wendy courduroy headcanons!!!

had a momentary (READ: MOMENTARY) horse girl arc when she was little

she wanted to try and find riding lessons but her dad shut her down on that pretty fast. she did axe throwing lessons instead. at age 8. she never really forgave him for that.

plays acoustic guitar!! she bought one second hand off of Robbie. she scrapped off the stickers of the shitty emo bands he liked and when there was still some discoloration/residue left over, she borrowed (stole) some stickers from the mystery shack.

she learned covers + chords + technique from youtube and while she's nowhere near professional, she will bust it out at any campfire if she's feeling up for it.

she and Ford have an interesting relationship. While he recognizes that there is a ton of potential in Wendy (not only in her physical abilities but also in her cleverness), he often is frustrated by her reluctance to apply herself, similarly he's not the biggest fan of her friends. Once Dipper left, she sort of took on the "apprentice" role. Meanwhile she views Ford as a sort of mentor figure, but still picks fights with him at times.

they'll go from discussing theories of the town to slamming doors. it's interesting. soos and stan stay out of their way.

when wendy got into her top choice college (something still in pacific northwest), the acceptance was printed and framed in the shack (gold frame too! stan says he has no idea where it came from -- he stole it)

but eventually wendy figures out that college isn't for her and drops out. that's when things get a bit rough with ford and her, but stan stays by her side.

he lets her stay in the mystery shack and work her old job while she figures things out.

like soos, wendy sees stan as the father she never had. they're both similar people: caring and clever while also blunt and hiding a ton of anxieties. especially as wendy gets older, the two will often sit on the porch, drink, and talk until dawn.

when visiting one summer (cause they do visit), mabel begs wendy to let her cut wendy's hair. it's a rough short cut, but it's the most "herself" wendy's ever felt. she eventually will trade it in for a more styled version, but holds onto the polaroid mabel took the night of the cut.

goes to see campy and horror movies with dipper whenever he's in town. yes, they've gone to see rocky horror three times. (a summerween costume was planned, but never brought to execution. a true tragedy)

every year on her birthday, soos gifts wendy something related to "straight blanchin'". it's gotten to the point where she has t-shirts, cds, stickers, even a custom mug for the song. she looks him dead in the eye and says she is going to burn the newest addition. in reality, she keeps in on a small shelf in her closet, where she can see it but nobody else has to know.

pines twins headcanons!

mabel ran a roblox youtube channel for at least six months (dipper edited all the videos. he told her that she'd have to pay him, but he secretly enjoys it and never asks about payment again. mabel forgot)

this ended though after mabel got banned for getting into fights in the chat (dress to impress..........)

they go to the roller rink together: mabel cause she can actually skate and can do (read:attempt) tricks in her customized skates and dipper so he can play the low quality arcade games. they both get slushies together once dipper's exhausted the games and mabel has gotten scraped up enough.

dipper ran cross country, mabel did theatre

she's not getting leads in shows, but she's by far the most enthusiastic and decides to use her time "lending her talents" to the costume department. the school's entire production of oklahoma had them all wearing sweaters

i feel like she convinced dipper to eventually join crew (either lighting or scenic)

mabel gets superrrrrr into shrinky dinks (she makes earrings, rings, little keychains). dipper puts a few on his backpack. mabel also mails a whole box to ford, stan, wendy, and soos.

dipper joins the hacking team at his school and participates in hackathons (he's decently good! his college counselor tries to get him to major in computer science, but he decided against it and instead wants to major in history and film).

both are absolute BEASTS at just dance

after the summer in gravity falls, both develop some sleeping problems (and some recurring nightmares....). So once they have licenses, they'll go on long night drives.

sometimes they get fast food, other times they go sit in the park, sometimes they just drive around.

they talk about the good parts a lot, the bad is often left unsaid.

sometimes they (usually dipper) will try and broach the subject, but it never has gotten too far. for better or worse.

mabel floats between different jobs in high school but her favorites were working at an ice cream shop and a party supply store.

dipper only ever works one place during high school and it's front desk at a local historical society (he wrote about six emails to the owner begging for the job, eventually they relented)

while neither twin tells the other, both of them have called stan's phone when they know he's asleep, just to hear his voice on the answering machine so they don't forget it.
