As Christians, we should not cover up our gifts that God gave us because of any reason, including worrying about what people might think, or us feeling nervous, etc. When people see us behaving in Christian ways that show we really care about others’ wellbeing, even in smaller ways like saying thank you to the bus driver, or saying good morning to someone entering an elevator, or even giving change to someone on the street, people can see the light emanating from within us in those actions and might even praise God for it!!!!!

1 Corinthians 14:4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

This is love and we are loved by a perfect God, the author of love, the personification of love, so because He first loved us, we now can now love as He love us, it's an overflow we cannot contain.

We know that every man, woman and child are created in God's image, and because we love God, we can love people, even the mean ones. Faith on the other hand should be in the creator of heaven and earth, our father, not in people.

The human heart is deceptive beyond imagination and those who live apart from our fathers will are just that, we have faith in a perfect, loving God who will correct us because of His love for us and in whonthere is no deceit only truth.

We love people, Matthew5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. So in our love for them they see our father.

once a man told me that he thought i was just another girl who had been hurt by a man, then he proceeded to do something even worse and that surprised me bc i thought he would be smarter and would take good care of a woman, love her, respect her etc etc bc he had noticed it, i was very honest telling everything (obviously with a purpose, not going through the same things)…

lol i always bring back those moments at night…

Today I started a plan, the ten different bibles, and the first one is the bible of Aitken. He was a person that printed things back when we first started the states. He is the first one to print the bible in english, even though it was not allowed. The bible was even approved by congress, and to this day it is the most rare bible of all. To me it is crazy to think that we got the bible when we started our journey as a country. Then the devotional goes onto talk about Matthew 5:14-16; 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” I think this is trying to relate to the Aitken bible by saying that it was not hidden from America, it was given to the highest light to us, by being shown to us and even the highest people in our congress approving it.

Okay, I’ve been asked about these several times, so obviously that warrants a post about it, right?? After my first mission trip to Haiti in 2015, I was inspired to get my cross tattoo. Then @jerusharichardson and I decided to get soul sister cat tats from @sammiestattoostudio this past June. On that first trip to Haiti, we bonded first over our love of cats, second as she rubbed my back while I vomited on the plane. The "Love you always, me" tattoo is in Eddie's actual handwriting from a love letter he wrote me during our Weekend to Remember marriage conference. The letter was so sweet that I actually want to frame it. And lastly, the lightbulb is inspired by Matthew 5:14-16, but especially verse 16: "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." It is a reminder to myself to be a good person, and an icebreaker-ish way for me to talk more about Jesus to others. So yesterday was rough, but school wise I was doing ok. I am realizing that I need to have a schedule for my school set and not worry about doing all my assignments at once but doing what I can daily and putting in time to everything like my MCATS and going to Younglife and church. I remember being told that I am light. I haven’t heard that in a while, the last time someone told me that they weren’t Christian, but I guess that goes to show you that even non believers see you just as much, if not more than believers do. Always try to look at the good, even if it is so hard.
