It's been a year and I fianlly got around to working on and finishing my Xie Lian poster (at least I'm calling it a poster)
I redrew it uuuuh 3 times before changing around and reworking complete parts of it and it still doens't have a background that I enjoy but hey maybe y'all will like it <3
He's a lil note sheet on the appearances here i guess, with my semi-chaotic notes.

after book two and the donghua i've gotten so terribly attached to fang xin goushi, i can't get enough of him, he's my beautiful traumatized near-calamity mystery man trying desperately to stop history from repeating himself and to give a young prince the dreams and wonders and ideals that were taken from him, to make sure the people of xianle found new homes in the kingdom of yong'an without war or prejudice and now he finally has the chance to give them what he couldn't all those years ago, even if it's from beneath a mask.

Goushi is the best
Goushi is definitely my favourite in the entire book. His interaction with hualian are just hilariously epic! For example.......
1. Scolding the ghost king to show proper respect to the elder.
[It was as if Guoshi couldn’t hold back any longer, and he rolled up his sleeves, speaking to Hua Cheng with a somber and heavy tone, “I’ve been wanting to say this since earlier. You young man, how come your smile isn’t sincere at all? Don’t think just because you’re a Supreme Ghost King that you can be impolite towards me. Sure, Supreme Ghost Kings are rare, but do you know how old I am? Of course it’s an elder like me with such an age who is the more rare.” ] ch220
2. Being a supporting parental figure to xie lian
[Guoshi puffed a breath and sighed, “Don’t be afraid, Your Highness, I wasn’t going to lecture you on anything. I won’t guide you on something I myself aren’t an expert in. Besides, you’ve already come through after so much, what’s there left to worry about? Men or women it doesn’t matter, as long as you yourself are happy.” ] ch220
2. Saying the ghost king is a clinger to his face.
[However, Guoshi added in glum confusion, “...But after searching for eight hundred years, how did you end up finding a Supreme Ghost King?”
Xie Lian was taken aback. Guoshi said, “I’m not saying you’ve got bad taste, it’s not bad, I’m sure big girls and little maidens all like your type. But a Supreme Ghost King is very aggressive, I’m telling you. Your Highness, you gotta think things through, alright? Once people like that cling onto you, you can forget about ditching them.” ] ch220
3. Calling the ghost king a stalker to his face.
[Guoshi was completely shocked. He slapped the back of his right hand into his left palm a few dozen times, and it was a moment before he could finally speak, ”You see, you see you see you see, I told you so! I told you Supreme Ghost Kings shouldn’t be so easily provoked. He’s been coming onto you from such a young age, such ghastly persistence! It’s been what, eight hundred years? EIGHT HUNDRED YEARS! He’s been stalking you for eight hundred years. Scary, too scary! My fortunes really are too accurate!” ] ch221
4. Scolding the big bad ghost king for corrupting his pure & innocent little disciple.
["Guoshi leaned over to argue, ”You cunning young man, don’t think I can’t tell. Aren’t you exactly using the fact that His Highness isn’t too learned in this aspect? Why don’t you tell me right now to my face how spiritual power is lent? How many ways can it be lent, and how do you lend it? What did you tell His Highness?”] ch221
5. Criticising the handwriting of ghost king.
[Guoshi finally agreed with him, and he tucked his hands in his sleeves, ”Extremely hideous. After so many years, other than that hellish mess of a set of verses on the doors of the Gambler’s Den in the Ghost City, that writing was over ten times more hideous than this, I have never seen anything more hideous!” ] ch221
6. Goushi is the only person other than xie lian hua Chen use the respecble version of you while addressing.
7. Hua cheng trying to impress the in-law...I mean Goushi.
[Thus, Hua Cheng went forward, and held onto Guoshi’s arm as if he was assisting an elderly senior, ”Guoshi, sir, please. Watch your step.”
Guoshi turned his head and saw the one assisting him wasn’t Xie Lian and knitted his brows, "Huh? Why is it you?”
Xie Lian guessed that one, Hua Cheng was worried it might not be convenient for Xie Lian to take another person along, and two, Hua Cheng wanted, for the sake of some particular goal, show himself off a little in front of the elder, demonstrate some attentive diligence, which was why he offered to take over. Seeing this, Xie Lian couldn’t help but puff a laugh, hiding it with a light cough, ”San lang said very sincerely that he wanted to assist you, so I...” ch230

honestly i'm trying not to be a hater because ultraz is obviously just filling the obligatory pseudo-antagonistic new unit role that every new season of an idol anime seems to need
but even though they do work hard, they are making tsubasa's work more difficult. it's not only their fault that her job has been so overwhelming lately, and the primary blame still lies on the agency that's running her ragged, but their behavior is not helping in the slightest
sucks that eisuke feels neglected or like she favors b-pro, but honestly goushi said nothing wrong. tsubasa is legit just so busy these days that she doesn't have time to eat, and this kid wants to sulk because when she finally gets a chance to grab a bite it isn't with him. that is childish
if goushi did anything wrong, yeah, maybe he shouldn't have implied they don't do any "real" work when he doesn't watch their content. but wtf was eisuke on about "you're the childish one for calling me childish" no tf he is not dude you were being childish
anyway for the love of god someone please give tsubasa the break she deserves
