Sister-in-law gotten us this box of 4s Mango Daifuku (雪媚娘/大福) which is a type of Japanese wagashi (和菓子) consisting of a small round mochi (a glutinous rice cake) stuffed with a sweet filling. The mochi with the skin stretched so thin, barely enclosing the plain & mango flavoured fresh cream filling stuffed with a cube of mango. The mildly sweet, chilled cream works well with the tangy sweet mango against the chewy skin for a neat snack.

Also from my brother’s wife is this tub of Tiramisu Cake. Don’t ask me what is that yellow “blanket” on the surface which might be some sort of crepe skin, I think. The cake had the classic creamy mascarpone cheese and coffee/espresso profile but sadly no alcohol taste. Guess this dessert targeted the younger customers.

Selenne smiled widely, taking the basket of mangoes in her hand and holding them closely. She was like :3!!! as she nodded happily.
“ Aah! Thank you so much, darling! Elenois and I love mangoes, oh the amount of smoothies we could make with these! Maybe i’ll invite you over for some mango daifuku later ~ ! Did you grow these yourself, dear? These look amazing! I’ve never seen fruit look so beautiful before, haha ! ”
She truly was mesmerized by the mangoes, the basket of the fruit hung on her forearm as her free hand went to pet the anon’s head.

Wheat flours (小麦粉/komugiko)
In Japan, white wheat flours are mainly divided into three different categories and differ only in the first character so you can be confident that you are buying wheat flour if you see either of these sets of 力粉 (riki ko) or 力小麦粉 (riki komugi ko).
Bread Flour:強力粉 (kyou riki ko)
Japanese bread flour has a high gluten content with at least 12% protein content. Use this coarse flour for breads, noodles, and dumpling wrappers.
All Purpose flour:中力粉 (haku riki ko)
All purpose flour is likely the least common of the three flour categories in Japan. This flour has around a 9% protein content and moderate gluten viscosity making it suitable for udon noodles and day to day confections.
Cake Flour:薄力粉 (chyuu riki ko)
Cake flour has less than 8.5% protein content and, like its counterparts around the world, has low gluten content. Use this flour for everything from cakes, okonomiyaki (see our recipe here) to tempura!
Whole Wheat Flour: 全粒粉 (zenn ryuu funn)
As in any country, whole-wheat flour weighs more by volume than regular white wheat flours.If you would like to substitute regular flour with whole wheat to get more whole grains/fiber, try substituting half the totalvolume with whole-wheat.
Rice Flours (米粉/komeko)
Rice flours are very common in Japan and you will find many varieties at grocery stores. The most common uses are all for wagashi (Japanese sweets) but the texture of a final product differs depending on the variety of rice flour that is used. Rice flours in Japan are either made of non-glutinous rice (the rice used for dishes such as sushi and oyakodon) and glutinous rice (used for mochi in Japanese cooking and often seen in the US as the main ingredient for mango sticky rice at Thai restaurants).
Fine Rice Flour: 上新粉 (jyoushinko)
Jyoushinko is a fine powder created from polished non-glutinous rice flour. Because it is made of ordinary rice rather than glutinous rice, jyoushinko creates dishes that have a harder texture and are less sticky. The most common uses for jyoshinko are for kashiwa-mochi (red bean rice cake wrapped in oak leaves) and uiro (a sweet rice jelly). Contemporary bakers often also use jyoushinko for baked goods such as cakes.
Sweet Rice Flour: 白玉粉 (shiratamako)
Shiratamako is made up of polished glutinous rice ground into coarse granules. Shiratamako is unique because of its absorbent nature which allows for a smooth and elastic dough. Activate shiratamako by mixing it with cold water and use it to make all types of wagashi (Japanese desserts) such as daifuku and shiratama dumplings.
Glutinous Rice Flour: もち粉 (mochiko)
Mochiko is made of glutinous rice flour and is coarser than shiratamako. Compared to shiratamako, mochiko creates a softer and chewier dumpling. The primary use for mochiko is to add sugar in order to create gyuhi, a primary ingredient for wagashi.
Dango Flour: 団子粉 (dango-ko)
Dangoko is a blend of glutinous and non-glutinous rice. By soaking and drying the two types of rice together and then grinding them, manufacturers are able to create a more chewy texture compared to mochiko and shiratamako. As its name suggests, use this flour to make dango (Japanese dumpling balls).
Other “flours” (粉/kona)
These “flours” are actually often starches and are made from the root of plants native to Japan.
Warabi Starch: わらび粉 (Warabi-ko)
Warabiko is the starch made from the ground roots of the Japanese Warabi plant, also known as bracken. This fiddlehead fern creates a distinctive starch which is mild in sweetness, transparency, and has a jelly-like texture. The most popular use for it is to make warabi-mochi, a jelly-like wagashi (japanese sweet) most often enjoyed with kinako (soybean powder) and kuromitsu (Japanese black syrup).
Kudu Starch: くず粉 (kudu ko)
Kudu starch (also known askuzu) is made fromkudzu, a climbing vine which grows native in Japan. The entire plant is used: the leaves feed livestock, the stems are used for cloth, and the roots are dried and ground to make starch powder. The powder is commonly used as a thickening agent and can be found inwagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) as well as savory dishes.Compared to other starches, kudzu starch does not have a starchy taste and is clear and transparent, making it a superior choice for glosses and in soups, sauces and desserts.
Potato Starch: 片栗粉 (katakuriko)
Katakuriko is the Japanese name for potato starch and is used as a thickener in Japanese cooking. It was originally sourced from dogtooth violet plants but now is sourced from potatoes which are cheaper and more accessible. Make sure not to confuse katakuriko with potato flour as this starch is very fine, has little fiber or protein and has no taste.
Barley Starch: はったい粉 (hattaiko)
Hattaiko is a flour made of roast barley. It is a healthy food that can be used similarly to kinako (soybean powder) and has high fiber and protein contents. Try adding this powder to your sweets or even mixing it into batters for cakes!

