Review: McDonald's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie Toys

Introduction:
Happy Meal Toys are the prizes that McDonald's Happy Meals would have inside the kid's meal box. Power Rangers, being a children's staple of pop culture, gained sponsorship and licensed toys from the fast food company. Starting in the second season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and continuing until 2019. In this review, it's from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, aired in 1995. The line up had 12 toys in total counting from the rangers and their ninjazords, it was released in June 30th 1995 celebrating the movie release. This toy set was technically not Happy Meal related. They could be purchased with any meal order, similar to the way adult aimed collectibles normally work. Okay, that explains why they got intense details than most of Happy Meal toys but, the toys were still aimed for children aged 3 and up. The set features Red Ranger with Ninja Apezord, Black Ranger with Ninja Frogzord, Blue Ranger with Ninja Wolfzord, Yellow Ranger with Ninja Bearzord, Pink Ranger with Ninja Cranezord and White Ranger with Ninja Falconzord. All toys has the same purpose, the rangers are 10 cm/3.75 inch size and they're semi articulated; from head, arms and legs. These features allows them to be put into their ninjazord's cockpit as they serves as the ranger's vehicles to ride. All ninjazords got wheels underneath that allows them to roll by push forward/pull backward them. Of course, the toys doesn't have any electronic gimmicks which I don't mind with it.

Red Ranger with Ninja Apezord
The Red Ranger in here was sculpted very close to how the movie suit looks, which has armoric appearance and Red Ranger originally comes with Tyrannosaurus emblem on his chest but, I replaced it with Ninjetti Apezord coin to make it more faithful to his zord. Both of Red Ranger hands are in fist pose. The helmet appeared to be stylized on their own which is inaccurate to the movie but, understandable since it's a McDonald's toys. While his Ninja Apezord is a wheelie toy, the Red Ranger can be inserted into the hole on it's back while half raising his arms without bending his legs since he just literally hanging on the zord with his arms. The Ninja Apezord in here is depicted more like a gorilla instead of ape since it was made like how a gorilla would walk, it's design was likely mixture between movie and it's Sentai/TV counterpart, can be noted from it's "Saruder" emblem on it's chest and some several details. In the movie version, his chest is a visible cockpit where Red Ranger piloting the mecha and got different head as well as having metallic color and silver arms instead of solid red and black. However, still appreciate on how McDonald's put up a good effort on this.

Black Ranger with Ninja Frogzord
The Black Ranger in here was also sculpted the same like how the movie suit looks, originally comes with Mammoth emblem on his chest but, replaced it with Ninjetti Frogzord coin. Both of his hands are in chopping pose. The helmet once again made to be stylized. Ninja Frogzord also got wheels underneath and like Ninja Apezord, it's position is shown like an actual frog pose but, it forms more like a vehicle instead of a standing bipedal animal. Black Ranger can fit into the hole on it's back while half raising his arms and bending his legs into sitting positions since he's sitting in the zord's cockpit with his arms resting on the zord's legs. The Ninja Frogzord is depicted more like a frog but, it's eyes are on the side instead of binocular vision like how it's depicted in both movies and Sentai/TV counterpart. It was again designed to be mixed between movie and it's Sentai/TV counterpart, though both versions are still quite similar except in the movie, it has black metallic color instead of solid black. So far, I still like this conversion, because it was once few of the toyline that features an actual movie suits instead of recolor of the regular suit like how that lazy Bandai America did.

