I know I had headcanon Mabel being a perky, pastel goth before, but honestly...I can see her divulging into any style if she feels like it. Like, she could be classic Mabel for one day, then she's goth Mabel on another day, then she's retro Mabel on another day, so on and so on.

What all her styles have in common is her handmade stuff.

I feel that this would fit her creativity.

1. ART KID, she is not popular, neither twin is.

1a. Candy and Grenada were the first real friends her age besides cousins and stuff

6. Waddles was supposed to be kept outside in piedmont. She begged and pleaded until Waddles was let into the house in Peidmont.

7. Spent a lot of time with her Grandpop Shermie, Developed a bit of a jersey twang because of it

8. In her later years she still has a millimeter on Dipper

9. See’s Wendy as an older sister, regularly calls about teen stuff

10. Bad teeth, perfect skin (dipper is the opposite)

12. Gets nightmares about a lot, if not most of Weirdmagetton.

12a. Notably: the orb prison, the zodiac not working, Dipper dying and the Stans not switching in time

13. Likes to keep an eye on Pacifica, calls to check in and stuff. Not close friends as teens but Later on they’re super close

14. Despite enjoying the city (and the slightly bad memories) she ends up moving back to Gravity Falls when Dipper goes to college.

14a. She starts a little clothing/Art/Tourist Trap shop in town, right next to Grenda and Candy’s apartment

14b. Stan was super proud of her for handling Dipper leaving while she stayed like a champ

okay so I feel like she's kinda clingy but like,,, not to a point where it's possessive obv

for example if u were upset she'd step out of the room to give u space or js sit in comfortable silence.

however, I also I think that she has a preconceived mindset that if someones sad then they NEED to be cheered up, so u would have to communicate to her some stuff like that

but yeah I think she'd be good w boundaries as long as they're already set and explicitly stated

cus she has a habit of assuming what u need when that might not be the case

ok maybe this is me projecting but i feel like first: mabel loves cartoons. she would probably watch stuff like svtfoe and ducktales and rottmnt like all the time. and she probably made like tons of fanart on it too

but i also feel like once she got into highschool she thought it was like weird to like those cartoons and stuff so she like stopped watching them completely-

when she was on summer break b4 college tho i feel she would have gotten back into the shows and then she became either like a cartoon storyboard creator/director or like part of the artists team or just the director of her own entire cartoon show

Once Mabel graduated college, she moved to Gravity Falls.

Mabel opened a small clothing store called Mabel's Fashionable Threads. Every piece of clothing she sells in her shop she has designed herself. Mabel also used to make all of them herself until her store got more popular, and she got more employees to help her out. She is known as a strict but fair boss.

Mabel only wears clothing she designed and made herself.

While Mabel's store sells pretty much all types of clothing, it is best known for its sweaters.

Canon/Headcanon likelihood chart

So I've been thinking about @macdenlover 's "levels of headcanon" chart (about how heavily a HC is influenced by canon), so I decided to make my own scale about how likely a HC is to be true (including different levels of canon) using queer cartoon characters as examples :)

Dipper and Mabel go back to California and discover that almost nothing on Gravity Falls tv is available outside of Gravity Falls.

Ducktective does not exist outside of Gravity Falls.

None of the silly monster movies exist.

It’s a crushing realisation. And a mystery to solve.

Eventually, with Fords help, they work out that Gravity Falls is picking up trans-dimensional tv signals and all their tv channels are local or coming through wormholes.

Stan starts recording their favourite shows and movies on VHS/VCR right away and mailing them to California.

🌲 pines family headcanons ✨ click the read more for more in-depth headcanon stuff!

this started out as a little silly edit of ford, then i decided to do one for stan as well and once that happened i knew i had to do edits for the pines twins as well. i might end up doing others like soos, wendy and pacifica but for now we have the main four pines.

🌲 dipper has glasses but prefers not to wear them. he thinks they look nerdy but wears them more often with the support of mabel and his grunkles. 🌲 bisexual disaster. 🌲 dipper will always be a transboy in my head. struggled with gaining acceptance from his parents but knows he always has a place where he can be himself in gravity falls. 🌲 CW SELF HARM IMPLIED: his dysphoria and dissociation from his body ends up worse for a while after sock opera. for a while turns to… not so great methods to remind himself that his body is his own. 🌲 became clingy after weirdmageddon, either clinging to his sister and grunkles before going back to piedmont or just staying by mabel's side often after. 🌲 probably has pierced ears but would wear very subtle earrings, to mabel's displeasure.

🌠 big decora kei vibes. so many stickers and hair pins. she also will often wear mismatched socks! 🌠 is the one to suggest she and dipper get a matching hair streak. blue was the only color dipper would agree to. 🌠 mabel gives me big pansexual vibes. starts to discover her own identity around the time dipper does, and ends up dating candy and/or grenda for a hot minute. 🌠 wholly supported dipper when he came out as a transboy and was his biggest ally growing up. 🌠 after weirdmageddon she asks ford for drawing lessons. the two bond over arts and crafts. 🌠 CW MILD ED suffers from a sort of survivor's guilt after weirdmageddon, guilt over being tricked by bill and almost staying in mabeland manifesting mostly in the form of being a people pleaser, forgetting to eat and sleep. the other pines thankfully notice this and put a stop to it.

🎣 i love long haired stan. i like to imagine after the series the guy feels comfortable enough to grow his hair out again. 🎣 stretched earlobes! 🎣 is a transman and also gnc as hell. he also is insanely good at using makeup. (dipper and ford don't really use makeup and mabel just likes to be Silly with makeup.) 🎣 (tbh i can also imagine stanley as being transfeminine as well, they're just That Gender.) 🎣 as soon as mabel saw his "glorious mane" she was practically begging him to let her braid it. he pretends to just go along with it for her sake but he secretly loves having her do his hair. 🎣 the adhd to ford's autism. he definitely suffers hard from rejection sensitive dysphoria and tends to panic if it seems like someone is upset with him. (i.e. ford confronting him over the broken machine, mabel upset with him for lying in the land before swine.)

✋ his sweater is a huge comfort for him. in general he likes heavier clothes to ground him. ✋ i like to imagine him with plenty of earrings and tattoos. earrings mainly themed around space and stars and ends up getting some tattos on his wrists to cover the burn scars from weirdmageddon. ✋ a touch of the tism. has a hard time distinguishing tone. (i.e. not being able to tell if wendy was complimenting him ironically or not.) ✋ while he doesn't mind if people see him as a man, he himself doesn't feel all that attached to the idea of being male. fine with any pronouns but probably likes to use neopronouns. (maybe star/starself?) ✋ achillean, mainly attracted to enbies and men. tried to date a few girls growing up to try and be "normal" (comphet's a binch) but at around high school enough bad experiences made him avoid dating for a while. ✋ he loves loves loves space and astronomy! it's sort of his hyperfixation. used to name constellations with stanley while spending nights on the stan o war and they bond over this on the stan o war ii!
