The whole 2020 Covid "lets close down every place we possible can" was great, and it def made the world better in many ways. but right now, for me, it made the world worse in one specific, inconvenient and frustrating way.

Prior to covid, if i needed to fill out paperwork for a disability parking placard and submit it to the dmv, i would get my doctor to fill it out, walk into the dmv, skip all lines because there was a special disability line, sit down, spend five minutes talking to a person, and then get my placard.

Now though??? NOW? at the tail end of 2024, nearly 4 full years after the shutdown from covid started and years after it started to end? My dmv is full appointment only, and if I wanted that placard, i gotta make an appointment in advance - the next one is like Dec 18 though, but i get my doctor to fill out the form tomorrow. so do I want an extra month with no placard, or try to get the security to take it like last time and then wait for them to ship me the placard?
