A vacation sounded nice. Perhaps she could finally find time to relax in the French countryside like she always wanted to…

Honestly when I realized that her outfit in the concept art was just the tennis version of her outfit, I couldn't help but wonder what her casual look would even be. It was kind of difficult since she just had a lot of same colors, but I like the result!

To me she's a little brat. But can be kind in her own ways. She somehow keeps getting her hands on comedically large weapons. Boshi is her best friend. She's 12.

Penny finally jerked her face from her hands, immediately shaking her head through the rest of what Tanya said. Weirdly enough, and this was probably kind of fucked up too, but the idea of Tanya still hating her hurt even worse than finding out she was dead.

Wasn't that messed up? That Penny would rather love a ghost than lose...than lose her...

All those texts between Penny and Tanya flipped rapid-fire through her mind in a grand supercut, like she was watching the movie of them on fast-forward. Every secret, every joke, every fake selfie and every real one. Every single text was important to Penny. It was part of her journey to-- this point, right here, right now.

Tanya had been her friend, her confidante, her crush. She'd been a regret, and she'd been a missed opportunity, and she was something that Penny never, ever wanted to erase.

"No, you're...you're right, to have told me," said Penny finally, her voice still thick and trembling. She blinked another tear down her red cheek, then wiped it away with a fist. "I'm not-- I'm not mad. Seriously, I'm just-- sad I guess. It's a lot." She laughed wetly, weakly. "But I'm glad you told me. I want to tell you, like everything about me too."

In the same way we did research about sailing in the 1840s or Inuit culture in the 1840s, we did a fair bit into manhood — the male identity in the Victorian Era. We tried to unpack that in an interesting way for the audience, mostly by using this slow-motion disaster as a chance to show how men with these different sets of tools respond to fear. How do different men with different sets of tools respond to alienation and isolation, and all those kinds of anxieties? Hopefully we did an interesting enough job that it doesn't feel like we judged our characters, but it feels like we exposed them.

I usually read the last paragraph or two before starting something just so I could know whether the ending is happy or not. I did the same thing with Satisfied and went in thinking "oh it's a bit angsty but they end up together so it's cool". It wasn't cool, not at all. I read the flashback and assumed that was the ending and now I'm broken. Brb gonna reread Seeing Red or Twice to feel better.