White Ranger with Ninja Falconzord
The White Ranger also made the same like how the movie suit looks but, the suit still got Kiba Ranger element. Aside the helmet and armor there're bicep straps, wrist bands, shin bands and Dairanger square shaped buckle. His armor was actually the same armor like how other ranger suits but, he got long shoulder pads that made him special. Unfortunately, this shoulder pads limits his arm movements. He was originally comes with Kiba Ranger emblem on his chest but, I replaced it with Ninjetti Falconzord coin. Like Red Ranger, both of his hands are in fisted pose but, his right arm was shaped slightly bending his elbow. The helmet once again made to be stylized but, I'm surprised that my friend was able to add lines on his eyes thus making him atleast almost close to how the movie looks. Ninja Falconzord is also formed the same like Ninja Frogzord which made it looked more like a vehicle but, bigger due to it's wings. Its wings are shown to be either in resting position or flapping down. White Ranger can be inserted the same way like Black Ranger did since it was designed to be a sitting cockpit with his arms resting on the zord's back. Like its name, the zord is depicted as a hawk/eagle/falcon and out from all this was the only zord that was done very similar to both movies and Sentai/TV counterpart. Except, the movie version has metallic color feel. It's quite interesting they tried to add more Kiba Ranger elements on his suit than in the actual movie, the original toy actually got gold painted bicep straps and belt. But, I tried to follow how the movie suit looks where White Ranger doesn't have that straps and his belt being simply white and got Dino Buckler instead of Dairanger belt. For sure, since his belt is white colored he looks kind of naked somehow but, gotta follow how it should be. Back in the day, Tommy's popularity overshadowed the whole rangers presence. This was thanks from most fans who wanted Tommy's comeback. As a result, Tommy became a legend of all rangers.

Thoughts:
Back in 1995, I didn't know this existed in McDonald's because I never even get to see their ads in my place, except the Texas Fried Chicken's MMPR pullback motorcycles, Kentucky Fried Chicken's MMPR tumblers and Texas Chicken's MMPR megacept mugs. Sadly, these McDonald's series was never released in Indonesia... I think it's because they're not considered as Happy Meal Toys or some other reasons. Probably this was a thing back in 1995, considering the hype of Power Rangers back in 90s. I found this out somewhere in 2009-2010, and I honestly fell in love seeing them and hoping to get mine. And I did bought them in 2018 as loose junks from several thrift sellers. Of course, due to their old age they're restored and also slightly customized to make them faithful to the movie. It's a good thing that they don't have exclusive region releases like Despicable Me/Minions series. Don't ask about Blue, Yellow and Pink because I don't like them.

Y'all like Dungeons & Dragons? Here's some DnD stuff I done for our games
Let's start off with my best piece. The impetus behind making it was three things: 1) an adaptation of the MTG card Paleoloth into a creature with a more animalian physique rather than 'lumpy rubbery tree beast" that would better fit into our game setting 2) an attempt at dark and moody lighting and 3) a Steamed Hams joke!
This image looks good on desktop, but way too dark on mobile.
One locale invented by our Forever DM was a tundra populated by animals that had varying degrees of control over fire. The mammoth is more-or-less a normal mammoth albeit with a little fantasy/Skyrim flair in the form of 4 tusks. The FireFox was essentially an Arctic Fox that could wreathe itself in a flaming mantle as a defence response. And the Ember Rabbits ate a special fireweed that they could ferment and regurgitate as a sticky burning predator deterrent.
The unicorn was one of my earliest DnD images I attempted digitally. I clearly had no idea how to do backgrounds lol. The image beneath it is a reinterpretation of a warg. Less wolf, more hyena with a little big-cat, horse, and extinct critters mixed in. Sadly this WIP screenshot is all that remains of it as it was done on my old laptop who gave up the ghost not long after this was taken.
One of our campaigns took place amongst a continent of floating islands, and therefore involved flying pirates and skywhales! The skywhale on the left was intended to be a kind of 'White Whale' idea, but since the whales ate the trees that grew on the Sky Islands I added some manatee to the look (perhaps a bit too much, but oh well. Also I was playing around with the ink stipling tool, how well that worked is up to your interpretation). Which brings us to our first character, one that was played by Yours Truly. The setting involved sky pirates, so my two inspirations were Treasure Planet, and the chase of the Draconis at the end of Titanfall 2. The character is essentially if John Silver was a hobbit, had beef with the East India Company, and had his own BT-7274 (but medium sized because that's what the artificer statblock says it has to be...).
Full confession, I am not-good(TM) at drawing people OR machinery. So my workflow on that one consisted of collaging together a bunch of stuff from Google Images until I had enough to trace and fill in the little details. This is also true of all my human character images.

