the Finns lost a tenth of their territory but avoided occupation, Finland bucked the post-Cold War trend in Europe of divesting military assets during the 1990s, earning side-eye from the Clinton administration and some NATO nations.
Yet Finland formally joined NATO this week already spending 2 percent of its GDP on defense, the alliance’s military target, and is used to fielding weapons familiar to the rest of NATO. Finland will field F-35 fighter jets by 2025, which will replace U.S.-designed F/A-18 Hornets currently deployed, for example. Finland is also one of only a few countries that fire the so-called joint air-to-surface standoff missile, known as JASSM in defense parlance, which allows Finnish fighter jets to launch armor-piercing standoff strikes at about a million dollars a pop.
And while Finland’s standing military is just 23,000 troops—smaller than New York City’s police force—Helsinki is ready to mobilize a force of up to 280,000 in wartime, owing to a model of national conscription that calls on men over the age of 18 to serve up to a year in the armed forces. Current and former European and U.S. officials insist the call-ups aren’t just a bunch of benchwarmers from the practice squad.
“They can mobilize pretty quickly a very professional group, not a bunch of overweight reservists in their 50s,” said Jim Townsend, a former U.S. deputy assistant secretary of defense for NATO and Europe.
Russia’s western flank, which shares an 800-mile border with Finland, is all of a sudden looking a lot less threatening more than a year into Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which has left a skeletal Russian force hanging around in the Nordic-Baltic region. Finnish officials are still banking on Turkey softening its opposition to Sweden’s NATO bid for naval and logistical support, but Helsinki has already announced plans to buy the Israeli-made David’s Sling medium-range air defense system and has deployed the Norwegian-and-U.S.-made National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System, the same batteries that defend Washington, D.C., from the threat of an aerial assault.
NATO was already in the region before Finland’s entry, with Norway closer to the Russian port city of Murmansk than Finland and Narva, Estonia, nearer to St. Petersburg—with the stopping power of swamps, forests, and water in between NATO and Russian lines. The entry of a 31st country will force the alliance to update its command structure and rejigger defense plans farther north, but Finnish officials see it as an opportunity to extend deterrence into the North and the Baltic seas.
And Finland’s military is going to be put to NATO-standard tests almost immediately on entry. Though Finland has participated in low-level exercises with NATO troops before, the multinational Defender 23 exercise kicking off in Europe this month will see Finnish troops participating shoulder-to-shoulder with 9,000 U.S. forces, the first large-scale operation the Nordic country has conducted with the alliance.
Finnish pilots will conduct overflights of the North Sea in F/A-18 Hornets during the exercise that spans 10 countries, German Air Force commander Lt. Gen. Ingo Gerhartz said in a press conference at the German Embassy in Washington on Tuesday. He sketched a scenario that maps how the alliance would respond to the invocation of NATO’s Article Five self-defense clause on the European mainland.
From an airpower perspective, U.S. military officials are already looking at options to integrate Finland’s intelligence collection capabilities into NATO, as well as extending the ability of the alliance to operate in frigid conditions. And Finland has kept a “Winter War” mindset stemming from the 1939 Soviet invasion.
“It’s an agile combat employment,” said Lt. Gen. Michael Loh, the director of the U.S. Air National Guard. “They have landing strips just about anywhere, and they go right into the roads.”
And the ongoing fighting beyond NATO’s borders has compounded Russia’s difficulties in the west, which it has denuded in a so-far futile bid to batter Ukraine. Russia’s once-feared 200th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade, with tanks, artillery, and missile defenses in tow, suffered heavy losses in the assault on Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, and the 138th Motorized Rifle Brigade reportedly suffered such heavy losses in the city that some troops tried to mutiny. It could take years, if not decades, for Russia to return to military strength along the northern Kola Peninsula, the big thumb that abuts northern Finland.
“We have rather good military intelligence so that we actually know more about where their troops are than they do in Moscow,” said Harri Ohra-aho, a ministerial advisor for intelligence in Finland’s defense ministry, with a twinkle in his eye. “We have followed those troops for more than 100 years.”
The Baltic Sea was once a Russian lake, fronted on one side by Warsaw Pact nations and ringed by a neutral Finland and Sweden that wanted nothing to do with the nuclear tensions between Moscow and NATO. Now, the Kola Peninsula—home to Russia’s Northern Fleet, ballistic missile submarines, and its only aircraft carrier—is right up against NATO borders and aspirants.