Japanese Mango Daifuku Brand: Yubo & Love Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⠀ Contents: • 8 pcs Daifuku (Mochi) ⠀ The packaging of these daifuku (mochi) is very cute. It is packaged in a white box wrapped with a paper cover. Opening it feels like unwrapping a Christmas gift. The size of the mochi is quite small, which is really cute. They also smell delicious! It has a strong mango scent. The taste, however, is lacking. There is only a hint of mango when tasting the jelly at the center. It majorly tastes like eating a marshmallow treat. I do not encourage nor discourage you to try this. You are not missing out if you don’t.

Summary: When an Alice leaves wonderland (Be that they died or managed to escape the place), a new Alice falls from the rabbit hole. Faith strings pull and look at your memories and thoughts and decide how the residents of wonderland would look at the new Alice. The first Alice was loved and cared for, after they died many grieved their death. The next Alice was hotty, spoiled and uncaring they died because they were abandoned by the residents. The next died becoming an experiment of a resident they too were not loved and the next and the next and the next. The residents adopted the idea that whenever a new Alice comes they would experience a horrible faith in the end... well that is when you came along. A small 10 year old child.

Itachi watched you eat the cake in such a delightful expression, you remind him a lot of his brother Sasuke. When the adults were 'kind' enough to Sasuke to keep his innocence for a little longer than most kids at a young age. It has been a while now since the boy saw everything with his very eyes, how there was so much death did he started to become stoic and pushed people away.
Itachi had sad eyes looking at you and you noticed that.
Apparently, you and Itachi were waiting for Madara the mad hatter to come as the man was running late.
“You look sad.” You said in concern tilting your head cutely as you watched the man who looked very pouting sad for you.
“I am alright Alice,” Itachi said, shaking his head, he was fine, just a little sentimental remembering the past.
You pout at the man, “Please eat some cake! Sugar can make people happy and it gives you a boost in energy. That is what my mother told me when I was sad!”
Itachi glanced at the desserts on the long table, chocolate cakes, birthday cakes, mango cakes, peppermint cakes, pies, cotton candy-flavored milkshake, brownies with a lot of ice cream just sugar galore. Itachi liked sweets but he wasn’t in the mood for it for some reason, he ate this every day and it became a little boring.
“You don’t like sweets?” you asked when you see Itachi hesitate. Itachi again shook his head and like a gentleman declined sweetly “No, I am fine. I am full enough but thank you, Alice. I am fine with just green tea.” The only thing that wasn’t sweet on the table.
You tilt your head thinking “Hmm my father doesn't like sweets much but he likes green tea.” You said, to which Itachi nodded with mild interest. It would be rude not to listen to someone talking after all. “He likes to eat his green tea with mochi or dango tho.”
“Mochi?... Dango?” Itachi tilted his head, curious about what you just said. You nodded as you took a chomp of your strawberry muffin. “He likes Japanese sweets the most! He even made a few of them: hmmm.. Monaka, Daifuku~” You continued to ramble about these Japanese sweets that Itachi never heard about and his interest peaks.
“Can you tell me how to make them, Alice?” Itachi asked hopefully he was really curious about what they taste like.
You nodded excitedly hoping off your floating chair you trotted to where Itachi is seated far from the ground. You excitedly motioned him to come down and he didn’t understand what you wanted from him and just looked at you curiously as his chair touched the floor.