The top two here are a Beastmaster Ranger and her Owlbear from our Icewind Dale campaign. I never got around to digitally painting the Owlbear, so all I have is a photo of the sketch paper (which is now long gone). The lower left is a minotaur gladiator character from an Arabian Nights inspired campaign. And the lower right is basically a shitpost. Another player described their character as Ben Franklin as a paladin who uses a whip, and then dropped a hard as hell line. I had to commit it to paper (well, the digital equivalent)

Flame Toys Go! Kara Kuri Power Rangers Dino Megazord
So much to say. Firstly, we've known about this toy since January of 2021. I remember being very excited at the initial reveal, because while it was the Dino Megazord, it was so hyper stylized and cool looking, that I would definitely own a second one for something like that. (Look at the pictures, then think about that statement for a second...)
But it wasn't until August of 2022 that it actually went up for order. And y'know what went up for order shortly before it? The ZAP Megazord. Good job communicating with your third party developers Hasbro. But I was still way more interested in this one. I even had $300 set aside to buy it. But when it went up for order, it was over $400, and I realized that I could be both the ZAP Megazord and the newly unveiled ZAP Dragonzord for less than it combined, which is how I ended up owning them... And then I caved and preordered it anyway.
But we're not done, because this thing was originally supposed to release in June of 2023. But it got delayed. And again. And again. It had multiple production delays that set it back until the last day of February 2024 (thank goodness it was a leap year). And the whole thing just got me feeling a little... jaded. I just felt like I had waited for so long, and that it had been delayed so many times, that I just didn't think it was ever going to come out.
But when I finally got that email saying it had shipped, I let out an audible gasp. The next two days we me antsily waiting for it to get here. And when it did, everything was, like, "they did that?" "Wait, they thought of that?" "That transforms, too?" It was a magical experience I haven't felt since Glacialord. So let's get to why this toy makes me feel like that:

The Good: Where to start? The T-Rex, I suppose. It puts the other three I have to shame. It GaoGaiGar's the legs, so they're able to have more articulation than the others, which fold the legs up onto the back of the thigh. It has pretty decent ankles, fully posable arms, the robot's waist, and a tail with a ton of universal joints in it (not balls, like ZAP Dragonzord). The tail can even expand and compress at every joint. Its only part with subpar articulation is the head, but that's only due to all the transforming it has to do, and even then it's still a great, unique sculpt.
If you've handled the ZAP or Lucky Cat mastodons, you'll understand what they tried to do with this interpretation, but it's just a bit more and feels a bit better. Like, it can balance on its back legs, its front toes can articulate, the trunk has a ton of joints. Its definitely the most brickish of the set, but I can't imagine giving it, say, a neck joint without encumbering it. And speaking of neck, the new head position gives it such a great identity that sets it apart from its predecessors.
The triceratops has legs! But if that's not your thing, they can flip around to reveal those usual treads. Those tiny legs are also very strong, and quite posable. Definitely the second-most brickish, but that's saying a lot considering how many poses you can get it into with what it has.
I find it really hard to get good looking quadruped articulation, but the saber-tooth tiger nails it. Pounce pose, run pose, (I haven't tried sit pose yet) any pose you can put it in looks great. It also has a really emotive neck, which helps a lot.
And the pterodactyl has the biggest glow-up. It has an actual neck like an actual pteranodon! And that head on top is very articulated, giving it a lot of emotiveness. Those wings are also very articulated, and having the hip skirt serve as actual feet makes it feel like such a better package than even the Lucky Cat's version, with the double ptera that mostly ends up as a backpack.
And onto the transformation, it's not actually that complicated. Its big thing is it has a lot of locks all over the toy to prevent certain joints from moving in different modes, but it doesn't take long to realize "if it doesn't move, look for a lock." And there are so many weird and cool transformation bits, like how the head assembles, the T-Rex's nose compressing, the mastodon toes becoming the elbow guards, the shield actually transforming, etc. It's fun.

Now, before we get to the main attraction, lets pivot and talk about the tank mode real quick. There's quite a bit of dedicated engineering for just this mode, with there being a slide in the legs, cuts in the hips, dedicated parts in the T-Rex chest and mastodon head, etc. Also, credit to this one over the others, the pterodactyl really brings it together.