“If you’re a Russian planner in the past, during the Cold War days, having those two new neutral nations, as well as having the Warsaw Pact around the Baltics, you had a pretty big balance of power in your favor up in the high north,” Townsend said. “That whole geopolitical tectonic plate has shifted.”

**** Medal of Honor Monday 🇺🇸🇺🇸 ****
On this day in 1924, an American hero and a future U.S. Marine is born. Louis J. Hauge, Jr. would give his life in the Battle of Okinawa when he was only 20 years old. His gallant actions on that day would be posthumously recognized with a Medal of Honor.
The Battle of Okinawa was the last and the biggest of the Pacific island battles during World War II. It lasted for close to three months. Americans ultimately won, but the cost was extraordinarily high.
During the course of those months, we lost 12,520 men (killed or missing). More than 36,000 were wounded. We lost 36 ships and 763 aircraft. The Japanese army suffered even worse losses. Both the American commanding general and the Japanese general died during the course of the battle.
One of the killed on the American side was Hauge. On May 14, 1945, he was the leader of a machine gun squad as it assaulted a heavily fortified Japanese hill. Toward the end of the day, one flank of his unit found itself pinned down by heavy fire.
Hauge located the two Japanese guns that were causing the problem. He decided to act.
Hauge rushed out into the open, throwing hand grenades at the Japanese guns as he went. He had to have known that he was unlikely to survive the experience? Indeed, he was already severely wounded by the time he took out the first gun—but he kept going. The wounded Corporal managed to hurl some well-aimed grenades at the second gun, destroying it before a final lethal shot was levied at him by a Japanese sniper.
His Medal of Honor citation notes that because of Hauge’s “heroic 1-man assault tactics” he “eliminated 2 strategically placed enemy weapons, thereby releasing the besieged troops from an overwhelming volume of hostile fire and enabling his company to advance.” His Medal was awarded in recognition of his “indomitable fighting spirit and decisive valor in the face of almost certain death.”
Unfortunately, it turned out to be more than “almost certain death.”
Hauge was a young man with his whole life in front of him. Yet, as so many others have done, he made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. Sadly, his sacrifice came mere months before the bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki brought the war to an end.
He was so close to surviving the war. And yet he didn’t quite make it.
Another member of the Greatest Generation—and a sacrifice made so we might be free.

Gamerbro will always be more accepting of Japanese characters because most of those games are japanese and also Japanese are honorary White people (see my previous post).
But even Japan has this habits of shoving japanese characters in non fantasy/realistic games/manga (supposed to be in a White setting)... because they can. For example Shadow of Hearts: Convenant is supposed to happen around World War II in France and yet, there's a Japan samurai in it 🥴 Same for Shingeki no Kyojin that's set in a very (titans apart) conventionally European/germanic medieval world, and yet, Mikasa, the last Japanese alive, is here lol
Gamerbro have no issue letting these overbearing stunt pass because they're 🌟japanese🌟 but they refuse to let that fly is Western (so multiracial) studio do the same¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think Final Fantasy main characters have always been dubbed by gamers (even for FFVII that's a fans' favorite, Sephiroth seems more popular (?)), and I think it got worse when Square Enix transformed the serie as a gigantic cash grab (bc of the Final Fantasy movie flop) with unecessary sequels (it started with FF X-2), several part games, FF VII desperate neverending milking (remake + movies), releasing an unfinished game that you had to PAY to get the actual ending/finished/fixed version...(hi FF XV). Wasn't FF XV unanimously clowned for its awful chara design (at least the main squad looking like an outdated camp vkei band)? The Final Fantasy serie lost its luster since a while already so I understand the gaming community clowning it... But yeah, men loooove complaining about how male mental health isn't taken seriously, and then call 'pussy' entertainment soft bois.
And yeah, manga/anime censorship isn't new and every scrote seething about PC culture has no idea of what they're talking about. I'm from France and my country was one of the earliest to import anime/manga. Dragon Ball came out on our screen in the early 90s. This anime a censored like crazy. Kame Sennin peeping (underage) Bulma butt, Goku touching Bulma genitals, extreme violence....all of this was edited out by the producers of the CHILD PROGRAM that was broadcasting it 🥴 THEY ALSO BROADCASTED HOKUTŌ NO KEN WHICH HAS TO BE ONE OF THE MOST VIOLENR ANIME OF ITS GENERATION and they literally had to change dialogue and edit out like mad the 'worst' scenes (this shit was still violent nonetheless 🥴)
Same in Ranma 1/2 with Happōsai stealing girls panties and in the french dub they called them "tissues" 💀
And even for Dead or Alive 2 they censored Ayane and Kasumi age because they were canonically 16 years old but since they were highly sexualized in the game it didn't fly for the Western version so their age got switched to "Unknown" for those local version💀
Those scrote screeching about SJW culture have no idea how DEFENSIVE parents were against that anime trash when it first got imported her. If what we have today is SJW, I have no idea what they would have called what happened in the mid 90s .... If anything, society has become more lenient an open to the rEsPect cUltUrEs crap that's made us more enabling of straight up pedo bait bs. If anything we need more censorship. There's a literally rise of pedo sexual assault in Japan. Any person trying to say iT's fIcTiOnAl is either an idiot or a pedo. Pedophilia is going rampant on society and anime culture has totally a part in it.