You grabbed his hands and smiled up to him. "Let’s make them together next time, I want Mister to smile!"
Itachi felt his heart still at your words, they were innocent from a child who most likely doesn’t know what they are saying but somehow it hit him right in the heart.
You reminded him of Sasuke.. no you are different. Young Sasuke is different and you are different, both are different beings and maybe you were much more mature than his brother. But that doesn’t change the fact that you are very adorable and heartwarming and managed to claw yourself into his heart.
Itachi smiled at you. It seems it would be hard to let go of you.
Madara walks into the dining room excited to meet the new Alice. He was busy for a moment.
What Madara didn’t expect was for the dining room to be bare with only Itachi and sweets at one side drinking his green tea. Where is the new Alice?
"Where is the Alice?"
"They left, unfortunately, they wish to leave wonderland as quickly as possible it seems"
"Ahh." Madara sighed, how rude that Alice is. To just up and leave like that!
Madara was about to leave, but he took notice of the smile on Itachi's face.

"you really want to try it?" y/n's eyes sparkled. the four-course-meal date or so it says on tiktok, was an idea where people, two mostly or an even number, use an app to randomize whoever chooses what they would eat for drinks, an appetizer, the main course, and dessert.
"i am," her partner, kita shinsuke, said beside her as they walked inside the mall. "it is very interesting."
"will you do the tiktok with me?" 
"if we must, then i suppose there's no harm."
y/n grinned, getting her phone out as they filmed the intro. kita was just told to smile and wave to the camera as she filmed.
"okay, first, drinks!" y/n held out her right hand, her left filming of course. rock paper scissors, shoot! they both threw out a rock which made them grin a little. cutting the video, they did another round. this time, kita threw out paper while y/n threw out rock. 
she stopped the video, grinning at her partner. "where to, shin?"
kita guided her to the boba shop he heard from osamu. they ordered, kita with his mango and passionfruit boba and y/n getting oreo with additional cheese cream. they filmed the next part of the video with kita showing off his drink.
after a good one hour, a little before lunch, they decided to get appetizers. rock paper scissors, shoot! kita, again, threw out paper while y/n smiled, victorious, as she threw out scissors. kita smiled, asking her what she wanted. she then lead him to an onigiri place where they ordered a few types of onigiri.
kita gladly filmed for her part, showing the camera the tuna onigiri she was munching on. and then there was the main course. y/n is pretty sure she knows what kita would like, having passed the restaurant that serves his favorite. rock paper scissors, shoot! this time, kita used rock while y/n used paper. y/n grinned, already pulling her partner to the restaurant.
"you want tuna hamburger, right?" she said from beside her partner as she eyed the menu. "let's get that and maybe some sides and some sushi would be nice."
kita smiled lovingly at her, eyes full of wonder because she remembered that small thing about him. he voiced his agreements, filming the two of them as they both took a bite of their burgers.
it was the end of the day and sadly, the end of their very interesting date. only dessert left, rock paper scissors, shoot! they both used paper and with an intense stare and grin adorning their faces, they played another round. kita used paper again but y/n changed hers to a rock. he grinned, knowing what sweet treat to end the day with.
"two orders of ichigo daifuku, please." y/n's smile grew wider, loving strawberries. they filmed the last part of the tiktok, y/n editing it once she got home. needless to say, everyone in inarizaki was talking about the captain and your date, loving the new side they notice from the usually stone cold captain.