And the actual Megazord is so well engineered. When combined, it feels like a solid piece; I'm not really worried about it falling apart, or untransforming as I play with it. All those locks really do make a ton of difference. And it's incredibly posable. I never had any trouble getting it into the pose I wanted; wings were super smooth to work with, arms never fought me to do anything, ankles are good, tail caused a few problems but only because I was trying not to poke my monitor. And that's the most amazing thing about this toy; that it is a toy. This isn't just some big display piece, it's playable, it's fun, and that's what probably surprised me the most about the whole experience. I was expecting to be scared that I'd shatter this thing if I looked at it funny, but it's just a super solid toy.
And everything is very self-contained, like the original. There's no extra hands, no adapters, no weird super-complex dismantling going on. The guns don't store (from what I've found), but apart from them, there are no spare parts. Heck, even the sword stores away. The sword. It's exceedingly impressive what this accomplishes.
The Bad: Two things. One, some of my glue didn't set? The front of the T-Rex pelvis, and the back of one of my hands both pop off. These aren't super important, load bearing areas or anything; I can glue them myself and they'll be right-as-rain, but I worry about other people where maybe more important areas didn't set right? Hopefully this is a rare issue and never on anywhere important.
And second it the saber-tooth tiger bit me, and it drew blood. Like, it's the next day and I can still see the mark. I also tried to set him on my lap, and his tail poked me right in the ouch. Very spiky, very pointy, be aware.
The Next: When this went up for preorder, they did also show off their grey prototype for a Go! Kara Kuri Dragonzord. And I think the only other time they've mentioned it was when that same proto showed up at a toy show. I follow them on The Twiblies, and they talk about this line maybe once a year, if that, so my hopes are not high that we'll ever get it. But after handling this, I do hope it eventually comes out. Heck, with how much work I've been putting into redesigning Titanus, this feels like the company that might actually do something interesting with it, besides the mono-boot.

Overall, I cannot sing enough high praises about this release. It's a beautiful, well engineered, very playable toy. It is incredibly expensive, though. I just hope that if you walk away from this review with anything, it's that if you do bite the bullet, you'll be getting your money's worth.

we're so fucking back
Hiiiiiiii so Tarkir: Dragonstorm comes out real soon and there is... nothing major wrong with it! No racecars, no evil clowns, no suppurating mass of yet another shoehorned IP crossover event, just... Magic. Remember Magic? One of the best games ever made on this wretched earth in spite of everything? This is that!
And sure, I could complain about some things, like how the Abzan and the Sultai have the exact same color scheme for some reason, or all the inconsistencies in the overall time travel plot, like how Zurgo is suddenly a big badass like in the old timeline instead of the whinging bellbonger he was in this one or how the mammoths are suddenly unextinct, or how the application of the "Druid" subtype represents a desire on the part of WotC to appear less racist without wanting to understand anything about how racism operates at a structural level so they're just changing surface-level aesthetic elements at random while periodically looking back at the audience for approval like in that one dril tweet, but frankly I'm past wanting Magic: the Gathering setting and story to be good, you know? I just want it to be good enough.
AND SISTER, IT IS

Riverwheel Sweep (art by Wayne Wu)
At this point I believe my record on women with blindfolds and intense upper-arm muscle definition speaks for itself, but just in case: this is real hot. As for my stance on being wrapped up in a length of red silk, reeled in, and forced to my knees: surely you can guess.

Flamehold Grappler (art by Wayne Wu again, good job Wayne)
I firmly believe that everyone should shave their head at least once in their life, and only partially because I think it's hot when women do this. It also really helps to break the back of the beauty standards cop in your head. "But I have a weird-shaped head! I could never pull that off!" Bitch everyone has a weird-shaped head, or a weird hairline, or one little patch of hair that grows in the wrong way, or something. Get comfortable with your own weird body—you'll be happier.
Anyway while I like the idea of a woman with four additional flaming arms, in practice I think burns are Not Worth It. Probably she doesn't have those all the time, so I suppose she could just be a good-looking girl who can beat me up, which I'm not complaining about, but also consider: if you took a bath with her the water would never get cold.

Meticulous Artisan (art by Anna Pavleeva)
Really really long nails, on the other hand, are worth it. I want to stumble out of the bedroom the following morning covered in cartoon kiss marks and an alarming number of lacerations.
Also—we're all on the spectrum here, yeah?—"meticulous" is one of the hottest things a dom can be. Slow, patient, curious about stimulus and response. "What happens if I touch you here? Interesting. What happens if I hurt you there? Very interesting."

