uSCP-8295: The Memory Collector

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: uSCP-8295 is to be contained within a 5m x 5m x 5m room constructed of reinforced steel and lined with 10cm of lead. The room is to be equipped with an electromagnetic field generator to disrupt uSCP-8295's ability to collect memories. Personnel are not permitted to enter uSCP-8295's containment chamber without Level 4 clearance and must wear full protective gear.

Description: uSCP-8295 is a humanoid entity that appears to be made entirely of a black, viscous liquid. uSCP-8295 has been observed to collect and consume memories from individuals within a range of approximately 10 meters. The memories are absorbed into the liquid body of uSCP-8295, causing it to grow in size and become more sentient.

Once uSCP-8295 has absorbed enough memories, it has been observed to exhibit a level of sentience and intelligence similar to that of a highly intelligent human. It is capable of communicating verbally and has demonstrated a deep understanding of human psychology and behavior.

The danger posed by uSCP-8295 is not only due to its ability to absorb memories, but also due to its ability to manipulate and alter them. Individuals who have had their memories absorbed by uSCP-8295 report experiencing vivid hallucinations and altered perceptions of reality. In some cases, uSCP-8295 has even been known to implant false memories in its victims, leading to extreme psychological distress.

Addendum: Incident 8295-1: On ██/██/████, uSCP-8295 breached containment and absorbed the memories of all personnel within the facility, causing widespread psychological trauma and resulting in ██ casualties. Following this incident, all personnel working with uSCP-8295 are required to undergo weekly psychological evaluations. Further testing and experimentation on uSCP-8295 is strictly prohibited.

To be loved is to be changed... comparison between Martin, a Webkinz barred owl who was one of my childhood favorite toys, and a like-new duplicate my mom gave me for Christmas one year.

I'm on the spectrum and owls were my special interest in grade school. I can still remember seeing this guy when he first came out, and begging my mom to let me buy it with my own money, which she suspiciously denied... turns out she knew my aunt had already gotten it and stashed it away for me for Christmas, and opening it up on Christmas Eve is still one of my happiest memories. He was a comfort object for me well into middle school and went with me everywhere I could possibly take him. It was at a time when a lot of other classmates were growing out of those kinds of things... but I've never not been a plushie lover. That'll be forever for me.

Hi!! I knew you've had a ton of questions like this (probably all for me 💀) but...What will the Archivists do when the Andromeda galaxy collides with the milky way?? Do they know this will eventually happen? It would be catastrophic considering plantery systems would be thrown out of balance and not to mention to the potential other Archivists they could meet. 👀

They are aware that it is going to happen the universe is in constant motion and all elements aren't really being careful about crashes. Even if things get further apart from each other, they still have diffrent paths and on most part a collision course, Archivists aren't going to stop it.

And galaxy collisions aren't exactly rare. Currently, the dwarf galaxy Sgr dSph is merging with the Milky Way, and Andromeda is the result of its own merges. Massive black holes are also theorised come from merges so those events aren't exactly very rare, but it takes billions of years for one to form. This gives the archivists enough time to get the planets they are interested in preserving out of direct harm and prevent them from being shot out into the void (or yeeted if you may). But besides that, they let it go its own course, just keeping an eye out so that the parts lost in the collision aren't on a trajectory to meet a planet they are watching over

Ony why they wouldn't interfere - since the universe is constantly expanding and galaxies are getting further away, a merger of two galaxies means the resulting galaxy (I saw MilkoMeda as their ship name) is easier to keep watch over. It's just one big galaxy in one place to watch over instead of two speeding in their own directions. Prevention is not worth the effort or the results

About meeting of another archivist, I don't think a starchild would be born from a galaxy merger. While it releases a lot of energy, this energy is spread out over billions of years, used in kinetic, in forming new stars, in radiation. Could it result in some other kind of celestial creature? Possibly. A magical speck of light traversing through the void away from the colliding galaxy

There is also a possibility that an archivist in that part of the void would be drawn to the merger as a bright, violent event to see, and they might meet each other. If they were there at the same time, I can't stress enough how long does it take to collision to end

What if Asa has completely forgot what his father did and that is why he listens to the radio at the end of The Collection because they were talking about what his father did.

And like, by forgetting, I mean that he has blocked it out (a common trauma response). He doesn't remember it happening, and by listening to reports about the incident, he hopes that it will unblock the memories.

I made this thing last December. This is just a sudden idea that came to me while I was thinking about the crossover of Owl House, Gravity Falls and Amphibia.

I tried to find Philip's saddest face and I spent quite a lot of time to find a good image of The Collector Luz