♡ Forget Me Not: Prologue ♡
This is kinda the prologue, I haven’t decided if I want actually put it out but if you guys like this I’ll post the first chapter!!

“Hey! Are you listening?” You wave your hand in front of Touyas face “What? Why are you looking at me?”
Touya’s broken out of his thoughts by your voice. He hadn’t even realized he was staring at you. “You have daifuku on your face”  He states simply, he’s not wrong, you do have daifuku on your face. “Oh” you say, using your the sleeve of your school uniform to wipe some of the treat off your cheeks.
You lay back onto the grass behind you, still holding your dessert in your hand. Touya only watches you. You always seem so free, so cheerful, as if you have no worries. “Does your face feel better?” You ask, your hands now behind your head. Looking over at your friend. Part of his face covered by the bandage you made him wear. You keep telling him not to use his quirk, but he never listens. He’s so stubborn.
“Just a little bit” Touya says, you sit up at his words “Just a little bit!? Do you need more ice?” You practically shout in concern, Touya only chuckles at you. “I’m joking with ya, Y/n! Calm down; it feels fine” He continues laughing at your reaction. You huff and take your place back on the grass of the school field.
The track field of the school was one of the only places you and your best friend could hang out. Sure, you two could hang out at your family’s apartment but it wasn’t exactly the best. Touya never let you come over to his house, the few times you had, his father- well, let’s say his father didn’t like you very much.
Touya leans back, now laying on the grass beside you. You look over at him, his pure white hair intertwined with the spring grass.
“Touya?” You ask, now looking at the clouds.
“Yeah?” He responds simply.
You turn to the side to face him “Do you think we’ll be friends forever?” You ask, Touya only turns his head to face you. “What’da you mean? You think Imma pull a Keigo and leave you to go to UA?” He snickers, the mention of your old friend causing you to let out a small giggle.
“No- I just- I don’t know” You let out a sigh, moving to look back up at the clouds. “I’m just scared one day, you’ll forget about me- I know it’s stupid- but I guess I’m just a little insecure. I just- I don’t know” You truly don’t really know what you’re saying. You’re not sure how to express what you’re feeling right now.
“Don’t worry, Y/n. I won’t ever forget you”

“Fuck” Dabi mutters, lighting another cigarette. The memory plagues his mind even years after the incident. He guesses he was right, he never did forget you.
Dabi puffs a good amount of nicotine from his dry lips. Watching it disappear as the smoke wafts upwards into the night sky, the only light around being the fire on his cigarette and the flickering street lights.
The image of you, forces itself into his mind at least once a day. Although, you can’t really get rid of the only person in your life you ever cared about. The only person who saw you for you.
Dabi chuckles at the mental image of how you would react to him now. You’d probably scold him for using his quirk so much. You knew that his quirk hurt him, you would always take care of his injuries when he hurt himself. You always told him not to use his quirk, little did you know how much he was forced to use it at home.
Dabi let’s out a sigh, throwing what was left of his cigarette onto the street. Crushing it underneath his boot.
Removing his back from the grimy brick wall he was leaning on, he moves to go back into The League’s hideout. He needs some alcohol, it’s the only way he can forget about you. The only way to get rid of the guilt of leaving the only person he cared about behind.