Constrictor Sage (art by Nereida)
One of the other hottest things a dom can be is a giant snake lady. Have you ever held a snake, realized it's just smooth and pleasantly-textured skin over nothing but muscle? Holding a snake is a kind of tactile and sensory bliss—we are all on the spectrum here?—which exceeds any number of smooth rocks or plunging your hand into a bowl full of flat glass beads. I've never met a rope that could compare to the coiling allure of snondage.
And while we're on the subject: look how her victim is arching her back. Look at the spectral snake beside her head flicking its tongue out across her jaw. There is something very lesbian going on here, and I hope they both enjoy themselves.

Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan (art by Victor Adame Minguez)
I'm really enjoying her th—hang on, what the fuck is she wearing? The weird burning face breastplate? Wait all the Abzan are wearing this, this Arnim Zola bullshit? Can she team up with four more for the full Voltron? Is this intended to tease an upcoming Power Rangers secret lair?
WAND! MAKE MY MONSTER [Become Immense]
Okay shut up about that it's Eshki time.

Eshki Dragonclaw (art by Tran Nguyen)
I am immediately in love with this character and this piece. I love the bright colors and the patterns on her coat, the beads in her hair. I adore how stylized, how just one step shy of cartoony it is. I really enjoy her dog, who is evoking for me the demons and monsters of traditional east Asian art. And the girl... I want to see her on runways. I want to see her in magazine shoots talking about her nascent music career. God help me, I want to be her songwriter in that music career, and you know, I would try to keep her grounded and safe against the pressure and the predation of that but she's getting actually famous now—look at her, of course she is—and working harder and harder and the fans and the producers keep wanting more more MORE and she can't stop, she can't even slow down and when I tell her I can't keep watching her do this to herself she says who cares, there's a hundred better songwriters drooling for the chance to work with me but I see her face in the instant before she composes herself to say that and it breaks my heart but I leave anyway. And when they start putting her in movies I watch them, I watch when they cast her opposite whatever fifty-year-old man they have doing Bond this decade, watch her go to bed with him, watch her face-up floating dead in the pool when the bad guy takes his revenge, and I follow along when the press inevitably turns on her like botflies. The court case against the powerful industry figure she loses, the tabloids talking about her drug use, the easy punchlines she makes for nepo comedians. And then one day she's gone—dead or vanished, no one can say for sure—and that is all.
Until one day, many years later, there's a woman in the park sitting with her back to a tree, not singing but playing guitar, dark-haired, face different from how everyone remembers it, and she's playing the last song I ever wrote for her, the one she never recorded, never performed. And I stand there across the way, unable to move, and she plays until another woman comes to get her and she slings the guitar on her back and they go off hand in hand. And wouldn't that be enough? In all this wide world, wouldn't that be enough?
NO. IT'S A PEDESTRIAN, TOOTHLESS LITTLE FANTASY. YOU HAVE PEOPLE THESE DAYS WHO LOVE YOU BACK IN UNCOMPLICATED WAYS. HAVEN'T YOU OUTGROWN THIS
Mostly, I think. Every once in a while it's fun to indulge, tho—and for a pedestrian, toothless fantasy, isn't it awfully pretty?
CAN YOU PLEASE JUST EAT PEOPLE OUT IN YOUR FANTASIES LIKE A NORMAL PERSON
Well, maybe next time. Whenever Wizards deigns to bestow upon us another actual Magic set. Or whenever I nail down what the next seminal, life-changing essay is supposed to be about. See y'all then.

