Seeing the opinions on whether or not Caitlyn got a significant enough comeuppance is so interesting — especially since some have pointed out that wanting Caitlyn to suffer wouldn’t do anything, the desire to see her humiliated is ineffective at best.

Also thinking about this in tandem with Still Water and weaponization of (righteous?) punishment. What exactly is a just punishment? What exactly is an effective apology? How does punishment and law and order exist in a subjective world? How do those things exist in a world full of emotion? How do we, mere mortals, even determine any of these things? Not to mention the part elitism and the class divide plays in any of this.

In my personal opinion, Caitlyn turned the tides in the exact way she should have come act III. She kept Jinx safe, fed, away from Still Water Hold and aided in her escape. She accepted all of her mistakes and faults. She went to war for the right thing, stepped outside of herself for others, for the cause. She gave up her seat on the council and ended the series providing love for someone who’s been so desperate for it her entire life.

Caitlyn did so many awful things, but how do we even measure that and level it with a just punishment as a collective? Maybe Caitlyn doesn’t deserve any good things ever again after all she did, but how exactly would we enact/dictate that? Is rehabilitation only afforded to people who have experienced the punishment they “deserve”? How do we measure what one “deserves”? Is the cycle of violence real and is it actually never ending?

Is all the good that Caitlyn could ever do after the fact enough to mend all the mistakes she made during?

Feral for eddie cause fact that I giggle and kick my feet whenever Eddie come up my screen is a little scary for me cause I feel insane.

Anyways a thought, I feel like Eddie would be such an amazing yearner like??? Eddie just realizing that maybe he is in love, but he doesn't want to acknowledge it so he's in denial and push it away, far away, to the depths of his core only for it to resurface into his chest with a pang when he sees their smile or remembers it (he thinks it's a heart attack or a panic attack at some point). Also he wants to be near them, but he doesn't want to acknowledge his feelings, he would try his best to sit next to them and stand next to them so his shoulders or hips can just slightly graze theirs. At this point, Eddie is already head over heels but deep in denial, whenever he sees you, his eyes tail you quietly. the thing is, the crew notices, but they stay quiet cause they have a bet going on. How long does Eddie stay quiet before he goes insane??? Buck bets on a few more months, Hen agrees, but Chimney and Bobby think it's lesser than that.

And you know what, Bobby and Chimney wins, cause a few weeks after that Eddie goes to your house to confront you cause you've been avoiding him apparently. He notices and he's freaking out a little cause what do you mean you can't hang out with me? Usually you're okay to hang whenever, but the past few weeks, you've been saying no. You're out here confused like 🧍. You were busy with work and maybe, a tad bit, you're avoiding him cause you might also be in love with him, but you want to keep it normal, so you made sure you're slowly creating this boundary with him. Ever so slightly, unfortunately for you, he's kinda down bad for you, so he notices when you pull away.

Both of you go back and forth, you denying, him pressing the matter. You get tired of it so you ask him to just go home and actually have the conversation some other day when he's stops acting weird (gaslighting at best omg 😔). And he gets angry and blurts maybe I care cause I love you omg why do you think I would even care about all this? and you're once again 🧍👁️👄👁️, caught off guard by what's he's saying. And he's staring at you with his sad brown Disney princess eyes. He slowly approaches you and holds your face in his hands and kisses you.

Anyways, it's a happy ending. I'M SORRY THIS IS LONG?????? ignore it if you'd like 💖 I HOPE YOU HAVE A NICE DAY AND WEEKEND 💗. Will be going into my cave now.

Honestly I think crocodile/dragon and crocodile/Doflamingo are only interesting when treated as failed relationships spinning off into increasingly petty grudges and instigations. I am now going to take his as an opportunity to rant about Dragodile because I unironically think it's an interesting ship if Crocodad Real and I don't think I'm ever going to find a better excuse to rant about it unprompted lmao SO HERE WE GO

A marine and a pirate falling in love with each other is already some starcrossed lovers kinda BS. But then it's like, a FORMER marine and pirate who is WORKING FOR THE GOVERNMENT. That's EXTRA JUICY, it adds layers to the starcrossed lovers shit, and I am not immune to it, it's FACINATING, like what was the dynamic here

But also we don't even know when Dragon left the marines and when he and Crocodile first met, so for all we know it could've been some real enemies-to-lovers-to-enemies shit AND THAT'S SO INTERESTING

(Also the mere concept that Dragon could've been chasing Crocodile around kinda like Smoker tried to chase Luffy, only for Crocodile to become a Shichibukai and Dragon having to give up because they're on the same side now (kinda). Like. That is so fucking funny. And then he leaves the Marines to start a revolution. Or just out of spite dshgjdgs)

Then there's the absolutely hysterical part where Crocodile is the meanest, most intimidating, standoff-ish asshole around. So the idea Dragon was fucking into that is INCREDIBLE. THIS MAN LIKES BEING BULLIED DFSHFKGHFGJHDS (It's possible Young Croc might've been less mean but it's funnier if he wasn't)

And yeah. Somehow. In complete secret. A romance blooms.

And then there's a baby.

And Crocodile transes his gender.

And there's a divorce.

And 17 years later Crocodile has commited dozens of unforgivable warcrimes that are almost exactly the kind of things Dragon wanted to stop the government from doing to begin with.

Mind you, I don't actually think there's coming back from that, this relationship was burned to the ground and the ashes blown away by wind, there is nothing left

But could you imagine if despite the anger and the hurt and the warcrimes they still somehow loved each other