you are right, "woke" has truly lost all meaning as a term... one of my new favorite games has a very basic and positive message to it but because the localization inserted some nonsense about a nonbinary character it got labeled as "woke SJW trash" even tho the rest of the script is pretty accurate to the original Japanese
I also saw comments about how just including a gay relationship in this game is "agenda-pushing" like I really don't get that tbqh. it just reminded me of people complaining that the new Zelda game is "woke" because it has a few characters who aren't lily white and Zelda has short hair lmao
LMAO Dying at the "woke" Zelda bc some characters are Black. Isn't that a fantasy game? like, with magic, talking trees, trolls and shit but Black people existing is a reach?? (they did the same for Lord of the Rings TV show)
I think the reluctance of these folks to see non White people in fantasy content is bc White people want to gatekeep fantasy as a 'White only' genre. Which is funny because White people have no problem reappropriating foreign genre for their own gain 🙃
Funny how these woke hunter always forget those Hollywood movies adaptation of foreign stories where the studio ALWAYS need to shove a WHITE hero for some reason or purposely use a story where a White character can outshine others?
Remember the samurai movie with Tom Cruise? 7 years in Tibet? Also Mulan love interest was supposed to be a White man initially, but people complained and it's been scrubbed off. There are whole think piece exposing how the Whites LOVE inserting themselves into POC stories to elevate themselves as heroes. Even woke storyline don't go that far with their non White characters ; they are always confined as side kick and minimum screetime (is it true that all the dark skin characters of the house of dragon ended up dying after the first season?? lmaoooo)
And I always said that the issue wasn't non White people being shoved in "White people story" because when Black Panther happened their were still mad and were seething about that movie catering to Blacks (but don't you dare saying movies featuring mostly White people are catering to White, it will make you an awful wokester lmao). Whites will always feel entitled for other races to relate to their stories, but never the other way around. There's a post floating around cathblr with Catholics raving about Arabs discovering the Lord of The Ring and enjoying it a lot. And I couldn't help but think: would those catholics turn the favor and rave about an Arab movie with islamist undertones...? 🙃 lmao.... Those people are soooooo transparent 💀
Everything is woke if you try hard enough, anyway. Scrotes are seething because they consider some video game female characters are purposely made ugly (like Aloy from Horizon Dawn. A scrote was coping bc the mocap actress was much more beautiful and he couldn't wrap his hand as of why they would change her face to make her look more 'rough' ...when he's just too stupid to grasp that this choice is actually pretty coherent with the storyline since homegirl is nomad WARRIOR.).
I also remember when they made a revamp of Mortal Kombat chara design and changed characters body proportion to become more realistic, scrotes got mad lmao It's hilarious how they think they're really doing something 'counter-culture' but they only show how porn fried they are. There's no way to think this
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...is better than that
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Btw, all those ANTI praising Japan for being anti woke are up to a very hard wake up call. Many japanese celebrities are vocal LGBT+ supporters, a significant amount of online stars are gay/queer (Ryuchell, Peey, Kemio...). Even recently a member of AAA (a famous pop band) came out as gay 😬 there's a huuuuge push for LGBT visibility into the Japan entertainment right now, so it's obvious they have no idea of what they're talking about... The other day on Twitter I've seen a post summing up why Western conservartard scrotes love Japan
Tumblr media
This post was in a thread about nuclear bomb and American burgers saying it was oKay tO kIlLs thOusaNd of CivIlIanS bEcAuse jApan wEre tHe bAd GuYs 🤡
The USA humiliated Japan in the non threatening " tech/anime obsessed pacifists". Unlike other countries that still have a minimum of pride and honour, Japan doesn't remind the USA how bad they are and the unchecked harm they done to them. They are also completely economically submitted to the USA (there are still American base out there.....). So the USA give them a cookie and constantly elevate them as the perfect non White country 🙃