Alternative names for humanity along the lines of "Homo sapiens" (Wise man) and "Pan narrans" (Storytelling Chimpanzee) that I'm too lazy to look up/make up Latin for:
chef ape
throwing ape
walking ape
The idea being that we're apparently unique in the animal kingdom in that we cook our food, so we're the Chef Apes. We're also one of the best animals at throwing things: humans have more accuracy and strength when throwing stuff than other apes, by a long shot
And apparently our ability to walk slowly for ages was key to our early survival as persistence predators. We can't outrun a gazelle or mammoth or whatever, but we don't tire easily and so we can just keep following it until it runs out of stamina
Pan basipila: the baseball playing Bonobo
If only baseball had a cooking element, it would be the perfect Human Sport.
We need to devise a sport where you cook something, follow someone for a long time, and then throw it at them.
The most human thing is the surprise pie to the face
Also as much as I like Terry Pratchett's suggestion of "Pan narrans" I wouldn't be surprised if we turn out to not be the only animal that tells stories...
Elephants. I bet elephants do.
Like, there was that case where an injured elephant went to a ranger station for help. One it had never been to before, but other elephants had.
The theory being then that some other elephant had told this elephant "hey if you're hurt, go here, the humans will help"
That, combined with how they have burial rituals (some which might indicate there's an elephant religion!), and that we're working on figuring out how elephants communicate...
It wouldn't surprise me if we learn sometimes in the next decade or two that "oh yeah, elephants tell stories too. They've got FICTION."
So "Pan narrans" isn't what I'd want to bet on as our uniquely human thing.
But at the end of the day, maybe the whole idea of there being a uniquely human thing is, in itself, just another story we're telling.
So maybe it is a good fit after all.
But I especially like the idea that we're the Baseball Ape because I have this image in my head of a galactic council of aliens. Some angry alien who looks like Cthulhu had a baby with a spider has the floor, and they're ranting about "why do the Hu-mons deserve a seat?"
The Crogath are stronger, the Eldru are smarter, the Cybernetic Essense lives longer, the Dromans go farther and faster, the Moltriri have us beat in fiction and poetry, what is so special about these damn bipedal fleshbags that makes them unique in the universe?
And then WHAM. Right between the eyes. A handheld translator device, a bit bigger than a modern smartphone, beans the speaker out of nowhere.
And there's an (untranslated) yell in the chamber as the prime representative calls for order.
"WE CAN THROW, MOTHERFUCKER!"
(it takes a while to properly explain the insult. Crogathi (especially drones) don't really have mothers or sexual reproduction, so they don't really get why that would be an insult. It's finally translated as something like "bud-biter")
and it's true. even after the World Series becomes the Galactic Series, no non-human team ever manages to win.
The Eldrul Librarians almost make the cut in 2486 but accidentally piss off the ghost of Colonel Sanders and end up inheriting the Hanshin Tigers' curse.
alien textbooks describe The Colonel as some kind of human patron deity of baseball and cooked avian food, who should not be disrespected at all costs, or his vengeance from his place beyond the grave will be swift and punishing
(they're right)
"Look, we can't PROVE he was why Gemini Noctis went supernova unexpectedly, but given the protests that had happened right beforehand, and the incredible powers ascribed to the human spirits, do you really want to risk it?"
the funniest possible future: humanity gets a key place in galactic politics because we're never able to adequately convince the universe at large that our ghost stories are just that, stories, and they're terrified shitless that we'll unleash spectral torment on them
"humans? look man, living humans are a pushover. you can easily rip them in half, crack their planets with a quark bomb, their ships are little more than tin cans with a tachyon drive taped on the side. but it's not the living humans you have to worry about... it's the ghosts."
"humans are a bit like the Nontilek, with a two-stage lifespan, a grub and an adult. What you think of as "adult" humans is just their infant stage, and they only fully transform once they "die". Once fully hatched into Ghost form, their powers are almost limitless."
you want humans off a colony planet and bomb them from orbit? good luck, now you have a few million ascended humans who can pass through solid matter and can't be killed, and they will never rest until you and your descendants are gone or dead.
you don't believe me? look at this: One of their most popular stories is about them building an empire that spanned a large chunk of their little planet, then having it MURDER THEIR OWN GOD.
It only worked for a few revolutions, and he just came back, promising that one day all of them would join him in the next phase of their lifespan.
They still, to this day, thousands of orbits later, erect little statues of the means they used to execute their deity.
not even the Crogathi, who literally worship death itself, tell stories that frightening to their newly hatched grubs.
Humans are scary, man, stay away and just give them whatever they want.
the rest of the alien's education on the dangers of humans is just a selection of human movies. the sixth sense, poltergeist, ghostbusters, the shining, the devil's backbone, and, of course, field of dreams.
ghosts AND baseball? it's everything they're scared about humans all in one package!
the obvious twist you could do, of course, is simple:
the aliens are right.
humans are a two-phase species where the elder form has immense power but leaves communication and decision making to the younger form, which will be confused and angry if you acknowledge the presence of their elder-stage members among them.
this often leads to them cutting off contact or their elder-stage members causing immense damage through seeming "accidents" on the contacting vessel. This is believed to be some kind of religious prohibition that they are not able to explain.
so it's official contact protocol to pretend you cannot perceive the elder-stage humans among them, and to give them what they want to avoid possible retribution.
No means to combat elder-stage humans has yet been found, and the limits of their power is not known.
All alien captains are required to study the fate of the SS Ennolon, which contacted a lone human craft in the galactic year of 12,783. They had initiated contact and were getting along fine, until the human showed the Droman captain a picture of their "late father".
Captain Droless, accounting for the difficulty in telling humans apart, then pointed at the father sitting in a chair nearby and said "That is them, correct?".
The human looked at the chair, reacted in confusion, then anger, and asked the contacting crew to immediately leave.
It was another 400 cycles before contact could be reestablished between the Droman Federation and the Human Alliance.
the intergalactic guide describes humans as a powerful race of immortal energy beings who have the strange habit of sending their larvae out on missions around the galaxy, occasionally contacting other races, but refusing to acknowledge their elders, except in stories
they seem to frequently put their young in dangerous situations without lifting a hand to help, so this is suspected to be some sort of pilgrimage or coming-of-age ritual.

D&D Idea: a family of dragons that are herbivores. They have specialized into a few biomes and food types, but I think the best way to classify these dragons (to avoid overlap with existing ones) is with the animals they mimic in their ecological niche.
For example, the Giraffe Dragon lives in small herds and eats tender leaves and shoots from tall trees. It has a three-part jaw to scoop and bite around sharp thorns, and uses its long neck to conduct a powerful electric breath weapon.
The Mammoth Dragon has no trunk, but sharp tusk-like blades of bone sweep out from its lower jaw, allowing the beast to scythe down vast quantities of grass - and protect itself from predators. If some dire bear or pack of elven rangers wants to take the risk, they still must contend with the mammoth dragon’s lava breath.
Though these first two have vestigial wings used in body language, the Moose Dragon is capable of true flight. It can be awe-inspiring to see the creature gallop through shallow waters, building up speed before it leaps into the sky. Moose dragons eat a lot of aquatic vegetation, and can hold their breaths for a long time. Perhaps their subsonic roar is even more deadly underwater, but no researcher is brave enough to test this.
What herbivore dragon would you put in your world?

So I was Thinking About a Megaman X (Hitoshi Ariga style Series) But Here's the Catch
As you May know I was Thinking About a Megaman X (Hitoshi Ariga style Series),I'm not a Huge Fan of the Mega Man X manga version done by Iwamoto either
But here's the Catch,Some of the Mavericks will be Saved and Spared by X and Maverick hunters while The Rest will ACTUALLY be Destroyed and Resurrected by Sigma and Became his Lackeys
However this will be Split up to parts
So part 1:
X1:(Saved) Chill Penguin(His Backstory is a Tad bit different,He's Still Spiteful of What Flame Mammoth bullied him and his Unit,However after Flame Mammoth was Resurrected by Sigma and Became his Lackey,His Hatred of Flame Mammoth Grew from Hatred to Loathe,Despite this,He Really Good Friends with Storm Eagle and Marth),Storm Eagle (His Backstory is Still the same,But his Girlfriend Teal is going to get Spared),Armored Armadillo (Learns the Difference between True Loyalty and Blind Loyalty, he uses his katana sword,I think it will be pretty cool For a Maverick to have a bladed weapon,He uses it when things get REALLY out of Hand in Combats),Boomerang Kuwanger (Gave him the Knuckles treatment (Well Sort of),Boomerang Kuwanger was Tricked by Sigma into joining his Rebellion,However After Realizing of What ACTUALLY meant,He hit his head to know he's been Bamboozled)
X1(Destroyed and Resurrected by Sigma):Flame Mammoth (Backstory unchanged),Launch Octopus(His personality was Similar to Maverick hunter X),Sting Chameleon (His Backstory was a Lot Different,He loses his Best friends on 9th Special Unit (Ranger Unit) due to Incident,Leading him to become Crazy and Bothersome when he joined Sigma)
However as for Spark Mandrill,It's Undecided
#rockman x#mega man x#alternate universe#Chill Penguin#storm eagle#Armored Armored#boomer kuwanger#Flame Mammoth#Sting Chameleon#Launch Octopus#Spark Mandrill
